Tesarik One: Log On
Tesarik One: Mission: Baldur's Search
Tesarik One: List your stuff for the record.
Lord Kissekatt: Topaz Defender Baron Baldur Kissekatt, 1st Baron Kissekatt,
2d36, defDC13, 19hp
Lord Kissekatt: Midas Touch for double gold!
Tesarik One: Baldur, though either research or having the right contacts,
has heard tale of an old man that lives hidden in a secluded area of forest.
He is said to have contacts throughout the known world, as well as spanning
the planes. A good
Tesarik One: man to have connected with. He is known to be a sage and a
teacher, taking students from all over the worlds and planes. The old man
named Erhine is worth making his acquaintance, especially since he could have
some information on
Tesarik One: noble that Baldur wishes to destroy. While his studies have
told him that Erhine exists, where he lives is not something he knows yet.
Baldur's first stop is the massive library located at the university in
Navahla.
Tesarik One: (begin rp)
Lord Kissekatt: Normally he would not at all want to go meet someone who was
staying in seclusion, mostly because people, in his experience, were not
worth his time. But, he'd make an exception for someone as allegedly
well-connected as this man.
Lord Kissekatt: His only real hope was that he woudn't end up wasting his
effort and finding out the man was completely out of his mind or something.
Dealing with people from all sorts of worlds and planes could do that, after
all. Anyhow. Library!
Lord Kissekatt: Time to make the most of his time here in Navahla. He
stepped into the library, dressed nicely as always. No bow today, since he
didn't forsee any fights breaking out in the middle of a center of learning.
His first stop would be
Lord Kissekatt: history, he wanted to find as many references to Erhine as
he could, if any, to try and find some inkling of where the man might be
residing.
Tesarik One: The head librarian, an elderly woman with spectacles balanced
upon the end of her nose, headed over towards Baldur as he entered the
library. She didn't recognize him as a student, and he seemed to be someone
of importance. She
Tesarik One: smiled warmly towards him, "May I help you locate something,
Sir?"
Lord Kissekatt: He winced inwardly when he was addressed by something. He
was more keen on doing his own research. For one, it left other people not
knowing what he was looking into, and on top of that, he just did better on
his own. He didn't have
Lord Kissekatt: a smile in return for the woman as his eyes shifted towards
her. Time to send her on a wild goose chase. "Yes, perhaps you could. I'm
visiting from Doxenia, and I seem to have misplaced my recipes. I've a new
set of chefs that I
Lord Kissekatt: hired here, and I was looking for some Doxenian recipe books
that I might either borrow or get copied down so they can prepare something
that's at least passably edible."
Tesarik One: "Ahh Doxenian recipes? Of course." She turned away and headed
into the stacks, disappearing and leaving him alone for a good little while.
Lord Kissekatt: "Thank you." And as soon as she disappeared into the stacks,
he made his own way into them to seek out history! He had enough knowledge of
geography on his own that he probably wouldn't need to cross-reference
anything except his
Lord Kissekatt: own brain, but he did try to make note of where he might
find such books as well.
Tesarik One: At the very least, he knew that Erhine was from Sarkotos. That
would give him a start with the history books. The history books he found
written in common made no mention of Erhine, but there were a few written in
Sark that
Tesarik One: mentioned him -- if he could read Sark.
Lord Kissekatt: Of course he could read Sark! He wouldn't be living in
Sarkotos if he couldn't read the language, after all.
Tesarik One: Roll a Knowledge (geography) to figure out where the books are
saying he is located.
OnlineHost: Lord Kissekatt rolled 1 20-sided die: 2
Lord Kissekatt: (+5 intelligence, +5 knowledge (geography) = 12)
Tesarik One: Well, he didn't find out exactly where it was, but he did find
out that it was located in Scourcone Forest, and there was mention of him
doing business in Deepwood.
Tesarik One: Roll another geography knowledge check to find out what you
know about Deepwood and the Scourcone Forest.
OnlineHost: Lord Kissekatt rolled 1 20-sided die: 17
Lord Kissekatt: (27)
Lord Kissekatt: Apparently he'd looked into getting some land around there
at some point so he knew quite a lot!
Tesarik One: This forest was long abandoned by the elves to humankind. With
little undergrowth, a wealth of wildlife, and a high canopy, the Scourcone
Forest is entirely the property of the crown of Sarkotos and
Tesarik One: used to be a pleasant place to ride and a favorite destination
for hunting. Now, however, it is inhabited by orcs and other nasty critters
that tend to attack Deepwood and Feld far too often these
Tesarik One: days.
Tesarik One: Deepwood is within the depths of Scourcone Forest southwest of
Navahla. There is a famous Druid's Grove nearby sacred to all druids of any
types. They often meet within the sacred menhirs to conduct
Tesarik One: rituals to strengthen the forests. It is said these stones hold
secrets none have yet revealed.
Lord Kissekatt: "Hmm." He considered that information for a moment. It was
of coruse why he had decided not to get any land around there! Too dangerous,
and not profitable enough. He thought about what to do with that. Perhaps he
could get his wife
Lord Kissekatt: to speak to some druids, he certainly wouldn't know what to
say to them, all that magic-type-stuff was not his area of expertise. At any
rate, he figured one of those druids would almost certainly know more about
the area and where
Lord Kissekatt: Erhine might be.
Tesarik One: Port Union can teleport him to Deepwood for 500gp! Or, about a
day or so journey by horse.
Lord Kissekatt: Oh he wasn't much of an impulse traveller, particularly when
he felt his wife would be much more able to get information out of people,
whether by asking questions or other less savory methods! He'd just have to
go consult with her
Lord Kissekatt: before he went to Deepwood! He would, however, shift his
research attention to try and figure out what sorts of druids inhabited that
particular area.
Tesarik One: It doesn't take much research to find that many druids,
rangers, and other sylvan creatures such as elves make Deepwood home since
they do not live throughout the forest anymore.
Tesarik One: Most druids are friendly, and would no doubt have information.
Tesarik One: Log Off
(done in two parts)
Tesarik One: State name, rank, dice, DC, etc to join.
Lord Kissekatt: Topaz Defender, Baron Baldur Kissekatt, 1st Baron Kissekatt.
d36, def13, 19hp
Iady kissekatt: Topaz Champion, Bianca Kissekatt, d40, 16hp, DC13
Tesarik One: So, Baldur had recruited his wife Bianca to assist him in this
search he was on to find the old man Erhine. He is left with the decision to
pay 500gp to use the Port Union to get to Deepwood, or travel a day's journey
by horseback.
Lord Kissekatt: Well he certainly wasn't paying the 500 out of his own
pocket. He had to save up for his war effort, soon as he got the right
contacts to allow it to be done properly! Horses it was, unless his wife
wanted to pay.
Lord Kissekatt: (Oh, forgot to mention Midas Touch for double gold!)
Iady kissekatt: She would pay! She didn't want to ride horses that far away,
and she had a good lump of money so it wasn't a big deal for her to pay for
them to get to Deepwood. And that's just what she did! 500gp paid out, and
the portal once it was created was stepped through.
Tesarik One: Well, once they got to Deepwood there were plenty of people
that could be talked to (diplomacy? intimidation?) in order to see if they
knew the way to Erhine's cottage. There was a local tavern, a druid enclave,
and woodcutters to
Tesarik One: name a few.
Lord Kissekatt: Hurray! He knew there was a reason he married her. Through
the portal they went! He had his shortbow on his back, along with some
arrows, just in case a bit of self-defense was needed. Or if any birds
startled him too much. He had a
Lord Kissekatt: brief look around, thinking on what he knew of the place,
then looked to Bianca. "Shall we split up, you talk tot he druids while I
talk to the....rabble?" Unless there were rich people about there wasn't
really anyone he thought he
Lord Kissekatt: could identify with, but it wouldn't hurt to try. Maybe.
Iady kissekatt: "That sounds fine." She wrinkled her nose as she thought
about talking to druids, but perhaps if she used her (Mask of Gentility)
they'd better talk to her than if they knew or perceived how dark her heart
really was. She tugged him close and stole a kiss and pinch to his ass, then
turned away and headed to find some druids.
Tesarik One: State who you are talking to, and what you are asking, and then
roll your Diplomacy, Gather Info, or Intimidation or whatever else you've
decided to use.
Iady kissekatt: She found out where the druids were, and headed right on
over until she found one of them. She pulled her cloak around her a little
more and put a smile on her face, as she approached. "Excuse me, I am in need
of some very particular healing herbs and have been told there is a reclusive
mage that would have them near her... I believe his name is Erhine? Would you
have any idea how to point me in the direction of his home?" (Diplomacy)

OnlineHost: Tesarik One rolled 1 20-sided die: 1
Lord Kissekatt: Well first of all, he tried to figure out where the rich
people would be hiding, if there were any around. (Knowledge: Local? Using
Cosmopolitan for the +5 since he doesn't have that skill, if that works.)
Tesarik One: Well, sucky as 6 was....she passed. And, the druids did know
where Erhine's cottage was, and even drew her out a little map.
OnlineHost: Lord Kissekatt rolled 1 20-sided die: 11
Lord Kissekatt: (16)
Tesarik One: They'd be at the tavern with everyone else, or lounging in the
gardens of their homes.
Lord Kissekatt: Well to the tavern it was. Anybody present that looked like
a fellow noble?
Tesarik One: They weren't as finely dressed as city nobles, but there was
one man dressed better than all the others, sitting on his own with some
important looking parchments before him. The Earl of Redvane, he lived
outside the village and
Tesarik One: often came within to have a drink out in public since Deepwood
was the largest town in his jurisdiction.
Lord Kissekatt: An Earl? Well that'd do. He stepped right on over, and
immediately opened fire with a salvo of flattery and all that rot. Introduced
himself, of course, and then eventually got to his point! And if he got a
chance to do so without
Lord Kissekatt: getting caught, well of course he'd try and see what was on
those parchments in the meantime. Well then, after all that flattery and
introduction-making.... "At any rate, my wife and I are in town, she's rather
ill. We heard rumors
Lord Kissekatt: that a man by name of Erhine lives around here, would you
happen to know where one might find him?" (Diplomacy, using High Society
bonus of plus 5 if this counts enough as a Noble circle!)
OnlineHost: Lord Kissekatt rolled 1 20-sided die: 19
Lord Kissekatt: (19 + 1 charisma, -2 for Aloof = 18 without high society, 23
with)
Tesarik One: The parchments weren't all that interesting. He was a country
noble, he was readying his fields for the spring planting, deciding what to
grow and all, and going through his books. He listened to all the
conversation from Baldur
Tesarik One: with an air of feigned interest, though only because he'd been
interrupted from his work. He invited him to sit at his table and even bought
him a drink if he wanted one though. Then when he spoke of Erhine, he nodded
and leaned
Tesarik One: back in his chair, "Head out by the path near the granary, it's
not much more than an animal path really, not used much. When you reach the
triangular rock, go north and you'll run into his drabby little cottage."
Tesarik One: Which, was what the druids had told Bianca except they gave her
way too many landmarks of every little thing in the forest.
Lord Kissekatt: Oh he'd have a drink if it was offered, it'd be rude to not!
Whatever the good Earl was having, in fact. He'd even pretend to like it if
it wasn't something he enjoyed. Just like he was pretending to be honored to
meet the earl, and
Lord Kissekatt: pretending that this shithole of a town was worth his
interest, and not just some blot on the map that'd be just as well were it
razed. He nodded and thanked the man, finished off the drink he was given,
then stood up and offered a
Lord Kissekatt: bow of his head. "Well then, you have my thanks for the
information. Best of luck to you in all that you do." Unless it ever happens
to interfere with what I'm doing, of course. He sent the man a smile that
didn't quite reach his
Lord Kissekatt: eyes, then headed on out to go find his lovely, ill wife. He
figured it'd be convincing enough she was sick with how pale she was!
Tesarik One: Both of you roll a Gather Info Check for me and add CHA.

Lord Kissekatt: (Well...13, since it's -2 to all checks lol)
Tesarik One: Bianca happens to hear this rumor about Erhine:
Tesarik One: The one who calls himself Erhine is a truly wicked being who
traffics in blood and souls, especially those of the young and innocent. It
is not clear exactly what kind of creature this Erhine really
Tesarik One: is, but lone travelers would be well advised to steer clear of
his dwelling. Erhine lives in a cottage that seems normal enough, but it's
bigger on the inside than on the outside, and it holds untold
Tesarik One: horrors.
Tesarik One: Baldur on the other hand, finds out this information from
various informants no doubt those who overhead him talking in the tavern:
Tesarik One: Erhine is a crazy old coot, but he's actually harmless. He
spends too much time with plants and animals, and he'll talk your ears off if
you give him the slightest encouragement. He's a friend to the
Tesarik One: creatures of the forest, however, and anyone who does him wrong
doesn't stand much chance of ever leaving the area alive. Erhine's cottage is
actually an extradimensional crossroads, and Erhine is
Tesarik One: some sort of toll keeper and planar tour guide. You can go just
about anywhere right from his front parlor.
Iady kissekatt: Once she'd gotten her information, she clutched the small
piece of vellum which held the map, and headed back into town. Towards the
tavern, no doubt, though she did stop a few people on the road to find out
some more information if it was possible. And, the information sounded very
interesting to her! Maybe he would be worth meeting after all, for more than
just the knowledge he had. She went hunting her beloved husband.
Lord Kissekatt: Well, that was a good nugget of info he got. Good to know he
probably shouldn't be shooting at any stray forest birds that got in his
path. He kept that as well as the directions in mind, and sniffed at the air
a bit, searching for
Lord Kissekatt: Bianca's scent. He didn't have the best nose, particularly
for a cat, but he'd been around her long enough that he could pick hers out
when she got a bit closer, and he moved to meet up with her! "Well I received
directions and
Lord Kissekatt: drunken rumors. How went your search?"
Iady kissekatt: "The druids were helpful, as I told them that I was in
desperate need of the healing herbs that this man has." She showed him the
map, with all the little markers on it, where streams were, a big oak, that
triangular rock, a copse of elm trees, and all the other silly stuff the
druids had to tell her about the trail. "I also heard that he's not so
nice... wicked in fact...some sort of devil man that traffics blood and
souls." She giggled at that, her eyes glimmering with her own wickedness. "I
hope it's true."
Lord Kissekatt: He looked at the map briefly, committing it to memory with
his ridiculous memory skill and nodded a bit. "Well you got a much more
detailed map than I did directions, but I see the same marker I was given, at
least." He lifted a
Lord Kissekatt: brow at the rumor that the man was some sort of wicked cur,
then gave her shoulder a little squeeze. "Well I hadn't heard that, I heard
that he's crazy, but harmless unless you get on his bad side, at which point
he turns very
Lord Kissekatt: dangerous. I suppose the only way to find out for sure is to
go meet him, hm?"
Iady kissekatt: "Shall we make haste, then?" She smirked, and offered her
arm to him. With her other, she stared down at the map and then looked around
the village, until she began heading in the direction they needed to go.
Hopefully the path would not prove difficult to find! "Crazy and harmless
unless you get on his bad side...that sounds like any number of people I
know."
Tesarik One: Roll a Spot

Iady kissekatt: She was apparently too busy looking at her handsome devil of
a husband to know where the hell she was going.
Tesarik One: Baldur easily finds the animal trail near the granary that
leads them into the forest. The trail isn't that easy to keep up with, mainly
because the forest is all cleared out, not lots of vegetation to make trails
through. But, not
Tesarik One: impossible. All the little markers that the druids had said
would be found, and they'd reach the big rock as well, and be able to head
towar
Tesarik One: towards* the cottage.
Lord Kissekatt: It was okay, he was paying enough attention for two people!
He spotted the trail and followed along it, staying focused on it so he
didn't lose it. And eventually there was the big rock! He debated stringing
his bow just in case
Lord Kissekatt: they ran into hostility at or on the way to the cottage, but
decided against it. It didn't take that long to do if needed, and if it
wasn't ready to fire then maybe he'd seem less threatening and they'd have
less chance of getting
Lord Kissekatt: attacked! So, unless he was stopped, it was the way to the
cottage for him!
Iady kissekatt: Onwards she went, along the little path, staring at her map
every now and again. She was looking too much at the map than the path it
seemed, but Baldur had a good head on his shoulders and she just followed
along with him. At the rock, she stared upwards, then around just making sure
she knew where she was, and turned direction so they could keep moving.
Tesarik One: The forest opens a bit here to form a glade sheltered by
massive oak trees. A rambling cottage stands under the oaks. Its main section
features very tall gables and lower wings on either side. The
Tesarik One: thatched roofs look oddly pale and shiny, as though covered
with hoarfrost. Slim crystalline forms dangle from the eaves, looking like
tiny icicles. That's odd, because the day seems comfortably warm for
Tesarik One: a winter day, and there is no snow or frost in the area.
Tesarik One: The cottage has half-timbered walls, with shutters and a front
door painted bright green. Though the windows are at a height appropriate for
creatures of about human size, the front door looks
Tesarik One: massive. It's easily tall and wide enough to allow an ogre to
enter without squeezing or stooping.
Tesarik One: A thick hedge with a gate of wrought iron surrounds the
cottage. The view through the gate shows neatly trimmed gardens filled with
flowers, herbs, and winter vegetables.
Iady kissekatt: And there it was, the cottage of the reclusive man they
sought. The shiny stuff on the roof was odd, it really wasn't cold enough for
icicles and snow on the roof since it was nowhere else. "Now what do you
think that is?" She tilted her head as she whispered to Baldur, then
approached the gate.
Lord Kissekatt: "Hm. That's a good question. The people at the tavern said
his cottage is..." He closed his eyes for a moment, thinking back, and
repeated it word for word. "An extradimensional crossroads, and Erhine is
some sort of toll keeper and
Lord Kissekatt: planar tour guide. You can go just about anywhere right from
his front parlor." He snapped out of memory mode, then shrugged. "Perhaps
that has something to do with it?"
Iady kissekatt: "Perhaps." She tried the gate, and if it wasn't locked or
anything that would force her to hop over it, she walked into the garden and
approached the house quite fearlessly!
Tesarik One: There's a sweet scent coming from cottage, but the smell is too
cloying to be pleasant. A thick cloud of flying insects hovers over the
cottage roof. Thousands of buzzing wings combine to create a
Tesarik One: throbbing drone. The gate is unlocked, and upon getting closer
to the cottage, it's easily noted that the sticky stuff on the roof is cake
frosting.
Iady kissekatt: "...." She wondered for a moment if there was an old woman
here that would bake them in an oven for dinner, but that made her snicker.
She reached up and grabbed some of the frosting on her finger and tasted it,
then shrugged. "I suppose we've seen stranger things. Not the best roofing
material, look at all the disgusting bugs." She knocked on the door.
Lord Kissekatt: Well at least they were insects. Insects were one thing to
deal with, if they were birds, no. He'd just have to leave. He lifted a brow
when he noted that the damned cottage was frosted, then wrinkled his nose. It
really wasn't
Lord Kissekatt: pleasant, but oh well! He'd done a lot of unpleasant things.
He decided not to taste some himself, however, his wife was the crazy one
after all! "Fair point. I wouldn't imagine it'd hold up well under rain or
snow either."
Tesarik One: The door opened, and a cheery looking old graybeard man stepped
out onto the front step. "Well hello!" It was then he caught sight of his
roof, and the "icicles". A big wolf came up beside him, sniffing towards the
two of them and
Tesarik One: he put his hand on the wolf's head. There was a caw behind
them, and a raven flew out of an open window and circled above the cottage,
then found a high branch to roost upon.
Tesarik One: "Drat those girls!" he cries, gazing at the sticky-sweet mess
on top of his cottage. "Give them a simple task, and what do you get?
Frosting! 'Fix the roof,' I said. I should have remembered how
Tesarik One: precise you have to be when you talk their kind. They'll do
anything to crock your request." He pauses a moment to gather a fingerful of
the frosting and taste it experimentally. "Not bad, but they could
Tesarik One: at least have made it chocolate," he says. "I'll fix their
wagons, never fear." He snapped, and his two apprentices appeared in the
garden with them. They were both tall, the one with blonde curls was
Tesarik One: a little over six feet, and the other had light blue hair and
silver eyes, she was a little shorter. They had their hands over their
mouths, giggling.
Iady kissekatt: She was still doing that whole hiding being evil thing, just
in case this man was not a soul-steeling, blood-drinking evil wicked man as
she'd heard. She smiled as he opened the door, and her gaze fell upon the
wolf, then when the raven cawed she reached out to slide her hand upon
Baldur's and watched the raven soar and land with a bit of jealousy, she
wanted to fly now too! She looked back to the man, figuring poor Baldur was
not going to be ready to talk for a few moments, "Greetings. Are you
Erhine...?" But then he saw the frosting and went on his tirade which ended
Iady kissekatt: with two girls appearing, two very naughty girls it seemed.
Bianca raised a brow and kept squeezing her husband's hand.
Tesarik One: The two girls were daughters of a djinn, so they were tricksy!
They lowered their hands and bowed slightly towards Bianca and Baldur, then
glanced to their teacher with big grins on their lovely faces.

Lord Kissekatt: Well...he was about to say something when he heard that caw,
and which point he flinched. And then that raven flew out of the window and
boom. Chain rection time? Maybe. He immediately turned into his cat form and
scampered away
Lord Kissekatt: from that raven, ran right into the wall of the cottage in
the process, then turned and flattened his ears, bared his teeth, and let out
a hiss at the raven. (Save vs. phobia failed)
Iady kissekatt: Oh lord, as he turned into his pussycat form, she gave a
little gasp and skittered to the side, towards the two djinni-girls! (Phobia

OnlineHost: Iady kissekatt rolled 1 20-sided die: 17
Iady kissekatt: (Save Passed - Shaken but does not run off.)
Lord Kissekatt: He was crouched down like he was ready to pounce on that
raven if it looked at him funny, but in all actuality he'd run as far and as
fast as he could if it so much as fluttered its wings at him. He hissed again
for good measure.
Iady kissekatt: "Good fucking gods!" She exclaimed as Baldur ran off and she
nearly bumped into the massive girls... well, she was a thin, tiny thing so
they seemed massive to her. One hand clamped over her mouth, but she did not
go running into the forest like she felt she nearly wanted to. She caught her
breath and looked back over towards Erhine... if it was Erhine. "You are
Erhine?" She was still shaky, and her voice echoed that feeling.
Tesarik One: "Miatrix!" Erhine yelled up at the raven, and the raven cawed
down to him and then took to the skies again, disappearing across the
treetops. Erhine looked over at the kitty, then to Bianca. "Yes, I'm Erhine.
And these ladies are my
Tesarik One: apprentices..." He glared at them a moment, then grinned,
"Arietisa, and Procyonai. Shall we head inside for some tea and cakes?" He
glanced up a the roof again when he said that, and frowned, but then turned
and disappeared into
Tesarik One: the house, along with his wolf.
Lord Kissekatt: He glared at the bird when it flew off, then slowly lifted
his head, all trembling. He stayed low, as if prepared to bolt again if it
came back, but then he got distracted somewhat by the conversation. As soon
as they were invited
Lord Kissekatt: in, he leapt back onto the porch and darted right between
someone's legs as fast as possible, a little fluffy bolt of lightning, he
was! Into the house he went, looking around for more of those terrible
terrible birds, but
Lord Kissekatt: eventually he shifted back to his human form and coughed
once, then brushed himself off a bit, looking for all the world like he
hadn't just panicked.
Tesarik One: The wolf nudged Erhine's hand and Erhine chuckled and pet him,
"And this is Sirus." There were no more birds in the house. Erhine moved to
a fine little chair by the hearth and lowered himself into it, and the girls
headed off to
Tesarik One: fetch tea and teacakes. "Have a seat, and tell me what brings
you to my home?" He tried to not give too much attention to the poor cat
turned noble, as he was a kind man at heart and knew the man must be
embarassed!
Lord Kissekatt: Of course he wasn't embarassed, he was playing it off much
like a cat would. He meant to do every bit of it, including running smack
into the wall. He adjusted his clothing a bit to make sure everything was
impeccable, then moved to
Lord Kissekatt: where the offered seats were to sit himself down. "Thank you
for inviting us in. My name is Baldur Kissekatt, the First Baron Kissekatt of
Doxenia. This is my wife, Bianca." Said with a gesture towards her, of
course! "I do not wish
Lord Kissekatt: anything of you in particular at this time, I merely heard
some rumors, and thought it wise to see if they were true or not, and also to
simply make your acquaintance."
Iady kissekatt: She was not so nice, and while she loved her husband dearly,
she couldn't help but laugh softly as he shifted and coughed, then tried to
look so nonchalant. She headed for a chair and sat down, crossing her legs.
This time it was Baldur's turn to speak, and tell the man exactly what was
needed from him. She nodded when she was introduced.
Tesarik One: "The Baron and Baroness Kissekatt, of Doxenia. Ahh yes, I have
heard of you. You've raised yourself up in the world. Commendable, being that
so many of the noble families of this world have had that position for
generation after
Tesarik One: generation and their children grow more snobbish and vapid with
every new lineage. I've been to Doxenia many times, mostly visiting Westby. I
have friends there, the Duke and Duchess Hastings. There is a candy shop in
Westby that
Tesarik One: serves the finest caramels you've ever tasted. Have you ever
been there? It is in the Weir, near the Journeyman's Emporium I believe..."
He surely could talk. He'd talk their ears off. But, alas, tea arrived and
the ladies passed
Tesarik One: out teacups and a plate of cakes, and he was too busy eating
and drinking to keep talking for now.
Lord Kissekatt: Hell, it was probably Windy and Vixen's candy shop if the
caramels were that good! He let he first bit of speech go right on without
comment, since a bit of flattery was always nice. "Thank you fo-" And then he
just kept talking! He
Lord Kissekatt: nodded in response to the candy shop comment, he most
certainly had been there at least once. He'd been just about everywhere in
Doxenia at least once! And then he shut up! He took his own cup of tea and
sniffed at it briefly before
Lord Kissekatt: having a sip, and then he took the opportunity to speak.
"Well, if you've quality friends such as the Duke and Duchess Hastings, I do
hope you might not be opposed to count us among your friends as well. You
seem a jovial fellow."
Lord Kissekatt: Which was not at all the sort of friend he'd normally want
to have, but this man was at least well connected in Doxenia! That alone was
reason enough to befriend him.
Iady kissekatt: She was surprised he knew of them, maybe the rumors were
true and he did know much information. She smiled, and then took the offered
tea and a teacake, and nibbled at it, and sipped her tea. The man did like to
talk it seemed, but she'd been to a candy shop in Westby that had marvelous
candies herself! She'd stolen a purse full of the candies.
Tesarik One: "Ye Olde Candy Shoppe, that's what it's called," He said
between bites. "Mmm. The brothel there in town has this wondrous exotic
woman. Expensive as far as whores go, but my god she knows positions I did
not know were possible!" The
Tesarik One: two apprentices giggled and shook their heads, and took seats
at a table in the room and began to play a game that looked much like chess.
The wolf curled up at the man's feet. "Ah yes, quality friends. I have
friends that are
Tesarik One: quality, and not so much quality as well. Sometimes the less
than quality friends are far more interesting, yes?" He laughed happily and
took another bite of cake. "I'd be delighted to count you as friends, and if
there is ever
Tesarik One: anything I can do for you, you'll just need to let me know."
Tesarik One: --- Baldur and Bianca have made a contact. Erhine will, on
occasion, contact them via sending spells to find out what they are doing,
where they are, and if there is anything he can do for them. He has extensive
knowledge in the
Tesarik One: history of all the lands, as well as the current news of both
this plane, and other planes of existence. He is a high level Mage. If he
does not know the answer, he knows where to look or who to ask. --
Lord Kissekatt: Hurray!
Iady kissekatt: "Thank you, sir. We are honored to be counted among your
friends and if there is anything we can do for you, I do hope you'd contact
us and ask." She was being just as cordial and nice as she possibly could,
though she got the feeling from the man that even had she acted her normal
self, he'd have liked them just the same.
Tesarik One: LOG OFF!

Would you
have any idea how to point me in the direction of his home?" (Diplomacy)

people would be hiding, if there were any around. (Knowledge: Local? Using
Cosmopolitan for the +5 since he doesn't have that skill, if that works.)
Tesarik One: Well, sucky as 6 was....she passed. And, the druids did know
where Erhine's cottage was, and even drew her out a little map.

"Crazy and harmless
unless you get on his bad side...that sounds like any number of people I
know."

They lowered their hands and bowed slightly towards Bianca and Baldur, then
glanced to their teacher with big grins on their lovely faces.

scampered away
Lord Kissekatt: from that raven, ran right into the wall of the cottage in
the process, then turned and flattened his ears, bared his teeth, and let out
a hiss at the raven. (Save vs. phobia failed)

for good measure.
