Sure, Logen had collected Violeta and the two of them had opted to staying at the Heart for awhile. The Cant smelled rancid and the Heart had a bathtub. Smelling nice and sleeping in a bed definitely had it's merits. Never-the-less, Logen still had the weight of guilt on his heart. If he hadn't had asked her to stay in his stead to protect Evangeline, this wouldn't have happened to her. And with guilt comes anger and it is always focused in one direction or another. At the current time, it was towards Hector. But his hands were tied currently, weren't they? Logen had no idea where to go to seek out the neck to wring. Though, perhaps he knew the man who could show him the way.
The Northman had readied himself for the day long before Violeta had even stirred. Hell, she was still in bed now. She seemed peckish and under the weather, undoubtedly from being malnourished and abused by Hector's cronies. Another crime to pin on Hector's hide. Each bead of sweat from Violeta's brow had him counting another way how he'd see Hector's pain elongated before his end. He'd scoff in his head, knowing that staying in the room and leering over Violeta was going to accomplish nothing. Eva was still out there, and the longer Hector had her, the more dark and dire matters would grow. His heart would have him not leave Violeta's side while she was taken with some illness, but the fury and Rage in him would not allow him to stay.
And explanation of his absence he would leave in the form of a note, far from the yearnings and feelings displayed in a billet-doux. It was informative, brunt and to the point stating his direction, his destination and his fore thought of things to come. He was going to seek Girard out and either get a plan of action or a location where the wretched noble laid his head. He had a feeling Girard was informed on the matter. So with a note left for his Gypsy, Logen would take leave, geared up and good to go. Out the door he went, foot falls silenced by the boots he wore and the care he took not to wake his woman on the mend. Before he left the Inne, he'd seek out Maria and inform her of Violeta's slight condition.
If Girard wasn't in the Heart looking for help, then Logen was heading towards the cottage to seek the Jongleur out.
