Evangeline
Byrony. She'd only ever heard of the place before, and yet here they were fresh off the teleport and in to a new country all together. Eva could well have been more excited if it weren't for the services they just left, being instead a little melacholy in the moment. Who could blame her? Even still, Girard's wish would not be denied him, especially after the shaking hand and pulling away she felt earlier. She didn't like that one bit.. him not wanting to touch her. It bothered her immensely, and Eva worried what she'd done to bring it about. Talk of Hector? It seemed so.. Regardless, Arrowtere was only meters away, not that she knew. To Evangeline, the air seemed crisp, though not too cold and the sounds were few. The place seemed relaxing, perhaps? She'd kept hold of Girard's elbow this entire time, as she did now, and was dressed in her white dress this time around, considering they just left a service. Her ring had been taken off for that time, in true form for Brena, though put back on right before travelling. -- "Why here, Girard?" She assume it something of the adventure she asked him for. Yes, she trusted the minstrel, and would now, too.
Girard
In the wake of that brief yet unpleasant moment in the Inne in the company of Travas Girard had found it difficult to focus his thoughts. By the time of the service for Brena his mind had begun to settle but not until he was once more alone with Evangeline did his worries begin to settle. Teleportation never set well with Girard and though he felt no qualms with paying the guild's fees to make the trip, the arrival in Bryony by those means left the minstrel disoriented. Slow to ease from his disorientation did not keep Girard from walking alongside Eva to the place he had set as their destination. Arrowtere's Pools. Travas had provided a map not long after the service.. told him to take Evangeline to the pool known as the Kiss of the Gods. He'd made no promises while taking the map, with no intention of following through with taking her to that paticular pool. One of the notes on the map had given him a better , if more selfish.. and perhaps even cruel sort of gift to present Eva with. " There is something you should see. " Said the Minstrel softly, making no change to his choice of wording at all despite her blindness. Usually there was no meaning to it, simply a failure to change his words. Taking the map out to perview it was not long at all before he was seeking to lead her to the pool in question. It was a long walk for the two of them.. and it wasn't long until he felt the need to rest.. but stopped more in case she needed a moment of rest.
Evangeline
There was something she needed to see? His phrasing, like most seeing people, was not minded. Eva was used it. That he didn't seek to change his words actually meant more--because he wasn't putting her blindness at the forefront of their exchanges. It helped her feel normal. Or, as normal as she could. "Are you going to tell me what this something is?" If he didn't answer her, she'd rephrase it to see if he'd let anything slip on the subject. "What is Arrowtere like?" Through their long walk, Eva did infact rest twice as often as the minstrel, though she did not shy away from getting right back up and walking again, after only a few minutes off of her feet. It wasn't too much longer until the pools were reached, or rather--the one that wasn't the Kiss of the Gods.
Girard
" I'm going to let it be a surprise.. there is no way to prepare you for the effect of the water as it is.. " Honest to a degree even if he wasn't seeking to tell her exactly what the water would do to her.. or them at any rate. " I do not really know.. this is my first time here, this place.. it is as new to me as it is to you. " Still he wondered if this Magocracy was the sort of place he could study in to learn something more.. of controlling what the Night singer gifted him with. No matter what the chances of that were.. his first thought was to see to this.. see to giving Eva something she'd never had before. It was .. cruel in many ways, a thought that worried him.. but it was a chance he could take.
Evangeline
A surprise. The sum of his words actually worried Evangeline--just a bit. Water? And... what effect? There was no need to inquire more of the minstrel, because she had a feeling that no matter how many different things she'd ask, he'd never elude to her what the place actually was. That it was his first time here had her wondering, too. In a small way, the adventure of it was appealing, especially in that he was experiencing this for the first time, too. Still following him along, she knew little of what was passing around them, there was hardly a sound to be had there.. and the scents in the air were foreign to her.
Girard
A slow breath followed after his answer to her and he kept moving, leading her as best he could while his mind got lost in the song. In the end he succeded in reaching the correct pool.. the healing pool. Upon reaching it he adjusted a shoulder and let down the pack he'd been carrying with him. There was reason to it, mostly because.. walking into water was going to be a problem without a means to dry off.. or change clothes. " We are going to step into the water.. do you want to .. um.. " Now his eloquence was failing him once again. " not allow our clothes to get wet? " Seemed simple enough did it not?
Evangeline
As their walk stilled, Eva listened out as best she could to the place. It seemed so quiet, and yet every now and then she could hear water.. but it echoed softly, it seemed. The pack being set down was the most she'd heard in minutes, really, followed after by the timbre voice of Girard. "I would rather this dress not get wet.." She whispered then. "Are there others around?" She didn't hear any.. but that didn't mean much. Regardless of her spoken concern there, Eva reached to the sash at her waist, opening it slowly--the hooks following after. All it'd take was for her shoulders to drop the material, and aside from hers shoes, the job would be done. She was a tad nervous, not knowing what was to come.. but Girard had guided her into a number of firsts.. why not more?
Girard
A certain time had been selected by the minstrel, few other guests to deal with..and those about he suspected would be at one of the other springs. They would be far more interesting than a spring like this one. " No, we are alone . " At least for the time being, he couldn't dismiss that someone could come around once they were already in the pool. Girard watched as she began to deal with the sash and hooks before distracting himself with his own clothes as to avoid letting them get wet as well. As soon as they were both lacking as much covering as they had arrived in.. he'd clasped her hands in his..and began to lead her into the pool's water.. wondering the whole time how long it would take for the effect to take hold. He knew only.. that it was not a permanent effect.. a cruel fact, but how could he tell her such a thing?
Evangeline
Having stepped from her shoes, Eva was left to feel the small bit of chill in the area across her skin, especially where it licked up her back over the soft covering of down at each shoulderblade. With her hands taken, she followed Girard forward at his guiding, starting to feel the hot waters of the pool at her toes. The soothing feel of it brought her eyes to a close then, relaxing their lids the deeper they got. "... a hotspring.." She did not mind the idea of that at all, bathe lover that she was--but what effects were to come of this? Eva did not feel any different... "It feels nice.." As the water got to her lower back, she took her hands from his and laid them up against his chest, smoothing them to the minstrel's shoulders and around his neck to hold her body in against his. The contact bought her to sigh gently. But.. her eyes were still closed!
Girard
Even if this pool's rumored effects were a falsehood, Girard imagined it would be pleasant indeed to spend time in a hotspring with Eva. " Yes, a hot spring.. its rumored to have a strange healing effect as well. " The feel of her hands turned his attention fully upon her. How nice this was.. it did feel nice.. still it was not long before he chose to scoop up a bit of the water.. and ..splash her with it! What was the reasoning behind this? A bit of fun.. and playfully trying to make her open her eyes! " .. Won't you open your eyes for me, Evangeline? " Well it was worth a try.
Evangeline
Being close, comfortable.. relaxed... and then to have water splashed in one's face!? It did tend to make someone gasp a bit, especially one that didn't see it coming! His playfulness had her smirking, and the little healer gave a minor shove to his chest then backing off to wipe her hand down over features, taking the excess water with it. She hadn't connected the healing aspects of what he spoke.. not until her eyelids rose at the beginning of his beckoning.. why open her---. She gasped in deeply, in a sudden, horrific way as the light crept in in those first few seconds. Eva hard hardly opened her eyes to see the hazy light reflecting up and off the water. It frightened her!!! Gasping around words, the healers hands both moved up to press at her eyes, as if the view and light hurt her eyes. It hadn't--but the shock!!! Oh the shock!! She stood there shivering, unsure of how to move or what to do--she never remembered seeing anything in her life!
Girard
A playful shove led the minstrel to chuckling in response straightening up a little as she opened her eyes. Thinking quickly as she gasped, he seized her hands lightly once more. " It is alright, Evangeline, I promise.. it'll take a few moments to get use to it.. " To help her along he drew her along with him.. towards the more shadowy portion of the spring. It seemed a good enough way to provide her with an anchor. She deserved this chance, even if it was a cruel thing to do to her in the end. " You should be able to look at me.. even just once. "
Evangeline
Even though he seized her hands, she still closed her eyes again. She shook, he'd feel it in her wrists and it was easy to figure the rest of her shook, too. Girard's voice soothed her down some, at least enough to lead her along, into the darker portion of the pool. "Girard.. I'm scared." The words were light, right before he spoke of her seeing him. The concept brought her lip to quiver some, all while her hands moved along with his to set fingers in at his face--seeing him as she normally did..... only to very, very slowly open her eyes. He'd feel her head and body swoon with the oddness of seeing. The brightness, the colors and depth.. and details of things she only knew of in hearing or touching.. it was overload!.. the queasiness starting in her stomach seemed to drop straight to her knees, dropping her to them if he did not prevent the fall. She tried focusing on something, but her eyes weren't quite at that point yet.
Girard
Girard felt the need to soothe, to calm her as best he could .. this was an oppurtunity for her.. but if she wasn't ready. What else could he do? " Its the same fear I felt the first time I consciously looked into the darkness.. its frightening the first time. " Now that he saw that she was slowly trying to open her eyes to him he smiled for her. Gasping when she began to fall he rushed to catch her, to hold her upright against him. " Take your time.. but please.. try for me? " Now that he was supporting her, he slipped his arms about her and pressed a hand to the small of her back and another eased through her hair..brushing through her golden-silvery locks. " If it is too much.. we can.. go to one of the normal springs. "
Evangeline
He did indeed soothe Eva, a little at a time--but this was rather big for her. She pressed her forehead to his chest and for a time held on to him, unmoving.. just trying to catch her breath and strengthen up a bit of courage in her chest. She'd saw a little, her mind trying to make sense of things.. though she knew his smile, heaving heard his breath through it as she saw it form, fuzzy as that vision was. Still--the pool continue to sharpen her vision the longer she was in it. As his voice spoke all it had, she remained there against him.. breathing him in and holding on to the minstrel as if her life depended on him. Try. For him... She didn't answer on if it was too much.. no, a long moment later, her lashes slowly opened. Being against his chest like that, it'd be the first thing she'd see, covering her entire vision. It was good, actually--it gave her a place to focus, a simple, one-color thing.. not that she knew which colors were what. She stayed there until her breathing slowed and the fright started to fall away... and then .. her light blue eyes started to move themselves upwards.. little by little. She focused on Girard. Nothing else. Eva couldn't take anything else! After a time, her eyes found his face and fingers moved pensively to touch all she knew by way of her hands--viewing the action this time. Being odd with depth, moving was even hard to do, because she wasn't used to distance or direction when it paired with eyes.. ones that eventually found his. The color was.. beautiful.
Girard
The wait involved meant being patient for Evangeline, allowing himself to hope she did not find this new sense too overwhelming to appreciate the view she would have. She had only his visage to focus on.. was it selfish of him to be sure that he was the first person she would see? And very likely the last as well? Gods she was beautiful, he found himself thinking as he took in the sight of her.. complete with those open, light blue eyes looking at him. " I will not ask what you think of what you see.. I'm not sure I would have the means to describe it any better were I in your position. This.. will only last as long as you are in the springs.. its..cruel of me to do this to you for that alone. I hope you will forgive me for that.. " Girard was a handsome fellow even so.. dark hair, unkept his eyes a piercing unique sort of green..that glowed in the shadows of where they stood, his skin pale.. very much akin to the ghost his ancestor was.
Evangeline
He needed to be very patient, because it took her quite a while to adapt.. to actually make it up to view his face. The world felt as if it spun around her for a good time, even past the point that she focused on his eyes.. and would likely continue to do so. She continued to match her sight with touch, following the contours of his face, which did not hold her awe for vanity's sake.. and yet she found him very beautiful, indeed. Eva had nothing to base beauty on, and yes, he'd likely be the only person she'd ever see.. The sight of him would always linger in her mind. For now, she managed a slow smile amongst the queasiness, at the same time taking her hand to touch over his mouth, snuffing the minstrel's apology. Eva shook her head a little, and went back to touching him.. the smile growing more.
Girard
Maybe she was right.. this was not the time for talk, still the way she had ceased his apology took him by surprise. Through those green eyes of his, he watched the lovely Aasimar as she touched and looked upon him. In the silence she had requested with but a touch he left her to her actions..but not before brushing his lips against the hand that touched over his mouth. If only it had not been such a short amount of time together, a week or a month was nothing compared to years.. yet they had both been quick to trust one another.. quick to worry about each other. There was a connection, he couldn't deny it for a moment... before he knew it he was speaking yet again in the elven tongue. A language she did not understand.. " Mela en' coiamin. " And by the Gods.. maybe it was for the best she would not understand! The realization of having spoken those words made his head spin, feeling not wholly unlike she did now
he suspected.
Evangeline
The brush of his mouth to her hand had added sensation when seen and felt.. she drew a breath at viewing it, lips parting slightly as eyes directed to the touch. They'd again rise to his eyes, holding there as her hands slid across his cheeks and back, further until her arms drew her body in to press at his. She kissed him softly there, the short show of affection followed after by a tongue she did not know. Her brow creased some, and then the aasimar's voice asked quietly, "... what does that mean, Girard?" Eyes rose back to his.
Girard
A kiss did wonders to make a man blush, all the more once Eva acknowledged his words in a language she did not know. Forunately the kiss she pressed to his flesh acted as a truly affectionate distraction. A short lived focus, he found that he had no where to go no excuse or lie coming to his mind with her this close . " I.. it means Love of my Life.. in the tongue of the elves. "
Evangeline
The kiss happened again, right before he could answer her.. leaving her mouth to still not an inch from his. Eva could not get enough of the color of his eyes--wondering what color they truly were. She knew not red, green, blue, purple and the others. She'd never seen them before! The thought fell away entirely, however.. when the minstrel answered her... Eva heard him, and froze there, watching straight at him with a bit of shock in her eyes. Realizing she was hearing just fine, the shock fell by way of a blink and a shivering breath. He became even more beautiful to her then, if that was possible. "... I ... do not know what love feels like--that I know of.. but... I have never felt with anyone else, as I do with you.." It could very well be love. "... my heart hurts at even the slightest thought of losing you, Girard." Fingertips followed down the sides of his neck, and palms found their way over his collar and to pectorals. "I wish I could see you every day, like this.."
Girard
" Everyone gives a different description of love.. its not truly something you can describe, you may only know it when you feel it. " What she told him was something he shared.. " Its.. why I reacted as I did when we and Travas spoke of.. " He paused.. not wanting to taint the moment with more of that thought. " I wish I could make the effect permanent, I truly do. Even if we never return here.. remember how I look now as best you can. " There simply was no need for.. 'please' or can you do this for me in regard to this.. he knew she would try. " I fear losing you, Eva.. I know if you follow through with the arrangement.. that I won't be able to stay with you. "
Evangeline
She kept there, focused on his face as he spoke.. nearly marveling at being able to see it, to view his expressions and watch his lips as they spoke.. seeing where the minstrel's glorious voice heralds from. "I will remember, Girard." As he opened up to her further, Eva sigh softly against him, taking her head forward to touch forehead between the hands at his chest. She did not know what to do or say, because nothing she could come up with would be right. "... you would not be allowed to stay with me..." The fact came from her lips in no more than a whisper. "... Hector would not allow it, no matter who you are. None of his wives were even allowed to mingle. They were always pregnant and bed ridden." Talk about souring the moment! Eva had shook her head, not wanting to think about it. "I ..... don't want to talk of that right now, please?" Her head rose slowly, eyes returning. "I want to enjoy this.." One tear fell. "... being able to see you..!"
Evangeline
Evangeline laid there in the warmth of everything, not wanting to move--never wanting to leave that pool or let his skin end contact with hers. She'd never been so fulfilled. For the longest time, she simply laid there with him. Both of them healed physically (even his recent bandaging was now wet and gone, with wounds removed), and so it let her sit her head on his shoulder and tip her head up.. to just watch him and be watched back. She wanted to remember his face more than she wished her next breath. Slowly, her fingers came up touch at his lips again, two of them trailing the bottom tier delicately. "... I was afraid to see.. but now I am afraid not to..." Whispered there softly, before she sat up slowly, legs sliding back down into the deeper parts of the water. Light blues never left him, not even as she stood, stretching her neck a bit and taking her great wingspan out to its fullest extent.
Girard
Girard sought to hold on to this moment, the comforts of it that it was the two of them together, the distractions of the world seemingly passing them by. All of it had been enough to forget about his shoulders, it had taken Evangeline's notice to make him conscious of the fact. It only served as a reminder that his injuries would return, far more cruel that her blindness would come again in kind. The touch of her digits at his lips surprised him, the minstrel gasping before taking in the sight of her and where the touch originated.. a soft laugh came in its wake. " I had hoped that you would be able to see it as a gift.. I find some happiness in knowing it has been. " As she sat up, he moved as well.. if only to keep close.. though when she decided to stretch out that wingspan all he could do was sit back..taking in the sight of her. " .. Breathtaking. " An elven word had been on the tip of his tongue, but he was trying not to fall back on that beautiful race's terminology so often.
Evangeline
She did not think on that his injuries would return. Surely that'd make her frown--though the woman would not see that, if her sight left at the same time his injuries returned. At least they would be healed enough not to have to be wrapped by now. Lifting her wings a bit higher in that stretch, she heard his words and looked back his way... watching the admiration across his face. It made her blush a little, smiling. "They're just wings.." To her, there was nothing special to them! Unfortunately, Girard was not the only person to see the Aasimar in that moment.
Woman
A gasping came from a young woman that had just entered, and she came forward with a small child who clung around her neck and waist with his small body. She came to the pool to give the diseased child some relief. The disease would not fade with just the waters, however. Seeing what she believed quite simply was an angel, the woman of faith got to her knees at the edge of the pool, bending as much she could with the boy in tow.
Evangeline
Eva turned her sights on the woman, but did not see her... she saw the boy. Her senses let her know far more than the eye could---though the view of him did help identify the minor disease that had been taxing the child for months. In that moment, she had little regard for her bare form, turning to walk straight for the worshipping woman. Her voice came light then. "Please.. let me see the boy?" Eva reached touch touch the woman's shoulder, urging her to rise.
Woman
The woman's eyes were large when they came back up, her breath broken by a mix of feelings, wonder being at the forefront. She nodded at the angel's wants, running her hand along the boy's back before pulling him from around her, turning him to sit at her lap. "... can you?"
Evangeline
Eva had already planned to, far before the woman even asked. Still, she didn’t answer the woman. Instead, her fingers found the boy’s head, smoothing across his forehead and to one of his temples. She gave him a generous smile, and lowered down into the water enough to be level with him. When Evangeline spoke again, it was in a language most would not know—Celestial. And it sounded sweet, still, like little bells to the ears, though was layered as if spoke by two people. Eva had extra vocal chords, as it were. The words spoken were light, falling in to a soft chant as her eyes closed and she focused, laying her hand across the chest of the child. The warming light emitting from her lasted only a moment, and a bit of grey blackness could be seen leaving the boy as the diseased taint that plagued him pulled in to the Aasimar. Her skin seemed to grey with the disease’s effect, taking it in to herself. She heard the woman gasp! But did not react to any sound or touch in that moment. Instead, the healer continued to focus, until the disease pushed from her body and out to a single feather, turning it from white to black before it fell out and into the water. The boy’s eyes were immediately brighter, as was his skin tone.
Girard
To say that Girard found himself paticularly surprised with the scene that unraveled before him what an apt statement. The coming of others was to be expected, this pool was known as the Healing Pool after all. Relief from pain for even a short time could be a glorious sort of gift, he knew. Still in the shadows the minstrel saw to rummaging through the pack he'd brought along in order to procur a pair of pants. Where as Evangeline may have been unconcerned, he recognized his presence would prove a touch unsettling to the young woman that had come to give her child some small relief from the pools. By the time those words, Celestial, reached him he had finally chosen to come closer, though only to seat himself on the water slick, smooth stone in order to take in the view that was the Aasimar in all her glory.. doing something good for someone that no doubt deserved it.. a child. Even the minstrel known as Requiem could not help being happy with this.. despite the interruption. He chose to watch still, yet began a soft melody.. a song of healing, a pity there was no power in it as there was in Evangeline's words, her power to remove sickness and wounds. His singing voice would prove soft, yet noticable a comforting sound in the wake of the boy's healing. It seemed a time fit to celebrate, even if just a through a short song! Only once his melody was over did his green eyed gaze settling on the three of them once more. Happy though he could be for the child, to see Evangeline grey as she did worried him.. and his concern was easily apparent on his pale, handsome features. It proved enough to force him to movement.. to come to her, despite a little apprenhension in revealing his presence to the woman and child beyond his song.
Evangeline
As the black feather fell, the disease went with it, cast off in the tailed quill to never again harm the boy, or Eva. She fluttered her wings lightly then, shivering perhaps, letting them come around her body a small bit. The boy seemed awed by the view, smiling to her and reaching his hand with want to touch. She brought one wing forward enough for him to do just that, feeling his little hand pet down over the chilly, soft surface of the feathers at the top of her wing. Eva smiled widely, truly happy to see him well again. He just needed to pack on a few pounds and he'd be a rambunctious little boy again! Taking her hand to the wing he touched, since winced one eye in pulling a clean, white feater from the bunch--overing it out to him. After he took it, Eva rose to touch his mother's shoulder, trying to calm the woman's joy and the mutterings of prayers she began to recite over and over again. "... go home, my dear.. rest. He will be fine now." Evangeline even complimented the woman's wariness with a bit of divine energy, lifting the dark circles and fatigue wearing on her. When the woman rose, she bowed a few more times and set her boy down, taking his hand to walk about with him, side by side. Eva's light blue eyes followed after... then turned to Girard again. "... Your song was beautiful, non-bard.." Playfulness and a splash his way!
Girard
Girard could find an ease, calm in the moment that black feather flew away on the breeze. He could not help but take it as a sign that the disease, whatever it had been, was gone just as much as the feather was. Though the young woman and her child did not acknowledge him, he bid them pleasant farewells.. expecting they would not remember one man in the memory of 'the angel that healed her boy'. Evangeline drew his attention to her with little more than a playful splash of water his way! " Minstrel, my dear, always Minstrel.. or it seems.. the minstrel companion of an angelic healer.. " One not to be remembered, he wondered if this incident would increase the number of visitors to this pool, or tells that the source of its healing may well have been divine in natural rather than a quirk of nature. " I'm happy that such a thing could come of my decision to come here.. " Much of it had been selfish for him, maybe for her as well.. yet that a child could be freed of a disease that could well have taken their life? Yes, he could only be proud of having been apart of making it happen. " I.. " He laughed a little.. " My mother taught me it, the song of healing.. "
Evangeline
"Minstrel." She smiled still. "And here I thought myself your companion." It wasn't that the woman and boy did not see him--but the grandness of what was happening did lessen much of what else was around them. It was a heavy moment, one that left the mother and boy rather giddy and transcendent in happiness. Girard did indeed help the healing process--by being there for the Aasimar. "This all came from your decision.. " Eva looked at him, moving through the water to reach a hand towards his face. Her fingers smoothed along his cheek. When he spoke of his mother and of the healing song, her smile softened considerably. "... it is a truly beautiful song... surely your mother would be glad to hear you sing it for so great an effort.." Blues stayed with him, falling to the green eyes above her.. ones she still didn't know the color of. Not the name of it, anyway. It mattered little in those moments. ".. I do hope we can return here, someday.." Selfish or no, the hope of being able to see him again struggled to take hold in her.
Girard
" We are each others companion, compliments to the other.. a strength to one another. " A way of seeing their relationship, excluding the matter xof their feelings for one another. Those seemed to be a matter of uncertainty for Evangeline and to many a degree he as well found uncertainty. " I suppose it did.. " Some how he felt just a little difficulty in the possiblity that it was destiny to have made the decision he had despite Travas's advice. " I.. thought I had forgotten the words, I struggled to remember them many times. " Was that a slight sound of incredulity speaking of the song? It was. " I hope we can as well.. I hope for alot Evangeline. The least I can do.. is be sure our time together is some of the most memorable in your life. " He didn't want Hector to have her, didn't want to travel to Zyon to make it possible, and he'd do everything in his power to change her mind.. but it was her decision to stay the course or take her indenpendence from her parents questionable wishes. " We should get dressed, I would not wish to run into addicts of the Pool of Adonis. " He remembered the note of warning on Travas's map about it, and that meant leaving it well alone. " Well Lovely One will you join me.. I'd like to enjoy a walk with you before we seek a return to Sarkotos. "
Evangeline
The way he put it.. of their compliment to one another.. had her shoulders and wings dropping slightly, and an appeased sigh coming free from her lips. She believed and felt every word he'd said then, nodding in slight to show such. "I would like you to teach me the song, sometime?" A song of healing would be nice to know, considering she was a healer! Granted, with her Keen Memory, she might have remembered it just fine--at least the melody if not most of the words. It still didn't mean as much as learning the song from the minstrel, directly.. she would love to see what that was like. When Girard added in of wanting their time memorable, both of the Aasimar's hands fell in on either side of his face. "You already have, Girard... be sure that you have..." A sweet, short kiss fell up to his lips then, and she pulled back to smile at him, even through the talk of getting dressed. Yes, it saddened her to think they had to leave this place.. but all good things must come to an end. At least there was hope to return. "The Pool of Adonis? What does that one do?" She hadn't the foggiest idea. Taking his prompt to get dressed, Eva took his hand in hers and waded towards the edge of the water, taking a breath and casting him a long, sad look before getting out. But her sight remained? Was that hope in her eyes again? The three minutes had begun..
Girard
How else could he put it but exactly how he viewed that aspect of their relationship? She brought out many of his good qualities, by the same token he suspected he brought out some of her.. bad qualities in a fashion. She did succede in earning the whole of his attention at the request to be taught his song. " I'll teach you, the best I can.. a healer should know such a song.. shouldn't they? " Maybe he thought of it much as she did, in a few ways. Girard let a brow rise and his smile form a wide example of the expression " I am pleased to know that Eva. " More to say.. till she accomplished silencing him with but a kiss, always capable of ending his rambling whether he was away of it or not. He nudged her, paticularly towards where her clothing lay and where he could finish getting dressed as well. He followed her in wading through the waters to where her clothes remained and began with pulling on his tunic..though left it shirttail out for the time being. " The Pool of Adonis.. Travas's notes mentioned .. arousal, something about love potion, I think we should avoid it.. we do not need the aid of such waters. " A fact Girard happened to be pleased with, he'd not worry himself over that all that much. After those few words of explanation he caught that sad look, and it took his smile with far too much ease. He knew that her sight would not remain, even if it took some time before it left her completely. He'd be certainly that like her first sight, the last would be him as well. It left the time remaining to her eyesight No warning of that she should expect her vision to fade.. and so he moved closer just to press a kiss between her eyes. " We will visit here again.. I promise you that. " Even if he had to abduct her, and sour though the thought was, a child if such was to be her fate, to do just that.
Evangeline
"I cannot promise I will be so great a student.. though I will try." That had been the last of her words before they left the water, and ... the last for a short while after his had concluded. Yes, she was sad of things, but then she didn't want to taint their last few moments by letting the tears flow or sobs come. This was a happy time, even if it had to draw to a close. At least he got a snicker from her in regards to the Adonis pool! She didn't seem interested in it in the least bit, but thoughts did rise when he worded it as he did. She also realized that he added Travas in to this little bit of travel. She had no clue Travas told him of this place, only not finding out. Why would the priest offer this pool as a destination for travel? Having went about slipping her dress back on, Eva slowly started to hook the front of her dress back together. She no sooner tied the sash than did the minstrel come to assure her, kiss between the eyes and all. She nodded then, smiling lightly to him.. and continued to watch Girard's face from that point on. Her shoes were still left abandoned, but she didn't care.. no.. everything was starting to darken around her... The woman's blinks started to slow there. "... .. its..." Her eyes moved to his, watching the mysterious color before her just as the blindless fell back in. As her eyes strayed down, she'd simply close them.
Girard
" I believe you will be a good student, already you've a lovely voice. " And she'd find it took only a little training in order to use that lovely voice for song. If she thought to ask, she'd be told in full honesty that Travas had advised taking her to the Kiss of the Gods, a pool with supposed divine connections.. not this healing pool that he'd selected instead. Alas if she did not ask.. she'd not be told, information for another time. Those green eyes of his took in the sight of her, noticing reactions thought tied to the creeping loss of sight. Realizing it must be what was happening her moved to embrace her, one arm alone easing about her.. while the hand of the other rose to tilt her head up just a little. " I know. " Nothing, truly nothing more could be said to make the loss of something she'd never previously known before be seen in a positive light. He could hope that she would hold the memory proceeding it to overpower the sense of loss. Before he knew it.. he was humming, as if instinctually knowing it could perhaps ease the feeling she no doubt felt..he'd hum the song of healing for her.. she did like the song didn't she?
