There are some things you must read and agree to before you are allowed to participate in this SL. This is only for the Scarred Lands SL - if your character's origin is the Scarred Lands but they are heading out of the area, then that is different. This is for the SL that will take place IN the Scarred Lands ONLY.
1. You must speak to Mark (swordofatrophy) before you make a Scarred Lands SL character, to make sure you understand everything involved.
2. Your character must have at LEAST 4 mutations from the list. You may have more, and this must be clearly listed upon the application.
3. Speaking of applications, you must fill out a regular application, but instead of being in the Obsidian Heart Adventuring Company, you would put the Scarred Lands SL as the group you are joining.
4. MAGIC does not work well in the Scarred Lands.
- Teleportation magic at this time DOES NOT WORK. You may not take skills that involved teleportation, shadow portals or movement, or any other type of portation. Check with Mark or Pam if you aren't sure. Spells for shadow walk, teleportation, psychoportation, etc do not work either, nor do loot pieces.
- FIRE MAGIC works normally!
- If you wish to use magic items, spells, etc that is fine but you must roll a 1d100 to see if it even works. This means YES you can be a mage, psion, mystic, etc but your magic is not always going to work. 1d100 rolled - 50+ your magic works.
- This includes even simple things such as creating water, endure elements, etc.
5. The Scarred Lands is basically like a post-apocalyptic wasteland of ash and dust. Please remember this when you make your character. It is hot, dusty, and it always will be hot and dusty.
6. Even though this is not a "Private" SL in essence it kind of is private because you must agree to the logical rule that you MAY NOT pop your character into the inne or other areas around the world, or even attend any quests that aren't in the Scarred Lands because it is completely illogical that you would be going in and out of the Scarred Lands. You are part of the Scarred Lands, and you may open chat rooms IN THE SCARRED LANDS, but unless you are going to stand in line for weeks at the Iron Gate, and finally get out of the Scarred Lands for good - then you are stuck within the Scarred Lands and that is where all your roleplay should take place.
7. You will be given this:
- 1 Mundane Weapon of your Choice
(If you wish a special material you must pay that extra.)
- Wasteland Wraps +10 DEF
(This well-worn armor can be your choice of leather, chitin, metal and/or cloth and includes headwrap and goggles as well as boots or sandals.)
