Wand Duels:
This is a test of magic that anyone can participate in! Grab a wand, find a duel partner, and have at it! Amulets to protect against racial weaknesses are given to all participants! (No extra damage if you are weak to the wand's damage).

--First - State your name for the record. Someone should be logging.

--Second - Roll for your wand. All wands are 1d6 damage.
1d5
1 - Lightning
2 - Ice Shards
3 - Firestorm
4 - Rock Shards
5 - Shadow Bolts

--Third - Roll for initiative. No need to use your Quickness bonus, just roll 1d20!

--Fourth - Play the game! A wand duel is five rounds long. Whoever has the LEAST amount of damage at the end of five rounds, is declared the winner. So, the person who goes first roleplays out their attack, then rolls 1d6. If they roll a 4, then 4 is how strong their attack was, and that is added to the scoreboard by their opponent's name.

Sword & Shield Duels:
You will use training swords and wooden shields. Padded armor is available if any contestant wishes it. The following dice are to be used for both swords & shields:

Crystal & Topaz uses 1d5
Amber & Sapphire uses 1d10
Emerald and Ruby uses 1d15
Obsidian uses 1d20

There is no strike roll for this duel, nor do we use any traits for anything including initiative. Roleplay your attack, then roll your duel dice. When you roll damage for your turn, your roll is the amount of damage that you do. So for instance, if you rolled your 1d5 and rolled a 5, you would do 5 damage to the other combatant.

When you are attacked, you are then given the opportunity to defend yourself from the attack with your sword and/or shield. A defense roll is made. So, if your opponent hit you with 10 damage, and your rank lets you roll a 1d10 defense roll, and you roll a 4 defense, then you take 6 damage for that turn.

This goes five rounds. The person with the least damage at the end of five rounds is the winner.

Watermelon Seed Spitting Contest:
Very simple. The opponents line up in a row (roll init just to make it not so chaotic though it's understood everyone is spitting at the same time). Roleplay spitting the seed, then Roll 1d100. Highest roll has spit the furthest. There are 3 rounds. Each round add in the roll made. The person with the longest spits together is the winner. (Ex: If someone rolls a 25, a 10, and a 50 their final score would be 85.)

Water Jousting
Use the normal jousting rules, but note that you are on a small boat with people manning the oars for you, with shield and lance. Your ship approaches the opponent's ship and you attempt to strike your opponent. An unseat, puts your opponent in the water!

Horse Racing

Marksmanship

Wrestling
The object of wrestling is to pin your opponent to the ground.

1. State your name and Defense DC, and roll for initiative to see who posts and rolls first in Round One. Starting Round Two, your opponent goes first, and you switch back and forth after that. You MAY add your Quickness to your initiative.

2. The first player each round will attempt to set up a takedown. Roll your 1d20 + Quickness to see if you hit your opponent's Defense DC. Rolling a 20 is a instant takedown, and you get 10 points. Rolling a 1 is Unnecessary Roughness and you take a -5 Points.

3. If you hit, then roll to see what sort of takedown move you are making. If you make your takedown, there are points associated with the various moves.

1d6
1 - Arm Drag : 1 Point
2 - Single Leg Sweep : 2 Points
3 - Fireman's Carry : 3 Points
4 - Snapdown : 4 Points
5 - Pancake : 5 Points
6 - Double Leg Drop : 6 Points

4. Each wrestler is allowed (1) Escape, and (1) Reversal per match. An escape is like an evade, you completely evade the takedown and your opponent scores 0 points. A Reversal is like a reflect, you turn the takedown onto your opponent and YOU gain the points they would have taken.

5. If you have Escaped, Reversed, or your opponent Missed you this round, then you proceed with the match starting at #2.

6. If you have been taken down, you now need to free yourself from your opponent before you can try your own takedown. Roll opposed Strength Rolls, highest wins. If you win the roll, then you proceed to try and takedown your opponent this round. If you lose the roll, you remain pinned and lose the ability to take down your opponent.

7. A new round begins, and both release each other and begin again. Go five rounds. Whoever has the most points at the end of five rounds, wins the wrestling match.

Weightlifting
Weightlifting is a test of personal strength and endurance. You will be lifting large rocks, such as they lifted in the ancient days of weightlifting contests. You must find a proctor who will witness your weightlifting attempts and send the log to the appropriate person.

Each round, the weightlifter must not only be strong enough to lift the rock above their head, but they must have the endurance to keep it high in a vertical position as long as possible. You will roll Strength Checks, and then Endurance Checks if you are able to lift the rock.

You are allowed (1) second chance attempt if you fail any check, but only one for all five rounds. If you fail your strength or endurance check for a round, you are disqualified that round. Each round you succeed you gain points. The weightlifter with the most points gained over the course of our tournament will win the title and prize.
