scales change: Diversions provided by the Man of the Dark Cloth took far
more planning and manipulation than Kythin felt necessary, his opinions on
the matter mattered little. Such had led to a week's time spent taking up a
room at the Letters Inn
scales change: by the self-proclaimed 'disgraced Squire', the establishment
in the markets lacked something.. yet served its purposes for the infrequent
meetings with the Priest or Morgan. Nothing stopped Kythin from taking
healthy respite from
scales change: rage-inducing matters that now had the Wrathful young man
enjoying the cold evening air immediately outside the Obsidian Heart Inne.
Just as with any place away from those he knew.. the mask was up, the facade
of the Squire with the
scales change: far from charming personality the bit of armor to ward of the
opposition. " That bitch should have been here hours ago. " Not often the
Gypsy missed the chance to humilate and rile him.. the grudge an ever growing
one.-d
Tesarik One: As per usual, Annika had found her prey and stalked him from
atop the roofs of Navahla. Creeping along in as much silence as possible,
with only a glint of metal every now and again when the moonlight hit her
weapon, she moved
Tesarik One: swiftly climbing, jumping, scaling and creeping along. She was
quite astute in the way of travel upon the roofs (Shingle Runner & Native
Terrain: City) as she'd been raised in an urban environment and had been
traveling the roofs
Tesarik One: since the changeling was old enough to go out on her own. She
was in her normal form tonight, not knowing the man well enough to take on
the guise of someone he knew nor did she know what type of woman he preferred
so she had
Tesarik One: decided to simply be herself. Long white hair, incredibly
skinny, black eyes with dark circles around them and pale, alabaster skin she
was a small, slender thing at 5'1" tall. When he'd arrived outside of the OH
Inne, she grinned
Tesarik One: and pulled an arrow out of her quiver, and tugged back the
string of her swordbow, in bow form now of course, and the arrow was shot,
whizzing right past his head and sinking into the closest wall.
Ashton Locke: Good thing Annika didn't bump into Ashton, he was lurking
about on those same rooftops, all stealthily of course. He was often doing
so, because he liked to have an idea what was going on. Sneaky spying! If
Runik was going to do it
Ashton Locke: to them, he was going to do it right back.
scales change: There just wasn't any missing the sound of that arrow sinking
into the exterior wall of the inne. Immediately cautious Kythin quickly
pushed away from the wall to leave himself in the darkness. A hand soon
regained some contact with
scales change: the wall of the inne, his agitation brought to mind an image
of Violet trying to rile him up like this.. but the use of a bow didn't fit
her methods. A simple realization like that just left the pale-haired and
steel-eyed 'Squire'
scales change: seeking out the archer. All that meant to Kythin.. was
finding the culprit.. leading up to the natural want for higher ground. If
minstrel's could be made to fall, assisted by a little stone-throwing on his
part, from the inne's
scales change: roof, then he could damn well climb his way up it. he started
with the wall he touched then.. finding what finger and footholds he could
provided the windows provided just that much of something to grab on to.. and
earn his way up
scales change: to the roof - Tenebrous forbid someone opened a window at a
time like this.. not that he was adverse to taking shelter in the inne
instead.. but earing the ire of its personell was..an unwise thing to
accidentally acquire. -d
Tesarik One: Seeing the man begin to climb the inne, she stayed on the
rooftop she was on across from the inne. The inne itself was pretty damn
tall, it was far easier for her to sit on her knees and watch from across the
street. A grin formed
Tesarik One: upon pale pink lips as she quickly pulled another arrow from
her quiver and aimed at the man climbing the building. She pulled the
bowstring back, then released the arrow so that it hit and sank into the wood
and plaster of the inne
Tesarik One: right above his head. Then she stood, a white figure probably
looking like an apparation for not only was her skin pale, her hair white,
but her spidersilk armor that covered her was white as well. She waved to the
man with a grin,
Tesarik One: not hiding she'd been the one shooting at him at all.
scales change: Nothing like the feeling you were being hunted to get the
blood pumping, which as it played out felt an awful lot like how the man
holding on to the wood and plaster of the inne...while stiffening, his grasp
tightening, when another
scales change: arrow hit.. close enough that even human eyes could see how
close it had come! The sole benefit in his eyes came in the form of his steel
eyes seeking out the archer responsible - and this time he found her.. all
clad in white .. a
scales change: complete anti-thesis in his mind...disregarding the wisdom of
The Shadow that Was with such.. an obvious choice of attire. He liked her
already..but it didn't stop his want for vengence from taking hold now that
he knew where she
scales change: was. There would be no getting to her from the Inne's
rooftop.. and little enough reason to make himself a more obvious target.
Turned out.. agitation could all too easily override intelligence and good
sense alike. Choosing the
scales change: more flashy and speed-worthy method of an acrobatic removal
of himself from that wall, leaving Kythin to land on his feet after that
choice of dismount..leaving the crimson clad one to make the almost casual
stroll over to the build
scales change: ing the White Archer stood upon.. and whether she could see
it from her viewpoint or not.. oh, he was smiling.. the mask was on..wore
over the simmering emotions beneath the skin. " Nice shot.. " Complimentry ..
she'd not been shoot
scales change: ing to kill.. that was worthy of keeping the mask up. " Now
just what was important enough to get my attention like that!? " -d
Tesarik One: When he flipped off the building and made his way over to her
building across the street, she grinned and a white booted foot rose to sit
upon the edge of the building as she looked down and over at him. She really
didn't want to
Tesarik One: discuss her business so out in the open like this, so her
swordbow was put on her back and she began to climb down the building,
hitting all the good finger and foot holds with more ease than the fey
creature really should have. She
Tesarik One: could 'walk the walls' and was very 'acrobatic' as far as
skills go, so it wasn't long before she too flipped off the building and
landed with a soft thud in front of the man. She blew her wispy white hair
out of her eyes and looked
Tesarik One: up at him. Most times she was in her natural form, she was
perceived as a child, but she was not using that ability tonight. She leaned
back against the wall, the sole of one foot pressing to the building as she
looked him over,
Tesarik One: then eyes returned to his face. "Hello, darling. I got your
attention for a reason....yes...." She winked and tilted her head, not quite
forthcoming yet on what she wanted.
scales change: This White Archer .. from the acrobatics to the mannerisms
reminded him of something that left him to bite down on the inside of his
cheek until the pain and coppery taste of blood gave a way to ignore them. "
And you want to go
scales change: someplace less noticeable to discuss it? " Just the sort of
way he expected an operative of the Man of Dark Cloth to address him..but the
utter lack of their methodology and obvious attire told him she was anything
but an operative.
scales change: She at least earned more patience than wrath, his arms
crossing at his chest rather than get a hand to his sword. -d
Tesarik One: "I think that sounds like a great idea." She pushed from the
building and turned, moving into the alleyway beside the building she'd
climbed. She glanced over her shoulder to make sure he was following, already
allowing her Aura of
Tesarik One: Lust, such a handy thing, to flitter about her making her seem
quite a bit more desirable than she'd be otherwise. Once in the darkness of
the alley, she leaned against the wall again and plucked a letter out of the
front of her
Tesarik One: silken armor, marked in wax with the sigil of the Runik
criminal organization, he might know it if he was at all knowledgeable about
the underworld of the kingdoms. "I've been asked to deliver a message to you,
and I do hope that
Tesarik One: you at least consider what it says." She held it out, but very
close to her, trying to get him to come in closer to her to take it from her.
scales change: Didn't take much to make her stand out as desirable, if only
by virtue of similiarity to someone else whether she intended it or not. His
wrath eased in the mean time, his feet setting the man to fall easily into
line on the way to
scales change: the alley. Taking the sight of her now that there was time
to much more properly look her over did bring that wax sigil to his
notice..yet there just wasn't any recognition. When she offered that letter,
he came closer to take it..
scales change: arms falling from his chest..one for the letter and the other
to hover near the hilt of his sword. Soon as he had the letter in hand the
curiousity to see just what this was about would prove enough to open, even
read it in full..
scales change: as long as it was in common.. she did not look the sort to be
delievering a message from anyone he knew. -d
Tesarik One: As he took the note and broke the seal to read it, she nestled
up closer to him and reached out, resting a hand upon his upper arm. Such an
odd feeling would occur when she touched him - if he let her touch him - for
she was using
Tesarik One: one of her Charmer abilities that made it feel as if she were
caressing far more intimate areas of his body. Command Pleasure Zones to be
specific, and while he read she slid her soft white fingertips up and down
his arm. The letter
Tesarik One: itself was not very long, and was an invitation for him to join
the organization, Runik, promising him wealth and power and an opportunity to
grow, as there was a whole hierarchy in the wide spread organization.
Tesarik One: /d
scales change: The letter reeled Kythin in at the promise of wealth and
power, his ambitions were too great for the much too limited advancement he
could find in the faith's heirarchy. Never did the problem shake his faith,

seeking oppurtunity. And the oppurtunities spawned in his imagination alone
were almost enough to leave the closeness of the Archer and her intimate
touch up and down his

really needed out of him for her mission. Closer still came the amibitious
warrior of his faith, head lowering to her ear.. to provide her his answer...
scales change: and savor the closeness the fey charmer succeded in bringing
to ..no doubt seduce him to making a decision in her organization's favor..
needed or not. " Tell your superiors, I've decided to take their invitation..
" How could he
scales change: not take the offer that only served to help the mission his
true loyalties had already set in stone? The oppurtunity..was just too good
to pass up. -d
scales change: take up their invitation they've graciously extended.*
scales change: ][.... this not their.
Tesarik One: She continued to caress his arm, though when he lowered his
head to whisper she stepped in even closer, pressing her frail body against
his and sliding the hand that had been caressing his arm around his waist to
rest her palm upon
Tesarik One: the top of his rear. At his words, she grinned and looked
upwards at him, then leaned in to press a kiss to his cheek. "My superiors
will be most happy about this decision, and I'm sure you will be contacted
soon with your first
Tesarik One: orders. For now, do not tell Maria or anyone within the
Obsidian Heart of our meeting, unless you wish to cause havoc and tell them I
attempted to hurt you, or recruit you and you denied me...us... I leave that
in your hands,
Tesarik One: my dear Kythin. Perhaps we will meet again, and will be able to
discuss things a bit more...intimately. My name is Annika, for now, though, I
must take this information to those that matter." She stepped away, gave him
a wink, then
Tesarik One: turned and ran towards the opposite building in the alley and
near walked up the side of the wall before grabbing a windowsill and
scurrying upwards, her entire body going invisible before she even reached
the top.
Tesarik One: /d
scales change: Acquiring Kythin's services came easily it would seem, how
much of that ease came from Annika's persuasion and the layer of apparent
intimacy she wove around the brief meeting and how much was his ambitions
leading where his mind
scales change: may well have not been quite as willing to go. His acceptance
it seemed came with the more immediate reward of a kiss..hardly promising, if
only compared to the much more so tone of her words. " Perhaps we will.. , I
suspect you
scales change: will know where to find me should you wish to ..discuss
things. " Truly the fact she knew his name came off much more worrisome than
anything else. It meant the organization knew a good deal.. forunately unless
they possessed ties
scales change: to the faithful, they'd not know more than they could
overhear and observe. Kythin took a step back when she stepped away, grinning
in response to that wink in a way that spoke of his youth just as much as his
agreement with seeming
scales change: -ly little thought behind it. At the very least.. Annika did

she disappeared pre-maturely from his vision. This..could truly be a
