Unyielding Dark: [ Good! ]
Gemmed Wings: (looks good)
Tesarik One: Ok!
Tesarik One: Set up apparently by Khan Hayfa, the group finds itself in the
Far West, unknown territory of Thanes. The Al'Mata, or Dead Fire. Traveling
to find a group of raiders, they instead find themselves
Tesarik One: falling into Pazar, a sunken city, where decisions are made to
use some magical phrases found by Elly to release an efreeti royal into the
world, hellbent on destroying Arith civilization, the Vizier of
Tesarik One: the Fire Sultan, so he calls himself. Nice job, Heart! To
Amun-Re's Pyramid as the group splits up, Logen taking off ahead of them on a
Roc.
Fun Size Fantasy: It was the people who can't defend themselves at the
moment's fault!
Tesarik One: So, your group is on camel, moving across the desert in an
attempt to follow the path of Logen who has already disappeared from view. It
just so happens that the efreeti was heading in the direction of the pyramid
so that is where
Tesarik One: you are heading as well. Though as you move along, you pass by
an area of horse and humanoid tracks. In the center of the area, a large mass
lies in the sands. Bones of camels lie amid the charred remains. A trail of
hooves and feet
Tesarik One: lead in the direction that Logen flew. You've found a
camel-fry!
Tesarik One: You can get down and look around or keep moving.
Fun Size Fantasy: That was Elly's story and she was sticking to it.. of
course now they were all stuck chasing Logen's arrogant ass. Elly had flown
over to her camel to get up on it's back all pretty like as they started to
follow the trail once
SwordOfAtrophy: Olan didn't much care for the whole 'blame placement'
shenanigans. Elly had wanted to do something, and even though he cautioned
against it, he was not clairvoyant, which meant he was just as responsible.
On the camel, towing along
Tesarik One: Upon her camel, Talasyn traveled with a slight frown upon her
lips. Never should they have split in a situation like this, in a place no
one had ever been before. But she was just the healer, what could she say?
She could think a
Fun Size Fantasy: more. She'd had just enough time to figure out how to
keep the blame off herself.. but now there were all kinds of dead animals.
Still under the effects of her (Fly) spell, she got up from her camel's back
and moved over towards
Fun Size Fantasy: the pile of bones to make sure it wasn't a trap of some
kind they needed to avoid!
Tesarik One: lot of things though, and it showed on her countenance.
Grabbing her waterskin she downed a good bit of water and made sure her
spells were up keeping her comfortable, and keeping a cloud above her to keep
the sun from burning her
Tesarik One: snowy white skin.
SwordOfAtrophy: the rest of those who chose other methods of travel.
Reaching the death zone, he slowed down, no good would come of rushing camels
into their doom.
Tesarik One: No trap, just a camel-fry. They must have been hungry.
Tesarik One: Everyone may make a Spot Check if you wish as you look around
you.

he needed more. Alas, that did take enough attention that he wasn't paying

Gemmed Wings: the others take a look at the camel fry.-d
Unyielding Dark: Her eagerness came from a desire to make their way to
Logen, as quickly as they might -- though she was never one for porting or
anything of the such, she was stuck in their slow but continued movemets. The
sound of the others
Valiant Madcap: -Well he was totally here with them the entire time and
being on a camel was just glorious for the drunken mage. He pulled out his
forever full jug and popped it open to take a drink off it as he

Fun Size Fantasy: "OhHey..Oasis.." She'd heard of these things but you
never know what to believe until you come upon one. Elly flew up a little
and pointed excitedly in the direction of the trees.
Tesarik One: 27+ see something over the crest of a hill, a solitary man in
rags shuffling towards you all, his features indiscernable.
SwordOfAtrophy: "Oh good, I thought I was just imagining things. If anyones
waterskins are low, we should stop briefly and refill."
Unyielding Dark: and be able to reach out properly again. Of course, with
the statement of an oasis, she turned her face in the direction that Elly
seemed to be directing them. "It would be wise, I suppose. We should bring
the camels in case they
Unyielding Dark: are also in need of a drink." They souldn't be, but it
didn't mean that they shouldn't make sure. [d]
Tesarik One: "Perhaps we should stop," she started, but Olan spoke and she
nodded. "If nothing else for our camels to drink fully." And the natural
shade for a moment would be nice.
Tesarik One: Ha, great minds.
OnlineHost: Roguish Luck has entered the room.
Gemmed Wings: Out here they are also perfect traps...
Tesarik One: "There is a person...." she pointed in the direction of the man
in the distance.
Fun Size Fantasy: "Oh..And A Guy.." Elly tried to point him out too but she
was weary of strange man in desert now that people had talked her into
freeing a genie.
Tesarik One: State to add.
Valiant Madcap: Sounds like everyone agrees then. We can go rest up and
refill the humps! -A pat to his camel's gorgeous backside so he could lead it
towards the Oasis- I bet I can throw Elly all the way to the other side of
it! -d
Tesarik One: She turned the camel so they could head towards the oasis.
Though she did watch the figure she'd seen, it was pretty far away since it
was so difficult to make out. It seemed like just one fellow though, maybe he
needed help. First
Tesarik One: things first. Once arriving at the oasis, she dismounted and
let the camel drink its full in the water.

Fun Size Fantasy: "Hey..NoThrowingTheGnome!" Elly gliding over the hot air
to hop onto the back of her camel to go with the others. Making sure that
they had the extra one from Logen there so it would follow along and get some
water too.
Tesarik One: You've reached the Pool of Tefnet. Palm trees and a pool of
shimmering water. The palms offer shade and comfort and the water is cool and
quenching.

Gemmed Wings: Celeste would look towards the man in rags as well as she
frowned for a moment and then grew her wings as she spoke softly. - I'll be
back.. - Grabing her waterskin she would take to the air and head for the
man in rags across the
Gemmed Wings: sands-
Tesarik One: When Celeste gets close enough for the figure to see her, he
stops, and recites his story to her (sent via email earlier).
Tesarik One: He is a cursed soul, a ghost, in limbo and cannot be destroyed,
or be harmed ,nor does he answer any questions. It is as if the only thing he
can say is recite his story. He will also point in the direction of the
pyramid.
Valiant Madcap: I wonder what camel tastes like.. -He looked over at
Ferdinand, which is what he named his camel and grinned nice and big- Don't
worry big guy, I wouldn't eat you. -d
Unyielding Dark: [ AFK ]
Tesarik One: If you are doing anything with the pool of water, please be
very clear about what you are doing. Bathing, filling waterskin, etc.
SwordOfAtrophy: He managed to wrangle the spare camels and let them all have
a drink, refilling his waterskins that weren't really much down to begin
with. "Madame Celeste, if.." Then she was gone, off towards the stranger. He
watched, almost
Tesarik One: The camel spit at Sloane. Cause they are nasty.
Fun Size Fantasy: "Yet you're wondering what he tastes like.." Elly
muttered the words as she finished with the last of the waterskin refills,
even the extras just in case. There was a part of her that wanted to splash
people but instead she just
Fun Size Fantasy: hung out over the pool away from the edge to do the
refilling. Gotta use the flying thing while it was there!
SwordOfAtrophy: waiting for the trap she warned them about to spring on her.
That would be their luck, by this point.
psionic wanderer: He could use some more water, really. He wasn't crazy
enough to think he wouldn't get all dehydrated if all he drank was coffee. He
just wanted it to be about 80% of his liquid intake. He stopped his camel and
hopped off, then
Gemmed Wings: Celeste had offered out the waterskin as she listened and
realized what he was and then simply nodded and flew back to the others as
she landed and pointed to the figure.- That's a cursed soul...
SwordOfAtrophy: Plus he needed water to, actually make coffee.
Gemmed Wings: -She would tell them what he had told her just to save time.-
psionic wanderer: headed on over to refill his own waterskins and..enjoy the
air? Since his helmet was retracted and all.
Fun Size Fantasy: And Elly waved at the water just because it seemed like
the thing to do at the time. That and she was curious. Oh.. wait. Now she
was REALLY in trouble. She held up her finger to the water and turned to
listen to Celeste recite
psionic wanderer: Pfft. Not when it was essentially a replenishing skin that
dispensed coffee instead of something else! It made its own water.
Valiant Madcap: Ah no I was not wondering what HE tastes like but camel in
general. You gotta bet someone has gotten stranded out in a desert and eaten
their camel at some point. -d
Tesarik One: The story that Celeste tells you all is Amun-Re's story and I
sent it via email to you.
Unyielding Dark: [ Back, sorry ]
SwordOfAtrophy: "So.. an undead pharoah can't journey to the afterlife until
someone.. basically robs his tomb."
Gemmed Wings: Chew Sloane.. Very chewy... And yes that's what it sounds
like. He doesn't seem to be able to do more then recite the story.. and
wander..
SwordOfAtrophy: He wondered if Sloane missed seeing the eaten camels they'd
just passed.
Fun Size Fantasy: the man's tale. Huh. She looked to the group and then
to the water and then back to the group.. A soft clearing of her throat as
she held the last skin in her fingers. She whispered to the water and then
reached for her
Valiant Madcap: -is drunk-
Tesarik One: As for Logen, flying upon the roc in the direction he thinks
the efreeti went allows him to spy the temple/ pyramid complex of Amun-Re on
the ground. By the time he spies the complex, it becomes difficult to tell
which way the
Fun Size Fantasy: insignia. "SO.. the water is talking to me... it says it
can answer questions.. should I ask questions about the pyramid or the genie
we just released?"
Valiant Madcap: -but that definitely plays to his point!-
psionic wanderer: "I feel like, from what little I understand of this mess,
we don't have a good track record of releasing things."
Tesarik One: efreeti went, as the scent comes from every direction as the
wind moves swiftly towards you, as if the pyramid is in the center of a
whirlwind. Maybe to the pyramid? Maybe elsewhere? Logen has to decide what
he's going to do.
Unyielding Dark: Andraste brought her camel to drink if it was needful, her
own water refilled before she turned her head towards the story that was
offered. She listened as she considered what Elly requested, "Aye, it would
be wise to ask." She
Tesarik One: "That's a change, usually it is the opposite and if you rob a
tomb, then you've done something to keep them from the afterlife." She
frowned a little, and got plenty of water in the waterskins while her camel
drank heavily. Gotta
Tesarik One: fill those lumps, those lovely humps.
Tesarik One: She glanced to Elly, "Just one question?"
Unyielding Dark: answered in return via the insignia, her form tense,
turning towards the horizon, then back... assessing the group and then
turning back towards the direction that Logen had gone. [d]
Fun Size Fantasy: "Three yes no questions actually and I'm afraid to say
anything outloud just in case it's like a gnome I once knew."
Gemmed Wings: Letting her camel join the others she would look between the
gathered people and then back to Olan. - Maybe you should go make sure what
ever Elly is talking too isn't going to try to drown her... Some water nymphs
are that way..
Tesarik One: She was using her insignia too! "Right. Perhaps ask of the
genie first, and then proceed after that."
Valiant Madcap: Wait.. Water is talking to you? Elly.. you sure you didn't
get into my jug on the way here? -A scratch off the top of his head as he
pondered on that one- Hmm.. maybe it is ghost water like the guy walking
around -d
SwordOfAtrophy: "I would ask it, if the efreeti can be killed by mortal
weapons." That seemed to be an important question, at least to him. The
Efreeti was the more pressing concern.
Valiant Madcap: -This water might be worth something so he would take the
skin Qivara had given him earlier and since he had drunk all the ale in it he
would go and fill it with some of the water. Imagine the booze he could make
with talking water
Roguish Luck: Descent. That was what Logen was going to do. The shadow roc
carried him down to the sands below, wings swinging wide open to glide down
to the earth. At the last moment, the wings cupped and lifted the creature to
lift the weight
Valiant Madcap: and such- -d
Roguish Luck: for ease of landing. Once Logen was on the ground standing
before the Pyramid, he set his oceanic hue to climb the monolithic building.
"Perhaps... perhaps this is the resting place of Amun-Re..." It was at that
point, Logen
Fun Size Fantasy: Elly turned back to the pool of water to ask it about the
genie. May as well.
Roguish Luck: depressed the insignia upon his lapel, speaking into it to
communicate with the others. "Continue the path.. You'll find the oasis and
continue on to find a pyramid... I'm not sure how long I can wait... The
efreet moved in haste."
Roguish Luck: [d]
Fun Size Fantasy: "We cannot defeat the Vizier of the Fire Sultan with our
own weapons."
Fun Size Fantasy: "Not that I expected it otherwise we woldn't have found
him in a lamp.. right? But it means we need to do more than just find the
bastard."
Gemmed Wings: Big shocker.. And apparently we didn't even get three wishes
for letting him out. - A smirk as she patted her own camel and made sure her
water skin was full.-d
Tesarik One: Hearing Logen, she tapped her own insignia, "We are at the
oasis now, getting water. We will resume movement shortly."
SwordOfAtrophy: He listened, nodded, though that did little. He thought for
a moment. "Quite, continue hunting for info. With the extra camels I will be
slower, so I shall head for the pyramid now." He saddled up the extra camels
and started moving
SwordOfAtrophy: again, the others could catch up easily enough. (brb, dog)
Tesarik One: Logen, as you land, you spot the figure in the sands. The ghost
of Amun-Re, and when he gets close enough he recites his sad tale to you.
(Story was sent last week, and again today)
Roguish Luck: "The Vizier has been weakened from what he once was... Time
wins out on all creatures..." Logen wasn't convinced that he couldn't kill
something. He'd yet to come up against something he just couldn't kill.[d]
Unyielding Dark: "Fantastic...." She responded through the insignia, pulling
her camel slightly away from the water, checking to see if it was finished.
"I will go with you..." She responding regard to continuing to move. She
mounted up, as awkward
Valiant Madcap: Ah man, we are gonna go up against something made out of
fire? Poppy cock! Those things tend to be immune to my magic.. -A grunt and
he would wiggle back up on top of his camel and started to think things
through- I suppose.. I
Unyielding Dark: as it was to do so with a camel. She followed apace with
the man, her mind searching the path that Kanesh had laid before. [d]
Valiant Madcap: could.. Yes perhaps.. but then.. hmm.. -This called for a
drink, so he popped open that jug and sloshed away- -d
Fun Size Fantasy: ( Sorry there was someone at the door ) "Anymore
questions? Anyone can think of?"
Valiant Madcap: What is his weakness?
Tesarik One: "It has to be a yes or no question, Elly said."
Gemmed Wings: Mounting her own camel she would speak. " Can he be
defeated.."
Tesarik One: "What about the story we were just told? We could ask about
Amun-Re."
Valiant Madcap: Yeah but.. Yes or no.. so work out a question about that guy
that can be answered that way..
Valiant Madcap: Uhh...
Tesarik One: "Will we be able to rob Amun-Re's tomb?" That was just a
suggestion.
Fun Size Fantasy: Elly thought up a quick question and asked it quickly.
"Only way to defeat him is with the Star Gem. Remember when I told you guys
I had heard about them before when we were in Marakech."
Fun Size Fantasy: Plus Amun-Re had just mentioned one in his little story.
Tesarik One: One more question. Olan and Andraste have begun to move towards
the pyramid.
Valiant Madcap: Oh! Ask if we can find a star gem in his tomb! -candle went
off-
Roguish Luck: "The star gem of Mo-Pelar... It lies within this pyramid,
Ellywick... And the Vizier, I believe, is going for it and the Staff of
Ruling... I don't think I can wait for you all..." The last words of a
Northman through the insignia
Tesarik One: Once the camel had enough water, she mounted again after giving
her rear end a little rub. She didn't have enough experience on even a horse
to not have a sore ass. She pulled the camel away and began to move with the
others, though
Tesarik One: slowly so the others could catch up.
Roguish Luck: before he was moving on towards the temple to gain entry... To
seek the Staff and the Gem before the damned Efreet got it's hands on it.[d]
Valiant Madcap: You know... I could probably teleport us all right to the
pyramid if we are in a rush.. -d
Fun Size Fantasy: "It basically just let me know that we would find one
within the pyramid yes in a very specific place." No she wasn't sharing at
the moment as she tried to think of another question.
Valiant Madcap: I mean.. mostly in tact too!
Gemmed Wings: -Just has to laugh at Sloane for a moment.-
psionic wanderer: Oh, right, he let the camel drink as well, while he had
some coffee and thought about this. He wasn't quite comfortable giving any
input to the situation, it was out of his league really. One of these days
they'd have a problem he

Fun Size Fantasy: "Take my camel! I can catch up flying! I have one more
question"
Gemmed Wings: Sloane can you teleport to an area that you don't know? -
urging her camel up to his she would look over at him serious now.-d
Valiant Madcap: That is why I said mostly! -A huff and he would fold his
arms over his chest- You have to spoil things Celeste, don't you?
Tesarik One: She moved so she could grab the camel of Elly, and led it away.
Tesarik One: "Let us just keep moving. Logen has already found the pyramid,
so it cannot be too far off. It is just difficult to see across these sand
dunes."
Roguish Luck: It was enough of a sight for him to be aware of his
surroundings.. To pay more attention. Logen ascended the steps, body relaxed
and at the ready for whatever cursed traps lay about the temple and beyond.
He had some searching to do
Gemmed Wings: No, I was just curious cause if you could then it could work
but I don't wanna end up part of a wall you know. - Reaching over she would
pat Sloane's arm and then settle back on her camel once more. She could fly
them there as
Roguish Luck: to find the what was necessary. And he hoped not to draw too
much attention to his own presence being there. [d]
Gemmed Wings: well but everyone seemed to never want her to do things in
her true form.-d
Valiant Madcap: Well come on Franklin the camel. Let's do this the hard way
since experimental magic techniques are too much for some people! I didn't
even mention that one time I sent someone all the way up his friend's
backside.. one fatality and
Valiant Madcap: people get so antsy! Yup Yup! -He patted his camel to get on
his way towards the pyramid- -d
Roguish Luck: Moving into the temple, his eyes began their appraisal on the
structure. The building was an ancient craft, but the limits of geometry
allowed for only so many possibilities for integrity and passage. Magic...
Magic was always a
Unyielding Dark: They were well on their way upon their own camels, awaiting
the others. Her head and presence turned back, listening and feeling for them
before her head turned back, towards the path that the Camel was following.
She wondered if
Unyielding Dark: she could get the thing to move any faster? [d]

the stone stolen from the earth to craft such an establishment. For him... He

Roguish Luck: Well, that would have gotten Logen to pause in his tracks.
Front and center, it was for him as he stepped directly into the midst of
what he assumed were the bandits he had him traveling after by order of the
Thanic chieftan. So
SwordOfAtrophy: Somewhere, someone was singing ghost riders in the sky as
the troup was running across the desert.
Roguish Luck: while they had paused and not moved, Logen remained at ease...
Though... There was a devilish grin growing upon his face. Bet they'd never
think they'd see the Bastard in person...[d]
Fun Size Fantasy: Elly was humming a tune that was a mix between the bumblee
song and the flight of the valkyries as she rushed across the sand in a
direct route to meet up with the others. Hopefully she would catch up to
them before the winds got
Fun Size Fantasy: her or something.
Unyielding Dark: "Come on... but a little faster, eh?" She attempted to urge
the camel, her feet tapping it as one might a horse... no such luck.
"Certainly not a horse..." She muttered low, only to get an answering huff
from the creature she rode
Valiant Madcap: Ride like with wind Franzibelle! You are such a prett girl.
-He was on the move with his mighty steed, he should get a stable of camels
and raise them. Baby camels were cute right?- -d
Gemmed Wings: ( hahahaa Mark I was humming that earlier)
Unyielding Dark: upon. Her hands tightened, relaxed, repeatedly until she
could get herself to calm a tad. [d]
Tesarik One: Logen do you have a knowledge you can roll to determine what
you know about these people?
Tesarik One: Those on the camels, once you cover a large rise of dunes, see
the pyramid before you.
Gemmed Wings: -Making a yipping sound she would slap her reins and urge
the camel to move after as she could see the pyramid.-
Tesarik One: In the midst of the vast desert sands, the last relic of a dead
civilization stands before you. Surrounded by the broken foundations of a
once mighty city, the great pyramid itself rises up from the
Tesarik One: sands, looking barely touched by time. It is 745 feet square at
the base and rises to a height of 700 feet. The pyramid's four surfaces face
the points of the compass.
Tesarik One: Surrounding the pyramid is a wall 5 feet wide and 20 feet tall.
A temple structure is attached to the south face of this wall. It is the only
existing way through the pyramid's wall. Stairs lead up to
Roguish Luck: [Mm.. Most he could establish is the way they fight.]
Tesarik One: a platform in front of the temple's entrance. Behind the temple
(you must go through the temple to reach it), running up the south face of
the pyramid, a stairway rises 50 feet up to a platform and
Tesarik One: an opening into the pyramid.
Tesarik One: (ok)
Tesarik One: "Why are you here?" asks one Thane Dervish, in Thanic.
Tesarik One: You can roll an insight if you wish, Logen.
Tesarik One: For everyone else, it's just a matter of you going up the
stairs and into the temple.
Roguish Luck: "Looking for the guilty, the law breakers from east of the
mountain ranges... Would that be you all..?" [Piercing Thought-Autopass
Insight]
Tesarik One: Is he speaking Thanic?
Roguish Luck: [Mmh, scratch that.]
SwordOfAtrophy: First bet was to secure the camels somewhere, where they
would hopefully be out of the weather and what not. Looking about, he didn't
spy Logen, which he figured at this point he wouldn't since he said he
couldn't wait. He waited by
SwordOfAtrophy: the door until everyone was settled, and ready to go in,
then onward! ....or some junk.
Fun Size Fantasy: Elly would normally make a comment about why'd it have to
be stairs but she was still flying. Once she rejoined the others, she was
able to grasp her gear off of her camel. Though she was a little tired from
the rush, she double
Roguish Luck: "Speak Common, Ancient or Voivan... All other communication is
lost..."
Tesarik One: One of the Dervish, a female, steps forward. Her hand on her
blade, and speaks in common, "Why are you here?"
Fun Size Fantasy: checked that everything was right where it needed to be.
Including the Ring that would allow her to read and possibly speak Thanic.
Since Devin was taking a nap somewhere.
psionic wanderer: Well, there it was! He didn't know nearly enough about the
cultures here to make a judgement on what was happening, but it didn't look
entirely unfamiliar either. So, time to head on up the stairs! He dismounted
the camel and gave
psionic wanderer: it a pat on the snout, secured it with the others, then
started up the stairs.
Roguish Luck: "What do you think a Northman is doing in a place, following
the only trail leading to it..?"
Tesarik One: "Treasure?" the Dervish furrows her brow, the others whisper to
each other.
Tesarik One: In front of the temple is a broken lime-cement basin, 100 feet
in diameter, with no apparent openings in the bottom lies before you. The
dried basin empties into a deep channel that cuts a path into
Tesarik One: the desert ground, as if it once fed the land with water. The
doors into the temple are easy enough to enter, where you will find Logen
having a conversation with a group of Thane Dervishes.
Unyielding Dark: Andraste dismounted as soon as she was able. Checking ot
make sure she had everythign she needed before she followed up. She followed
in to where Logen was, keeping silent for the moment as she tried to
determine what was going on.
Roguish Luck: Logen turned to face the Dervish, casting his blue eyes in her
direction. "My business is with the Vizier of Fire... I've been trailing him
since the statue back past the oasis... This -is- the temple of Amun-Re... My
instinct told
Unyielding Dark: Her thumb ran along her fingertips of her right hand,
attempting to keep herself grounded and focused. [d]
Roguish Luck: me to come here.. His stink is on the winds surrounding this
place." So he already knew he had been here... Whether or not they
acknowledged it...well...[d]
Gemmed Wings: Celeste would dismount and dust herself off as she would then
start heading for the stairs with the others as soon as her camel was
tethered and pated. It had been a long time since she had raided a pyrmaid
and she had to wonder
Tesarik One: Her face takes on a shocked look when he says Vizier of Fire,
and she yells out to the others in Thanic, "I told you I felt evil enter not
long ago! Now this northman says he follows the Vizier of Fire!"
Gemmed Wings: if there was any preserved dates or ancient gems, both were
delicious.-d
Tesarik One: Back to common, "We are here with our Holy Laseda searching for
a group of Dervish that disappeared. All we know is that they came here, and
disappeared. We have not been here very long, but not long ago I felt a roll
of evil upon
Tesarik One: me, but we saw nothing. The Holy Laseda has not said a word
since then."
Tesarik One: Off the camel, getting anything she needed, and up the stairs
she went. She paused at the empty basin, and looked out over the land. Hard
to believe this was a flourishing land at one time and a curse had turned it
to desert. But,
Tesarik One: stranger things had happened. She walked into the temple with
the others, listening.
Valiant Madcap: Oh, we're here. Good job Francine. -He stroked the camel and
then got up off it so he could secure it with the rest of the camels- Sounds
like fun stuff is going on in there.. I wonder if I should have put on clean
undies! -d
Tesarik One: "Our Holy Laseda is beyond those doors." She pointed across the
torchlit room to a set of doors, which were open.
Roguish Luck: "Things are likely... to get destructive... I suggest
leaving... Unless you're bandits escaping the far reaching hand of the
eastern siekh..." Eyes followed the direction to which she pointed. A nod of
his head was made and Logen
Roguish Luck: moved on to walk through the doors. Be it a trap or no, Logen
was progressing. He really didn't care to chase down 'bandits' as it were.[d]
Tesarik One: "We are not bandits, we are good people, who protect this land
and people as much as we are able from bandits. If there are bandits here, we
did not see them but we have not been here long. Only a handful of hours."
She bowed to
Tesarik One: Logen, and then to the others and many of them headed outside.
Tesarik One: This large room is the High Altar of Amun-Re, and it is lit by
torches along the walls. The torches cast flickering lights on the very
decorative carved walls and high, domed ceiling. A Dervish cleric, the Holy
Laseda, stands at an
SwordOfAtrophy: Chances of these being who they actually sought? Not great,
not really even good, but there was more pressing matters at hand. Falling
into step, moving from one room to the next. Hopefully the Laseda, being from
the area, would

around him, casually studying the wall carvings. The Holy Laseda is reading a
large white book with platinum fittings. There is a doorway to the left,
worked into the
Tesarik One: wall itself. The Dervish have not been able to open it.
Fun Size Fantasy: The fact that a simple curse had doomed his people all
because he was a greedy jerk was not lost on Elly.. should they actually help
this man? Well that whole genie bit meant they really had no choice in the
manner. Elly set back
Fun Size Fantasy: down onto her feet and eyed the people that they had been
chatting with before moving to follow into the other room. Twisting the ring
they had been given as she slipped inside. Last time she'd gone about
reading things it had
Tesarik One: Entering into this large room, she had to admit it was quite
beautiful and ornate. She did like pretty things, despite the fact they had a
monster to catch and a curse to break. She began looking at the walls
herself, to see if
Tesarik One: anything looked interesting.
Tesarik One: Everyone can make either a Spot, or a Search. State which you
are doing.
Fun Size Fantasy: gotten interesting real fast. Moving along the room, she
kept her eyes peeled for anything that stood out much like the carvings she
had seen in the temple with the genie.

Vizier of Fire... And it's a race to get to the Gem and Staff to see him
destroyed.."[d]

does his spirit come that he may commune with men" it is in Thanic though.
Tesarik One: So if you can't read Thanic you just find the words.
Fun Size Fantasy: Elly continued to look around until she got to the statue
of Amun-Re. Her fingers reaching out to grasp at the statue to see if it
wiggled even a little bit with a little gnome tinkering.
Tesarik One: The Holy Laseda turns and looks at the group, then steps aside.
"I and my people have not found a way in yet. Though there is a way in, for
we search for a group of Dervish that entered. I know from this book that

sooner or later, however.

traps and dead ends that we are sure our people are trapped in. The book
says that no treasure from this tomb has ever been seen, so it is assumed
that it has not been
Tesarik One: breached. It also speaks of a curse (and he tells you of
Amun-Re's story in abbreviated form). We can guard the temple for you if you
find your way in. Please seek out our people while you are in."
SwordOfAtrophy: He didn't seem to notice much of anything, except the
Laseda's men moving about. He saw Elly play with the statue a moment, then
Dash mentioned words. He gave a glance. No, he didn't read it either. "Is
there something up with the

were not so lucky."

Fun Size Fantasy: Elly let out a surprised noise when something finally
happened then looked up triumphantly like she was a superhero.
"AndThatWater..Talks."
Unyielding Dark: "...the statue has a breeze." She spoke softly, her head
turning towards the statue as it blew out the air that she was referring to.
Her jaw tightened a touch, thoughts unsaid as she simply focused. Her form
came to move, closer
Tesarik One: At the end of the passageway an archway opens up to the stairs
that lead up to the pyramid. If you are ready to enter the pyramid, then
please do so!
Unyielding Dark: toward the statue and the passageway that called to her.
Her hand lifted, towards the statue, waiting a moment before she turned her
head back toward the passage. Eager... but waiting for the others. [d]
Tesarik One: You all have a map via email!
SwordOfAtrophy: "Seems we discovered the back door." Tee hee, that's she
said. Logen would undoubtedly wish to go first, so he'd wait and cover the
rear after everyone filed on in.
Fun Size Fantasy: Dangerous DM with maps..! Alert Alert!
Valiant Madcap: Alright Elly! You are the most talented person here! The
best! You did it! -He was now her cheerleader since she found the way to
progress them on their path, but if she got them killed he was gonna get mad-
-d
Roguish Luck: Logen took in a deep breath and let it exhale in a steady
stream. Beyond the threshold, he stepped going up the stairs and moving into
the pyramid to take point on the matter. "...If by chance I lose my mind...
Run." Spoken to just
Roguish Luck: about everyone behind him. He'd feel right guilty if they
didn't. [d]
Gemmed Wings: Least we didn't break anything to find it. Let's go see what
we can find. Dibs on any really pretty necklaces and jewels! - A small laugh
as she figured they would end up just finding undeath monsters and sad in
there. - Think some
Tesarik One: (L1) You are at a platform in front of the entrance, which is
pushed open wide enough for you all to squeeze in. There are intricate
carvings of animals on the walls, and two statues face each other on either
side of the opening.

kept her as sane as she normally was! A salute was given to the Holy Laseda.

Unyielding Dark: She heard his words, though she cound not respond to them.
Her head shook slightly, though likely not caught by the others as it was
very subtle. She did not like the idea of leaving him even if his mind was
taken from his control.
Tesarik One: (L2) This is a vast room of coold darkness with a flat ceiling
20 feet high. Support pillars, four on each side, stand 10 feet from east and
west walls. Both the walls and pillars are of intricate design. Just inside
the entrance,
Fun Size Fantasy: AndSendThemBack..." Least they could do.
"YouStayHereAndHallowTheGroundIfWeDon'tReturn..." No need for them to become
undead. Elly grinned a little and moved to follow the others.
Tesarik One: at the south end of the side walls, 4 foot wide corridors lead
to the east and the west.
Tesarik One: West goes to L3, East goes to L4. I would suggest staying
together please.
Unyielding Dark: She said nothing, however, following into the room as the
place seemed different than she expected. She held herself from touching
anything just yet, though the desire to gain vision from her surroundings was
great. [d]
Tesarik One: The Holy Laseda bowed to them as they exited the temple.
Roguish Luck: "You'd be more dangerous to lose your mind, Ellywick." Logen
progressed as far as he could until he had to make a real decision in which
way to go. With a study of each path to take, dwelled and considered, Logen
piped up his motto
Tesarik One: If you are able to find/ see secret doors let me know in IM.
Roguish Luck: when choosing a path.. "Left is always right."
Roguish Luck: Though, if given the option. Scent.
Tesarik One: Roll a Perception for your Scent.
Valiant Madcap: Elly.. has her mind? -She was already one crazy little gnome
and he loved that about her so he was sticking with her and following along
that path. Elly would lead them to victory- I feel like.. I should have
snacks to give to you

Fun Size Fantasy: Elly wanted Elly snacks! But she moved to look around and
remembered the last time they had come to ap lace like this. Taking a deep
breath, the little gnome concentrated as the gnomen slipped from her lips to
grant her the
Fun Size Fantasy: ability to see that which wasn't normally seen even with
her eyes. [Spell: Detect Secret Doors ] As soon as the magic slid across
her body and her body finished the shiver from the surge of energy, she took
a better look
Tesarik One: "Maybe we should choose a leader to decide where we go, because
if we have to go through a maze like the Laseda said, if we are going to talk
and think and wait for every single decision it's going to take us forever to
find
Tesarik One: anything."
Fun Size Fantasy: around to see what she could find. "HeySubtle..
WouldStraightbeBetterThanLeft?"
Gemmed Wings: Following the rest she would for now look around at the place
and then to Elly. - What do you see Elly?
SwordOfAtrophy: When in doubt, go left, was the typical adventure motto, so
he agreed. Though three paths didn't seem like much of a maze.
Fun Size Fantasy: "A door."
Fun Size Fantasy: The little gnome moved to go straight across from where
they had come in to touch the carefully hidden door within the wall.
Roguish Luck: "It's your call, Ellywick." Logen was happy to put it back in
her hands.
psionic wanderer: "I'm with her." Said with a gesture to the white-haired
lady. "Someone just pick a direction, and the rest of us will follow." Unless
some of them were dumb and went off on their own, of course. He watched the
gnome to see what she
psionic wanderer: was up to, ready to follow since it was at least
somewhere.
Tesarik One: The secret door clicked open, and a dark room was ahead of
them. By the way no torches are lit in here from now on, so if you have
darksight or use torches, etc you are going to have to do that.
Fun Size Fantasy: Damn it was dark. "AnyoneNeedDarkSight Potions? " She
had that and magic of course but she wanted to get rid of the potions.
Tesarik One: (L7) This is a worship room and has archways to the East and
West. There are no writings on the walls and the ceiling is flat. Against the
center of the north walls is a 20 foot tall statue of Amun-Re.
psionic wanderer: "Only if you don't want me turning on a light."
Unyielding Dark: "Mazes are not my... forte." She spoke quietly, her head
turned towards the others, pretty much saying that she was hoping no one was
expecting her to lead. Her form moved twoards Logen instead, keeping close to
the Northman. [d]
Gemmed Wings: Having darksight ment she could see as she stepped into the
room as she looked up at the statue. " They really did treat him as a
god.."
Tesarik One: (Darksight in use) She moved in following the others, readying
herself with healing because one never knew what nasty traps were in pyramids
of this sort.
Valiant Madcap: Hey make sure there is nothing in there that is going to eat
you Celeste! -His eyes would slit like a dragon's eye and he would go in
after them to peek into the darkness- (Darksight in use)
Fun Size Fantasy: "Your call. TheyTasteLikeCarrots.." She handed the
astronaut one from her bottomeless pockets and then ran to catch up with the
others as she took one for herself. Yum.. carrot juice. Then as soon as
they were sindie she paused to
SwordOfAtrophy: "Well, as a tomb, it's supposed to glorify him as much as
possible." Tagging along at the rear. "I cannot see in the dark persay,
though that doesn't prevent me from fighting within it."
Tesarik One: "I can use a spell to give darksight as well, so Elly does not
have to use up her potions." She moved up near Olan, "Would you wish
darksight?"
Roguish Luck: Others felt empowered to move ahead and so Logen allowed them
to do so. His foot steps carried him forward, partnered with the Farseer.
"Elly... You know what we're looking for, right..?"
psionic wanderer: "Fine with me." He tapped the side of his helmet to
retract the face shield, then drank the offered potion. Carrots were better
than plenty of other options.
Tesarik One: At least it didn't make people speak in Limericks.
Fun Size Fantasy: look around. And see what she felt. "AnotherDoor.."
SwordOfAtrophy: "It certainly would not hurt." It was her magical energy to
expel as she wished. "Thank you."
Tesarik One: So you can go East, West.... or through Elly's secret door into
L8.
Tesarik One: A touch, and he would find himself with darksight as Tally cast
the spell. (Darksight on Olan)
Fun Size Fantasy: She pointed towards the statue after she said it.

they like to use those as traps... normally one real one fake...
SwordOfAtrophy: "If it's his ferry fee to the underworld, then it's likely
in the main tomb, in any case."
Fun Size Fantasy: She had been the one to talk and speak with the oasis when
he ran off on his hunt. Her eyes looked up at him for a moment.

Tesarik One: So you guys need to decide on movement a little faster or we
will never get anywhere. You aren't even in the "maze" yet. LOL. I suggest
letting someone take lead on this.
Tesarik One: Elly, since she can see secret doors perhaps?
Unyielding Dark: [ I vote Elly ]
Valiant Madcap: [ Elly ]
Roguish Luck: [Sounds good.]
Gemmed Wings: (elly)
SwordOfAtrophy: (Right-o)
Tesarik One: Ok Elly, East, West or Secret Door?
Fun Size Fantasy: Secret Door.
Roguish Luck: "Bandits, lost adventurers, staff, star gem and a way home."
Tesarik One: The statue moves again, revealing a corridor.
Tesarik One: An 8 foot wide corridor leads down in a 23 degree angle. A
musty smell pervades the area and dust covers the floor.... but in the dust,
you can make out a good number of footprints of those that came
Tesarik One: before you. This corridor ends at (L9).
Tesarik One: (L9) Great Worship Room: The north wall of this room is lined
with three statues of Amun-Re. There are also two statues of Amun-Re on the
side walls. In the center stands an altar. Side by side impressions of a left
and right hand
SwordOfAtrophy: That was a good sign, he doubted the Efreeti left
footprints, so they were likely on the trail of the missing dervishes. The
Fizz bandeau prevented sneak attacks at least, if the genie got any ideas.
Tesarik One: are carved into the altar. on the ceiling and remaining walls
"Amun-Re" is carved in every language known to man, and perhaps some that
aren't around anymore.
Fun Size Fantasy: One thing at a time was something she had learned on these
things. She moved down the hallway, with her sense of locked doors seeking
out something fun to play with. Her feet moved to not walk in the footprints
made before until
Tesarik One: To everyone but Elly it looks like a dead end.
Roguish Luck: Whenever he buys a hunting dog... he's going to name it Elly.
Fun Size Fantasy: they found yet another room full of the former man turned
ghost. She took the time to look around at everything to make sure she
wasn't going to kill someone with a trap. She had a rezz coin.. right boob
pocket. "Two More Doors
Fun Size Fantasy: and.. I'm betting.." Her voice was slow as she thought
out the puzzle before them and then she moved to get up onto the altar.
Seeing if her hands will fit in the handprints.
"It'sLikePlayingInMyDadddy'sGloves.."
Tesarik One: The hands were medium sized, but Elly's little hands could fit
well enough.
Fun Size Fantasy: Still she waited for everyone to make their way in.. Why?
Because sometimes when you opened one door another one shut!
Tesarik One: She followed behind the others, she couldn't fight so she was
near the end, ready to heal if necessary still!
Valiant Madcap: -He was doing the drunk shuffle behind Elly- You think they
have any ceremonial wine in here? -d
Roguish Luck: The Northman was casually following along, playing follow the
leader.[d]
SwordOfAtrophy: He almost expected her to do the whole scream like the
statue took her hands off. Though he stayed by the rear door, just in case
they were being followed, or it tried to shut.
Tesarik One: "If so, it is probably dried up or very rotten," she said to
Sloane with a grin.
Roguish Luck: "Unless it's still the cask.... Then it's gonna be potent as
all Hell..."
Fun Size Fantasy: Then she would say the God's name earnestly as if talking
to the altar. "Amun-Re" is a narcissist.
Tesarik One: The statue to the east began to grind and open as the hands
were placed and Amun-Re spoken, revealing a dark corridor.
Fun Size Fantasy: Glad that she wasn't going to have to ask someone bigger
than her to get that done, Elly frowned and moved over to the northern door
to see what was wrong with it. Both doors being open would help decisions!
Unyielding Dark: With a Farseer shadow not but a few paces behind. Her head
tilted though, taking in the sounds around her. "Could still be in the cask.
Not uncommon, I would think..." Of course, it would likely put them all on
their arses just by
Tesarik One: "This seems too easy for a tomb that is said to be unable to
break into it," she mumbled.
Unyielding Dark: smelling it. "It always seems too easy until suddenly you
let out a curse upon the land..." Obviously referencing the situation they
were already in. [d]
Fun Size Fantasy:
"TheOasisVoiceSaidItCouldBeDone..Just..Hard.MaybeItWouldBeHarderWithoutMySpell?"
Tesarik One: The northern door opens into an alcove where there are some
crates full of .... trinkets it looks like. Small golden statues of the
pyramid, and of Amun-Re. Souvenirs!
Fun Size Fantasy: "Hey..Subtle..IFoundGOODstuff."
Fun Size Fantasy: Someone else has to touch it.
Tesarik One: Written in Thanic across the pyramid says, "My parents went to
see Amun-Re and all I got was this lousy pyramid".
OnlineHost: this savage song has entered the room.
Valiant Madcap: I would still have to try it even if it was all rotted but a
cask would be nice.. Hmm.. -He peeked around with Elly when she opened the
door up and saw all the little gold statures- Ten gold says they are cursed
and if we take any
OnlineHost: this savage song has left the room.
Valiant Madcap: of it we are screwed. -d
Roguish Luck: "Sometimes... it is the story.. the reputation that is the
most difficult to overcome..." Logen then approached the altar. His hands
were set upon the imprints, filling it out nicely. He'd then look up and
speak, "Osiris." As
Roguish Luck: bidding the god to welcome him to the beyond.[d]
Tesarik One: "That's true, if you could not find these doors so easily it
would definitely be harder." She peered into the open door, while they looked
at the loor. It was dark but she could see well enough. "The passage turns
north."
Fun Size Fantasy: Hey.. something was better than nothing and you never know
when you're going to need something to put where the bag of gold once was to
keep the giant rolling rock from falling on their heads.. She turned and
watched Logen for a
Valiant Madcap: Wait, is that some mystical ordering thing? Let me get my
hands in there and say Vodka! -d
Tesarik One: The pyramid rumbled just a little as he spoke of Osiris...
maybe just a little...but nothing else happened.
Fun Size Fantasy: moment and then tucked under Tally, the joy of being
small. "AnyoneSeeAnyFootPrintsAnymore?"
Tesarik One: "Yes, there are footprints."
Tesarik One: Do you all take the trinkets?
Unyielding Dark: [ Yes. ]
Tesarik One: There is no magic radiating from them, btw.
SwordOfAtrophy: Gold statues were nice, but he'd rather not get caught by
the spirit of the guy carrying one. He simply kept a watchful eye on the
backstep, waiting for them to decide to move on. (no way)
Fun Size Fantasy: [ Elly took one .. knowing what it said.. she'll give it
to Maria.. paint over parents and put minions ]
OnlineHost: AMarieDarkrose has entered the room.
Tesarik One: Anyone who is magically inclined will also start to feel like
there is something "wrong", if you attempt any sort of teleportation/ shadow
walk, etc... it does not work.
Tesarik One: LOL
Tesarik One: Nice.
Roguish Luck: His hands withdrew from the indentation. His eyes cast down to
Elly for a moment. "This man... took Osiris seriously, as his own God,
revered higher than himself."
Valiant Madcap: (Sure I will take one!)
psionic wanderer: Did they find the pyramid gift shop? He looked at one of
the trinket statues, then picked it up and gave it a study to see if it was
actually gold or just..fake gold. Not that he would know for sure without
actually scanning it.
Valiant Madcap: -He took the fattest looking statue cause he liked chubby
bellies-
psionic wanderer: Here he thought only advanced societies were this tacky!
Tesarik One: Celeste, Dash, logen? Trinkets?
Roguish Luck: [Nah.]
Gemmed Wings: ( sorry was attacked RL)'
Gemmed Wings: ( let me catch up)
psionic wanderer: As long as it didn't seem to be gold painted plastic, he
could find a use for it. Actually he'd probably have more use for it if it
WAS plastic.
Tesarik One: Well it was solid gold, so there was that.
Roguish Luck: [Heavy as shit.]
Roguish Luck: [He'll lug one around later if he can.]
psionic wanderer: Gold could come in handy, and then he could stop melting
down all his coins.
psionic wanderer: Into the pack it went.
Tesarik One: Tally took one as well.
Fun Size Fantasy:
"ButThisWasToBeHisTomb..It'sWhyHeCan'tPassOnBecauseHeWasMoreWorriedAboutHisAfterLifeThanHisPeople.."
it was a sad tale really but something to learn from perhaps. A nod of her
head was given to the Northman and then she moved to
Gemmed Wings: ( Umm Celestr would take it and any others she could if no
one wanted.. DRAGON GREED-
Valiant Madcap: -Hell he would take two if someone did not want theirs. More
drinking money!- -d
Fun Size Fantasy: venture into the new hallway slowly.
Tesarik One: (L10) Grand Hallway: This hallway slopes down at a 20 degree
angle. The plaster from great frescoes that once covered these walls has
turned to rubble on the sloping floor. Axe and hammer marks cover
Tesarik One: the walls. Dust blankets everything and is very thick, you find
footprints as well here. A broken door is found at the far north end of the
hall. (Please roll an Insight if you wish.)
OnlineHost: Roguish Luck rolled 1 20-sided die: 4
OnlineHost: Fun Size Fantasy rolled 1 20-sided die: 16
Tesarik One: Broken doorway goes into L11.
Roguish Luck: [ Big fat 10, +1 Perception +5 Piercing Though ]
OnlineHost: Valiant Madcap rolled 1 20-sided die: 18
Valiant Madcap: (-2 = 16)
Roguish Luck: Thought*
Fun Size Fantasy: [ + 2 per , + 5 investigator = 23 ]
Gemmed Wings: Looks like the group was searching for something.... - Puts
her treasure in her bag as she looks-
OnlineHost: Gemmed Wings rolled 1 20-sided die: 8
Unyielding Dark: Andraste followed easily after snagging a trinket...
because trinkets were nice. Keeping pace with Logen and Elly. Her head tilted
towards the hallway, wondering a tad on it. [d]
OnlineHost: Unyielding Dark rolled 1 20-sided die: 11
OnlineHost: SwordOfAtrophy rolled 1 20-sided die: 8
SwordOfAtrophy: (18)
Unyielding Dark: [ 11 ]
Gemmed Wings: ( 11)
Tesarik One: 17+ look around, and see how thick the dust is, and how the
frescoes have fallen onto the broken things... and you get to thinking...
maybe this is a false tomb, because it sure looks like all this shit was
broken before anything
Tesarik One: began to fall apart. Probably a way to make robbers think it
had already been robbed, the priests broke everything so that anyone coming
in would always think someone had come before.
Tesarik One: If you keep moving through the broken door...
Tesarik One: (L11) This is the treasure room, you know because written in
lots of languages on the wall is "TREASURE ROOM" carved very large. Scattered
around are more broken pots and chests that have been hewn in
Tesarik One: half, all covered with lots and lots of dust, and footprints
lead through it. An arched corridor leads north.
SwordOfAtrophy: "Something about this, is definitely off..." They moved on
into a different room. "Well, I think that about seals it. Who would ever
write what room is for treasure..? This place is a front..."
Roguish Luck: "Or Amun-Re was getting tired of his people leaving his
treasure at the front door..."
Roguish Luck: ["To the treas---The Treasur---THE TREAURE ROOM YOU MORONS!
THE TREAUSRE ROOM!? DO I HAVE TO SPELL IT OUT!?! DO YOU NEED A MAP!?!?!?!"]
Fun Size Fantasy:
"AFalseRoom..DestroyedToLeadPeopleToThinkThatThingsHadAlreadyBeenTaken....
IstillSeeFootprints.."
Tesarik One: "This is ridiculous." She snickered, because it was rather
inventive for the people and probably fooled the dummies! But not all.... it
would not fool them all.
Tesarik One: Roll a Spot if you wish to look further into the footprints.
Tesarik One: Also, if you keep going to the final room L12...
Tesarik One: (L12) This room is 30 feet wide and pitch dark like the other
areas. In the center of this 20 foot tall room sits the sarcophagus, a large
ornate stone coffin. Its lid is ajar and broken. It contains
Tesarik One: nothing but dust. In the center of the north wall, Thanic is
chiseled into the stone, "Here lies the true tomb of Amun-Re. Know that you
have arrived too late to plunder my ransom for heaven's gate."
Gemmed Wings: Well could look at this two ways, one it is false or two it's
the way to th real one made to look false.. or to a horrid death,....
OnlineHost: Tesarik One rolled 1 20-sided die: 11
Tesarik One: +10 = 21
Roguish Luck: [Track/Track the Trackless]
Tesarik One: Talasyn, as you study the footprints you can tell that they
don't all lead in, some lead back out, as if people walked all around and
exited.
Tesarik One: Logen you can tell that as well then.
psionic wanderer: Hm. The treasure room. This place really was strange. Elly
made it make a bit more sense, but...who the hell would actually be fooled by
such a blatant trick? Well..probably the sort of person that decided to grave
rob
Fun Size Fantasy: Elly moved forward to check out the door and decided to
tell them what it said. "Here lies the true tomb of Amun-Re. Know that you
have arrived too late to plunder my ransom for heaven's gate." She paused.
"WhyWouldHePutThisUp
Fun Size Fantasy: There?"
psionic wanderer: professionally. He looked to Elly again when she spoke.
"...probably for the same stupid trick to get people to not go in there."
SwordOfAtrophy: "Yea, how would he know if what he had was gone..."
Valiant Madcap: Must be some kind of trick! Maybe we will also find buckets
of water on doors!
Tesarik One: "Maybe we should go back and look down those hallways we didn't
look. This just has led to nothing. Except those trinkets." She turned and
began to move back out.
Fun Size Fantasy: Elly moved over to the sarcophagus to peer around inside
just in case.
Tesarik One: Just dust.
Unyielding Dark: The others wer elooking for footprints, Andraste kept
listening and simply observing the rooms they moved through with her senses.
She really didn't have a great deal to add in this regard. Not to distract
others and stay close to
Unyielding Dark: the Northman. [d]
Tesarik One: Elly, you can go back and look in L3, L4, L5 or L6. Which do
you choose?
SwordOfAtrophy: "I guess the best way to hide a secret would be a secret
door that doesn't hide the secret."
Roguish Luck: "Dangerous to peer inside sarcophaguses... I almost killed
everyone last time I did that..."
Tesarik One: "The steps lead back out," she sniffed the air, and was
following the footprints as well as she could. Though not getting very far
from the group.
Fun Size Fantasy: ( L6.. after the secret doors.. you go left ! _)
"I'mStartingToLikeAndDislikeThisMan" She had almost hopped in but when Tally
said go back, she let out a huff. "Lets'"
Tesarik One: (L6) East Storage Silo. This opens into a vertical shaft 30
feet in diameter, its wet and slimy walls dropping down into darkness. A
domed ceiling peaks 30 feet above the arched opening. The air is very humid
here, and before you
Tesarik One: even reach this room, everyone can hear the sound of cascading
water down in the shaft.
Valiant Madcap: Oh.. that sound is gonna make me have to pee. -A huff, this
place was too out there for him to follow so he sure hoped Elly was picking
all the right spots- -d
Roguish Luck: Logen was discerning the footprints and their directions,
focusing all of his senses on the scents in the air, the disturbed dust and
the sounds that might have been that would lead him in a possible different
direction...There
Roguish Luck: hadn't been a threat yet, so he wasn't so worried about
splitting off with the rest.... He could likely easily find them once
more...[d]
Fun Size Fantasy: ( Sorry had to go make the dog come in from the smokey )
Roguish Luck: [Your dog smokes?[
Unyielding Dark: "Water." Andraste mentioned off-handed, her head lifting
towards the sound. She could feel the change in the air, her head turned
towards the sound of Logen, his presence moving off from the others. She went
with him, sticking close
Fun Size Fantasy: [ We have wildfires nearby or something.. been bad all
week ]
psionic wanderer: (That's a hardcore dog)
Unyielding Dark: to his presence and the sound of his spurs upon the ground
as they went. [d]
Tesarik One: (L5) This opens into a vertical circular shaft with wet, slime
covered walls as well dropping into the darkness. A domed ceiling peaks at 30
feet above. The air is humid, and the water is very murky and still.
Gemmed Wings: Celeste was looking about herself as she thought about all
this, these were the kind of misleading things a dragon would have in thier
den to hide the truth-d
Tesarik One: (there's wildfires in NC)
Tesarik One: (near Lake Lure)
psionic wanderer: (That's no good)
SwordOfAtrophy: (they're coming to get me)
AMarieDarkrose: (( seen them on the news here)
Tesarik One: Oops didn't mean to post L5 yet. But there you go.
Fun Size Fantasy: (( We have 10,000 acres in N Georgia that's already burned
))
AMarieDarkrose: (( sorry to hear that fun)
Tesarik One: We've got about 45 minutes left, let's keep moving!
Fun Size Fantasy: Elly looked down into the shaft of L6 ..
"WeGoingDownOrTryingAnotherRoom?"
SwordOfAtrophy: "Is this some kind of well, You think?"
OnlineHost: AMarieDarkrose has left the room.
Tesarik One: L5 and L6 are storage silos... apparently water storage of some
sort. Though the story you know of Amun-Re that does seem to make sense,
along with the pool you saw out front. Just, the water wasn't getting to the
fountain.
Valiant Madcap: Anyone have a rope? We can send someone down first and see
what is at the bottom and if it is bad, pull them up!
Gemmed Wings: Well if his tome is there then it's going to be really
gross.. - Celeste would chuckle- I think I can just use my wings Sloane..
Fun Size Fantasy:
"WhatIfTheWaterFromTheBasinWasn'tMagicallyShutOffButJustDivertedSomehow?"
It was a conspiracy theory as she moved towards the other room. Pausing when
she saw the statue that led south and moved over to push on the statue
Tesarik One: So you are going to fly down the shaft?
Fun Size Fantasy: to see if it opens into anything fun.
Tesarik One: That the secret door into L3, Elly?
Fun Size Fantasy: Yes Ma'am
Tesarik One: (L3) West Offering Temple: It's a 30 foot square room with 20
foot tall walls rising to a domed ceiling. In the center of the north wall is
a statue of Amun-Re (you just came in that way). The walls are covered in old
Thanic.
Gemmed Wings: Not yet cause she was watching Elly and would follow her for
the moment because that gnome seemed to have all the answers and she did NOT
want to get down there then Elly accidently closing the way out.-d
Fun Size Fantasy: Would she do that?
SwordOfAtrophy: Is water wet?
Tesarik One: It says in Thanic: It was said throughout the land that from
that time forth those that entered the tomb, either came forth saying that
its riches were already plundered or else they never returned
Tesarik One: again.
Tesarik One: That day did the river run dry and the rains disappear, the
arid sun burned into the land and everything withered from its gaze.
Tesarik One: The people, too, dried up and blew away Like the grass that
withered Beneath their Feet.
Tesarik One: All now that Remains is I who tend this temple, in the hopes
that some soul might turn that terrible wrath of Amun-re. I also sell
trinkets to the tribesman, however sales have recently been low.
Tesarik One: The building of the pyramid was a colossal feat, especially in
the bad years, the gold piece had been lowered in value so many times that
the people began to wonder if there was any future in the
Tesarik One: gold piece at all.
Tesarik One: The trade business died away after the first four years and now
here am I holding 12 cases of pyramid statues. Oh for the days when a priest
could earn a honest gold piece.
Fun Size Fantasy: And Elly did story time.. only faster and more legible
because Pam typed it all.
SwordOfAtrophy: The more the explored, the less things seemed to make sense.
"So what was this place, some sort of tourist spot? Maybe the real pyramid
was behind that unassailable door., after all."
Tesarik One: So L4 is all that's left!
Fun Size Fantasy: The ultimate left.. when coming backwards..
Gemmed Wings: A tourist trap.. we found the world's pldest tourist trap....
Gemmed Wings: oldest*
Tesarik One: Snicker.
Tesarik One: Yes you did.
SwordOfAtrophy: You fiend.
Tesarik One: So since L4 is all that's left....
Tesarik One: (L4) LAST but not LEAST - This is a 30 foot square room with 20
foot tall walls capped by a domed ceiling. Torches attached to the walls are
actually lit, and in the center of the north wall is a 20
Tesarik One: foot statue of Amun-Re. His visage is etched in your mind by
now isn't it? His arms are outstretched, and he holds an altar bowl of
blazing fire near his chest some 15 feet above the floor. A stone
Tesarik One: staircase goes up to the bowl.
Fun Size Fantasy: Elly's going to pee in the bowl... nobody look.
SwordOfAtrophy: He was thinking the same thing.
Gemmed Wings: Ceslete was laughing as she followd the others after hearing
the stroy. " I like the guy.. he had a sense of humor.."
Fun Size Fantasy: Maybe not.. but she did go up to the fire.. fire was
pretty?
Tesarik One: The fire also was not hot, Elly.
psionic wanderer: Well at least he'd have a story to tell AMEE when he got
back. This planet's egyptians were a lot stranger than his. Assuming he got
back. At least he hadn't fallen half to his doom this time.
Fun Size Fantasy: She's Immune anyway.
Valiant Madcap: -Wants to pee on things too-
Fun Size Fantasy: Elly hopped into the bowl. "IWillMissYouAll.."
SwordOfAtrophy: "I'm going to be really despondant if there's.. something
like a well under that fire bowl."
Roguish Luck: Logen continued following foot prints..
Tesarik One: The bowl of fire has steps that go into it, once you are up
high you see that it leads to the center of the bowl.
Tesarik One: Poof. Elly disappears.
Unyielding Dark: With his Farseer shadow. [d]
SwordOfAtrophy: Not again.
Fun Size Fantasy: She didn't fall this time
Unyielding Dark: [ test ]
Tesarik One: Elly's in the Maze.
Roguish Luck: [Pass.]
Fun Size Fantasy: Someone should tell the ones that wandered off.
SwordOfAtrophy: "What the..." After what happened the last time Elly was on
her own, the moment she vanished he was moving to the stairs, ascending two
and a time for the fire bowl. "Sort of sorcery is this..?"
Gemmed Wings: Ummm we just lost a gnome.. - Celeste would dart up the stairs
after Elly and was hot on Olan's heels- Do you see her?!
Tesarik One: She was nowhere to be found!
Tesarik One: Elly, though teleportation doesn't work you can use your
insignia.
OnlineHost: Unyielding Dark has left the room.
OnlineHost: Unyielding Dark has entered the room.
SwordOfAtrophy: He swiftly rushed a hand through the fire, to see if it
burned him or not. Clearly there had to be some sort of trick.
psionic wanderer: Oh dear. She'd either burned to a crisp instantly or
wandered off, possibly to release another horrible thing. Brow furrowed, and
he watched to see what happened with the other one heading to the bowl.
Fun Size Fantasy: She's giggling and waiting for someone else to come!
Tesarik One: Poof. Olan disappears.
SwordOfAtrophy: That was unexpected.
Fun Size Fantasy: Assuming she wasn't in complete dark, Elly rejoiced at the
sight of the big man. "WhatYouGuysWaitingFor..I'mGonnaDieOverHereByMyself!"
SwordOfAtrophy: "Miss Ellywick.. I think we need to have a talk..."
Gemmed Wings: Celeste would call out over the insignia " Hey we found
something Elly and Olan just vanished.. Meet me at the statue with the
stairs!"
Valiant Madcap: Elly! -He gasped as he saw Elly and now Olan get into
trouble and poof away! Rushing up to the bowl he would look at it and start
spitting at the flame- Die! Die Flame! You killed my friends! I hate fire
now! I hate you! -He tried
Valiant Madcap: to punch the flame- -d
Fun Size Fantasy: "WhyOlan?"
Gemmed Wings: Sloane.... - She grabed his arm and pulled him back-
SwordOfAtrophy: "I don't know. Parenting?"
Tesarik One: She moved around the room, blinking a little when Elly, then
Olan stepped into the flames. She couldn't tell they were not hot where she
was. She moved up the stairs as well and stood behind the others, "Should we
follow?"
SwordOfAtrophy: "I believe, we have discovered the maze."
Tesarik One: As for the room that Olan and Elly are in.....
Valiant Madcap: I'll kill it! She was too young to be burned to ash!
Tesarik One: You are in an octagonal room 30 feet across. There are four
arched exits (1, 2, 3, 4). Each wall looks exactly like the other walls, and
each exit looks exactly like the other exits. There is a dome
Tesarik One: ceiling 30 feet above the floor. A skeleton lies in the center
of the floor holding a sword in his extended arm above his head. This points
toward one of the exits (Exit 2). Each exit is filled with a
Tesarik One: rust-orange mist that is slightly sulfuric in smell. There is a
lever set in each wall, and a sign above each lever saying, "Pull Me" in
several languages. The levers pull upwards.
Roguish Luck: "They can solve it, I'm looking for the lost Dervishes."
Gemmed Wings: I have a rope here - She would pull out the rope and tie
it about her waist.- I'll walk through and see if U can get them and you
guys pull me back out..
Gemmed Wings: I*
Gemmed Wings: ( sorry getting sleepy)
Tesarik One: Those trailing the footprints find they go up the stairs as
well, and disappear in the bowl.
Unyielding Dark: Her head turned towards where they had moved away from the
others. "Something to checkout, mayhaps?" She asked towards Logen, though she
continued to follow him as he went following a trail she couldn't see. [d]
Fun Size Fantasy: "Parenting?.. I'mNotAParent.."
Roguish Luck: Well...They hadn't walked far...
SwordOfAtrophy: "Never mind." He eyed all the arches and the skeleton. "Now
this looks more like a proper maze."
Valiant Madcap: (Does punching the fire in the bowl poof you?)
Tesarik One: I would rather everyone stay together in the maze so Elly and
Olan, please wait for whoever is going to join you.
Tesarik One: No, you have to step inside it.
Tesarik One: But you do find that it isn't hot, nor is it cold. It's just an
illusion.
Tesarik One: Is anyone else going to follow the footprints of the bandits /
dervishes and/or Elly and Olan?
Fun Size Fantasy: "YeahThisWillBeFunWhenEveryoneFinallyMovesTheirAsses."
She moved to walk around waiting for the rest of their party to get there.
Roguish Luck: Logen would lead Andraste up the stairs, coaching her steps on
height and progression before simply dragging her into the fire with him.[d]
Valiant Madcap: Hmm.. that is not real fire. That is pretending to be fire..
-He would nod to Celeste and not really wait for her to tie off her rope
before he helped her into the bowl of fire- Find out! -d
Tesarik One: She tugged on Dashiell, "We need to follow, I don't want anyone
left behind."
Unyielding Dark: "Through the flames like the storm, Northman?" She asked
now instead. Though, she couldn't feel flames.... which was odd. Normally
even the heat danced in a way. Her jaw tightened a touch, though then she was
being ushered. Not
Roguish Luck: And there he goes on auto-pilot, following Elly.
Unyielding Dark: being able to feel the flames, she didn't hesitate. [d]
Tesarik One: Sorry, I thougth Olan stepped in.
Tesarik One: thought*
SwordOfAtrophy: He would have once he realized they weren't real, just
skipped a step lol
psionic wanderer: "Well, alright. Why not?" He decided to head on over into
the fire as well. They could all die together!
Gemmed Wings: Celeste would end up falling in and crashing into Olan on the
other side still mid rope tieing.- SLOANE!
Tesarik One: Elly, Olan, Andraste, Logen... all poof into the maze area with
the levers.
Tesarik One: Dashiell, Tally!
Tesarik One: Celeste too?
SwordOfAtrophy: He caught a very lovely noble from crashing to the floor.
"Fancy meeting you here, Madame Celeste."
Tesarik One: The rope would disappear with Celeste.
Tesarik One: Since it was tied around her.
Valiant Madcap: Huh.. Hmm.. -He was so tempted to pee into it now, getting
all ready to try that out he would move up to the edge and start to undo his
pants but just before he could he slipped and fell in as well- Noooo
Gemmed Wings: (Celeste was standing there talking about tryi g to SAVE and I
guess everyone else just rushed past her ?)
Roguish Luck: [Logen would have pushed her in.]
Valiant Madcap: (Sloane beat him to it)
Tesarik One: Well Sloane appears on the floor.
Fun Size Fantasy: "SloaneJustWalkinTheFireDammit"
Valiant Madcap: -thunk- I was gonna but I thought it killed you Elly.. I was
gonna kill it back
Tesarik One: Ok do I need to post the room again?
Roguish Luck: "Alright Elly... Chop chop.."
Unyielding Dark: Portal. It was a godforsaken portal! Andraste tensed when
they reached the other side, her body trembling like a fly-bitten horse as
she tried to regain herself. Her hands came to her knees, her stomach
rejected the sudden transfer
Unyielding Dark: from one place to the next. In through the nose... out
through the mouth... she tired to regain herself before she lost what fluids
she had in her stomach on the floor. [d]
Unyielding Dark: [ Quirk: Portal Avoidance ]
SwordOfAtrophy: "Seems we have four choices.. Mr. Skeleton man is pointing
towards number two there.. and the levers really want to be pulled. I cannot
say that's a fantastic idea."
Tesarik One: Ok let me give you all a quick explanation before we end
tonight.
Tesarik One: So you are all in a room with four exits and four sets of
levers. Next week we will figure out what you guys do, but note OOC wise that
when you enter the mists, you feel slightly light headed. You no longer can
tell north, south,
Tesarik One: east or west. Your mind wanders as you walk. You can't see
anything, even by torch light and even by darksight in the mists. They are
magical. Any torches just look like haze. You can't count while in the mists
and you have no idea
Tesarik One: how far you've traveled. All warm blooded creatures in the mist
do leave behind heat traces so anyone with infravision can see them for a
short time. This is while in the mists. If I say you leave the mists, your
mind instantly
Tesarik One: clears.
Fun Size Fantasy: That made her cackle a little bit. "I'mImmuneToFire..
So..NowWhat? ThisPlaceReeksofBadEggs.." Hearing Logen say Chop Chop.. She
just made a face and moved towards........ STAY TUNED FOR NEXT WEEK Same
gnome time. and channel.
Tesarik One: Any questions?
Roguish Luck: Nope.
SwordOfAtrophy: Are there egg laying spiders?
Tesarik One: Also as I said, I'd rather the group not split up. This is a
maze, and if Elly is in charge she'll be deciding the lefts, rights, centers,
etc.
Tesarik One: No.
Roguish Luck: Auto-pilot, gotcha.
Tesarik One: There's a lot of cool things in the maze, a lot of bad things
too. And, there is the possibility that you guys will never find the actual
tomb. So there is that.
Tesarik One: ^v^ 11/12/2016 12:23:57 AM ^v^
