There is one sun which looks and behaves almost exactly like our own. The sun is called Bright Eye.

There are three moons, the dark red-hued Vermill and the smaller, dark gray-blue-hued Rrok and the larger light grey primary moon,Lunne. These behave exactly like our own moon, except that they follow separate, non-colliding orbits. When they are seen overlapping even partially it is considered to be an omen of mischief or wrongdoing.

Since Lunne is our primary moon and it is the largest and brightest, it governs the power of the moon upon our world. Rrok provides light at night, and affects the tides to some extent as does Vermill.

Blood Moon: A blood moon occurs when there is a lunar eclipse during the new moon phase, causing the moon to appear reddish in hue. While beautiful, it actually decreases the moon's influence in the world. It is more difficult to cast enchantments, illusions, divinations and transmutation spells whether or not the blood moon is shining on the caster or not.

Blue Moon: A blue moon is the second full moon in a month, though the moon is not actually blue. During a blue moon, lycanthropes gain a boost in power when in hybrid form, but only under the light of a blue moon.

Triple Eclipse: A very rare event when all three moons are in alignment. The last time this happened was in June 2014.

Triple Full: A rare event where all three moons find themselves at their fullest at the same time.  The last time this is known to have happened is December 2016.  It caused extreme weather, madness and magical mishaps all over the world where none were unaffected.  

The Far Wanderer: Every 250 years or so, a comet called the Far Wanderer crosses the night sky. It’s arrival appears haphazardly, so astrologers never know which sign it will appear in, because it could appear at any time of any year, so long as it’s about 250 yrs since the last time it appeared. The comet is said to represent salvation and is seen as a symbol of the watchful eyes of the primal gods. The comet was first documented by an elven astronomer and mage named Systelian 3000 years ago, though he allegedly had reports he’d gained from divinations of previous arrivals of the comet in prior centuries.

Lunar Conjunctions

During a lunar conjunction, many things happen:
• lycanthropes revert to their normal (animal) form for the entire conjunction.
• all lunar spells are empowered for the duration of the conjunction (no fails)
• all those within the light of the conjunction suffer "madness/confusion" for the duration of the event, no save against it.
• sometimes rare events such as a portal opening, a castle or town appears or a dark beast awakens during certain conjunctions.

The years are categorized into eras, which are reckoned by momentous events rather than any mathematical formula. The common notation for a date is to specify the day of the month followed by the month, followed by the era and then the year, such as:

Look up in the skies over Arith and not only do you find the three moons, but you'll find a myriad of constellations among the twinkling starlight that dots the canopy of darkness above our heads. The moon, the sun, the stars are all important aspects of life within our world. With the discovery of the "Astrological Signs of Arith" scroll, our eyes were fully opened to the world above us and now it's secrets are offered to each of you. Hopefully your perusal in this tome will help you understand a little of the astrological aspects of life, magic, and the world around you.

There are two levels to the following information.

1) You may choose to merely register your character's birthday, and gain the boosts and bonuses that come from being born under that sun/moon and starsign.

MINOR CONSTELLATIONS

The Northern Eye
These 13 bright stars look like a circle (outer 8) with a pupil (inner 5). The top and brightest star, Almaris, is always in the North and useful for navigation. This constellation is sometimes called the "13 Baleful Stars", though the reasoning has been lost to history.

The Emptiness
There are no stars in this portion of the sky. Those with looking glasses describe what appear to be great holes of blackness in this region of the sky. Astrologers are mixed on how to interpret this constellation, though, and have debated it for centuries. Some think it bodes ill, representing shadow magic and death. Others see it as a clean slate, a new birth (making it popular among some daeva astrologers). Others see it as the quiet emptiness that monks seek to attain in that one moment of perfect unity with existence. Still others say that there once was a constellation here, but it disappeared ages ago. These debates are limited to scholars, though, as most commoners just don’t realize that they’re missing anything when they look to this part of the sky.

The Mercury Dragon
This constellation has a very odd attribute: it doesn’t stay in the same place. While its 15 stars always form the same dragon-like framework, it has appeared in different night skies in completely different locations, sometimes next to the Emptiness, sometimes weaving down the Forking Path, sometimes conversing with the Unicorn, sometimes not at all, etc. Try as they might, astrologers have not been able to find any logic or reason to the places it shows up. It was a necronian philosopher who named the constellation after the Mercury Dragons, famous for their capricious and quick-to-change mindsets, and the name stuck.

Bethsara's Belt
A string of five stars in the northeasten sky over Kir'viir. It is one of the oldest named constellations on Arith. It is named for the legend of the first human female, Bethsara, to have fallen in love with a dragon. The halflings add in two nearby stars and call it "The Pipe". A new elven legend has named the stars, "Lunne's Tears", saying that the Tears glowed ice-blue during the Scarring of Kir'viir.

Galleon Nebula
This nebula looks very much like a large, multi-colored galleon ship. Its sails appear to blow in a celestial wind that does not exist. With mariner spyglasses, the oars on the sides of the ship can be seen rowing in their never-ending task. The nebulosity is two million miles long and high, and well over 100,000 miles wide. It is visible primarily during the autumn and early winter. The Galleon Nebula sails around the heavens in a very slow orbit. It takes nearly 4,000 months for it to make a complete revolution around the celestial heavens. This nebula and the Rainbow Nebula are never seen together in the same sky. They orbit around the sun in the same orbit, within that same orbital period, but they are at opposite positions in that orbit.

Rainbow Nebula
This nebulosity looks very much like the effects of a color spray spell. It is a fan-shaped object that is seen primarily during the spring and early summer. It is approximately two million miles long, with a width of one million miles at one end, and 100 feet at the other. The worshipers of Xuld believe this to be a sign from their god that their use of the magic that he awards them pleases him. The followers of the void believe that the nebula is the wrath of the void, spreading its way across the heavens. They believe that everything within its destructive path is utterly annihilated.

The Serpent
The name of this serpent-shaped constellation is ancient, so ancient that only a few sages and astronomers know its' origins or meaning, and most simply call it The Serpent. The constellation was named by the inhabitants of ancient Mitani on Mythily. In their legends, the serpent was a huge, evil serpent that would one day descend from the skies at the end of the world to devour the sun. In Thanes, the Serpent is looked upon favorably by thieves, assassins, mages, and others who practice their black arts by night.

Within each path, there are (optional) Archetypes that you may take for flavor. Whether or not you take an Archetype, depending on the path that you follow, you are allowed to take on certain abilities from that area of expertise or from the general list of abilities. Once you choose a path, you may choose one ability to go with your path. At Ruby, choose another in your path. At Obsidian, choose one more in your path. At Diamond, choose your last ability in your path.

Path of the Sun
Prerequisites: You must have been born under the sun.

Archetypes
•Illuminated Monk: Often cloistering themselves away, and spending time in meditation, and honing intellect, wit and body, they serve as archive keepers in libraries and teachers in schools and universities. Just as the sun personifies reason and wisdom, the illuminated monk studies all varieties of lore and passes that knowledge on to others.

•Paladin of Light: While the paladin usually focuses his holy crusades against the forces of evil, some paladins find themselves drawn into a battle between darkness and light. Where there are certain similarities with darkness and evil, the paladin of light sees darkness as a force that transcends the evil of mortals and encompasses loss, suffering, and woe. The paladin of light worships a solar deity, and usually chooses to wear a cloak trimmed of gold, emblazoned with a sun.

•Burnt Acolyte: One fateful morning, you felt as though the sun was beating down upon your back from the moment the sun rose to the time the sun set, and carried with you all the symptoms of walking through a burning desert without water. Then that night you found burn marks all along your body that set in as permanent markings, declaring you an acolyte of the sun. Whenever you engage others in battle, the heat radiates off of your skin, allowing others to feel the burn of the sun that you have now become accustomed to.

•Scion of Zumyan - The god of fire is the reason for your power and he was within the heavens when you were born. Embracing his warmth and his knowledge you have become aware of the many fortunes and follies of his power, and have learned that his entity can give life and can also take away life. Your ability to use these extreme powers is as easy to you as it is for those to cast a thought. Always touched by Zumyan, you feel as if you always are running a fever.

•Chosen of Thyshi - Those dedicated to the Thyshi, god of desert and stars, are few though they find that within the god's embrace rest a great power waiting to be harnessed. The ones selected to receive his blessing must endure what is called the Trials of the Burning Sands before they are marked with a celtic sun that is burned to their flesh by the hand of Thyshi himself.

Abilities

Detect Night Creature (sun): You can sense night creatures. A night creature is defined as any evil outsider undead, or creature that is hindered or vulnerable in sunlight such as a vampire.

Heat Exhaustion (sun): A follower of the sun has the unique ability to channel through themselves the heat of the sun and direct it at any one chosen opponent. This causes the target to become overtaken by heat exhaustion, for one full combat they must take -1 to every roll they make. This can be used once per day.

Mirage: (sun) By harnessing the power of the sun's heat a follower of the sun is able to bend light around themselves making it difficult to tell what is truly there and what is illusion. This causes one attack made against the astrologist per day to fumble as they strike out where their is nothing, evading damage.

Soulburn (sun): Once per combat, in an adrenaline rush, your spirit runs through your opponent causing 1d5 undefendable damage to your opponent's body, which cannot be self-healed. If the battle is done in the daytime, the damage is 1d8 (this does not work on those who are immune to fire. ex: fire elementals). This damage is automatic, no other rolls needed including strike, but it is considered your full attack and takes up your turn. You may not do anything else with this skill, including no roll of combat dice, no added bonuses to damage, etc. 1d5 is the full damage you do on your turn.

Sunlight (sun): When cast upon an object, this spell channels the light of the noonday sun. The target object carries an intense brightness about it so pure and powerful it's treated as natural sunlight. It sheds light of day for a 60 foot radius, and dim light for an additional 60 feet beyond that. "Sunlight" brought into an area of magical darkness dispels the magical darkness if the astrologer is the same or higher gemstone than the creator of the darkness.

Wall of Light (sun): An aura of flames appears around your body and you gain +3 DEF against fire damage . If the battle is fought during the day you receive +5 defense. This can be used once per day.

Energy Surge: (sun) The power of the sun exists at all times, for without it not even the moon could be seen. By drawing upon the massive energies that the warmth of the sun represents the follower of this path will be filled with the fury of its fire, gaining once per combat an extra 1d roll of their combat dice.

Strength of the Sun: (sun) This spell allows the follower of the sun to double the effects of their Sun Bonus once per 24 hours. Can only be used during the daylight hours.

Vengeance of Noon: Your can manifest the terrible fury of the sun's power, regardless of your weapon of choice. Weapon, tech, magic, 'vocation all are considered either "gold" or "fire" (your choice) as long as it is daylight.

Path of the Moon
Prerequisites: You must have been born under the moon.

Archetypes
•Moon Warden: Moon wardens are usually rangers who have an affinity for the moon, choosing to hunt and work in the night rather than the daylight. They tend to have wolf companions, and mark their territory by carving small crescent moons into trees, rocks, and even buildings if they are urban rangers.

•Moonlit Dancer: From dancing under the light of the full moon, you have become enlightened to a deity of the moon (your choice), and know the secrets of the night and darkness and have become adept to living a night life where your powers lie in revealing truths about others.

•Diviner of Lunne: You've long been an admirer of the moon, namely Lunne, and the night has always attracted you. You are a night owl by lifestyle and have either been self-proclaimed into the following of Lunne or was blessed/baptized in the name of Lunne.  Mostly good-aligned moon path astrologers become this archetype.

•Pathfinder of Rrok:  Blessed at birth or by choice of following, you found the path of Rrok in the dark side of his mother's larger entity. You are tuned to Rrok and to the hidden path of night which he shadows along his mother's light. You know well he has power of his own despite being overcast by Lunne. This is a neutral archetype.

• Seeker of Vermill: Vermill has called to you since you were a child, and you have answered his call. You use the night to hide the devious things you do in the name of Vermill. This is an evil archetype.

Abilities:

Change of Tides: (moon) This  allows the follower to create a shell of power around an area, enchanting it as if it were actually the full moon, regardless of the moon cycle. Within this shell of moonlit power, everyone is healed fully, once per adventure.

Moonblade: (moon) Followers of the moon have the ability to channel the moon's light and bring it to take shape in the form of a semisolid blade. This weapon appears as a longsword, is wielded in one hand, and may be enchanted as a normal longsword. It may only be used at night, when the moon is visible. The wielder may decide what trait to use with this blade, whether INT for magic, or STR or QCK (Dex Fighter) for it being a weapon. If you dual wield, the trait for both weapons is decided by the main weapon. In other words, you cannot use STR for dmg for one, and INT for damage for the other. The blade deals 1d6 points of damage upon creation, but the damage increases with your rank. This is an innate skill.

Moonbridge (moon): This ability transforms a shaft of moonlight into a translucent but stable bridge.  The 10-foot-wide span touches the ground at a point adjacent to you. It can extend from this point in any direction for 10 feet per gemstone level. The path persists until you have crossed over the bridge or for 24 hours, whichever is shorter.

Moonshards (moon): This spell sheds pieces from the moon to impact around your opponent, causing an extra 2d5 damage to them, once per combat.

Sonata of Screams (moon): A spell that forces the moon to grow full with an aura of light, and every howl or call of a night creature affected by the full moon comes to the ears of your opponent, causing them mental disorientation. Your opponent cannot cast or use magical/psionic abilities for two full rounds. If your opponent is a registered Master Astrologist, they receive a saving throw, DC15, to prevent Sonata of Screams from being used on them.

Skin of the Moon: During the nighttime, you gain magical defense of +5 throughout the combat.

Strength of the Moon: (moon) This spell allows the follower of the moon to double the effects of their Moon Bonus once per 24 hours. Can only be used during the hours of night, when the moon is visible.

Silvery Moon: (moon) Whatever weapon you wield, or magic you use including techs and 'vocations are always counted as "silver" or "cold" (your choice) as long as it is nighttime.

The Waking Moon: (moon) The moon controls many things in life, with this spell a follower of this path may draw upon the moon's touch to heal any disease and illness in himself, once per day.

Path of the Stars
Prerequisites: You must have your birthday registered.

Archetypes
•Doomed: You scorned the warnings of your elders, mocked their cautions, and dared to peer into the one place every devotee of the stars must never look. Delving into forbidden lore, you cast your own chart, intent upon finding the answer to the only question you thought important: your own death. Now that you know the secret of your own death, you have a gloom about you, like a shroud, making your food task like ash and every moment of joy like a cruel joke. Helpless to prevent your destiny, you feel like a puppet to fate, unable to even share your circumstances of doom with others you shuffle through life waiting for the inevitable.

•Tattooed Ritualist: Perhaps due to some secret ritual you once performed, or a mystical birthmark, your wrath sometimes takes on tangible form. When engulfed with fury, the 12 symbols of the zodiac appear on your face, as if lit by the fires of heaven themselves. These strange tattoos even seem to move on their own, making a promenade across your features in keeping with the shifts of the stars. Those who meet your fury head on often pause at the might of your eldritch lore.

•Child of the Universe: From a dream that came to you while you rested or meditated, you were shown a door within the universe which when you opened it, knowledge of the universe had become buried within your subconscious, and slowly through growth and advancement of being an Astrologist, you learned things about the universe that has yet to be discovered, and learned of how the energy of the universe affects every moment of your life. You seek meaning in the pattern of the stars across the night sky, the trails of comets, and the eternal orbits of the planets.

•Prodigy of Astra Windsong : The goddess of the stars and wind, and responsible for the spewing of the stars and heavens cast over the various planets of the universe, making life possible within the void of her domain that is space. Your part in her guidance is becoming one with the knowledge of the creation of the universe and how each star, black hole, planet and universal body work in Natural Law. Sailors often choose this archetype, and become skilled at navigation using the stars. Prodigy of Astra Windsong are marked with a star upon the forehead, like their goddess.

•Pledged to the Stars: Chosen at birth, separated from kith and kin, some quirk of your horoscope forever robbed you of any hope for a normal life. They said your destiny was to rule, to speak with the authority of the deities themselves. You devoted yourself to mastering the skills your tutors demanded. Versed in lore and the weaving of magic, you prepared yourself for a life of service, never questioning what happened to those older students who graduated before you one by one. Only when your time came - when you learned your destiny meant speaking to the deities directly, sent into the afterlife by knife and fire - did you rebel. This bitter lesson, betrayed by the teachers, you learned to never again surrender your will to those who claim to speak for the deities.

•Stargazers: Stargazers have added incentive to embark upon adventures, particularly those involving travel to distant lands: They watch the stars for hints of invasion of extraplanar powers - as prophesied by earlier master astrologers - and ready themselves to act as the front line of defense when the invasion comes. Members of the Stargazers expend great amounts of energy to share information with one another. Those who belong to the Stargazers can easily acquire star charts, astrolabes, abaci, and other instruments of measurement. Most stargazers are druids or clerics of deities interested in defense, knowledge, or the stars.

Abilities:

Dying Star: (stars) As any follower of this path knows the death of star is one that is both destructive and infusing - both creating and destroying in but a breath of the universe. By channeling the energy of the heavens they may produce in themselves the power and rage of one who has seen such, allowing them to roll an extra 1d of their combat dice, once per combat.

Guiding Star (star): This spell calls an insubstantial amount of starlight, which descends from the sky and orbits around your head. It sheds light equal to a candle and can be commanded to lead you to any place you've previously visited. Once ordered to find a location, the star stops orbiting and points like a compass in the direction of the location named. It hovers inches from you as you go in that direction, it cannot make adjustments for barriers in the way.

Insight of the Stars: (stars) The illumination of the stars has guided more than one through the path of life simply by giving them a touch of intuition that they would otherwise lack. A follower of the stars can draw upon this knowledge to gain insight into his opponent(s) next moves, granting him the ability to act before his opponent(s). This allows the astrologer to be placed first on the scoreboard, once per day.

Pentacle Barrier (star): This ability is used to conjure five stars to rotate around your body in star formation, protecting for five rounds in any one combat. Each star is +2 defense and with every round, one loses a star. So your defense from the beginning of this spell being cast is +10 and drops by +2 every round. This defense can go above your normal cap. You may use this once per day.

Shooting Star (star): This spell calls down star motes from the sky to strike up to two opponents. When this spell is cast, one or more burning rocks fall from the sky, striking your two chosen opponents and doing 1d5 undefendable damage to each, at nighttime the damage is 1d8. This damage is automatic, no other rolls needed including strike, but it is considered your full attack and takes up your turn. You may not do anything else with this skill, including no roll of combat dice, no added bonuses to damage, etc. 1d5 is the full damage you do on your turn.

Starform (star): The astrologist, having come into an adrenaline rush has now changed physical form. Their body now becomes an outline of stars much like a constellation would look if drawn in the sky. In this form they are unable to be attacked physically for one round. Attacks that can strike ethereal creatures still hit the astrologer. You may use this once per day.

Star of Peace (star): The stargazer has spent so much time staring into the heavens that their eyes have taken on some of the peaceful light that exists above. With a look and a few soft spoken words those that follow the stars have the ability to soothe the enraged, bring peace to the hurting or even quiet a restless child. Target of this spell gets a willpower save, DC15 against the effects, where logical.

Starlight Eyes: (stars) This spell allows the follower of the stars to simple close their eyes and literally look down on or see anywhere that there are stars shining down upon the earth. It can only be used at night, and only useful in outside areas (cannot allow you to look inside a building or underground).

Strength of the Stars: (stars) This spell allows the follower of the stars to double the effects of their Star/Sign Bonus once per 24 hours. Can only be used during the hours of night, when the stars are visible (meaning outdoors, cannot be used indoors).

Path of the Void
Prerequisites: You must have your birthday registered.

Archetypes
•Black Empath: When a star dies, the body and light of the star implodes in on itself and becomes a black hole that pulls in all light and energy and drowns it into itself, never to be known where its existence is. You having felt such a death, become sympathetic to the nature of a dying star and come into the power of the black hole and have the ability to counterbalance the many energies of the universe by removing or voiding other magically adept people of their power.

•Dark Prophet: Not all that have the ability to read the stars and foretell the future are pleased with their gift. Those who come to be known as a dark prophet are able to see into the darkness that lays ahead in one's path or lays within them. Unfortunately for them, wanting or not, they always see it. Whenever the Dark Prophet performs a reading (or sometimes even without doing such) they see any one negative event in waiting of the person's future or see something tragic of the players past. (It is highly suggested that both the prophet mun and the target mun work together during this.)

•Chosen of Kanesh: You have been marked by Kanesh in some way, whether blinded, or given darksight, or marked with shadowy runes, she has claimed you and grants you boons. You crave the darkness, it does not frighten you for you know she watches you from every shadow, guiding your life. The darkness has permeated your existence so deeply, that you bleed black blood.

•Void Mage: A powerful spell caster whose soul has been irreparably touched by the void. The spell caster seeking greater power now seeks only the chaos of survival of the fittest and wishes for a peaceful balance at the same time. They never back down from a challenge and refuse to lose even if that means dying to win.Whatever alignment you started with, becomes chaotic if it is not already. So someone Neutral Good would become Chaotic Good.

•Nihilist: Nihilists focus on the true apathetic vastness of space and time, frequently pointing out that life and joy are rare exceptions. This does not mean the oracle is necessarily evil, but the uniquely grim and accurate viewpoint on death and entropy might wear on smaller minded companions. Nihilists understand that everything in the world contains all the basic elements, held together by the least tangible essence. Void is like the silence between notes of music, giving rhythm and shape to the whole. To those who understand the relationship of Void to all other things, and who have the innate ability to personally perceive that relationship, distance and form become inconsequential.

•Night Readers: The Night Readers watch the heavens looking for signs of the end times. Short of the destruction of the entire multiverse, the Readers look to the stars for upcoming events that further the cause of destruction and entropy. Many who know of the Readers claim they destroy at random and later blame their acts on the "will of the stars."

Abilities

Dark Curse (void): So long as the follower of void knows the star sign of their target (must be obtained through RP) they have the ability to bestow upon them a single folly (see chart). The folly lasts for 7 days unless it is broken. It can only be broken only by another Master Astrologist or by the Master Astrologist which cast it, through roleplaying the curse breaking. If your opponent is a registered Master Astrologist, they receive a willpower saving throw DC15 against obtaining the curse.

Darkness: (void) Just as the moon can provide light, it can also subject all to the darkness. When this spell is used the entire area is cast in a complete darkness that the target is unable to see through (rendering them blind) and in such is unable to attack for 1 round of combat unless the target possesses an ability that allows them to blindfight.

Black Hole: (void) This wells a small "black hole" around the follower of the void, giving them limited amount of protection against attacks - providing them with a +5 defense throughout combat, which can go over any defense caps. May be used once per day.

Curse of Fate: (void)  A follower of the void is a fierce opponent. Not because of their physical strength but rather the power within their connection to the void itself. This spell allows the follower to render an opponent forgotten of their strength, causing them to use 1d of their combat dice for the next round of combat. May be used once per day.

Harmonic Void: (void) Jarring, discordant noises fill the area, making it difficult for others to concentrate. You create a zone of disruptive, chaotic arcane harmonies that interfere with any type of spells (devout, arcane or psionic) causing only you to be able to cast spells for one full round, unless any of your targets are Master Astrologers. Master Astrologers get a willpower save of DC15 to resist this power.

Mist of Nothing: (void) This spell allows the follower of the void to "disappear into nothing", their form turning into an insubstantial mist that seemed to evaporate, allowing them to remain unseen for 5 minutes per gemstone rank or if in combat, to evade one incoming attack once per combat.

Strength of the Void: (void) This spell allows the follower of the void to double the effects of their Sun or Moon Bonus once per 24 hours. Sun bonuses can only be doubled during daylight hours, moon bonuses can only be doubled during nighttime hours. During the 24 hours of Lunne's New Moon each month, you may use your doubled boost three times in that 24 hour period.

Wheel of Misfortune (void): This is used as a counterbalance to Wheel of Fortune. When used upon an opponent, have them roll 1d12. Refer to the Zodiac Chart for the number taken. Whatever positive effect was implemented, they now suffer the negative of that effect for one full combat.

Vacuum Vortex (void): The might of the universe is that no living soul can physically travel it with their body surviving. The astrologist can pull the vacuumed effect of space through the atmosphere in the shape of a vortex around an opponent. Suffocation immediately sets in for those who need air, and levitation occurs due to the lack of gravity in this state, causing an extra 1d of the combat dice of the Astrologist. Once per combat.

All-Path Abilities

Astral Travel: You are able to step into the planar border where the Astral Plane meets the Material Plane, pulling up to one additional person per gemstone rank with you. You can't travel fully into the Astral Plane or any of the other planes it borders, but while using this ability you can cover incredible distances, traversing 50 miles per hour, much like shadow walking. You can travel for up to 1 hour per day per gemstone level. This duration need not be continuous, but it must be spent in 1-hour increments.

Astronomy: This skill is used for the observation, calculation, and interpretation of the positions, dimensions and overall movement of celestial bodies such as the moon, stars, planets and astronomical phenomena by rolling 1d20. Use the categories below as guidelines for determining the type of information known by the character.
Roll 01-10: Determine current latitude within +/-10 degrees. (easy)
Roll 11-15: Calculate the specific time of day or night within 1/2 hour. (basic)
Roll 16-20: Calculate the time until the next solar, lunar, or planetary conjunction without access to astronomical equipment. (really tough)

Lure of the Heavens: Your connection to the skies above is so strong that your feet barely touch the ground. When you take this ability, you no longer leave tracks. At Ruby, you can hover up to 6 inches above the ground or even above liquid surfaces, as if levitating. At Obsidian, you gain the ability to fly, for 10 minutes per gemstone level per day.

Starborn Luck: The personality and temperament of your sign exerts a great influence upon your destiny, giving you spectacular luck when performing certain actions. For any one roll you make in a given save, check or combat roll, you may reroll. You must take the result of your second roll even if it's worse than the first. Once per day.

Synergy: You are able to cast one automatically successful horoscope per 24 hours. You may forego the roll for success/failure by stating the use of Synergy.

Summon Astrological Creature: You may summon the creature that corresponds to your astrological sign. When summoning this creature, use the following chart:
Crystal and Topaz: 1 round, 2d50, 25hp, DEF DC10, Strike +0, 1d3 Attack
Amber: 2 rounds, 2d60, 30hp, DEF DC11, Strike +1, 1d4 Attack
Sapphire: 3 rounds, 2d68, 34hp, DEF DC12, Strike +2, 1d6 Attack
Emerald: 4 rounds, 2d70, 35hp, DEF DC13, Strike +3, 1d8 Attack
Ruby: 5 rounds, 2d75, 37hp, DEF DC14, Strike +4, 2d6 Attack
Obsidian: Full Combat, 2d80, 40hp, DEF DC15, Strike +5, 2d8 Attack

The Stars are Right: Once per day you are able to force the stars to appear to realign themselves temporarily for your benefit. This allows any one spell, skill or CM that you cast within combat or outside of combat that calls for a roll for success to automatically be successful.

Wheel of Fortune: The astrologist summons from the skies the twelve constellations representing each of the creatures of the Zodiac, and rolls 1d12. With the number landed upon, the Astrologist receives a certain ability granted by the creature that became summoned and use their ability for the remainder of the combat (see zodiac chart below).

Sign of Fortune: Same basic principle as Wheel of Fortune, only that the astrologist may summon the creature of their starsign for the exact ability listed below to use for the remainder of the combat (see zodiac chart below).

Zodiac Chart-
1 - The Beholder - Heightened Premonition - +3 magical/mundane defense.
2 - The Harpy - Heightened Maneuverability - +1 to your DDC for this combat.
3 - The Ettin - Heightened Adrenaline - 1d5 atk every round.
4 - The Dryad - Heightened Regeneration - 5 HP regenerated at the end of each round.
5 - The Stirge - Heightened Will - +2 to any willpower based rolls during combat.
6 - The Wyvern - Heightened Resistance - +2 to any endurance based rolls during combat.
7 - The Dragon - Heightened  Tactics - +2 to your CM DC.
8 - The Unicorn - Heightened Magic - +2 to your magical spell DC.
9 - The Hydra - Heightened Aura - +1 to Strike for this combat.
10 - The Chimera - Heightened Flame  - You suffer no damage from fire-based attacks, but take +5 damage from water/cold-based attacks.
11 - The Kraken - Heightened Freeze - You suffer no damage from water/cold-based attacks, but take +5 damage from fire-based attacks.
12 - The Basilisk - Heightened Threshold - Your HP is raised by 5 for this combat.
