Hello!
NPC's are wonderful ways to flesh out a storyline, mission, or adventure as well as just give some interest during regular roleplay. If you are planning on putting a SPECIFIC - RESERVED NPC here, you must have it approved by TesarikOne. You will label it [NPC-R] if it is reserved only for your play and place it in this section.
You are welcome to make NPC's open for anyone to play, these must also be approved by TesarikOne.
**NPC's CANNOT gain any personal xp, gold or crafting points. You may not craft on NPC's, they do not have crafting points. NPC's are simply that, characters used to advance the storyline or quests, but they aren't "earning" anything in the game. If your storyline progresses in such a way that you wish to update your NPC with higher dice/skills/etc then you should speak to tesarikone about improving that NPC.
TURNING A CHARACTER INTO NPC-R
If you have a character that you wish to turn into an NPC, we will allow that, but they cannot earn xp or gp as an NPC. You also cannot transfer that XP or Crafting Points to other characters, it remains with the character as an NPC and determines what level NPC they are. The crafting points are simply lost.
We will allow you to keep your gold you've earned, and transfer that to whichever character/s you wish. But, be aware we will not tolerate abuse, such as selling every last thing your character owned to get the gold and then turning them into an NPC and giving that gold to your other characters.
Questions? TesarikOne
MAKING A BRAND NEW NPC
You may give your NPC a pertinent mundane weapon, shield, and armor (to be approved) free of charge. Anything else you need comes out of the gold you are given for the rank below.
Here is the gold you start with depending on the gemstone you are approved to make your NPC:
Crystal: 6000gp
Topaz: 10,000gp
Amber: 13,000gp
Sapphire: 18,000gp
Emerald: 23,000gp
Ruby: 28,000gp
Obsidian: 35,000gp
If you upgrade your character, you get the difference in ranks. So if you were say, an Amber and upgrade to Emerald you'd get 23,000-13,000=19,000gp.
