Tesarik One: Mistakes, please IM me.
Tesarik One: There's no one here that wasn't here Saturday right?
Tesarik One: Ok, that means I can do a very quick recap. The mission is to
find the caged demon and decide whether to release, or destroy the demon.
Cultists have built an altar over the demon's cage where they've been making
sacrifices for some
Tesarik One: time now in hopes of gaining some of the power of the demon.
It's affected the surrounding forest, especially on full or new moons.
They've been given the spell to open the "Maze" of trees to go right to the
glade in the center, but
Tesarik One: when they got there, twisted and corrupted adventurers from
ages past met them and fought to the death. With each splash of blood on the
altar they grew stronger, till the last one fell. They were looted, and now
stand in the glade
Tesarik One: before the stone altar (with carvings in Black Tongue & Runin)
seemingly alone. (Begin RP)
Lord Kissekatt: And well, all of this tension! He of course knew what he
wanted done about this demon, and as it was his homeland, anything else was
unacceptable. He was eyeing the others, mostly Kythin and Chuckles, when
there was a rustling
I Yield to None: -The drow adjusted his newly acquired armor, moving his
arms and body to get the feel for it. It was heavier than he was use to but
frankly he should be wearing pillows with the way he had been fighting.
Looking around he inhaled
I Yield to None: deeply and took in the surroundings once again now that the
fight was over and everyone had looted the corpses.- (Spot Check)
Lord Kissekatt: behind him, followed immediately by a very large, fluffy,
black and white cat tackling his legs. He stumbled forward and glanced down,
then tilted his head. "Mittens, what in the world are you doing here?" He
shouldered his bow,
OnlineHost: I Yield to None rolled 1 20-sided die: 12
I Yield to None: (+5 Alert = 17)
Lord Kissekatt: then leaned down and picked up the big fluffy cat, giving it
ear scritches and a nuzzle whilst it batted its white paws at his cheek, then
purred contentedly.
Indrila: Indrila took only a few things.. a potion and some rope, tucking
both into her pack. She then moved to the altar and knelt, looking along the
words that were carved upon it. Of all the languages she knew, Black Tongue
and Runin
Of Crimson Tides: ::The pirate lass had preoccupied herself with the task of
making good use of her newly acquired goods, hastily slipping into the
Mythral mail and helm without the slightest concern of whether or not anyone
saw something they
Indrila: were not them. But they'd been told the demon was caged beneath the
altar, so she was searching for any way to get beneath it.
No True Form: ~She turned some frowning her blades in her hand because she
had just threatened the lion dude, her eyes narrowed some then seeing the
lord guy loving on a big cat she couldnt help but blinking once,..ok that
was,..different.
No True Form: Shaking her head she turned and moved over to stand near the
ghost elf at this point she was the only one that Nani trusted~ (D)
Fiendish Arcane: ::Another swipe of his fingers through the blood that
stained the alter then glanced over towards Kythin smirking some before
glancing down towards the one that seemed to be heading this little
outting.:: Hmm so we let the knight
Tesarik One: Nothing new is noted with the Spot. The dead bodies have been
looted, there are still other bones and skeletons scattered around the glade,
and the path is still open through the trees.
Fiendish Arcane: fellow summon said demon then what play a game of chess?
::He smirked,..partially because he was already working on figuring out what
had been planned.:: *D
Lord Kissekatt: He even devlolved into quiet little murmurs with the cat,
giving some more scritches and pets before it hopped out of his arms, then
moved over towards Nani and Indrila, rubbing all up on their legs and
nuzzling. After the cat was
Indrila: "If the demon is caged, how do you think you will summon it?" That
just seemed logical to the ghost elf, and she nodded once to Nani when she
came closer to her. She rose, and folded her arms in front of her.
I Yield to None: "Each animal got stronger as he killed the others...." He
felt sure nothing else was immediately a threat and had looked back at them
when he began to speak. "I'm curious if that means the demon took back its
powers." A simply
Lord Kissekatt: let go, he looked over towards the constant smirker and
lifted a brow. "I was thinking kill it good and dead, myself." Although
really a game of chess with its banishment on the line would be perfectly
fine with him.
I Yield to None: observation only.-
Of Crimson Tides: shouldn't have! Shameless as ever, she would finally turn
her attentions to the bloody mess that had been made of the altar:: I say we
jus' sell th' beast ta th' highest bidder...if ther' be a way o' haulin' it
off...
I Yield to None: (*he = we)
scales change: Didn't take much in the way of smarts to recognize Xharlion
as an obstacle no matter his goal in this immediate task. Since even the
Fiendish Arcane: I have a feeling that there are some who have other plans
lain out,..::a faint shrug was given.::Course when you have its name that is
an easy task to take care of,..if it is the succubus's true name.
scales change: elf that couldn't shut his mouth hadn't sought to interrupt..
Kythin gave the altar a more thorugh look over. If they wanted a means to
summon the fiend.. then knowing such would be useful.. particularly after
'trying' to pull power
Tesarik One: There was a slight rumbling in the glade and the blood that had
spilled upon the altar began to spread, forming runes atop the stone altar
with the blood. Once the entire rune was formed, there was a peal of thunder
and then before
Tesarik One: them stood a tall, red silk garbed creature. It was difficult
to tell whether the creature was male or female, as it was very slender, with
long black hair and black eyes. Feet were bare, and it stood in a puddle of
blood near one
Tesarik One: of the dead bodies. In one hand was a heavy steel shield with a
super reflective surface they could all see themselves in, and a broadsword
sheathed on it's back. "So you come to brave the might of the demon Al
Basti?"

Fiendish Arcane: (Oh and Breadth of knowledge +5 = 40)
Lord Kissekatt: The cat gave Nani a nuzzling when he was picked up, but then
was sat down! He turned in place and looked at the supposed demon, ears
flattening, fur bristling, and a hiss emanating! Baldur didn't have much of a
different reaction,
OnlineHost: Razors Red Mist has entered the room.
Lord Kissekatt: though he didn't hiss. Just got an arrow ready.

I Yield to None: -Studying the demon he turned to watch the female molest
the cat before seeing its reaction. Cocking his head to the side while
looking back toward the demon the idea of launching the cat in the demon's
direction brougth a subtle
I Yield to None: smirk to his dark mouth.-
OnlineHost: ascending aria has left the room.
Lord Kissekatt: The cat was likely to launch itself at the demon in a moment
anyway. Certainly looked ready to pounce, but for now it was staying put.
Baldur spoke, though. "And are you the demon, or some sort of protector?"
Of Crimson Tides: ::notably jumped and even flinched a bit at the
thunderclap, even taking a step or two back before catching sight of the
demonic entity. Its apparent challenge and intent to fight was noted, though
considering her previous encounter
No True Form: ~Was not molesting the cat was protecting it, at least it
wasnt a mule.....ah hm....she shook her head some looking to Baldur then back
to the demon. Maybe he was right, was it gaurding something bigger badder,
and even if it was
Fiendish Arcane: ::He just watched silently then motioned Kythin on
forward,:;well go ahead .::His arms crossed over his chest then glanced
towards the archer before looking back over towards the shield and sword
weilder. Arms crossed over his ches.
No True Form: would it tell them?~ (D)
Of Crimson Tides: with that damned bear, jumping right in to meet his
challenge seemed like...a bad idea:: An' here I was expectin' some sort o'
gold fiddle er fun wager....
Fiendish Arcane: *Chest.::
Tesarik One: "I am the Guardian of the Demon. You must pass me before you
face the demon. Why are you worthy of braving the might of Al Basti, and
winning the treasures concealed beneath this altar?"
I Yield to None: "Treasure?" While probably a cliche conclusion, it was
always good to have confirmation of treasure.-
Tesarik One: The Guardian in red paused, glancing around the glade to the
bones and bodies of those that were here, then back to the group. "Why are
you better than these who have failed?"
Tesarik One: "Mounds of treasure."
I Yield to None: "When you say mounds...... are we talking, mounds or...
mooooounds?" He was actually having a conversation with this thing, how
interesting. He then pointed to the bodies. "They are dead, we aren't. That's
your answer." (d)
scales change: Curious.. a Guardian of the Demon.. protecting the demon
then? " Words do will prove nothing, Guardian. " -d
scales change: [ scratch out that do.. ha. ]
Lord Kissekatt: He wrinkled his nose at the statement that it was not the
actual demon. "I suppose if we must pass you to kill the bitch, so be it.
Mittens. Kill it."
Fiendish Arcane: ::He had to chuckle hearing the archer,:;of this is going
to be truely amusing to watch.
Lord Kissekatt: Mittens did not even hesitate for a fraction of a second,
charging forward, shifting right on into his human form, and going all
claw-crazy at the Guardian. (Skill: Patents of Nobility, Mittens taking
Baldur's place for combat.
Lord Kissekatt: DC 22, 44 hp)

Tesarik One: Miss.
Fiendish Arcane: I give the feline only a few more breaths,::he tilted his
head some as he raised a hand pressing hair back tucking it behind his ear
with a smirk.::
Tesarik One: The Guardian shimmered into red energy, the attack missing. It
tsked and shook it's head. "So you wish to keep fighting. Then you will fight
to prove your worth." It's free hand rose, and bones began to rattle and
shake around
Lord Kissekatt: "Oh come now, Mittens, you can do better than that." He
sighed, put his bow away for now, and leaned against a tree to watch how this
unfolded.
Fiendish Arcane: ::He glanced over towards the archer,::idiot.

Lord Kissekatt: Well Indrila was on the same page as him regarding this
whole killing the demon thing, so he figured he'd see what she could do!
Perhaps she was better prepared than he was, since he'd just been here to
scout initially! "Indrila,
Lord Kissekatt: why don't you go ahead and have a stab at it?" He didn't
mean literally a stab, but she could do that if she wanted. (Reflective
Direction, giving turn to Indrila, 1 use remaining this fight)

Although when she called attention to it by kneeling down and touching the
