Tesarik One: Log On
scales change: No matter how great the Black Knight of Dunsany's desire to
rebuild the ancient kingdom not only to its former heights but in his image.
Only the land surronding the castle were truly reaching any sort of growth
now that the surviv-
scales change: ors of the village of Lynd took up some of the land outside
the of ten acres immediately around the castle. How well survivors composed
soley of women and children could defend themselvs was debatable in the eyes
of Kythin. It could
scales change: be a good start.. if the many vulnerabilities of the lands
within a land assualted by both his Predacessor and himself in all too recent
memory. There was of course.. the continued nuisances of his place in the
Heart and his less ce
scales change: rtain place among the adventuring groups off and on enemies
in the form of Runik organization. All messages back and forth had ceased
whether from disinterest or wariness due to his growning infamy the Knight
continued to be uncert-
scales change: ain. All that he knew.. was the Heart would be of little use
his goals for the would be kingdom he sought to carve out of the Kullyr
Barony. -d
scales change: The Black Knight himself continued to occupy the castle
during his off-hours when not playing adventurer among a Heart seemingly
growing all the more distrustful of its 'Prodigal' son. If the reactions of
his comrades during recent
scales change: expedition were any evidence..it would not be too long before
Maria decided his continued presence more liability than asset. These
thoughts were far too often on his mind even as he eyed the dummy lining a
wall of the castle's thr
scales change: one room that now wore the attire removed from the
ash-composed corpse of a Paladin of Inhep. The garb of a Sun worshipper in
the once vampire ruled Dunsany.. somewhere there was irony Kythin enjoyed in
the consideration. " Aaron
scales change: would not be pleased with these turn of events.. " Idle
musings.. damning little things. -d
Tesarik One: While his attention was on the dummy that now wore the garb of
an Inhep follower, a mist was idling it's way into the castle. Castles were
drafty things, even more so one as old as the Dunsany keep. One would not
know for sure if
Tesarik One: the mist had gathered in the bowels of the castle and come up
from underground or snuck itself in one of the chinks above ground but what
was certain was that Kythin would feel the presence of a black mage in his
home. The mist
Tesarik One: coalesced near a chair, twisting and writhing together until
the form of a dark skinned woman had taken it's place. She was not a drow,
her skin was light brown, her short hair dark brown curls, and her eyes a
beautiful bold green.
Tesarik One: She wore gaudy attire of gold and black leather that fit her
curves like it had been painted upon her, with a golden collar that framed
her face. Lips were strawberry red and curved into a slight smile. "No, he
would not." She
Tesarik One: glanced around, looking at any of the changes that had been
made upon the area since last she'd been here - yes, she'd been to this place
when it was but a heap of rock and dirt - and took it all in with that
knowing smile still
Tesarik One: upon her lips. Her eyes fell back upon the Knight of Dunsany.
"And how long will you continue to serve the Heart, while carving out a place
for you here in Kullyr?"
scales change: These days the presence of anyone in the castle save for
Kythin or the many ghosts of the ancient kingdom came as a rarity - since
Mira's quiet departure. Recognition of the intrusion upon his castle earned
his contained ire.. espec
scales change: ially when the voice came without any immediate assualt upon
his person. An agent of the Barony would have struck the Knight first, this
he did not doubt. Leaving the possiblities slim.. one of Maria's secret
contacts or an agent of
scales change: Runik. " Until it is no longer worth my while. " Especially
considering how the Northman and Gypsy he'd considered friends seemed to have
disappeared on their journey to Rumeria. What remained in the Heart save for
the means to acqu
scales change: ire items of power? Not at all pleased with having someone at
his back, Kythin turned on his heel to face the voice and put the Inhep garb
covered dummy to his back. " And to whom do I owe this.. visitation? " The
answer would be
scales change: telling, unless Maria had finally determined his place as a
double agent.. he considered her with respect.. and a level of wariness..
that redhead had earned it. Just not nearly enough to keep his loyalties
clear. -d
Tesarik One: Leather covered legs crossed, and the dark woman leaned back,
relaxing in the chair as she regarded Kythin. She didn't seem to have much in
the way of weaponry except a curled up whip on one hip, but a black mage
didn't need mundane
Tesarik One: weaponry to wreak havoc! The scent of decay began to reach him,
it wasn't too terrible, but it was something she could not shake even with
all the baths in the world. Tongue slid behind her upper teeth back and
forth as she watched
Tesarik One: him, and then she motioned towards the dummy he was now
standing in front of, "Tell me the story of how you acquired such a piece of
history as what stands behind you?" She wasn't seeming to be very forthcoming
as to why she was
Tesarik One: there or who sent her. Perhaps she just wasn't ready to share
it yet. But she would share her name. "I'm Ivy." She grinned widely, unable
for a split second to hide the telltale signs of her race - vampire - from
him when her lips
Tesarik One: slid upwards from her teeth, but it was brief. "It has been
ages since I've been in this castle. I hid here once when it was nothing more
than old rock walls and ghosts of ancient times."
scales change: A request for the tale behind the Inhep follower attire
gracing the dummy behind him? What need was there to part with that tale..
the entitled knight was no bard. Far more interesting to his sensibilities
was the nature of the fem-
scales change: ale across from his position. A vampire. " I imagine I could
have have kept your ilk from this place for too long. " After all to his
knowledge vampires had a long history with the ancient kingdom that had come
into his hands. "
scales change: Perhaps that is a question best asked of the so-called
'Divine' Sulaman. " If anyone was to know that ancient name, a vampire who
visited Dunsany of those ancient times must no doubt be among them. " Gifting
the chance to tell on my
scales change: own before you chance something more commanding hm? " It
wasn't difficult to consider how likely it was to wind up under the
puppeteering strings of another vampire. " They and We found the sanctuary,
they betrayed and we sought
scales change: their deaths of it. " Why bothering informing of his
suspicions in regard to two different Gods and the matter of Sulaman.. or
even how that related to the Obsidian Heart. -d
scales change: bother*
Tesarik One: She sighed and shook her head, "Pitiful storytelling. Really
now, besting the Divine Sulaman and the crazy Inhepites...Inhepans whatever
they are calling themselves these days surely deserves more than a ...one
sentence summary."
Tesarik One: She smirked, and then uncrossed her legs and rose upwards.
Across the floor she headed towards him, the scent of the grave mixed with
funerial flower perfume getting stronger as she approached. She stopped in
front of him, she was a
Tesarik One: normal sized woman, 5'6" without heels, but in this case her
heeled boots brought her more to a 5'8" height. Her bare hand raised, and
soft fingertips trailed along his cheek then beneath his chin, gently turning
his head to face
Tesarik One: her fully, then pressing one finger upon his lips to keep him
silent for now. "I have great interest in this place, and its history, and
Dunsany in general. I am not so old as to have actually been here when it was
Dunsany, though I
Tesarik One: hid in the old castle here, reading what I could find and
communing with the dead. The Hexenthal story is an interesting one. This is
why when I was approached to uh...pay you a visit... I jumped at the chance
to come back here, and
Tesarik One: see the one that now bears the colors of Dunsany. I'm sure
you've all sorts of plans in that head of yours, don't you?" She moved her
fingers to give a little tap of his forehead, then leaned forward and grazed
her teeth across an
Tesarik One: earlobe, before whispering in a deeper, sultry voice right in
his ear, "Runik sends it's regards."
scales change: " I am no bard. " Nor did he pretend to have a talent for it
.. if he had any talent it involved canvas.. and copius amounts of blood.
Kythin did not care to play storyteller for another in what had become his
castle, his lands upon
scales change: the last Hexenthal's demise. Steel-gray eyes narrowed upon
the instant of her touch, yet he chose not to act.. whether it foolish or
not. Old habits died hard.. especially those instilled during a time among
cultist.. and he knew
scales change: how well vampires enjoyed their cultists. Why bother riling
this one up as the Heart had the last one any of them had encountered ..that
had not happened to be among the Heart's own. Kept silent by a mere digit to
his lips, Kythin
scales change: bristled with anger held in check. This was insolence to the
Master of the Castle.. and while he listened his fingers itched to make for
one of the weapons paranoia kept on his person. The sultry spoken mention of
Runik.. stalled
scales change: that blood-seeking appendage until it balled itself into a
fist at his side. When the digit at his lips moved on.. they formed a grim
expression on that otherwise fair visage. " Hmph.. and here I had thought
Runik tired of its game
scales change: with the Heart. " Or maybe it had.. and this new game
involved Dunsany and himself far more than anything else. " Why are you here,
Ivy? " -d
Tesarik One: "To remind you that even though we may be silent at times, we
watch everything. Just a friendly visit, unless you wish it to become
unfriendly of course." She'd pulled her lips from his ear to speak again,
though it was a few
Tesarik One: more moments before she stepped out of his personal space,
though remained still close to him. She tilted her head slightly, and stared
at him with unblinking eyes for far too long before dark lashes blinked over
her bright green
Tesarik One: eyes and she moved away from him to start walking leisurely
around the room. "Such a big place, for one person. Such big plans, for one
man. Perhaps you could use a woman's touch in this place?" She smiled over
her shoulder at him
Tesarik One: and winked, then went back to slowly taking stock of everything
in the room they were within. She had not attempted to control him - yet.
But she itched to do so, it was only because of her association with Runik
and their desires
Tesarik One: for this visit that she did not take advantage, or attempted to
take advantage of Kythin and walk away with whatever she desired. "Dunsany
was known for being very welcoming to those of the black arts. Will that
remain the case when
Tesarik One: you carve a second Dunsany out of these cold Kullyrian hills?"
scales change: Kythin had never been certain of his standing within Runik
especially considering his failure to bring them Ashton Locke's head. Even
though they hadn't asked for the man's head persay, yet the thief was no
longer a visible personal
scales change: ity among the Heart. " Exactly what is my place with Runik if
they seek only to keep an eye on my activities. " Course he percieved the
fact they alerted them to their present eyes at least somewhat respectful.. a
decision on their
scales change: part that set well with the Black Knight.. , whether it was
intended on the part of the organization or not. " You would not be the first
to say as much, Ivy, Magdelana certainly did not offer much of a decorative
sense precede Aar-
scales change: on's demise.. " Nor had Mira.. but he expected little out of
a woman who favored the wilderness to civilised society. Kythin considered
the vampire before him with mild interest. If Runik could prove more useful
to securing Dunsany
scales change: .. what more profitable alliance could he find? These musings
were interrupted by Ivy herself and her query.. only to earn a response from
Kythin as a grin grew into its proper place as the Black Tongue graced both
their ears. " I
scales change: embrace the Black Arts in my own way, you and other
practitioners will remain welcome. ..Especially should they wish to .. aid
this new Dunsany with those talents. " -d
Tesarik One: "You are a person of interest in Runik. Of course, had you
completed the task you were given by them you may have reached Second or even
Third Associate by now, but you remain merely an interesting person to us
right now. An ally."
Tesarik One: She found her way back to the chair she'd been sitting at
earlier, and down she went, crossing her legs again. One hand rested on her
lap, the other absently trailed along her neck and bare chest as she stared
across at him in
Tesarik One: thought for several long, quiet moments before speaking again.
"Lady Hexenthal is an idiot, she thinks she is going to be able to raise that
bastard of hers that she was given as a "good and noble man". But the child
was baptized
Tesarik One: into darkness and there is little that can cut the threads that
the dark gods weave for certain people. She will die a lonely, heartbroken
woman. She cannot even see the gift that the Hexenthal King gave her by
bringing her back to
Tesarik One: life. It is the type of love story that lives forever, love
that even time cannot quench. Yet unrequited love is the worst of them all."
She smiled across at him and relaxed more in her chair. "I could help you
raise an army of
Tesarik One: undead....."
scales change: A person of.. interest.. something he suspected would remain
until either that task was finally completed or something else was done.
Kythin considered this a promising fact still.. allies were much more useful
to his plans than a
scales change: new Master. Listening intently earned information.. though he
did not see how any regarding the Lady Hexenthal could be of aid..the child
though.. he would be a thorn. The one individual that could challenge his
claim to Dunsany as
scales change: both claims were about as legitmate.. an 'adopted' son versus
the late King's First and Last Black Knight? Letting the boy come of age
would only bring trouble. This matter..remained one only in his head..
unwilling to share it with
scales change: Ivy. " Your proposal does interest me.; however, I am no fool
Ivy.. I know such aid from you would cost me. What is it you wish in
exchange? " An army could be useful after all.. a general could be useful.
His considerations of this
scales change: brought a curious consideration.. one he imagined would irk
his fellow Dragonblooded in the Heart if it were discovered. " .. What do you
know.. of creating undead dragons? " -d
Tesarik One: "Runik has assigned the child to me personally." Now that was
information he'd probably not get from anyone else. She rested, both hands
now across her stomach, head against the back of the chair just chatting it
seemed. "When the
Tesarik One: child is of age, I am to sire him as a vampire under my
control." She tilted her head to stare at him when she shared that
information. The child would have a claim to Dunsany, but if he were hers,
then it would be her will that
Tesarik One: would be done. At least, that was the plan. So, it seemed
keeping Ivy, and Runik in the good graces of the Black Knight would be a good
idea. "I didn't assume you were a fool, and yes, my assistance would cost
you." That was all she
Tesarik One: said about cost for now though. She may have been willing to
say more, but then he brought up undead dragons and she leaned forward at
that, and folded her hands across her knees. "Undead dragons? I am not
powerful enough yet to do
Tesarik One: this, I will not pretend that I am. But I will be able to do
so. They are difficult to keep under control, I could probably make one now
but I would never be able to control it. And, the last thing any of us want
is a rogue dragon
Tesarik One: of that sort... I would need, at that time though, the fresh
corpse of the dragon. For something of that sort, I would prefer freshly
dead."
scales change: Indeed such was information that Kythin did not expect to
come by much less be told freely. Ivy no doubt had reasons for gifting such
knowledge.. reasons meant to make the Knight keep his priorities in check.
The benefits of keeping
scales change: this vampire an ally in good standing were earning more and
more merit. " Very well we will discuss the costs and at your discretion
begin. However.. I do not wish to repeat my predacessors mistake. Acting
openly before we are ready
scales change: .. " His point would no doubt be an obvious one to her.. ,
yet Aaron Hexenthal had not considered it on his own. " I'll procur a dragon
in time.. perferably a willing one.. " Even dragons could fear a coming
demise.. especially one
scales change: of natural causes.. such as age.. something even such magical
beasts could not escape. " A pity I suspect Runik would not be pleased if I
sought to make you my Lieutenant. " Not that she would likely care to be
beneath him in rank.
scales change: -d
Tesarik One: "A willing one, that would definitely be a plus." She leaned
back again, settling in the chair comfortably though she did run her tongue
across her red lips, feeling the pang of hunger that rarely left her these
days. She merely
Tesarik One: nodded when he spoke of Hexenthal's mistake. "Some are in far
too much of a hurry, when things of this sort take time and patience." Ivy
smirked, though it grew into more of a smile before she spoke again, "You do
not worry of my
Tesarik One: relationship with Runik. I am not a Second Associate by chance
or for no reason. Let us say that the matters of Dunsany are my own special
assignment." She tapped her lips a moment. "The little Hexenthal child needs
a father figure,
Tesarik One: who better than the Black Knight of Dunsany?"
scales change: Whereas most would never seek out a wyrm ancient enough to be
be dying, Kythin had always been headstrong and respectful of those of
draconic blood.. true dragons and otherwise. Excluding those who fought
against their own nature.
scales change: Listening again to ivy's words.. it seemed she approved of
his consideration that their planning and actions needed to be done slowly. A
good first step in a budding.. political relationship. " Ah.. that's your game
then.. " Or rath-
scales change: er the line she chose to feed him. The information fed led to
the slowly removal of the ruby and adamantine bracer from his left fore arm
as he channeled the energy that always opened the marks of his stigmata.. the
sign of his serv
scales change: ice to many a dark god.. lovely fact that the bracer had
covered the brand that properly marked his divine allegiances was simply a
small benefit. Wisely though.. he ceased that channeling before more than a
droplet of that unholy
scales change: energy rich blood could flow.. even if the act did its damage
all the same. " Who better than a Warrior devoted to the Dark Gods? " After
all.. he was a knight only by Hexenthal decree.. his status as a Unholy
Warrior.. that was far
scales change: more reaching. -d
Tesarik One: He was a tease, then? She eyed the stigmata, something she was
familiar with even if she did not know all the types of them. She was up and
at his side in but a blink of an eye, sliding one arm around his waist and
the other cupping
Tesarik One: his elbow then sliding down towards his wrist in a light grip.
"None better." Unless he somehow stopped her, she pressed the curves of her
body against his side and brought his arm upwards, then ran her tongue along
the length of
Tesarik One: the stigmata, before settling her lips where that drop had
appeared and giving a gentle suck. She was not a new vampire, she had learned
to control her desires in most cases, and he would not find her being
anything but gentle and
Tesarik One: even sensual as she attempted to gain a taste of the unholy
blood from the man.
scales change: Learning how far she could be manipulated through the desire
and need or blood was something that had to happen. Even in the process of
that led to touch of digits then tongue that followed told enough. It did not
come with animalis
scales change: tic hunger.. something he had expected after watching the
aftermath of a Hexenthal feast. This proved a far more pleasant sight to be
subjected to.. even if he was on the receiving end of that bite. How well one
of her kind might fe
scales change: ed of the unholy ichor was unknown to him.. as never had he
thought to reveal it to Aaron. At the expense of himself he chose to
experiment.. letting the blood flow. The stigmata proved something of a
blessing in such a situation..
scales change: much as it did with his painting.. no need to slice or bite
the flesh to get the blood flowing. " .. I always did wonder what effects
this stigmata blood of mine would have on one such as you.. " Cause he'd go
silent after that..
scales change: just in case there was need to pry her off forcefully. -d
scales change: Course*
Tesarik One: She didn't bite him, merely sucking that drop he'd already
offered and savoring it, then she lifted her lips from his arm and released
it, now sliding her free hand around his waist along the front of him. She
rested her chin upon
Tesarik One: his shoulder as she closed her eyes, and whispered softly, "We
will see then, won't we? You certainly taste better than the riff raff I've
found. Though, one little drop, it may not do much of anything except make me
want more." She
Tesarik One: grinned, and slid her hand up along his side, feeling gently
for any weapons and bypassing any that were noticeably worn on him, then her
hand slid across to dance along his stomach then up to his chest. "What do
you think it will
Tesarik One: do to me? Drive me mad wanting it, and you? If you could only
be so lucky." She laughed softly, then released him. She wasn't the most
alluring of women, though she tried! Something about that grave stench upon
her from her black
Tesarik One: magery, despite any gentle demeanor she might show, it still
turned people off of her so while she was in complete control, she was more
used to forcing her hand in some way through vampiric command, or merely a
quick snap of the
Tesarik One: head giving her a fine feast until it went cold.
scales change: Unholy from faith far more exquisite than some mere human
peasant due to the draconic heritage.. he arrogance even over the matter of
the crimson ichor from his veins. " Entertaining as that might be Ivy, I
suspect you are in far
scales change: too much control of yourself to allow it were it even a
possiblity. " Nor was he fond of the idea of that grave stench marring his
sheets. " The search for weapons would provide notice of the blunderbuss.. he
could not wear the axe
scales change: and its accompanying shortsword at all times after all. A
shapeshift and claw-work usually served if he had time to notice an assualt
coming in weaponless situations. Having Ivy this close was both pleasant..
and not.. certainly the
scales change: Runik operative who had recruited him was a much more
alluring creature. " Well my new ally.. I am not opposed to feeding you, I am
aware it would be expected.. after all I must act as a good host. " It was
either his blood or none
scales change: unless he went out of his way to start securing a ready meal
for her. It seemed so bothersome.. " Long as you are here on your own
business.. you may as well remain for a time. " Why bother showing her
around.. she had said for hers
scales change: elf she'd explored the place in the years before Aaron's
revival. Whether by decades or centuries. -d
scales change: Course.. Kythin still possessed a curiousity of just what she
was planning with that Hexenthal boy.. " If you're charged with the boy.. I
find myself wondering.. what has become of Magdelana? " Last he knew she'd
been under Maria's
scales change: care.-d
Tesarik One: She grinned, and pulled away from him and wiped her lips with
the back of her head. "So I am." She folded her hands behind her back and
stood there watching him a moment, listening to him, and giving a little nod.
"You should act as
Tesarik One: a good host, indeed, but I am quite capable of finding my own
dinner. Though, I would not turn away the opportunity to imbibe more of your
delicious blood if it was offered. But, I will not fill myself with your
blood as my needs
Tesarik One: are a fair bit more than normal of my kind need. Blood is
power, after all, and power is in the blood." She lifted a brow when he asked
about Magdelana. "For now, I watch her and the child from a distance. I am
far from a guardian
Tesarik One: angel but that seems to be my calling for now. When he is old
enough, we will perchance meet upon the street and I will begin teaching him
things as a secret friend. When he grows to his teens, then I will be sure
that he is
Tesarik One: besotten with me. When he reaches his early twenties, he will
willingly allow me to enlighten him. But for now.... for now Magdelana
watches over the small child, and I watch from afar. She has a home outside
of Navahla."
Tesarik One: Probably provided to her from Maria no doubt!
scales change: By all appearances it appeared they had a little trust
instilled through the manner by which they were working together. Betraying
the other in a means that did not immediately result in their death would
earn retribution eventually
scales change: and she was far more prepared for such than his resources
would allow him to be. Which made the information she provided only useful as
a means know where they stood and what the other was doing in the longterm.
It was all quite
scales change: interesting. " I do hope to find our relationship a
prosperous one. " If nothing else she'd come to learn that despite the
betrayal that led him to where he was now.. Kythin was a loyal man even if
the laws were his to abuse ..espec
scales change: ially if his kingdom could be secured at Kullyr's expense. "
I imagine the castle has not changed enough that you can not find your way
around.. if you will excuse me.. I have a old wyrm to chat up. " Dragon..
wyrmtooth ring.. not
scales change: much of a difference. -d
Tesarik One: Indeed, trust was something that even the foulest and darkest
of hearts could sometimes find with another. "As do I. Off you go then." She
bowed slightly to him with a grin and a wink, and then spun about on her high
heels and
Tesarik One: disipated into a dark mist that twisted itself up from the
floor, then shot out of the room to go and locate a suitable place for her to
rest when rest was necessary.
scales change: No matter how great the Black Knight of Dunsany's desire to

Tesarik One: glanced around, looking at any of the changes that had been
made upon the area since last she'd been here - yes, she'd been to this place

Tesarik One: upon her lips. Her eyes fell back upon the Knight of Dunsany.
"And how long will you continue to serve the Heart, while carving out a place

answer would be
scales change: telling, unless Maria had finally determined his place as a
double agent.. he considered her with respect.. and a level of wariness..
that redhead had earned it.
