Aid Melee Attack: Once per combat, if a ranger's ranged attack hits a target and does damage, this skill can then be used. The next ally or allies who make a melee attack against the same target creature before the start of the ranger’s next turn gains a +2 to Strike.
Prerequisite: Ranger, Sapphire rank
(V - Sapphire Rank)
(CC)
Bond with Terrain: A ranger forms a bond with the land itself, enabling him to assist others in such terrain. When in his favored terrain, the ranger grants all allies within line of sight and that can hear him a +2 bonus on Spot, Listen, Search, and Stealth skill checks. Also, as long as they travel with him, the ranger's allies leave no trail and can’t be tracked. The ranger can choose for the group to leave a trail, or even for specific members of the group to leave a trail if he so desires.
Prerequisites: Ranger (Primary), Favored Terrain Skill, Obsidian Rank
Chosen Terrain : Once per day, a ranger can choose a single terrain type that is not one of his chosen favored terrains. For the duration of a quest or mission, he treats that terrain as if it were one of his favored terrains.
Prerequisites: Favored Terrain, Ranger
Eagle Eye: A ranged combatant's senses have developed so keenly that he is now able to use point blank shot benefits at a distance.
Prerequisites: Point Blank Shot
Far Reaching Shot: You have learned to be accurate over longer distances. This skill doubles the range of your weapon. At Obsidian, it triples the range of your weapon.
FLAVOR
Hateful Attack: Each time the ranger makes an attack against one of his favored enemies, threat range increases by 1 step of his weapon for this attack (so a weapon that crits at 20, would crit at 19 and 20). This does not stack with other abilities that increase a weapon’s threat range.
Prerequisites: Ranger (Primary), Emerald Rank
Hunter's Shot: Once per combat, an archer can take a shot that ignores a creature's natural armor.
Prerequisite: Use a Bow, or Crossbow
Ranged Defense: A ranger gains DR 5 against ranged attacks. In addition, once per combat, he can catch an arrow fired at him and then shoot it any target he chooses. Roll Strike and proceed as normal.
Prerequisite: Ranger (Primary), Obsidian Rank
Ranged Shield Pin: When using a ranged weapon to attack an opponent within 30 feet, you may choose to deal no damage with a successful strike. Instead, you negate any benefits your target gains from their shield for one round. You can attempt this once per round against any shield-wielding opponent who is within one size category of you. You must announce before you attack that you are making a Ranged Shield Pin.
Prerequisite: Point Blank Shot
Superior Tactics: Once per adventure, after a noble and his allies roll initiatives, the noble can arrange his and his allies’ rolls any way he wishes (work with the DM and know how you want it arranged before you ask).
Prerequisites: Noble (Primary), Obsidian Rank
Vengeance Strike: A ranger may use this skill once per combat, when an enemy hits an ally with a melee or ranged attack. The ranger can choose to make a single attack against the creature who attacked his ally, even if it is not his turn. Roll Strike, if you hit then proceed with damage normally.
Prerequisite: Ranger, Ruby Rank
(V - Ruby Rank)
Urban Ranger: Instead of forming a bond with a certain terrain, an urban ranger forms a bond with a specific community. This skill follows the rules of Favored Terrain, but the ranger is instead choosing communities instead of terrains, such as Navahla, or Westby, or other cities or towns in the lands.
