Update 1.4
Greetings, OH Members:
This week has been HUGE in many different ways. We've had more activity than we have ever had this week, and there were a ton of rank-ups this week as well. That said, everything I have from this past week and before should be added into your XP, GP, Reputation - it's all updated so take a look at the Roster and see if you ranked up.
Remember, if you go up a gemstone rank you get the following:
5 more trait points
3 more skills
More healing points if you are a healer, or have healing affinity
And if you go up just a rank in general, if you are a magic class, or have magical affinity you get access to more spells you can write and use!
Don't forget that right now during our opening weeks, we are letting new people start at a welcome rank of 10XP and 100GP. This makes them Crystal Cadet Rank. Plus if you recruit someone you get 5XP. We aren't a group that is so gung-ho about recruiting that we want you to sit in recruit chats and such, but just if you have friends, or are roleplaying in our chats and people seem interested, you can tell them about us. We are more concerned with the quality of our group of writers than having a massive roster.
• Don't forget our Word of the Week - you can find it in our OOC section as well as scrolled at the top of the message board! Use it in your roleplay and earn a couple extra XP!
• *Very Important* - We have a new Activity Admin and all of your logs of sparring, archery/marksmanship, racing and jousting must go to her for credit. She sends me an updated list of XP gains every Saturday! The sn is temptofblack - Send your logs to all participants, the Combat Admin AND temptofblack!
• If any of you have an idea for a mission or adventure you'd like to see, then please talk to the Mission Admin! It could be anything, such as a capture, a wanted poster type, sea, desert, swamp, etc, etc!! This is OUR writing group let's all put in ideas.

• Lots of new skills added. Check the Patch Update Lists. We've been trying to round out professions, so you'll see many of them with new skills! Lots and lots of new skills!
Here's a sprinkling: Zen Archer, Salvation, Healer's Bargain, Arcane Pedagogue, Many Shot, Merciful Spell, Briarweb.
• If you are a HUMAN with VERSATILITY you may not take skills marked "Primary" with that skill. If it's not marked Primary then that's fine.
• You can't get that 5XP for recruiting yourself.
• "Mixture" race is now "Original" race, if what you want to do doesn't fit in any way with any of the races we have, then go with Original and make your own flavor of race.
• All skills you can take for your Combat Companion are marked "CC".
• The flaw, Phobia, has been altered.
• "Special circumstances" are now in the Combat Area under Questing Rules.
• Mounts and mount gear may now be purchased, look in the Emporium section.
• Crafting Points will be noted on the Character Roster NOT your dossier from now on.
• The skill, Protective Parry, now allows you to take no damage, NOT half dmg.
• The skill, Dual Wield, has been altered and clarified.
Dual-Wield : You may use two weapons (light melee or one-handed weapons only) in combat. This allows you to use two purchased weapns and gain the weapon damage for both. (Example: If you have duel wield, you may use two swords in combat which makes your weapon damage roll 1d6 & 1d6).
*Note: If you wish to target 2 people, then the Strike roll HAS to have beaten both targets Def. DC. Your combat dice and one weapon go to target 1, the other weapon go to target 2.
• "Friends of OH", having all your future new characters start at 50XP isn't fair for the new muns that join us, so all NEW characters will start at the current welcome rate from this time forward. This goes for NEW characters you create, IF you are transferring over a tried and true character you had in RaS, D&D, OCS, UV ....then all you need do is discuss it with TesarikOne to see about the transfer. But, creating new characters or character that weren't in those groups start at the current welcome rank. This just makes things fair for all involved, I believe. If you already got transferred in, you're good, but as we grow and gain muns that weren't involved in these groups I feel we should be more fair about it for the general populace.
BONUS: What is the name of the town in Madder that is swarmed by moths every full moon? Hint: Check the Gazetteer. Reply back to me with the right answer and I'll give you 1XP.
