[ ooc: takes place immediately after the Quest: Held for Random ]
How nice of their pirate adversaries to leave the poor bastard behind. Kythin was unsurprised to see the young sailor he'd, very literally, scared the piss out of through the predatory visage of his half-dragon transformation. He'd put in the effort to drag the pirate out of water along with him on this return trip through that portal back to Port Union.
Port Union was not to be graced overly long by the dragonkin and the Obsidian Heart Inne was by no means his best option when regarding the awakening, unnamed sailor. Kythin chose to bide his time and await the awakening. When the pirate was finally starting to come to he found himself seized by his collar and dragged back to his feet. " Looks like your Captain has abaondoned you but lucky you.. I'm in need of a Squire. " Kythin spoke these words in common, it had suffice on their previous conversation after all.
" Eh, Squi... 'ey now whats going on!? " Nothing like being throttled after a night terror involving some scaled beast threatening to devour you in some Lord's stead! Took a bit to get a bearing and a little understanding of what the pale-haired youth holding him up was talking about. " You daft? I am a pirate, a pirate! Not some tin with a blade. "
" Guess you've changed your mind about being eaten then? Good I was starting to feel peckish.. "
" Eh.. " Oh bullocks. " Y..y..you're that lout that became a dragon and threatened to eat me if I didn't tell you 'bout the Captain! " Well wouldn't be too surprising if he lose control of his bladder in terror at the memory if not the less frightening human-looking man he dealt with now. " .. I guess I can think on this Squire business you're on about. "
Kythin snorted at the accusation, completely true though it was.. " That I am Manling. Lot of help you were.. " Except in actually capturing the correct Captain. Course he couldn't really blame the Dock Rat when it'd all been in the same general area. " Have a man or will manling have to suffice? "
" .. Blaine. "
" Not much of a talker, hm? " Muttered Kythin, well nothing he'd bother to fix. After all by now his time with the Dunsany 'King' was practically overwith. That did not mean he'd not continue to make use of the title bestowed upon him. As the Black Knight of Dunsany it was his right to take a Squire. There was little he did not think he could get away with long as there was careful line danced about. " You should find a change of clothes.. they won't let you into the Letters leaving the Coward's Trail. "
Blaine did not care for this dragon-in-sheeps-clothing, yet he felt there was little choice until he could procur a reasonable means to Madder to return to his Captain and her Ship. " Shut you... "
Kythin didn't care to let the Pirate think back-talking would be a key part of this working relationship. There would be no questioning orders, 'Squire Blaine' would just have to do what he was told. Ky reached out, promptly grasping the fool Pirate by the collar and tugging him forth. " Your next words best be 'Yes, Sir', or I'll be cutting out that insolent tongue. " The Dragonkin finished his intimidating demand by giving the poor fool a knee to his jaw before letting Blaine fall to the street. " Get some new clothes, thats an order. "
