Religion on Xiang-fei
Deities of Xiang-fei
To truly ascend towards transcendence, or Tian the people of Xiang-fei must follow one of the paths of Yuyanism.
The Guardians
Religion is an important part of the typical Xian's day to day life. Each of the provinces has their own deity, but each person may offer favours to a personal deity as well. The military hold Ytia to the greatest of esteem, often above Yphy and Fikjun.
The major religion is called Yuyanism. It follows the teachings of the Yùyán jiā Sun, who scribed the word of the Dragons for the peoples of Xiang-fei. This was both a curse and a blessing for to gain the words, Sun had to give up his eyes, the ability to hear and the ability to speak. Yùyán jiā Sun lived in seclusion until the words were written before ascending to take his place in the heavens.

To truly ascend towards transcendence, or Tian the people of Xiang-fei must follow one of the paths of Yuyanism.
The Path of Honour - favoured by all branches of the military; certain customs are upheld under the moniker of this path.
The Path of Meditation - favoured by the monks of each deities temple; the path of meditation leads to true transcendence.
The Path of Wisdom - favoured by scholars and each of the ruling houses of the provinces.
The Guardians
Each province has a dragon known as a Guardian. Each Guardian has an affinity with an element, and the people of that province are blessed with certain immunities around that element. They are the only Gods that actually appear to the people.
