A Cairn of Rage: -= 3/23/2013 10:43:35 PM =-
A Cairn of Rage: Well I was really hoping for a better turn out, as tonight like I mentioned was going to be something a little different. Now the first thing I am going to say, is that I believe that I speak for all
A Cairn of Rage: the Moderators when I say that we have a very skilled writing group. all of the characters have depth, detail, story, and all those things we seek to read about in a story or role play. Now tonight I
A Cairn of Rage: have decided that I want to take the time we have, and get some things sorted. Get some things answered. Let you in on some things coming down the line. Basically, for the first time, we are going to
A Cairn of Rage: throw a little "All Hands" (or really those that came tonight) meeting. We'll touch on a little of everything. Basically from my viewpoint, I want to let you know of the storylines coming down (here
A Cairn of Rage: in the next week) that will involve all of us. As well as hearing about things you WANT to have come.
A Cairn of Rage: Basically, this is like one big Q&A and Planning thing all rolled into one. And yes, you will be paid as if you went on an Adventure. Your thoughts and the like matter.
A Cairn of Rage: We will start with the most simple thing. Is there any rule that is not understood?
A Cairn of Rage: Or better yet....is there anything anyone WANTS to start
talking over first?
Mighty Gar thog: Yes. why don't we have one on one matches using all skills
and items? Healers seem excluded.
A Cairn of Rage: High Impact Spars allow all skills and items
Tesarik One: They don't allow healing of any kind.
Tesarik One: That's what he's talking about.
Mighty Gar thog: Not healing.
A Cairn of Rage: Very well. I misunderstood your question.
Mighty Gar thog: My char, in 2 turns, could heal himself of 32 hp.
A Cairn of Rage: So you want High Impacts to open up the healing abilities
as well, despite the fact it may lengthen the fight?
Mighty Gar thog: *42
Mighty Gar thog: Yes.
A Cairn of Rage: Now, keep in mind, while you heal, the other person is just
going to be slobber-knocking you around
Mighty Gar thog: Again, why are we stuck in one spot?
A Cairn of Rage: So the heal you do in round one, will be basically
immediately UNdone by your attacker
Tesarik One: It would lengthen the fight just like it does in quests, but it
would also allow healers to use their skills.
Mighty Gar thog: My char can fly up, heal then use his breath attack from
the air. only missles would hit him.
A Cairn of Rage: It may lengthen the fight, BUT not enough to matter.
A Cairn of Rage: As we will use Gar as an Example. He said 2 rounds he would
get 42 hp.
A Cairn of Rage: So in each round he gets 21 healed.
Mighty Gar thog: I think tactics would lengthen and change the balance.
A Cairn of Rage: I have seen characters that without roll rank dice have
already 12-20 dmg coming your way
A Cairn of Rage: Tactics would have been picking certain skills.
Mighty Gar thog: Acyually... its 28 in one, 14 in the other.
A Cairn of Rage: However you break it up
A Cairn of Rage: You heal. Your attacker...well....attacks
Mighty Gar thog: Flying is a tactic. avoiding handheld... using terrain.
Tesarik One: I agree that saying you can't use healing skills, but everyone
else gets to use their skills, is leaving that profession out.
Tesarik One: let's stay on one subject at a time, right?
A Cairn of Rage: Do Boxers/MMA fighters/or any other type of sparring
fighter run through the crowd?
Tesarik One: No, you stay in the ring.
A Cairn of Rage: They ahve an assigned fight, an assigned area
Lord Kissekatt: That would be much more entertaining to watch.
A Cairn of Rage: Agreed. Lol
Tesarik One: You get to use terrain in quests and missions.
Tesarik One: This is a ring arena fight.
A Cairn of Rage: However, in a quest, sure fly/run/hide/cower
A Cairn of Rage: In a spar, you have set yourself in the arena/ring.
Lord Kissekatt: I just pictured Wladimir Klitschko trying to hide behind
someone.
Lord Kissekatt: But yes, a spar seems to be a much more controlled setting.
A Cairn of Rage: I had Pacqiou (spelling I know)
Tesarik One: If a boxer jumped out of the ring just so his opponent couldn't
hit him, he'd be booed and probably auto-lose lol.
A Cairn of Rage: They get DQ-ed.
Lord Kissekatt: My issue with Pacquiao is that I could actually see him
hiding behind someone due to size, even if he is scary enough to not need to.
Mighty Gar thog: in every other rp group I've been in, a spar is 1 on 1. you
can fly, throw objects, its not a tiny area, but instead, a huge undefined
spot.
Lord Kissekatt: Klitschko is partially hill giant, I think. Anyway.
A Cairn of Rage: -Smirks-
DaemianBerazalle: It's one thing to use a skill, I recommend if you're
wanting to use tactics in a spar to heal, you pick up ways to make people
lose turns so you can do so effectively, otherwise you're just wasting your
time imo.
A Cairn of Rage: Dae hit it on the head
Tesarik One: Our rp group is not like any other group though. Everything
about us is different. We are a mix of d&d and d100. We aren't going to have
the same rules as every other rp group.
DaemianBerazalle: The thing about sparring, and I get where you're coming
from Gar, is that it's an unspoken terms kind of deal where you're going
toe-to-toe against a competitor. I have ways to make sure with Dae, for
instance, that certain attacks
Tesarik One: our one on one spars are in an arena, ring, area, etc. you go
into it knowing you are there to fight. it's for fighters. if your char isn't
a fighter there is no need to spar. Save your tactics and neat ways to use
the environment
DaemianBerazalle: shut down half of an opponents defensive abilities simply
because I can make them with a ranged attack, but to do so in a spar is kind
of . . . cheap, to me at least.
Tesarik One: for life and death fights in quests and missions.
A Cairn of Rage: [Let us not cut into one another, please]
DaemianBerazalle: I'm not trying to seem cutting, and I apologize if it came
out that way. I'm just trying to stress the point that the way most people
perceive a spar is face-to-face
Mighty Gar thog: Ah, 11. be back in under an hour.
A Cairn of Rage: No, no, no. It's all fine
Tesarik One: He meant cut our posts lol
A Cairn of Rage: Yeah post cutting my friend
A Cairn of Rage: But as it stands. Spars are just that one on one & toe to
toe
DaemianBerazalle: I'll be honest in saying I came here from Gor. Played
there for what seems like forever. When I hear spar, because of the time I
spent there, it's ingrained that ya just don't do/use certain things, lol.
DaemianBerazalle: And sorry about the interrupting posts, I got excited,
lol.
A Cairn of Rage: For the healing thing......do you all want to allow
healing?
Tesarik One: Yes.
Lord Kissekatt: It makes no difference to me.
DaemianBerazalle: I'm ok for it.
A Cairn of Rage: I can go either way on it as well
A Cairn of Rage: I know that if you take a second to heal, and I am sparring
you, I'm gonna jump all over you when you do and try to make it a wasted
effort
A Cairn of Rage: But since we have 1 yes, 2 whatevers, and an ok
A Cairn of Rage: I will bring in healing.
Tesarik One: That's fine. But, at least they get to use skills they chose. A
healer isn't going to normally win against a fighter anyway.
A Cairn of Rage: All kinds?
A Cairn of Rage: Kinds of healng that is
Tesarik One: Skills, profession bonus, and loot. Just like anyone else is
allowed.
Tesarik One: Only for high impact
A Cairn of Rage: To include self heal?
Lord Kissekatt: If someone wants to waste their money using potions in a
spar, I say go for it.
Tesarik One: Yes. That's a skill so yes.
DaemianBerazalle: I have a question about the disarm skill
A Cairn of Rage: Yes?
A Cairn of Rage: Is it what we spoke of before?
DaemianBerazalle: The effect keeps them from picking up that weapon for a
turn. What about drawing a different weapon so long as they have it on them?
A Cairn of Rage: Depends
Tesarik One: I'd say if it's listed on the profile as being worn, sure. It's
the same as choosing to drop your shield or sword and grabbing a different
weapon in a sheath.
A Cairn of Rage: If it is in a scabbard or sheath on their hip or back. Draw
and attack in one turn
Tesarik One: but if it's in your backpack...no
DaemianBerazalle: Ok, cool. Just want to know what to expect when using it.
A Cairn of Rage: Them to evade most likely
A Cairn of Rage: There will also be coming out with 2 different "Special
Attacks" for those of you (Andy) that like the Merciful and non-lethal stuff
A Cairn of Rage: One is simply "Non-Lethal Strike" which will half the total
damage of your attack, but turn it nonlethal
A Cairn of Rage: The other is "Grapple" which is, exactly what it sounds.
A Cairn of Rage: With that said, are there any other types that you all
would like to see. Keep in mind i will not add those that mirrorskills we
havce
A Cairn of Rage: Anything? Something? Nothing?
DaemianBerazalle: Not really coming up with anything. My head screams out
"What about assassinations!?" But, I dunno, have you guys tossed that topic
around yet?
A Cairn of Rage: One sec bud
A Cairn of Rage: As of now, we have not begun the talks of the AAs
A Cairn of Rage: Mainly because with them, comes a host of other issues that
ruin things for a game
A Cairn of Rage: So I, on my end at least, do not say they are OFF the
board, but they need to be really, really, really planned and figured
Nobilis Arcanus: Oh good lord I hated half the aa slips I got back in the
old forums >_
A Cairn of Rage: Oh bud, this IS the place to do that
A Cairn of Rage: I made tongith all about questions, answers, wants, and
giving a light on things to come
A Cairn of Rage: so please fire at will.
A Cairn of Rage: The same stands for any Kidnapping Atempts......but those
are closer to the works as the Bloodhound class seems to almost NEED them
Tesarik One: AA's were abused in the d100 days.
A Cairn of Rage: Lord they were
Nobilis Arcanus: Yeah they were alot of people were sending in for cons for
the most piss ass shit
Nobilis Arcanus: I remember someone getting pissed cause a person that wasnt
in a forum came and wanted an aa cause the char made a sim attack
DaemianBerazalle: Yeah, you guys mind if I start working on ideas for
presenting about AA's?
Tesarik One: Anyway, we are an adventuring group, not a land or forum, so
ti's different. We SHOULD be getting along together enough to work for each
other and our focus for AA's, or kidnappings and such should be on our NPC
bad guys
Tesarik One: not each other. That's my thoughts. This is totally different
than a forum in that regard. We are like a business.
A Cairn of Rage: I think that if we were to work them.....I would think a
safe way would be they are like Brawls are
A Cairn of Rage: More as a training excersize
Nobilis Arcanus: I might,..have a solution to that problem
A Cairn of Rage: Brawls are well inpromptu spars I guess.
Nobilis Arcanus: back in UV I had writen a small thing forthe assassin
charter to make it viable as an actual working class
A Cairn of Rage: And AA would be mock
Nobilis Arcanus: for quests as well
DaemianBerazalle: Personally? I don't want to ever do an AA on someone's
PC, but in Dae's personal background, he's spent most of his life as an
Assassin.
Tesarik One: Just keep in mind we aren't trying to recreate the old UV days,
as far as attempts go.
A Cairn of Rage: I think we are going to refrain on adding other classes for
now, we have quite a list
Tesarik One: Even if we never do official AA rules, if you develop
storylines where Dae goes to assassinate a chosen NPC you could just rp it
out like a story on the message board.
Tesarik One: This is a writing group after all, the dice just assist us at
times.
DaemianBerazalle: Yeah, that I can definitely do without any hitches.
Tesarik One: Cause honestly as far as writing goes...how much fun is it for
someone to go, and one shot kill the bad guy.
Onyx Dalliance: loads.
Lord Kissekatt: Depends on the bad guy.
Tesarik One: It may add to YOUR story but if you are on a quest, and someone
sneaks ahead and one shots the bad guy...what's the group going to do?
Nobilis Arcanus: Good point
A Cairn of Rage: Loot
Tesarik One: I'm talking about in a group setting as we are....
A Cairn of Rage: Pillage
A Cairn of Rage: Burn
Tesarik One: No.
Lord Kissekatt: Rejoice that they don't have to fight.
Lord Kissekatt: Oh wait.
Lord Kissekatt: This group loves fighting all the time.
A Cairn of Rage: They even like to fight with one another. -Chuckles-
Tesarik One: If someone is sending an assassin from the group to kill the
bad guy, then the quest is a moot point for the group.
Onyx Dalliance: kill the assassin
Lord Kissekatt: Hey, if Baldur can cooperate long enough to get a job done,
nobody else has a good excuse.
Tesarik One: Why would we kill our teammate?
A Cairn of Rage: Why wouldn;t we?
Nobilis Arcanus: Well Logen wants to off Baldur
A Cairn of Rage: Some people have tempers/issues/etc etc
Onyx Dalliance: like in cod
Tesarik One: Because they are part of our tea....
Tesarik One: team*
A Cairn of Rage: -Snorts-
A Cairn of Rage: Because they are paid by the same person makes them not a
team. but that is an IC issue
Nobilis Arcanus: LOL There has been a few in the past on teams my char would
kill
A Cairn of Rage: I agree with Pam on the AA thing.
Tesarik One: That isn't what we are discussing. We are saying that if
someone from the OH goes in first to assassinate the target, when the rest of
the group gets there they aren't going to attack the assassin THEY sent.
A Cairn of Rage: Personal SLs. Go for it.
A Cairn of Rage: MB stuff? Sure, knock your socks off.
A Cairn of Rage: BUT you don;t want them in a quest. Period. One for SL
reasons. and TWO....if YOU got them you know the bad guys got them and will
use them
Nobilis Arcanus: Very, very tru
Lord Kissekatt: That said, I think if two people want to have their
characters hack at each other until one of them never moves again on their
own time, I don't have a problem with it.
A Cairn of Rage: Because OH is known enough now, that you guys are known
Nobilis Arcanus: and badguys tend to use em a hell of alot more than the
"Good" guys
A Cairn of Rage: Rep is something that works in both ways
A Cairn of Rage: I agree with andy on his last comment
Lord Kissekatt: That's why we have bad guy son the good guy team!
A Cairn of Rage: *Andy
Lord Kissekatt: bad guys on*
A Cairn of Rage: If people have their characters go at one another, so be
it.
Nobilis Arcanus: And the good th good point of the hacking each other
apart,....it gives entertainment and the chars can bet!
Lord Kissekatt: Baldur will handle all those pesky moral issues.
Lord Kissekatt: Haha, betting.
Tesarik One: Yes, because as our rules state, there are consequences. If you
run your mouth at someone with a temper, you no doubt will get a fist in the
face.
Lord Kissekatt: I do not want those emporium receipts.
Onyx Dalliance: lol
Nobilis Arcanus: LOL
Nobilis Arcanus: your getting them alll!!
A Cairn of Rage: -Herds the cats back together-
Onyx Dalliance: My apps 90%
DaemianBerazalle: Good deal
A Cairn of Rage: Alright. We covered:
A Cairn of Rage: HEaling soon to be allowed in spars
A Cairn of Rage: 2 new "special attacks"
A Cairn of Rage: AA's being PSL or MB only
A Cairn of Rage: Are there any other things that you all wish to bring up?
Nobilis Arcanus: I cant think of anything
Lord Kissekatt: Elaborating on my previous statement on hacking each other
to bits. If both agree, high impacts allowed to go to the death? Thoughts?
Nobilis Arcanus: That could be intresting
Nobilis Arcanus: if someone is willing to put their char on the line
Lord Kissekatt: Not like we don't have rezzes, rezz coins, true rezz
available from the emporium, and the fact that people seem to rarely die on
quests.
Tesarik One: If we allowed that, I think we need to have both characters,
and both muns agree. And send the agreements in with the log.
A Cairn of Rage: I brought this up before, it was denied, but it is coming
back to my board
A Cairn of Rage: I will be working on Death Match (basically what is
mentioned with a few extra rules)
A Cairn of Rage: and even the old Scar Match
Lord Kissekatt: :-O You mean I've been giving my characters scars for no
reason?
Nobilis Arcanus: LOL
Lord Kissekatt: Poor Ashton.
Tesarik One: It's different than just having scars from the spar.
Lord Kissekatt: At least he didn't get any on the face. But that sounds
interesting.
A Cairn of Rage: Well the Scar Match is from UV
DaemianBerazalle: Yeah, I'd like to see an alternate route given beyond
death, but something just as permanent. The scar match is kinda cool.
Lord Kissekatt: I don't even know what it is, then.
A Cairn of Rage: Basically.....alright we will use Bob and Tom
Tesarik One: It's that at the end, if you lose, the other person gets to
scar you. it's an alternative to death match between two people who hate each
other.
A Cairn of Rage: -Watches Pam steal thunder-
Lord Kissekatt: Ha.
Tesarik One: Sorry
Lord Kissekatt: brb
Nobilis Arcanus: LOL So basicly if you piss someone off and stick your nose
in their business they can cut your nose off if they win
A Cairn of Rage: In a way
Nobilis Arcanus: or in most of my chars ways,...bite that fucker right off
Onyx Dalliance: like Tyrio n
Tesarik One: No, not dismemberment.
A Cairn of Rage: Both people state WHAT the scar will be before the match
begins
A Cairn of Rage: They can take the round tip, not the whole thing
DaemianBerazalle: Are there thoughts to adding a "scarred" flaw with this
effect?
A Cairn of Rage: No.
A Cairn of Rage: The scar just gets put in your dossier.
DaemianBerazalle: K
A Cairn of Rage: It's more a mark of humility or shame
Tesarik One: A scar could be a letter on someone's ass lol.
Tesarik One: It really isn't a flaw persay.
A Cairn of Rage: I have seen Tear drop scar beneath the eye, elf ear tip
cut, waves formed, slash over neck, etc etc
Onyx Dalliance: Can my char kick somebody's butt if they start a fight?
DaemianBerazalle: Ok, I was thinking more along the lines of an option
available at character creation.
A Cairn of Rage: Depends on your skills and dice
A Cairn of Rage: Look at Fenris' bebo....he is scarred to all hell and back
Nobilis Arcanus: Yeah my old char lost one and had a T cut into the cheek
just beneath the eye
Tesarik One: If you have an idea for a flaw like that, just send me your
idea and we'll talk about it.
DaemianBerazalle: Ok, thanks
Onyx Dalliance: A&b fight,me/c kicks a
A Cairn of Rage: If I rp a good spar or the like. Like between Astrid and
Fenris, when they really hit the other...I make the cut scar over
Nobilis Arcanus: I am the same way
A Cairn of Rage: I think they have cracked teeth, broke bone, etc
Tesarik One: They also aren't magical so it's not like it poofs away with
magical self-healing.
A Cairn of Rage: No. Self-Healing may work wonders, but not all.
DaemianBerazalle: Makes sense, since you do enter a pact before the match
takes place.
A Cairn of Rage: Scars from a scar match...will NEVER go away
A Cairn of Rage: eno matter what
Tesarik One: But thing is you know before hand what the scar will be so if
you aren't willing, then don't agree to the match.
A Cairn of Rage: Exactly.
Tesarik One: Like my chars, rarely agreed to scars on the face.
Tesarik One: Or stupid shit.
A Cairn of Rage: There will be a FULL example of one before we bring them up
Onyx Dalliance: excited to join
Lord Kissekatt: Kyle can get more scars.
Lord Kissekatt: He's only like 40% scar tissue I think
Onyx Dalliance: no scars for Miyuki..I hope
A Cairn of Rage: Would he fight in a match like that though?
Lord Kissekatt: As opposed to a death match, absolutely.
Lord Kissekatt: But as opposed to a normal high impact spar, no.
A Cairn of Rage: For those just walking in.....we are having a OOC night. A
planned talk over things going on and things to come
A Cairn of Rage: Please, feel free to jump in with anything you have.
questions, wants, ideas.
Nobilis Arcanus: I want,.....
Nobilis Arcanus: a soda brb
A Cairn of Rage: I need......
A Cairn of Rage: A Guinness Extra Stout
Nobilis Arcanus: LOL
Nobilis Arcanus: OHH
Nobilis Arcanus: on Wandcraft!
Nobilis Arcanus: can effect wands be made
Nobilis Arcanus: like a wand of webs that can do a 1 round hold per charge
Nobilis Arcanus: or the prismatic light effect that does about the same
thing
Tesarik One: we have enough holds in the game I think
Tesarik One: but I'll think about it.
Tesarik One: Holds just got even more dangerous so I'm really not interested
in making even more ways to have them lol
Nobilis Arcanus: LOL Awww my drow is sad
DaemianBerazalle: Yeah, the reduction of quickness made them way more
threatening.
Tesarik One: That said, there is loot that does thtat every now and again.
One of my chars has a necklace that you can throw and hold.
Tesarik One: so, there may be loot that comes up every now and again, but
letting wands like that be on the market, and crafted for cheaply, no
Nobilis Arcanus: Yeah that was one of the things I was going off of,..but
most males arnt goina go around in a choker
Lord Kissekatt: Pfft.
Lord Kissekatt: They're just not fabulous enough.
Nobilis Arcanus: Baldur might,...::Hides::
Tesarik One: LOL
Nobilis Arcanus: Fashion it in a kitty collar style
Nobilis Arcanus: with dingly bells
Onyx Dalliance: squeeee
Tesarik One: With the holds in mind, I do have one question.
A Cairn of Rage: I assume I am to answer?
Tesarik One: Someone suggested that since holds are even more dangerous now
(and since there are so many available ) that there be a skill that can be
taken that will negate an effect upon a person. It could also grow with
gemstone rank.
Tesarik One: No, it's just a general question to see what people think.
A Cairn of Rage: There are skills for that
A Cairn of Rage: evades and redirects
Tesarik One: If we don't make it a skill, we could allow this to be done for
mage spells.
Lord Kissekatt: Something that can shave a round or two off their ally's
hold.
Lord Kissekatt: Or negate it.
Lord Kissekatt: That way if the whole group -1 person is held by bad guys
wer're not all SOL, and same thing for the bad guys. It's not all that fun to
have a fight against bad guys where they're all locked down until they die.
Tesarik One: No I'm talking about someone else, like a cleric, has a skill
that will remove an effect upon a team mate.
Mighty Gar thog: back
A Cairn of Rage: wb
Mighty Gar thog: ty
Nobilis Arcanus: sort of like a debuff or dispell
Lord Kissekatt: An anti-paralyzing palm, if you will.
Lord Kissekatt: Adal can just punch that shit back into place so they can
move again.
Nobilis Arcanus: LMAO
Lord Kissekatt: For example.
A Cairn of Rage: I can see the healing types having something that may do
that
Nobilis Arcanus: then sign language em "Get your ass moving!"
DaemianBerazalle: Wb, but I'm afk now. Coffee . . . it calls.
Lord Kissekatt: It'd give healers something else to do in a fight besides
heal, for that matter.
Lord Kissekatt: heal and miss*
Tesarik One: I'll look into it.
A Cairn of Rage: I think it is something we could work for healers
Lord Kissekatt: Or if a healer character is a pacifist and refuses to fight
at all, they'd have more things they can do that are still in line with
healing.
Tesarik One: Yeah.
Nobilis Arcanus: That is a good idea
A Cairn of Rage: One item of note for that though....it would be rank based
A Cairn of Rage: Some Topaz healer is not going to be able to ward of or
remove the whole lose turn effect from an Emerald strike
Mighty Gar thog: only problem i see, is that skills are so numerous and we
get to choose so few now.
A Cairn of Rage: they may shave one round off
Lord Kissekatt: Well yeah.
A Cairn of Rage: Chose wisely
Lord Kissekatt: Maybe make its round effect the same as the lose turn
effect.
A Cairn of Rage: Little green dude said that I think
Lord Kissekatt: I think it was the old guy guarding the Grail.
Nobilis Arcanus: LOL Yeah I spent a good three hours picking the skills for
Rhyss
Nobilis Arcanus: and he only got 3
Lord Kissekatt: And that's also why you get to pay for skill changes if you
think it's necessary.
A Cairn of Rage: The Templar
Onyx Dalliance: i've spent 3days
Onyx Dalliance: lol
A Cairn of Rage: I agree with Andy
A Cairn of Rage: Don;t like what you got, pay up
Lord Kissekatt: It's obviously best to think it through the first time.
Lord Kissekatt: Which is why it gets progressively more expensive.
Onyx Dalliance: I am
Onyx Dalliance:
Tesarik One: I think having lots of skills is a good thing, you can tailor
your char exactly how you like. No one is going to know everything.
DaemianBerazalle: Yeah . . . and the first night I switch out No Way Out . .
. it's needed! Lol
Lord Kissekatt: Indeed.
Tesarik One: Sure, you'll see skills you would like but don't have room, but
if we gave everyone tons of skills it makes having the skill less important.
And more people will be jacks of all trades when we are more about
specializing.
Nobilis Arcanus: Exactly I am making Rhyss basicly a glass cannon
Lord Kissekatt: Two characters of the same class/profession can have very
different builds, which is a good thing.
DaemianBerazalle: Oh, I have a question and now is the perfect time for it,
before we move to the next topic.
Nobilis Arcanus: Big booms,...but he gets hit he gets hit hard!
A Cairn of Rage: I mean think on the characters we have now
A Cairn of Rage: What makes them so unique?
Tesarik One: Think about Indrila. She is specialized against spirits. That's
how I wanted to build her and fits her storyline and race. She can't do much
about anything else lol...but get her in a fight with spirits and she can
save the day.
Lord Kissekatt: Charming personality.
Lord Kissekatt: That might just be Baldur though.
A Cairn of Rage: Hits like a train
A Cairn of Rage: That would be Fenris.
A Cairn of Rage: He will NEVER spot the ambush
Lord Kissekatt: Kyle: doesn't get hit very often.
Onyx Dalliance: I'm building Miyuki strictly on her concept
A Cairn of Rage: But when he sees them finally, it's game on
Nobilis Arcanus: Put an iceborn infront of Rhyss across the ground,..it
dies,..put em in range as he said OH FUCK ME!
Mighty Gar thog: dae? a question you had?
DaemianBerazalle: My question was more along the personal lines of being a
Vampire. But it's something I'd spoken of in the past to Jake, so I directed
it at his IM.
Mighty Gar thog: oh, ok
A Cairn of Rage: -Reading-
DaemianBerazalle: Thank you, though
Mighty Gar thog: yw
Lord Kissekatt: Not sharing with the rest of the class? Tsk tsk.
DaemianBerazalle: Haha, well, I don't mind sharing.
Lord Kissekatt: It doesn't really matter to me.
Onyx Dalliance: Hi cat kisser
Onyx Dalliance:
Onyx Dalliance: oops
Onyx Dalliance: Disregard
DaemianBerazalle: Pot's done brewing, afk a few again
Lord Kissekatt: Pothead.
Onyx Dalliance: calling kettle black
Lord Kissekatt: The potheads I've known, I could definitely see them sitting
in their kitchen calling their kettle black.
Onyx Dalliance: :-P
Nobilis Arcanus: The potheads ive known couldnt find the kitchen unless you
led em there with an open bag of funions
DaemianBerazalle: "Dickhead, shitehad, pothead." Choose!
Mighty Gar thog: ~tosses this out~ If a bard goes on a quest, shouldn't all
on that adventure gain more rep?
Lord Kissekatt: Only if they talk about it.
Lord Kissekatt: And we all know snitches get stitches.
Tesarik One: Why?
Onyx Dalliance: My charrie=bard
Tesarik One: What does having a bard along have to do with more rep?
Mighty Gar thog: what are they doing when the player is not rping them?
Tesarik One: I'm not being mean I'm seriously asking lol
Onyx Dalliance: idk
DaemianBerazalle: I can see it from the Bard being a tale-spinner.
Lord Kissekatt: It makes sense, in the sense that they'd tell the story more
than the average character, and more flamboyantly.
Nobilis Arcanus: True there is that point
DaemianBerazalle: It's how most information that wasn't written down got
passed along way back when, after all.
Lord Kissekatt: It'd stick in peoples' heads better.
Onyx Dalliance: Fabulous!
Nobilis Arcanus: writing songs adn singing rhymes about Joxer the mighty
Lord Kissekatt: Great.
Nobilis Arcanus: and I think everyone remembers that song who has seen xena
at least once
Lord Kissekatt: Now my whole party's been lose-turned.
Tesarik One: I dunno. I think if a bard writes a song or rp's on the board
or in a chat telling the story....sure.
Lord Kissekatt: I know how Pam feels.
DaemianBerazalle: Haha, which game?
Lord Kissekatt: FF1
DaemianBerazalle: Oi
Onyx Dalliance: There once was a man from Nantucket
Lord Kissekatt: So I'll be in this one for a while.
Tesarik One: But just saying cause they are a bard we get more rep, nah.
Because they might be a terrible bard and never go around and tell stories.
DaemianBerazalle: Yeah, btw folks, if Andy and I ever go quiet it's cause
we're geeking about video games, lol
Lord Kissekatt: That's also true.
Onyx Dalliance: like me
Lord Kissekatt: True.
Lord Kissekatt: Usually at each other.
DaemianBerazalle: I have a proposal to accompany this, then.
Lord Kissekatt: Lmao
Lord Kissekatt: Falqun got un-paralyzed long enough for me to pick an
action, then re-paralyzed before she could do it.
Tesarik One: Aww poor Falqun
DaemianBerazalle: Let's say character A is a Bard that went on a mission
with characters BCDE and F.
Lord Kissekatt: Of course the zombies re-paralyze the person casting the
death to all zombies spell.
Onyx Dalliance: Can I do gilligan island style songs?
Lord Kissekatt: Anyway. Continue proposing!
DaemianBerazalle: Character A writes up a story, whether it be through song,
a performance by interperative dance, or a "story" they've written up(Bardic
embellishments assumed to be thrown in, of course!)
Nobilis Arcanus: ,...interperative dance so they bounce around acting like a
butterfly acting out the exploits of Logen, Daemian and Baldur?
DaemianBerazalle: That facet then gets put on the Message Board, and
determine from there as to whether or not it contributes well-enough to the
fame/infamy of characters ABCDE and F.
Lord Kissekatt: You jest, but Baldur's probably a better dancer than most
characters in this game.
Onyx Dalliance: Miyuki would bounce alright..
Tesarik One: I would be fine with that.
Lord Kissekatt: I like that idea.
Mighty Gar thog: sounds good to me.
DaemianBerazalle: Have it only ever give a small amount, I wouldn't say any
more than 2, personally. But it is something they as a class would excell
at.
Lord Kissekatt: Then it's all on the bard to be bardy.
Tesarik One: Jake as mission mod could decide if it's worth any rep or not.
but you aren't going to get a lot. .5 maybe 1
A Cairn of Rage: Likely not that
Lord Kissekatt: .2?
Tesarik One: you don't even get 2 rep from the adventure
A Cairn of Rage: I have seen what MB postings happen
A Cairn of Rage: They die QUICK
Tesarik One: No no, not a message board where others are involved.
A Cairn of Rage: Then how do you judge a Bard's performance?
Lord Kissekatt: Harshly.
Tesarik One: A story a bard writes of telling our story to a group of folks.
Tesarik One: You decide like you do for storylines, how well it's written.
A Cairn of Rage: Being that Girard is our only one, I'll need cliff notes.
A Cairn of Rage: His mind wanders
Tesarik One: How much detail they give. Was it entertaining? Was it witty?
Did they tell the story well?
Onyx Dalliance: hey
Onyx Dalliance: <--bard
A Cairn of Rage: ^
A Cairn of Rage: not in yet
Lord Kissekatt: Owned.
Onyx Dalliance: true
Tesarik One: We will discuss it and when and if we decide to allow this
you'll know.
Onyx Dalliance: ...
DaemianBerazalle: By all means, please work on this, but it's just like
adding healing in for spars imo. Just a way for people to utilize their
classes more.
Onyx Dalliance: -goes in corner-
A Cairn of Rage: Let me think it over for a day or two, even maybe have a
trial run with one to see. I don;t really wanna say yes or no yet
Tesarik One: Yeah. I'm all about people having things to do with their
classes.
Lord Kissekatt: You're in enough to be here though! That counts for
something.
A Cairn of Rage: True
Tesarik One: I'll consider it, and talk it through. That's really all I can
say about it now.
Onyx Dalliance: Big boobed cat bard=charmer
DaemianBerazalle: I gotta be more proactive with Dae as a Ranger. Even if
it's typical "going hunting" posts. Foodstocks won't hurt to have very fresh
meat every now and then.
Onyx Dalliance: Mmm...meat
A Cairn of Rage: Hey man...seriously.....write up some MB hunting posts to
get food and the like
A Cairn of Rage: turn them in
DaemianBerazalle: Will do. Lord knows I have enough time in a day.
A Cairn of Rage: Side note. Even if I see MB stories going on, I don;t pay
on them unless they are TURNED IN
Onyx Dalliance: hey
Lord Kissekatt: write me up some posts of Baldur harassing poor people if
you have that much time.
A Cairn of Rage: I don;t know if you are doing it for fun, for pay, if it's
over, if it is still going, if it stalled out
DaemianBerazalle: Cool deal, and good to know. I don't like getting paid
for everything I do, cause sometimes I just like to write so I can put stuff
on paper and put it out there.
DaemianBerazalle: Lol, I'll try to get the feel of Baldur just right in
order to do so.
Lord Kissekatt: Try sneering in real life while you write.
Lord Kissekatt: Or get off a 9 hour shift at walmart on a sunday.
DaemianBerazalle: HAha, fair enough
Tesarik One: If anyone is a magic item crafter and has ideas for magic item
crafting enchantments, send them to me. Can't promise I'll add, but I am
working on a definitive list.
Tesarik One: What is on the list, you can enchant. If it ain't there, you
can't do it.
Nobilis Arcanus: Ohhh i got tons!
Tesarik One: Well read what's there first then send anything else.
DaemianBerazalle: I don't have an enchanter, but I can definitely send
ideas! I have a plethora of sources to draw from!
Tesarik One: Alright.
Nobilis Arcanus: ive got a list sitting in my mailbox right now lol
Tesarik One: Ideas for any of the crafting divisions work.
Lord Kissekatt: I might not have any ideas for crafting, but I could
probably binge on kung fu movies and come up with all sorts of stuff for
unarmed attack enhancements
Tesarik One: Sure. I'm open to that too.
Nobilis Arcanus: I have a few tricks for that to from prior games
A Cairn of Rage: I would just have them mirror weapons
Tesarik One: Crafters CAN enchant someone's unarmed tech after all.
Tesarik One: Send what you want. I'll get to it, I read everything even if I
don't implement it.
Tesarik One: I'm excited about the crafting changes I made. It'll be in the
update tomorrow.
Nobilis Arcanus: those look awesome
Tesarik One: Dragoncraft needs some ideas.
A Cairn of Rage: I think I'm almost done with my last review of the b work
A Cairn of Rage: ah hell
Nobilis Arcanus: what type of work and I might see what I have or can whip
up on items and use the books I have
Nobilis Arcanus: just items andsuch?
Tesarik One: for dragoncraft? Yeah items that can be crafted from dragon
parts.
Lord Kissekatt: Funky hats!
Tesarik One: I've got a list from UV somewhere from Bryllwen but I gotta
find it
Nobilis Arcanus: ive got some of those I can write up
Lord Kissekatt: Like the alligator hat in Metal Gear Solid 3, only with a
dragon head.
Nobilis Arcanus: LOL
Onyx Dalliance: ......
DaemianBerazalle: ::Cough, "Skyrim" cough::
Lord Kissekatt: Actually....I just got Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate for 3DS, I
can probably find all sorts of dragony nonsense in that too.
Tesarik One: Actually I think what Bryll had was in one of my Dragon
magazines so I'll find that.
Nobilis Arcanus: ive got the dragonmagic book and stuff on a disc
Mighty Gar thog: heads too big.
Lord Kissekatt: Indeed, they do have pretty big heads.
Nobilis Arcanus: Dragonfang Daggers
Tesarik One: send me ideas!
Nobilis Arcanus: loved those had one with my former hand of the wing master
Mighty Gar thog: i can see it now... someone will give gar a regenerating
item on condition they can take scales and teeth from him lol
Nobilis Arcanus: Nah,..best way to get scales and teeth is cut the head off
Nobilis Arcanus: ^_^
Lord Kissekatt: It's too big!
Tesarik One: I got something! If you are interested in playing a pirate for
a tiny offshoot storyline then talk to me. We won't really do much more than
once or twice a month, but it could be a fun little side thing.
Mighty Gar thog: nah. not a neverending supply then. ya thinking too small.
Nobilis Arcanus: Yes but if you take out the market then no one else can
have that market and you have it all to yourself and it becmes a rare market
and you can jerk the prices skyhigh
Mighty Gar thog: ... pirate follower? or swashbuckler type?
Nobilis Arcanus: if everyone can get scales and teeth then its just bleh
Lord Kissekatt: What does that mean, Gar? Pirate follower?
Tesarik One: Hahaha.
Lord Kissekatt: What a topical thing you bring up, as well, considering the
music I just got done listening to.
Mighty Gar thog: a neverending supply is better than a high priced short
supply. more sales, long term.
Tesarik One: Lol
Mighty Gar thog: a minor pirate underling. simple fighter type.
Lord Kissekatt: Oh.
Lord Kissekatt: Well we already have three drastically different pirates on
one crew.
A Cairn of Rage: Basically you'll be playing with Sol, Grayson, Sadlin, so
plan accordingly
Nobilis Arcanus: bout to have a fouth
Nobilis Arcanus: *fourth
Lord Kissekatt: If you play with Grayson you cannot be scared to get punched
in the face.
Lord Kissekatt: Italics added to stress the point.
Tesarik One: You would be an underling yes.
Tesarik One: You'd be screamed at, keelhauled, whipped and/or shot in the
face quite often.
Lord Kissekatt: I dunno if you'd get shot in the face often.
Mighty Gar thog: lol
Tesarik One: Haha.
Lord Kissekatt: But yes, that's what dealing with Grayson is like.
Lord Kissekatt: He is in charge of discipline on the ship, after all!
Lord Kissekatt: Sol's even scarier.
Mighty Gar thog: walk the planc for mutiny.
Lord Kissekatt: walk the plank for fun
Lord Kissekatt: Just kidding, they're not thaaaaaat bad.
Tesarik One: No, it will be fun. But remember this is a slight
offshoot...don't do it if you are wanting to play a pirate a lot. This is a
side thing that'll be every now and again.
Tesarik One: And no, once you are on the pirate ship you can't pop and do
other OH stuff in Navahla.
Tesarik One: So keep that in mind.
Lord Kissekatt: You coooooould.
Lord Kissekatt: You'd have to be able to make the swim.
Lord Kissekatt: And if Grayson saw you again you really would get shot in
the face.
DaemianBerazalle: Lol, derelictment of duties is a good reason to get shot
in the face.
Lord Kissekatt: Especially since they don't have a huge crew.
Mighty Gar thog: Shanghaied crew...
Onyx Dalliance: Hey sailor!
Mighty Gar thog: ~tries to get into pirate mode~ Gah! Women on ship? Bad
luck! Toss em overboard!
Lord Kissekatt: Yeah good luck with that
Onyx Dalliance: No!
Mighty Gar thog: All sailors know that! The Gods will sink a war ship with a
woman on board!
Lord Kissekatt: Go right ahead and try to throw all the women on our ship
overboard.
Lord Kissekatt: Pam can probably explain how well that'd go.
Mighty Gar thog: lol
Onyx Dalliance: remove his coconuts
Lord Kissekatt: I don't think that rule applies when the captain's a woman
Tesarik One: Yeah.
Lord Kissekatt: And I don't think he'd be alive tlong enough o feel bad
about his coconuts.
Mighty Gar thog: ... you have a lovely bunchj of... coconuts.
Lord Kissekatt: enough to*
A Cairn of Rage: Well I was really hoping for a better turn out, as tonight like I mentioned was going to be something a little different.
Nobilis Arcanus: Baldur might,...::Hides::
DaemianBerazalle: ::Cough, "Skyrim" cough::
