Just after dusk on the Monday of the Triple Full Moon amid the trees of the Faerie Woodlands, two small gnomes were hiding among the roots as they watched one of the feral animal groups settle down for the evening when they heard a noise interrupt the morning. A light that rivaled the day and night of the weekend came from behind a nearby grove and with it a sound of mystical whir. One final check was made on the ones they had been following before the pair rushed along the forest floor towards what could possibly be a new threat to their village. A chunk of stone that none had ever questioned before had cracked and upon it were runes that were suddenly glowing in the faint light of day. Sparks and flying bits of light were shooting out from the crack in a wild manner causing crashes among the trees and bushes of the small area. One flying chunk whizzed right past the male gnome and he saw what could only be described as twisted metal just before it crashed into the ground to make a small crater. The other raised the alarm towards the defenders of the town saying that reinforcements might be needed, especially her!
The patrols around the small village were instantly rearranged to keep some sections still protected as half the guard and some of the ones who had been in town all met on the perimeter where the rock sat. Magical shields thrown up all over the area to contain the wild magic and whatever it was tossing around from destroying the forest or the gnome guard that had come into the area. One of the defending gnomes, looked at all of the runes scattered about the rock and tried to figure them out to know what they would be dealing with. About the time that she realized that it had something to do with travel, three mismatched shapes began to appear on the grass in front of the rock. The light seemed to swirl and shimmer about them before releasing a flash, temporarily blinding any who had been staring.
Ellywick herself was quick to recover as she looked towards the three shapes that turned out to be three humanoids. Each a little odder than the next with the shortest one being the most odd of all. Then again.. It might be a gnome which tipped the scale in his favor. Gnomen cries were heard from all of the guards but her voice rang out in the morning above them all. Reinforce the shield after I go through! And no one tell my mother! Then Ellywick pushed into the bubble they had made to step into the area with the other three.
Her hair had been pulled back on the top of her head into an intricate pile of braids that alternated between the white, pale pink and hot pink that she sometimes preferred. Her magically colored pink eyes taking in the details of each individual as she put away the shadow magic that had naturally been sitting in her palms. Some of the gnomes around her all whispered into their village tokens that allowed them to communicate with each other, giving her advice but it was only one piece of advice she chose to take.. The one that said to talk slow. It made the most sense after all.
"If you're here to cause trouble, I warn you. You'll never get past me to try it." It wasn't the best bluff but she tried it anyhow. Intimidation wasn't as good when you were adorable without any of your normal comrades there to assist you.
