Tesarik One: Intro: No undead tonight! Instead, Maria has word from Madder
that Lord Gaspar and his daughter Vidalya have been kidnapped and held
hostage in their own home in Craggs, along the coast of Madder...by pirates!
It is a dire situation
Tesarik One: and Maria quickly calls those willing and able to meet her at
the Port Union to send them to the swampy kingdom of the Serpent-King,
Madder! Their goal? Save the Lord and his daughter and run the pirates away!

Roguish Luck: Logen would be most appreciative, having Maria foot the bill
for Logen to go to Madder and do a little inspection. It'd come in handy when
he lead a rag tag group there for investigation into what makes Kythin tick.
The Northman was
Roguish Luck: there at the Port Union station, arms folded over his chest as
he waited there patiently. A fresh cigar rested between his lips with a
burning cherry at the end. Tendrils of smoke would drift away from his face
as he glanced about.[

DaemianBerazalle: ::He slipped his chain shirt on before leaving the inn,
tucking his amulet between it and his tunic. He'd shifted his sword to rest
on his left hip, the crossbow snugly secured to his back. He heard mention
of where the current
DaemianBerazalle: trouble was taking place and decided then and there to
lend whatever aid he could. More than a bit intrigued in learning what he
could of this region they were headed:: <d>
a merciful edge: Pirates, hm? He hadn't dealt with pirates for a while.
Might be interesting. And as always, is was some strange bit of fun to test
his skills against enemies who didn't hold themselves to the same moral
standard to which he held
Violeta Capraru: Violeta, the recently patched up gypsy, stood not far off
from the Northman, leaning against a tree with the bended lift of one arm.
Sans her favorite coat, she appeared in a new, robust red shirt, the black of
leather pants, boots,
scales change: Madder. Their destination was Madder. He would have sworn
Maria was plotting to aid Logen in his fool quest if not for the abducted
nobility. He came along looking more than a bit ragged after the previous
evening, but those peace-
a vision bereft: Maria had hired the White Raven along for the ride, if
hired was the right word. No money exchanged hands, it was more than that,
information perhaps. She stood at the back, hands folded in front of her,
waiting for the portal to open.
a merciful edge: himself. So he got himself all cloaked up and armed with
his one whole weapon, and off it was to the port union, thumb rubbing idly at
his pinky stump. Hopefully he kept all his parts this time.
Violeta Capraru: half corset and of course longswords. The cloak topped it
all of. Amazingly, the mess of red-touched dark curls had been tied back away
from her face this evening. Standing in a spot that received cloud after
cloud of Rum and
scales change: ties were gone from his weapons. Pirates were good for
releasing a little frustration through violence. All without a word out of
him, or so he hoped considering the Gypsy and Northman that had chosen to
come along to Port Union for
Violeta Capraru: Vanilla smoke, she simply waited there.. a grin on her
face. -d-
scales change: the portal to Madder's coast. -d
Tesarik One: The portal was open, upon stepping through they'd find
themselves behind a tall brickwork fence with the lord's manor across the
way. An iron fence was in the wall several feet away, and the house was about
50 feet from the wall,
Tesarik One: a garden in between. A cobbled path led to the front door of
the manor house.
melodic angeIs: Mira looked down at the chain shirt and check on her bolt.
The armor would have been a good idea to wear, but she was still kind of
scared of it. Beside, she wanted to get it nice and washed. It was on a dead
guy. Yeah, not for her just yet. Checking the bun was enough to hold back
those trumble of curls, she nodded. She was ready as ever. The portal opened
off to Madder she went. Stepping out to the sight of the lords manor, she
wondered why someone wanted such a huge place to live. -d-
a vision bereft: She stepped on through as quickly and quietly as possible
and leaned her back against the tall wall and gazed out towards the nearby
ocean. She could smell that scent of saltwater, and it made her smile a bit
more than usual.

smile of his eyes before turning back to step through the portal.[d]

followed after, giving a nod to all about her, should they catch eyes with
her. Kythin included. Imagine that.

Tesarik One: 12+ notice that there are pirates in position on the roof of
the manor. The wall itself was about 6 feet high, so not exceedingly tall.
17+ notice that there is more than just pirates on the roof, some sort of
Tesarik One: siege weapon or weapons are up there too.
Violeta Capraru: Vi stopped, observing those on the roof. "Well.. seems they
have lookouts.."
DaemianBerazalle: ::He conferred with the others quietly, relaying what he
could see and describe of the emplacements on the roof:: <d>
a merciful edge: He noticed nothing. Or rather he noticed too much to
process. He grunted and pinched the bridge of his nose, eyes closing, and
caught the ioun stone with his free hand to tuck it away.
Tesarik One: The door is closed on the manor, and there are 2 large windows
on either side of the door.
Tesarik One: Vi roll a d20 for the group please.
Roguish Luck: Logen squinted as he tried to look towards the roof. Once they
were pointed out, he could notice them. "So they're holing up here..? Good..
I didn't want to go for a sailboat ride.."[d]

playing the part of a god. it was laughable. What wasn't quite as laughable
was the preparations he expected the pirates to have undergone. Course he

Tesarik One: They are spotted! Suddenly, a heavy metal ball comes flinging
through the air, striking the wall near them!
Tesarik One: The wall cracks, bits of mortar and stone fly about, pelting
them but not doing too much harm. A warning shot.
a merciful edge: That snapped him right out of his headache. He blinked and
ducked away from the flying bits as much as he was able to, then snorted out
a little laugh. "Well it seems stealth isn't an option." Which was fine with
him, he didn't much
Roguish Luck: Logen was covered in concrete dust and debris. The only
problem he had with it is that they killed the cherry on his cigar. Ruined
it, in fact, covering it in dust. Logen blew the dust from his lips and
nostrils and slammed the
a vision bereft: As the ball hit the wall, she ducked down on her knees
behind the wall itself, holding her arms over her head as bits and pieces of
brick went everywhere. "So much for not being seen," she mumbled.

quite loudly. "You missed!"
Roguish Luck: cigar down on to the ground. "Sons of bitches. Someone needs
to take care of that now."[d]
DaemianBerazalle: ::He scanned the outer wall of the manor, looking to see
if it would be easy to climb or descend, levering a bolt into place while
putting himself into a good vantage point to fire:: <d>
Violeta Capraru: Vi called out towards the pirates. "That was rather
rude..!" Smirking, Vi went towards the wall, stepping out in front of the
others a bit. She pondered trying to jump the thing...
Tesarik One: Another ball was sent for the group, aiming for Kyle though,
just a plain ball. They hadn't started using the explosive AoE balls yet!

crossbow bolt out of the air in front of him, then decided to dodge and weave
some more, what with how ridiculously accurate these pirates were being
tonight.

Violeta Capraru: Vi took off after the swordmaster, letting him be the focal
point. He played a pretty mean moving target! Impressed she was, even when
she ran right by him and towards the front door in a scurry. The mountain of

Violeta Capraru: too high for her little ass to get up there, not without
storming the 'castle' first. (Pass)

may attempt to lockpick, or break down the door to get inside.

a merciful edge: He got to the manor and glanced up at it briefly, sheathed
his sword, then rummaged in his pack. He knew using a rope would just get it
cut and down he'd fall, so he rustled up the climbing gear he'd received from
that tower they'd
a merciful edge: gone to..the gloves anyway, since he'd be climbing with
mostly his hands..and then he started to climb, up up! Hopefully.

Vi as she reached the front door, trying to keep her from doing anything to
actually enter!

scales change: Since the distraction made flesh decided to do what he did
best, Kythin set about the clearly set path before him. Making in Violet's
wake, real habit he was making of that.., towards the door. He'd hold off on
excerising the capab-

there it'd be a simple matter to remove the door as a barrier.. -and slam it
over the heads of any pirates immediately without. -d

Roguish Luck: He'll be damned if he had given that Crossbow to Daemian just
the night before. Logen chuckled to himself for a moment at the irony before
turning and burning. Those massive thighs and calves took the large target
towards the front
Roguish Luck: door, pumping as fast as his heart could allow him to. Logen
had no intention to stop either. His eyes had focused on the door as if to
will it open, if not, he'd be using his body to get through it when he
could.[d]
Tesarik One: Logen's at the door, on your next turn you can continue your
action and attempt to break the door down.

a vision bereft: It would not do for her at all to be left behind, since she
had to keep everyone alive! Though it didn't seem many of them had ranged
weapons, a longbow was her weapon of choice. She quickly tugged it out of her
quiver and strung it, and grabbed an arrow, then kicked open the gate and ran
into the garden, aiming that bow and arrow towards Pirate 1.

least he could do was see how many bolts, knives, or swords he got shot or
stabbed with upon his entry! Kythin went quickly bout that action..though
once he had it creak-

why not.. maybe it'd even hit a pirate - or an escaping Lord. -d

and reaction.
Tesarik One: As the door burst open with a kick, two pirates on a balcony on
the second floor shot right at Kythin as it opened with their blunderbuss
guns.

melodic angeIs: She saw the ball coming for her and the healer. This wasn't
going to be good as it just exploded several feet beside her. She didn’t have
enough time to do anything as she was lifted from the ground from the ,
thrown back from the shrapnel that hit her in her gut, and slammed back on
the ground. She felt a bit dizzy and sat up. Gasping in pain, blood just
gushed from her wound’s, pants were fire. She swatted it out before shoving
heself from the gound. She would have to deal with later, she was near the
house. Since her crossbow would take some time to laod, she just ran! -d-

a vision bereft: Falqun was wounded, this was never good. She was a healer,
yes, but she did not heal very well herself. She was now burned, and bits of

fear at the draconic man intimidated him quite nicely. He was pretty young,
hadn't been a pirate for all that long, and pissed himself as he was pushed
against that wall.

got 'em." Then he promptly fainted, and dropped that prized blunderbuss with

attacking people who dared ballistas to fire at him and climbed buildings, he
sheathed his sword and knelt down. Not hearing any combat from that entryway

face down no matter how much glory there supposedly was in it in those
ridicilous knight's tales. Kythin especially gave them no mind, there were
pirates ahead, funneling

sort of hard to tell, the Dragonblooded man acted much as one would expect of
a dragon.. or a raging beast, he took in two lungfuls of air..released them
in a roar exactly

shoving, and clawing his way through the ragtag band of rum-drinkers that
didn't have the decency to be Gypsies. -d

Roguish Luck: Well if the Dragonkin was going to clear a path for the
Northman, then Logen would have an easy stroll forward afterwards. It was odd
for him, not having to draw his Bastard at all just yet. While Kythin
couldn't exactly tear'em all
Roguish Luck: to pieces, Logen was happy to pick up a little of the slack.
The Northman having to rush one of the Jolly Crewmembers into a wall. The
poor man's head had to find out what a solid surface would do the the back of
one's skull. Once

moved towards the Captain's location. He moved to protect Logen's back, his
sword drawn from its scabbard as he slashed high before himself, the blade

advantage of Logen's exposed flank. He leaned forward, blade held at the
ready as he stared down any other takers who wanted to come try their luck

a vision bereft: She was so tired, she always got tired when she attempted
to fight, but sometimes it was necessary. She lagged behind, moving up the
stairway as fast as she could before reaching the scene of blood and
slaughter. So many wounded, the White Raven wasn't sure what to do first. She
made sure that her own team was healthy as they could be, and then began
moving along the pirates who'd fallen, stabilizing those that weren't at
death's door already. Not enough healing so they'd have the energy to get up
and fight, but enough that they would not die.

Violeta Capraru: Vi bent at the waist, picking up the blunderbuss from the
pirate she'd cut down. Well, this thing looked fun! Twisting a small bit,
she'd feed the thing in to a larger, deep pocket that ran a good
Violeta Capraru: length of her cloak. Righting her swords again, sights went
to the dragon, smirking a little. "I think yeh made him piss himself."
Nodding down at the young man he'd scared the daylights out of. But!
Violeta Capraru: "I'm ready whenever." For now, she'd rush forward, 
following the hallway's wall along to spin out and around the perimeter of
the dozen bodies, cutting in to those on the outer edge of the group. -d-

melodic angeIs: Breathing was still a bit ragged from the running. She was
getting out shape and need to get to hunting again. That would be good
pratice for her. Pale cheek flushed a pale pink as she sucked in her breath
while walking up the stairs to the room with the others. Crossbow had been
put up for the moment. It was to tight of a space her for to truly be able to
fight as wanted too. The long dagger, one you would see by used by hunters,
was pulled from the sheath and kept low. In her other hand was bolt from her
bow. Gripping both hard, she bit the inside of her cheek from groaning as the
pirates just came flooding the hall where they were. Thankful for her small
size, she ducked under on coming blade.

Tesarik One: As the door opened, whoever peeked in would see a sitting room,
with an inner door no doubt to the master bedroom. In this room was a large
hearth, a window which was now broken, a couch and several chairs and tables.

way he was dressed. He held a falchion in each hand, and had a wide smile on
his face which was set upon kyle first since he burst in, and then the others
as the door

acrobatic and with a dancing flourish as the swashbuckler sent both of his
blades to slash across Kyle's body.

Perhaps he'd just have to stop travelling in a group if he wanted to have a
proper duel. He was half tempted to just let Violeta handle this herself, but

touch. Bleeding on the rug beside him is his blonde daughter,

bruised, and the bottom half of her skirt is soaked in blood. She is nearly
