If there are any questions please be sure to ask any Moderator or Staff Member you happen to see online! New or old characters are welcome, as long as they can be fit into our time-frame. This application is strictly done in an OOC (out of character) fashion.

Fill this out with as much information as you wish about your character, and be as detailed as you can possibly be. An application that has had no time put into it, with one line answers or has skipped questions will returned as unfinished back to the player.

--(optional) If you have looked over the Flaws and wish to go ahead and choose one, two or three flaws, please list them here. Remember, if you choose a flaw and fail to abide by it, you could lose up to 100xp. Every flaw you choose must have a paragraph explanation of why your character has that flaw. [Please be aware that the OH RPG caters to people who are part of the adventuring company. If you are going to be an 'outsider' working for another organization or faction in Arith be aware that you are the architect of your own story and cannot expect the DM's to cater at all times to the fact you are not part of our main group!]

[Here's some basic help for choosing trait point placement.

STR: If you are going to be a melee fighter focusing on strength, then your STR is going to be important as it adds to your melee weapon's damage. Strength also adds to any rolls you are asked to make that requires strength such as busting down doors, or breaking into locked coffins, etc.

QCK: BUT if you are a type of fighter (such as a swashbuckler, or swordmaster) and use "Dexterous Fighter" STR isn't going to be as important to you because your QCK adds to your MELEE damage. QCK also gives you your Defense DC, or the number someone has to roll to even hit you. It is 10+QCK so someone with 5 in QCK has a DDC of DC15, someone has to roll 1d20 and roll 15 or over to hit you. QCK also adds to your Strike Roll, which means when you roll 1d20 to hit someone, you add your QCK to attempt to make their DDC. QCK is also your damage for RANGED weapons.

END: This helps you deal with things that challenge your body's endurance such as poisons, disease, etc. It also gets added to your hit point total.  [It is very easy to gain / purchase items to boost END but it will not add to your hit points.]

WLP: This helps you deal with things that challenge you mentally, or magically. When someone casts a spell on you, or tries to make you flee in fear, or be overcome with desire for them, etc... you add your Willpower to this. Willpower helps you fight against detrimental magic effects on you. It also adds to your hit points. [It is easy to purchase / gain items to boost WLP but they don't add to hit points.

INT: Really the only reason you should focus on INT is if you are a magic caster. INT adds to both your magical strike, and your magical damage. It also adds to any Knowledge rolls you are asked to make. If you are not a magic caster and aren't going to take any Knowledge skills, you really don't have to worry much about INT.

PER: What you perceive, whether by searching, spotting, listening or any other perception means. This is important, but there are skills and items that can help add to your spot, listen, and search so unless this is integral to your character I would not focus my points here.

CHA: Charisma is important to people like charmers, and swordmasters, and even thief adepts who have skills that are based on your charisma. It also helps you find out information from people, aiding in Diplomacy and other talents and tactics that need a little fast talking and charm to do.]
