Now they've done it! They've reached a floor multiples of 20. What now? As a famous man once said...
IT'S BOSS TIME!
Really? Nobody said that? Oh well.
These floors have special rules.
1.) All runs stop at the floor before. Your group finishes 19/39/59/79/99? Then they are removed from the tower. It sounds a bit unfair, but bosses are serious business. And since they are the only floors that guarantee drops, it's better if people approach them with their utmost. The exception to the rule, is that the first and first time only you face a boss, it does not count towards your run for the week. You can do your weekly run to get to floor 19, and then fight the 20 floor boss later in the week. Or the next week, and then do a run later that week to advance.
A: But what if I have time left at the end?
Since all runs are timed, any time left over after a forced stoppage will have some value. For every ten minutes remaining on the timer (round up), you add 1% to the drop rate of the last chest. Example: 43 minutes left on the timer as the group clears Floor 19, 5% (43 rounded up to 50) will be added to the last chest. Meaning it's chance improves to 24%.
2.) Bosses are usually one powerful monster, sometimes with several parts. Options for this are often Hydra, Dragons, Cerberus, Chimera. Unlike regular tower monsters that you temper, this monster should be more powerful than most, fitting for an end boss. They have high stats, powerful skills, and aren't to be messed with. Fight at your own risk!
3.) Can the tower continue? No, the defeat of the boss will end the run, and give them credit for that floor alone. There's at least one guaranteed drop, let's not get greedy here.
A: Speaking of drops..
Floor # // Chest 1 Chest 2 Chest 3 Chest 4 Chest 5
20 100% 35% -- -- --
40 100% 70% 35% -- --
60 100% 100% 70% 25% --
80 100% 100% 100% 50% 25%
100 100% 100% 100% 75% 50%
So, when the tower has been climbed, there's a solid chance for 5 drops! Now you may think, with several people, three to five drops only extends so far. That's why..
4.) Repeating Bosses. For a few thousand tokens, a special key can be purchased from the kiosk. It allows a one time boss fight to be repeated, with the same drops as before. However, using the boss key will take up your run for the week, so keep that in mind.
5.) Once I've climbed the tower, what then? Seems like all the fun is over, isn't it? Well, no, because once you've completed floor 100, you attain a Master Key, which comes with a few special privledges.
1 - All kiosk items, including boss keys, have their prices cut in half for you. You also earn twice the amount of tokens for any given run in the tower.
2 - You no longer need to roll on your loot list. When you're assigned a drop, you get to pick off the loot list instead. Helps people complete some sets. If for some reason you don't want the drop that's been assigned to you, you get to select who it goes to instead.
3 - You have free reign to enter the tower at will. But you can only do one boss key item per week as normal. But you're capable of helping others climb the tower whenever you choose.
