Fizzwinken Gadgetcracker's Gyroblender Event (DONE)

A rather amazing contraption sits outside of the Obsidian Heart Inne, looking very much like an oversized tea kettle on wheels! The gnome inventor, Fizzwinken Lugburt Gadgetcracker came into town pushing it along with a bit of effort. Fizzwinken has been given permission from Maria to set up outside the inne yet again as it was so popular last summer.

As you approach the tap room's door, he calls out to you,

"My favorite adventurers, and oh! You look like you've grown in numbers, WEE!  Lookee what Fizzwinken's got here, come up with it in me own laboratory, took me YEARS to build yes indeedly YEARS! Introducing the Gyroscopic Blending Retroknitter Adaptation Booster! Look at it, isn't it a beauty? Long name, yes, yes, so we'll just call it the Gyro-Blender. You all had such a fine time with it before, Maria called me back!"

A pause, as he allows you to look over his contraption.

"What does the Amazing Gyro-Blender do? My dear, it blends, knits and adapts whatever you toss into it, completely rebuilding it into something EVEN BETTER!!  Well, most of the time. Sometimes it just spits out a pile of broken parts. But, that's the thing with technology right?"

He opens up the tea kettle like area and motions.

"Just toss your pieces in there, and after a little bit it pops out something right in the middle here. C'mon, give it a try! Just 5,000 gold coins, a drop in the bucket for a wealthy adventurer! Aye, my price has gone up, supply and demand me friends, supply and demand! And it's not as if you won't find more treasure down the road, if it screws up, right-o? If you wanna pay me more, let's say....10,000 gold coins, I'll make sure it doesn't break anything! Still can't guarantee you'll like what it spits out though, it's RANDOM!"

*Your character must be physically able to go to the gyroblender to use it. This means that Scarred Lands SL Characters cannot participate in this event at this time. At a later date, the gyroblender will show up in the Scarred Lands.*

Here's the deal! This event will not last forever! When Fizzwinken heads out of town, you won't have the opportunity to use his machine until he decides to come back into town!

You may toss two items into the Gyro-Blender for 5,000gp. For guaranteed success it costs 10,000gp.

Before anything else is done, a plain d20 roll will be made by Fizzwinken for "Use Object". If a "1" is rolled, then EVERYTHING you have dropped into the machine is mangled beyond repair and lost forever (no you may not use Stitch in Time to fix it, it is utterly destroyed). Fizzwinken, feeling very sorry for you, will give you back your 5,000 gold.

If you'd like a guaranteed success, then you can pay 10,000gp and Fizzwinken will spend extra time to ensure that an actual item of use is created - though he (nor you) have any control over what is created. His "Use Object" roll is considered an auto-success.

Choose two items you own: magic items, enchanted weapons, special materials, etc. Toss them into the Gyro-Blender and see what comes out! No two items the same!

If you wish to add a third item, it has to be completely mundane and flavor-only such as a plain dagger, pair of shoes, a cloak, a belt, a plain gemstone, a hunk of regular leather, a feather, etc. It cannot have ANY properties, magical or otherwise. It cannot have defense, or anything. Just flavor objects.

NOTE: You may not add in any previous Fizzwinken items. If you have any items created the last times Fizzwinken was here, those are NOT to be put into the machine.

NOTE: If you pay 5,000gp I will roll dice on the message board, if I roll a 1 you lose both items for good but get back your gold. It's a risk!

LIMITS: You may use the Gyro-Blender once per character. If you have your items destroyed, then you may try again with other items if you wish until you actually have a creation.

"The Gar Clause": ONCE PER CHARACTER means one item per character, it doesn't mean you can con or finagle or pay or harass other players or use your other characters to drop in items FOR YOU in order to be greedy and get more than one Fizz item.  I reserve the right to BAN any player that attempts to cheat the system from ever using Fizzwinken again.

TERMS: Post on this forum thread, and on your post you must have the following:
1) State your Character Name, Screen Name
2) How much gold you are spending. YOU MUST HAVE THE GOLD.
3) Post EXACTLY what you are tossing into the machine. I want full descriptions, and worth if you have that.
4) Roleplay out the use of the machine.

VERY IMPORTANT to REMEMBER: You cannot further enchant, or paragon, or add defense points or add anything to a Fizzwinken item except LEGACY and MAGICALLY WARDED. Also, you may rename your Fizz item but you need to mark it with the full Fizzwinken name on your dossier as well so everyone knows it is a Fizz item.

Whatever he may have thought of the gnomish race, the wandering specimen of the race known as Fizzwinken had more than proven his worth over the last few years ... if only through the gyroblender rather than his own physical capabilities. Fortunately the device had not yet exploded in his face .. as gnomish devices all too often did if rumors were as believable as common opinion suggested! The Black Knight still made the approach to the all too obvious machine and like many others over the years handed over the coin and threw in his three blades of choice.

This beautiful bastard sword (1d6) has a black blade that twinkles like the night sky with a hilt made from bones of death knights. The hilt is designed to represent the horns tipped with violet gems branching out from a demonic face with a great open maw within which is a dark hallow. Runin runes are set into the pommel in golden script that repeat a single word “Mourn”. To anyone without Magical Affinity, this weapon functions only as a bastard sword with none of the following benefits. When a rightful wielder (someone with magical affinity) comes near or touches Mournsky the world darkens and no matter the time of day or intervening barriers for a moment you can see the night sky and you witness a shooting star falling down like a single tear drop. Mournsky cannot do damage to its owner and will even try to leap from the hand of someone attempting to use it against its owner. The owner of Mournsky can, if the weapon would kill an opponent with it's attack, choose to withhold that damage and instead leave a vicious unhealable scar, permanently blind her (or only take one eye), or remove an appendage, which leaves your opponent at 1 point above their max hp (such as 39/40). Chainsaw Sawtooth Saber [Weapon] ☼☼☼☼☼ [Metalline (adamantine default)]

Ever been in a clash of the swords and wish you could rip through the opponents sword? Here is the answer. A sword hilt with a lever, the blade of the sword (1d8) holds serrated teeth pointed downwards. Once per combat, you may activate the lever and the chainsaw engages, the teeth pull downwards into the hilt's feed where they are returned to the top of the weapon. This act causes you to sunder your opponent's weapon, destroying it completely. This will not work against legacy weapons, unless you have paid to legacy the chainsaw saber itself, and in that case the sundered legacy weapon will return to them unharmed the next day.

Sword that Never Forgets [ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ]

This 1d8 broadsword has a a thick wooden hilt wrapped in leather cord. The pommel is an intricately carved metal representation of a stern, bearded face. It is an intelligent sword that speaks Abyssal, Celestial, Common, and Infernal. It has darkvision 60 ft and has the Alert skill. In addition, the sword can heal up to 5 points of damage three times per day. The sword also remembers which foes have struck you and deals extra damage to them in retribution thereafter. If an enemy hits you with a weapon (including a natural weapon), the cudgel thereafter has a bonus of 2 higher weapon dice than normal higher than normal (making it 1d10). No disguise or shapechanging ability can guard against this ability. A sword that never forgets speaks little except during combat, during which it reminds you in stentorian tones about the transgressions of each enemy, whether it has witnessed them personally (“That bugbear hath wounded Maria most grievously”) or simply assumed wrongdoing based on creature type (“That succubus hath surely tempted many good men toward evil”).

Watching the already gathering crowd had that pale, slender brow perking. Curiosity got the better of her and she was moving forward listening to the gnomes spiel, well hell! She had two new items, why not give it a try.

It really is a one of a kind suit of armor and i still sometimes have a hard time believing that it was your machine that made it. This named sword was part of Arathex's false disguise as a cleric of Rao. It is a powerful sword though in it's own right. It is a purple mournlode longsword [1d6] of a silvery sheen with streaks of purple. It is Baneful (Undead) [this gives an extra 1d5 dmg against undead] and is enchanted with the new enchantment, Nemesis (Necromancers). Nemesis is like baneful except instead of creature types it is against types. [nemesis gives an extra +5 dmg to any creature who is a necromancer.]

--Rapier of Disarming [Weapon] ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ This extraordinary rapier (1d5) is made of a special alloy composed of white gold mixed with cold iron, mithral, and yellow gold. Strands of precious metals, like a myriad of capillary veins, run along the length of these elegant blades. The basket hilt is a work of art in itself, often composed of fragile looking metal strands interwoven with one another in a complex and often chaotic manner. Rumors say no two rapiers of disarming are the same. This weapon grants the skill "Disarm", but it allows you to use the skill up to three times in one combat. Also because of the unique makeup of the material, this weapon counts as "gold", "cold iron" and "mithral".

w/Razor Edge: Bladed weapons with the razor edge ability have been hammered to an ultra-fine edge, making it much sharper than ordinary weapons of its type. When the gem is attached to the crown, its wearer gains darkvision 60 feet, or increases her darkvision by 60 feet if she already possesses that sense. The gemstone is detachable, and can be rolled into rooms, dropped into holes, thrown through windows, or planted on a creature. Once per day, on command, the crown’s wearer gains the benefit of the clairaudience/clairvoyance spell, but uses the cat’s eye gemstone as that spell’s sensor and gains darkvision when viewing through that sensor.
