Tesarik One: Log On
Tesarik One: Mission: Feld Kirk's Secret
Tesarik One: All mission rules and regs apply. So, go ahead and list your
name, rank, dice, hit points, and DC - and if you are a healer, list your
heal points.
a vision bereft: Joelle Petrov, Amber Marshal, 2d56, 31hp, DC15, 14healpts
a merciful edge: Kyle, Amber Defender, 2d48, 27hp, DC17
Tesarik One: It was a case of missing teenagers, but it wasn't as bad as it could have been perhaps, because one lone teenager had made it back to town
frightened out of his wits, and was able to tell the parents exactly where
he'd left the others. Feld Kirk, outside the town of Feld. This kirkyard was
quite famous as some rumors held that the many graveyards and crypts held
passages all the way to the Underdark. One crypt in particular seemed to be a
rite of passage for the children of Feld - spend the night in the crypt of a
young girl that had died ages ago, said to be haunted by her spirit, and you
had 'arrived' and held respect of the other kids. So, another group of kids
had traveled out to the kirk and planned on staying in the crypt overnight...but something was different this time. The boy had barely gotten away, scratched down his right arm and what looked to be a bite taken out of his upper arm. He was running a fever, and had only managed to tell them which crypt, before he became delirious with illness. The Crypt of Sophia Mewes. Right in the center of the graveyard. Who got called when monsters might be involved? Why the Obsidian Heart, and Maria had scrambled to find a few adventurers willing to quickly ride out to Feld and find the kids!
a merciful edge: Was better than the Ghostbusters, because they had more
swords. Kyle of course was itching to go show off a bit more, so he'd signed
up happily when something came up, and of course went to see if Elle would be
so kind as to accompany him! Going off alone would ruin the whole point
of showing off, after all. Not to mention the whole being sad if not spending
time with her thing! She had pretty much saved him from dying of starvation,
after all, he was feeling slightly indebted to her for that, not to mention
attached due to the whole enjoying spending time with her thing. She was his
adventuring companion, too!
a vision bereft: It had been lucky that the gypsy had been at the inne, as
she tended to sleep at camp rather than at the inne these days but she was
here and had heard of the poor kids who needed to be found from Kyle. She was
definitely interested, she had a soft spot for kids - well she had a soft
spot for a lot of things! She readied herself, her shawm poking out of her
backpack and her daggers ready to be pulled if needed. She'd leave the pups
with Maria, and Padric was ready to go along with the horse that Kyle would be using, and she had a map given to her by Maria to show just where to go. She had gotten the info and was now outside, tugging herself up into the saddle. She waited for Kyle and gave him a soft smile, it had been a little while since they'd adventured together. "Ready when you are."
a merciful edge: Yay, borrowed horses. At least he had been feeling up to
riding a horse that wouldn't slow their entire trip down. And he hadn't
realized quite how much he missed her! It was depressing, not seeing her as
much as he used to. He wasn't going to bring up that downer of a discussion topic, however. He just got himself readied on his sword, cloak on and sword on his back, as usual, and he nodded to her with a little smile. "Ready. Feel free to lead on!"
a vision bereft: Well his was borrowed, Padric was Elle's horse she owned.
She had no idea he was sad about not seeing her, since he never said
anything! Maybe if he'd tell her sometime, she'd stay around more. She did
worry about him a lot, and miss him too, he was one of the few people that
she considered close. She nodded to his words, and tugged on the reins to
head through the city and to the gates that would take them on
the road to Feld. Once outside the gates, she grinned playfully over to him
as she dug her heels in. "Bet I can make it to the bend in the road before
you!" And Padric took off in a stir of dust.
a merciful edge: Andy knew that, he was referring to Kyle always having a
borrowed horse! He didn't always take the same one! Anyway. He rode along
with her out of the city and blinked at her challenge, then called out after
her. "I'm not taking that bet, as I know you will!" He chuckled a bit, and then let some slack in the reins and gave his own horse a good nudge of the heels to get it moving faster. There was no way Unnamed NPH was going to beat
Padric, though!
a vision bereft: "Whoa, whoa there Paddy." She laughed as she pulled in
Padric to not run so very fast, but she certainly wasn't going to let him
win. She knew she had the advantage, but she was still a kid for the most
part, she liked to have fun. As they reached the bend in the road, the road
stretched before them through fields and rocky lands along the edge of Pincer
Lake. Poor Elle, she hated water like that ,so she was trying to find anything at all to take her mind off the lake in sight while they traveled the relatively short distance to Feld on the edge of the mountains and within view of the lake. They'd get to the big graveyard first, Feld Kirk. The road led right beside it, with a huge iron gate proclaiming it's name - the kirk itself extended over a large area of rocky and untamed ground. She pulled Padric to a halt outside of the gates. "Well this looks inviting." She frowned.
a merciful edge: He glanced over to the lake once they'd hit the bend in the
road, and decided to shift his horse over to the other side of hers so he'd
be between her and the lake! Ought to help her feel at least a little more
comfortable, right? And then, well...it'd probably just be idle chit chat as
they rode along, unless she didn't feel like talking, catching up and all
that. And then they got to the kirk! He eyed the graveyard and wrinkled his
nose a bit and drew his own horse to stopping, then hopped off, all too happy to not be mounted. He really wasn't much of a rider. "Well, it could be worse,
there could be monsters actively out and about trying to kill us, I suppose."
Tesarik One: It was nearing mid-day. The kids had been missing since the
night before. In daylight, the area didn't look quite as foreboding and
creepy as it did at night, but it still was a virtual town of crypts and
above ground coffins, and every type of marker they could imagine from hand made wooden crosses, to gravestones, to statues of all sorts. It would be quite easy to see the crypt in the center of the graveyard, because it sat just a little higher than all the others around it and was made of a smooth, gleaming white marble that when they got close enough, they'd make out carved along the front facade, "Sophia Mewes. Our Darling Daughter, taken into the Shadows too soon."
a vision bereft: She very much appreciated him getting between her and the
lake, she really didn't know why she had such a fierce fright of deep water,
but she'd been that way for quite a many years. She breathed easier, and gave
him a gentle smile, her gaze saying thank you even if she did not speak it.
She dismounted from the horse and tied the reins to the fence and looked
around. "That is true. There is still time though." She tugged her pack off
the saddle and slid it over her shoulders. She pointed towards the white crypt. "From what Maria said, I'm going to guess that's our destination."
a merciful edge: Graveyards didn't unsettle him as much as they probably did
some people, but when one had dealt with death as long as he had, that was
probably to be expected. That smile earlier had been returned, of course,
along with a small nod!Anyhow. He tied up his horse as well and gave it a pat
along the mane, then eyed the graveyeard a bit more, spotting the crypt right
as she pointed to it. He nodded, then moved his hand up to shift his sword a
bit out of the sheath before sliding it back, just making sure it wasn't stuck. As always, it was not! "Alright, well..nothing to be gained from standing about all nervous about it, I suppose." And into the graveyard he went! At least they had plenty of undead training now, right??
a vision bereft: She decided to pull out a sunrod for when they got to the
crypt instead of bringing along her lantern, and made sure she pulled it out
and tucked it into the inside pocket of her cloak. She chewed on her bottom
lip a moment, then when Kyle began to move for the crypt she moved along with
him. "True." And yes they did have some experience, always a good thing! She
glanced around as she walked a little back from Kyle, making sure there was
nothing that would sneak up behind them as they made their way to the crypt.
Tesarik One: The door to the crypt was pushed halfway open, and there was
light inside the antechamber from the beautiful stained glass windows on
either side of the chamber. The stained glass looked like a garden of roses
and a big bright sunshine, with white clouds in the sky creating an array of
colors upon the white marble inside the antechamber. There was nothing in
this area except the stained glass, white marble, and engravings in the wall
telling of the life of the little girl. The door at the end of the antechamber was cracked open just a little.
a merciful edge: And assuming nothing happened on their way to the crypt,
he'd draw his sword before stepping in, just in case quarters were a bit
closer than he liked. He could do plenty of fancy thrusting moves once in,
but that wouldn't do him a lick of good if it was too narrow or short to draw the weapon properly once they were inside! And then in they went! He proceeded
cautiously of course, since he wasn't an idiot, and had a brief look around,
taking a brief moment to glance at those engravings, and then he made his way to the door at the end and nudged his foot into the crack to either push or pull it open further, whichever way it happened to swing.
a vision bereft: "This is beautiful, for a grave, I suppose. I cannot
imagine how hard it must be to lose a child." She said very softly as she
followed him into the antechamber and had a glance around, even reading some
of the carved words on the wall as she moved. But, with nothing to be seen
here, they were forced to go deeper into the crypt. She struck her sunrod on
the wall, allowing it to light up, and held it in front of her as she
approached the back of the chamber and the door that Kyle was nudging
open.
Tesarik One: The door swung inside, so when nudged it would slide for a
little bit, enough for him to squeeze through....but no further. Something
was blocking it from opening completely. As soon as Kyle stepped into the
dark area, he'd feel something a bit slippery on the ground - blood. Most of it had dried by now but there was just so much that it was still pretty slick. There was also a lantern that could be made out from the light in the antechamber, on it's side, it's oil spilled as well.
a merciful edge: He did note to expect something when he felt that door not
opening all the way, and stopped before squeezing through. He really should
invest in some supplies! Right hand was held back to her. "Can I borrow the
light for a moment?"
a vision bereft: "Mmhm." She offered him the sunrod, and stayed behind him,
reaching out to place the flat of one hand against his lower back as she
peered in over his shoulder.
a merciful edge: And he'd of course agreed that it would be a horrible thing
indeed to lose a child! He didn't even care to think too much about it,
really. At any rate, when she handed over the sunrod he shifted so that arm
was going in first, then peeked around the door to try and figure out what was
blocking it before moving all the way through.
Tesarik One: It was a dead body blocking the door, exsanguinated due to the excessive chewing upon the flesh. It was a teenage tow headed boy, eyes wide and mouth grimaced into pain as if he'd been eaten alive. Which he had been.
a vision bereft: "What...what is it?" She whispered, as he peeked around and
then stepped inside. She followed, immediately feeling the sticky slickness
on the floor. She grabbed the edge of the entry and glanced around to see
what she could make out from the sunrod since she didn't have darksight or
anything fancy like that.
a merciful edge: He frowned upon seeing that, then held the sunrod back to
her. "I don't recommend examining what's behind the door if you want to
maintain a pleasant image of this place." He moved through then! And was
careful not to slip on the blood.
a vision bereft: "There is blood all over the floor. My image is already
tainted." But, she stepped in and did not look behind the door, her heart
would have broken into pieces to see that. She stepped fully inside though,
holding the sunrod up to see what else could be seen in here. "Two teenagers.
A girl and a boy. There's not really a whole lot of hiding places in here."
Tesarik One: Once inside this area, they would find they were in the tomb
proper. This area had no windows, as part of it was under ground. There were
carvings of roses, and ivy all in the white marble walls and at the far end
of the room which was about 12 feet wide, and 15 feet deep, was a marble
sarcophagus with the child's name carved on the top, along with a visage of
her sweet face looking like she was sleeping in the carving. Fresh flowers
were placed atop the coffin, though this little girl had died a very long time ago, it seemed someone still came to put flowers on the the grave. Above the
coffin was a recess covered in thick glass, inside the glass was... a doll...
about 12 inches tall, standing there wearing a lovely rust-red dress, her skin
a light tan color, blonde hair in an intricate hairstyle and eyes of soft
green stone. She had slightly pointed ears, looking a little like an elf. It
was an old tradition to bury children with their dolls, though usually it
was done IN the coffin, not in the wall like a sentinel over the child.

a merciful edge: Well he thought they'd found the boy, had they not? So it
was the girl they needed to find now. Judging by the state of the boy, he
didn't have high hopes for the girl. He had a look around and tried not to
get too creeped out over the doll!

Tesarik One: Joelle would see that one of the large marble blocks of the
crypt was pushed out of place, it wasn't lining up with all the other blocks
that made up the area.
a vision bereft: Well this just made her very sad. She eyed the coffin with
the girl's body, and then her eyes lifted to the doll as she held the sunrod
up and over to peer closer at it. "What a pretty thing. Maybe a little creepy
too." She lifted a brow, then moved around a little more using the sunrod to
light up all the corners to see what they could find interesting. And,
unfortunately spotted the chewed up body of the boy, which made her feel sick
enough to her stomach she leaned against the wall a moment and moved the
light away. "That... makes me want to cry." She sighed, then turned and
looked around a bit more, which was when she noticed one of the blocks.
She knelt down and began to move her fingers over the edge of it, then gave
it a little push. "This is out of place."
a merciful edge: "The craftsmanship is lovely." He just avoided thinking
about the creepy part of it. He followed her, since she had the light, and
frowned when she spotted that body. Free hand moved onto her shoulder and
gave it a little squeeze and rub. "I know....we can both have ourselves a good cry when we get out of here, hm?" This wasn't a good place for it! And then she found something! He moved his hand onto the block and nodded a little. "Think we ought to push it back in place or try to pull it out? Could be covering a passage."
a vision bereft: He was so sweet. She gave a nod, this was definitely not
the time or place to get all teary eyed. She leaned over and kissed his
cheek, then her attention went to the stone. "I'm not sure. Let's try pushing
it?" She gave it another shove.
Tesarik One: It pushed way too easily aside, revealing a passageway they'd have to crawl through to get into. But, something was waiting for them for as the stone pushed away, a creature lunged out of the space, knocking Elle over and tried to rip aside the material of her shirt on her shoulder to get to flesh, which it took a bite out of. a merciful edge: "Are you alright, Elle?" He looked over to her, brow

unpleasant!

something got pulled into there." She held her hand to her shoulder, and
allowed some of her own healing to heal the wound as she frowned. (2 heal)

Tesarik One: Off went the boy's head, with such force that the skull flew
across the short distance and landed with a CRACK against the glass covering
the doll, then down it went with a thud on the floor.
a vision bereft: She winced, breathing in sharply as the glass cracked over
the doll. She really didn't like all this tomb desecration especially of a
child. But, once that ghoul was down, she moved to a knee before the
passageway, then looked over at him. "Guess we're crawling."
a merciful edge: He blinked when she sent that head over to the glass and
cracked it, then wrinkled his nose. "Well, I suppose if we're desecrating
corpses we may as well defile the crypt too, hm?" Nobody ever said his jests
were well timed or in good taste! He glanced to the passageway and nodded, then glanced to the doll once more. "Never fear, I'll pay to have your glass
replaced." He sent the doll a brief salute with a flourish of his weapon,
then moved over to the passage and crouched down. "Indeed. I suppose I'll go
first." And he couldn't crawl well with his sword drawn, so he sheathed it,
then started crawling through that passage!
a vision bereft: Poor doll, and poor crypt. She nodded when he said he'd go
first, and then she went crawling behind him, still clasping that sunrod
unless he wanted it, in which case she'd have handed it over to him. On hands
and knees, she could feel the icky blood trail and wrinkled her nose. They
were going to need baths. But, adventuring usually did that.
a merciful edge: Only because Pam made them go to such filthy places!
Anyway, that's the other reason he went first, so he'd get most of that
ickiness on him and hopefully leave it a little cleaner for her passage
afterwards. He was trying not to waste much time, crawling as fast as he could since he did not like being confined!
Tesarik One: It wasn't a long crawl, maybe 20 feet. But, about 10 feet in
the stench would hit them..... death, rot, disgustingness... the smell of a
ghast, a creature far more deadly than a mere ghoul. And, they'd hear
chewing. Would they stop, or keep going??
a vision bereft: She crawled until the stench made her gag, and she stopped
trying not to throw up, one hand moving to cover her mouth and nose. She
couldn't even speak, she was just too disgusted by the smell. But if Kyle
kept crawling, she sure would too.
a merciful edge: Well he didn't come this far to stop, and the ghast needed
to be dealt with. The parents of the poor children would need to know what
happened, as well. So he pushed on, all the more motivated to end this
thing's existence! Terrible smell or no.

Tesarik One: The stench sickens you both so much that you simply cannot
fight as well. You suffer a -1 to all your rolls.
a vision bereft: So, forward, but the closer they got the sicker she got
until she could barely keep herself from throwing up and she felt like her
eyes were burning, and her stomach was rolling. She reached forward and
clasped Kyle's ankle a moment, stopping him until she could start crawling
again then she let go of him.
Tesarik One: Chewing noises got louder as they came to the end of the
passage, and when Kyle poked his head out, from the light of the sunrod he'd
make out the ghast crouched over the body of a teenage girl, eating the flesh
off of her chest, her heart in one hand, dripping. The worst thing? The girl was still moving a little, but far too gone with the paralysis to be able to
speak. She was alive. Kyle, it is up to you what happens next, whether you attack or merely show yourself.
a merciful edge: He stopped when she clasped onto his ankle, which was just
as well, he needed a moment to collect himself as well anyway. Once she let
go he started crawling again, his stomach roiling. Finally he got to the end
and stood up, feeling a bit queasy, and the sight didn't help. Well..it
actually did a bit. As soon as he noticed the poor girl was still alive it
pissed him off to the extent that he overcame that nausea long enough to dart
over and finish the poor girl off. There was no saving her, right? Her damn
heart was in the damned thing's hand. If she could miraculously be healed though, he'd stab at the ghast instead.
Tesarik One: There was no saving the girl, he'd just ripped her heart out.
a merciful edge: Andy just assumed she was done for.
a merciful edge: So yes, he'd take the poor girl's head off to spare her any
more pain.
Tesarik One: The ghast looked up and growled with it's bloody lips, dropping flesh out of it's mouth as the head was taken off the girl. He pushed the body away and rose upwards, when he moved that stench got even worse. He
swung at Kyle as his rotted teeth were shown as lips curled backwards. He slid his claws across Kyle's stomach, trying to dig into fresh, warm flesh.

ire quite easily. Not just from it's stench but it was all she could do not
to burst out in tears when she saw the girl being eaten alive. She moved in
with Kyle, as he went to let the girl out of her misery she slashed at the
ghast with her seax, trying to pull it's attention to her so that Kyle could
get a good hit in while it went after her.

a vision bereft: Hopefully! She reached over her shoulder and tugged out her
shawm, since she only needed one hand to play it how she wished, which wasn't
so much to make music as it was to send a blast of sonic energy at the
creature as she slipped it between her lips and blew hard. (Riff 2d5)

a merciful edge: He loosened up his stance a bit, as well as relaxing the

(Defense maneuver, defense DC = 20 for this round)
Tesarik One: Ghast-
Tesarik One: Despite the sonic attack upon him that rattled him enough that some of it's flesh fell off, it still had all eyes for Kyle. With a throaty growl, it slashed out at him again, trying to corner him against the wall so it could it not only scratch but bite too.

Tesarik One: Kyle 0/27 [17] || Ghast 30/27 [15] || Elle 0/31 [15] (2/14)
Tesarik One: Ghast destroyed. Combat over.
a merciful edge: "Foul beast." He took a swing to take its head off as well
so it wouldn't be getting back up, then passed his sword back to his left
hand, flourished to get ghast muck off of it, then sheathed it.
Tesarik One: All that battering of the ghast only made the stench worse in the small room, if they didn't leave soon they'd be too sick to do much more than kneel and throw up.
a vision bereft: She tucked her shawm away and knelt by the girl, giving a
shake of her head. "At least we know she will not rise as one of these
creatures." Since, her head was taken off and all! "We need to pull her body
out so the parents can bury her." She swallowed down what was rushing up, and
reached over to grab the girl's head and made for the passageway.
Tesarik One (Velvet): "Am I too late?" There was a tiny voice from the darkness of the passageway! Then, she came into view. The doll from the glass! She was a pretty little thing, embedded with silver and moonstones and long blonde hair. She didn't have a weapon but that certainly would not stop the little thing. Nor did the smell bother her, since she didn't really smell things.
a merciful edge: He nodded, then moved to the body to take it out. He felt
bad about taking her head off, but hopefully the parents would understand!
And he was about to get to the passage when he heard that tiny voice, and he
drew his sword, shifting the body to his right arm, and...blinked. And
tried not to throw up. "Yes, but can we talk about it out there?"
Tesarik One (Velvet): "Yes, of course." She moved back into the darkness of the passageway and walked herself on out, and waited for them there.
a merciful edge: And he followed along as quickly as he could while dragging
that body.
a vision bereft: She stopped suddenly hearing the voice, then blinked seeing
the doll come alive. "What...." But, she just needed to get out of her. She
knelt down and began to crawl on through with the girl's head, and finally
emerged in the burial room and placed the girl's head with the boy's body.
The parents could come claim them here she assumed, better than dragging them
out into the open and having the ravens pick at them.
a merciful edge: Although this time he'd let Elle go first. He was going to
be slower and that way she could get out of the stench first.
Tesarik One: The stench wasn't nearly as bad at all once they'd gotten to
the main area, and if they stone was pulled in front of the passageway they'd
not smell anything. The recess where the glass had broken looked as if the
glass had been shoved out of the way, which is how the doll had escaped.
Velvet : She was leaning against the wall, arms crossed, watching them with a frown upon her lovely little face. "Tragic. As if the Mewes did not have enough sorrow at the loss of dear Sophia, now her crypt has housed monsters."
Apparently she did not know that so much time had passed while
she was "asleep".
a merciful edge: He crawled out of the passage and was all too happy to
block it off again after bringing the girl's body over to her head, and then
he shuddered a little before looking to the doll and listening to what she
had to say. "Well, I do think it may help that the monsters are now destroyed, no?" The time passage didn't occur to him, since the Mewes might
well still be alive! There were flowers after all. Probably not the same ones, of course.
Tesarik One (Velvet): "I'm called Velvet. I am...was... Sophia's bodyguard, though there is not a lot a bodyguard can do against sickness." She hung her head and sighed. Then lifted her head. "Yes, thank you, I am very glad the monsters are destroyed."
Tesarik One: The doll had noticed the flowers too which made her think it
had not been too long since she'd gone in hibernation. But, it was the
teenagers that had brought the flowers as a sort of offering to the "ghost"
they thought was here.
a vision bereft: She listened to the doll and glanced to the glass that was
broken, then down to the coffin before looking back to the doll when she
introduced herself. "I am Joelle. You were the girl's bodyguard? Not... toy?"
Tesarik One (Velvet): "Toy? Pfft." She smirked a little, and shook her head. "No, though I was under the guise of a simple doll. I am far more than a doll. So... where will we go next?" She had already decided she was joining them!
a merciful edge: "My name is Kyle. Pleased to meet you, Velvet. I'm sorry
all of this had to happen in the crypt, as well as the fact that you lost
your charge. I'm certain you did everything you were able to." He offered a
slight bow of his head to the doll, then blinked at the question. "We should
probably inform the family of the two young ones here of what happened."
Tesarik One (Velvet): A smile crept upon her face hearing Kyle, and she nodded slowly as she pushed from the wall. "You are kind, Kyle, thank you. Ah yes, the families." She looked between the two of them, then held up her arms like a child. "Whose shoulder do I get to ride on?"
a merciful edge: He exchanged a look with Joelle and shrugged. "I don't mind
if she rides on mine, I suppose." It'd be..odd, but oh well!
a vision bereft: Joelle was slightly enchanted by the idea of a living doll
bodyguard, but, Kyle's words brought her back to the present and she sighed
unhappily at the bodies of the two teens. She headed for the door, then
stopped as Velvet wished a ride. She looked over at Kyle first, to see if he
wanted to carry her. When he spoke, she lifted the 5lb doll and sat her on
his shoulder. Then she turned and made her way back out of the crypt.
Tesarik One (Velvet): She smiled and sat on his shoulder when put there, reaching over to grip his hair gently so she wouldn't fall off. She gave a little rub of his ear affectionately as she whispered, "Thank you."
a merciful edge: Five pounds? Goodness. Heavier than he thought she'd be,
but not too heavy at least. He grinned a little at the rub to his ear and the
whisper, then lifted his hand and gave her a small pat on the head. "You're
welcome. Do you know long you've been sleeping in here?" And then he headed on
out. And caught up to Joelle, giving her another little squeeze on the
shoulder. "If you'd rather, I can take care of the unpleasant news delivery.
I know it was hard for you in there."
Tesarik One (Velvet): She was all muscle! Well, she was warforged, while she did have wooden parts she also had some metal in her, though her skin unlike a full sized warforged was smooth like velvet. "Not very long I'd imagine? There were flowers. Though..." She gazed around at the graveyard and frowned. "There are so many more graves and crypts than before."
a vision bereft: She reached over and took his hand, and gave it a squeeze
and shook her head. "No, darling, I would not have you do such unpleasant
business on your own. It will be sad, but I will come with you."
a merciful edge: He smiled a little and returned the squeeze, and would even
bring her hand up to place a small kiss on it if it wasn't all mucky with
ghoul juice! "Very well, thank you." He really hadn't wanted to do it on his
own, but he would have to make things easier on Joelle! He didn't quite
glance to Velvet since she was on his shoulder and all, but he spoke to her
next. "Perhaps the people we found in there had brought the flowers. It seems
to me as if the crypt has been here quite a long while, which matches up with
what we heard before coming."
Tesarik One: It was sad, and the parents wailed and cried when they found
out the children were dead, but they were still grateful they'd been found
and the problem eradicated. They offered a small reward to the two of them of
200 gp each, and their gratitude. They also would find out that it had been a
little over 100 years since Sophia had been buried. The Mewes family no
longer lived in the area.
a merciful edge: He turned down the 200 gp! Meant to get that in the log.
a merciful edge: He wasn't gonna take money from families who just lost their kids.
a vision bereft: She wouldn't either!
Tesarik One: Mission: Feld Kirk's Secret
Tesarik One: All mission rules and regs apply. So, go ahead and list your

a merciful edge: Kyle, Amber Defender, 2d48, 27hp, DC17

But, something was waiting for them for as the stone pushed away, a creature lunged out of the space, knocking Elle over and tried to rip aside the material of her shirt on her shoulder to get to flesh, which it took a bite out of. a vision bereft: She nodded, and pointed to the passage. "I'm guessing that
something got pulled into there." She held her hand to her shoulder, and
allowed some of her own healing to heal the wound as she frowned. (2 heal)

Tesarik One: They were not having the best luck, because as they did their healing and talking and noticing the passageway, the fallen teenager behind the door had risen up, now a ghoul too, and ran towards Kyle. He jumped on his back, and sunk his teeth into his neck trying to rip away flesh. Though this one wasn't all that powerful, being a baby ghoul and all.

a merciful edge: He nodded and let out a little sigh of relief, but that
didn't mean he wasn't gonna clean that wound thoroughly when they got out,
assuming she didn't heal it all up. Which she had. He darted back suddenly
when he sensed that new ghoul coming at him and frowned.

a merciful edge: "Gods damn it." He really would rather not have to
desecrate the poor corpse, but he couldn't have the thing chomping on them
either, so he took a swipe at its neck to try and end things quickly.

having to hurt the boy, but he'd become a monster, she told herself. She
moved in right after Kyle attached, her seax still in hand, and gave it a
final slash (she hoped) across the neck to take the head off.

Terrible smell or no.

a merciful edge: Well at least they matched.
