[Worth: 4,000gp]
Summary: The weeks leading up to the events that would represent the Obsidian Heart incursion into the Foulspawn Swamp of southern Madder were marked by many peculiar and troubling events. Animals and beasts, usually found only in the deepest areas of Foulspawn were suddenly making residence along its outskirts. There also seemed to be stronger currents and tide changes in the swamp than ever before, the ripples and white caps oddly present even when the wind wasn't blowing. In addition to such strange phenomena of the animals and environment itself odd sounds echo from the insect infested swamp at all hours of the day. Violent thrashing, the sound of ancient and massive trees snapping, and feral bellows that could make the biggest of dragons take pause. Several parties and local adventurers have dared to venture forth to find the source of these happenings, but few have returned and even less seem to have any true insight.

I Yield to None: Ok, here comes the setting!
I Yield to None: ^v^ 1/3/2015 8:24:36 PM ^v^
I Yield to None: The Obsidian Heart adventurers who answered the call to
travel to Madder to see what all the fuss was about would find themselves
emerging from the portal as the Murky Stilt Camp safe house. Located
I Yield to None: near the village of Ninesay the camp is built upon stilts
over the swamp itself, which at the moment was in low tide. Their first step
would be upon the wood that made up the walkway between the huts
I Yield to None: of the hunting camp and within the glow from a nearby torch
that licked at the darkness of night stood the caretaker of the camp, Rashun.
Unfortunately for the adventurers, in addition to Rashun they
I Yield to None: would also be met with the smells (rot and general
nastiness), sounds (buzz, buzz, slither) and bugs (damned biting insects!)
that you would generally find in a swamp!"Welcome to Paradise mun!"
I Yield to None: Sarcasm? It was hard to tell, the man was smiling something
fierce though! "Glad yew all could make't!" He would motion for them to
follow and then point to the horses, and a horse drawn cart for the more
I Yield to None: delicate, once they reached the end of one of the walkways.
"These will take you to the town's inn. Once there seek out the keeper,
Bennifer, for more information." He would turn and offer them that
I Yield to None: awesome smile though his words held something heavy. "Best
keep your wits about ya when in paradise mun!"
Georg Pryme: He spent the time through the invitations preparing himself,
both mentally and physically for the task at hand. His gear was in place,
slipping gauntlets on so his rings would stay in place. He'd be ready to set
out once they were
Tales0fBeauty: She would touch her shield tattoo and her then she would lay
her sheild down on the ground and it would turn into a white pegasus, which
she would mount up on and then used her ring of sheild to produce another
sheild for her as she
Georg Pryme: given their instructions, rolling his shoulders slightly,
tilting his head side to side. He had an odd look about him, not nearly that
jovial guy drinking at the bar. Intensity poured off him in waves, a wry
smirk on his lips. He
Tales0fBeauty: was a paladin he had her own mount to ride, and she would
ride it. She would offer a polite respectful nod to the others that started
showing up for the adventure they were called for today, Kaldra would be
curled around her neck
SwordOfAtrophy: Well, if they were heading into the Swamp, he'd change boots
and slide on the Madder boots for some swamp walkin'. Other than that,
everything was all ready for the young boy. Though insects were always
annoying. He stretched,
Georg Pryme: nodded to no one in particular, giving in to his other half and
gaining the strength that would be required(CM: Rock Titan: +2 str per
adventure, CM: Quake With Fear: +3 Intimidate per adventure).
Tesarik One: Indrila and her sainthound had been scarce ever since the Five
Masters had been destroyed. She focused on her crafting and inkantation, and
had taken a break from active adventuring. But, it was a new year, and with a
new year came
Georg Pryme: He'd mount up then, adjusting his scabbard as he sat his
saddle, waiting to ride off with the rest of the group(afk, need a beverage
refill).
Tales0fBeauty: like some warm scarf. She gave a warrented smile to ellis as
her silvery eyes sparkled with amuesment seeing him, and then a warrented
smile to vilkas when he came into view as well. And she would wait for
everyone to show up
Tesarik One: new challenges, so the ghost elf happened to be with this group
as they stepped out into Madder. Dark lashes closed over abysmally dark eyes,
as she cast a spell that allowed her and Melethril to be comfortable in the
humidity of
Tales0fBeauty: before departing to where it was they were to go.
SwordOfAtrophy: stepping towards a horse. He touched it on the nose gently.
"Just you and me now buddy.." He exhaled slowly, focusing his mind inwardly
for a moment to prepare mentally and physically. (CM: Rondo of Blood, +12 HP
for adventure)
Tesarik One: the swamp (Endure Elements). She glanced around at those
gathered, nodding to those she knew, whether from missions or from crafting
for them.
RageofNocturne: :: As for himself he would drop his Aerostrider from his bag
of holding and would step upon it as his scales gre over his body turning him
into his war form under that armor and would look to Raelgil as he smirked-D-
I Yield to None: HP boost for Sword noted
Mighty Gar thog: (correction 3d91)
Tesarik One: The sainthound was far too large to ride on a horse with her,
so instead she conjured up a translucent disk that she stepped on, and the
big fluffy dog hopped on as well. It floated above the ground, staying at the
same pace as the
I Yield to None: Other boosts noted as well.
Tesarik One: horses and cart. "I hope you all have been well," came her
soft, whispery voice.
Georg Pryme: (back)
I Yield to None: Once the group was assembled those that were on the
provided mounts would find them eager to get moving. If left alone they would
begin to make their way slowly away from the camp and down along a
I Yield to None: rather visible path, though it moved through the swampy
nastiness like a snake it could be seen with little issue. They would have
about a 30 minute (IC time, so about two posts for RP purposes) trip to
Georg Pryme: He'd nod his head in assent to Indrila, a slight baring of his
teeth in what could be taken as a smile. He spoke in a bit more gruff of a
tone, but he had no trouble controlling his words. "Aye, good to see you
again as well.
I Yield to None: Ninesay, during which they would hear various noises: heavy
splashing, random cries from animals that would soon no longer be living and
of course the buzz buzz of those insects trying to give them
I Yield to None: "kisses" - aww such nice insects!
Georg Pryme: Things have gone well enough."
Mighty Gar thog: ~GarThog was rarely seen, on adventures, since the five
masters were defeated. He had been rather busy, learning, and building up his
power with taking other forms. He was still adorned in blue icemail, but his
form this
Mighty Gar thog: day was like a 6'11" humanoid, the neck is nearly a foot of
that height. The wings are still batlike and extend barely further than the
arms stretched out. The wing claws appear as knives, while the tail is close
to 4'
Mighty Gar thog: long, ending with the spiked ball, about 1' 7" in diameter.
While the fingers are the same, except the thumb is nearly unchanged from
human form except for a small talon, and the middle finger is a quarter inch
longer
Mighty Gar thog: than the human norm. The ears are slightly enlarged with a
small framing hood the size of a human hand being placed thumb behind the
ear, cupping it, but of course, more rounded in shape. The nose juts out with
the jaw
Mighty Gar thog: about 5" and the teeth are pointed. The eyes are more
slitted than a human, but not as much as a normal dragon. Scales cover the
skin, black in colour, allowing good camouflage in darkness. He went and
tried the largest of
Mighty Gar thog: the offered horses, nodding to Indrila, but not talking~
SwordOfAtrophy: Ellis pulled himself onto the horse, an act he still had yet
to really master without looking foolish. "Oh aren't you just a lovely voice
of concern. I don't believe we've met. I'm Ellis." A proper respectful nod to
her and the
SwordOfAtrophy: puppy! Awww so cute.
Tales0fBeauty: She would give a nod to the newcomer "indeed things are
well."
Tesarik One: Fingers traced along the black ink upon her face from her
bottom lip down her throat as she quietly intoned a prayer to Kanesh in
umbral, but then her attention went to Ellis. Her voice always soft, though
audible, "Greetings Ellis,
Tesarik One: Maria has told me about you. It is good to serve at your side."
The sainthound sat down on his big furry rump and lifted a paw as if to wave
at Ellis. Indrila's pale hand rested on the big dog's head. "Heel."
RageofNocturne: :: He continued to float along on his Aerostrider which
released that silver light of it signaling they were there for good reasons.
He looked over to the newcomer and then back forward as he made sure his
shield was secured on his
RageofNocturne: arm and checked his warhammer as well-D-
SwordOfAtrophy: "Awww, flattery will get you everywhere. Though I really
wanna hug that dog, he's so furry." Ok, he wasn't totally over being a kid,
not yet anyway.
Tesarik One: Newcomer? Indrila had been with this company since it was
established! To her, they were all newcomers!
Mighty Gar thog: ~The dragon humanoid mied being was looking around a lot,
allowing his horse to slow, going last, as he whispered to it, being
friendly, quite happy that it accepted him as a rider, he even thanked the
poor creature for
Mighty Gar thog: carrying his heavy weight~
Tesarik One: "Melethril enjoys being hugged, as long as he is not doing a
task for me, I do not mind if you hug him," she said matter-of-factly since
it was not a strange thing for folks to want to cuddle with the big dog. She
stood on her disk,
Tesarik One: moving along with the group.
Mighty Gar thog: ~GarThog was there when Ondrila started, too, he thought,
and was happy to recognize her... then realized... none had seen his new
form~
Tesarik One: Indrila*
Mighty Gar thog: (typo lol Indrila)
Tesarik One: ( )
Tales0fBeauty: She would be moving with the group as well her pegasus
staying just far enough above the ground as needed as she would be not far
from vilkas.
Tales0fBeauty: (and my bad on the newcomer thing i saw only the name of the
dog and thought it was a new character completely!)
Georg Pryme: He rode his mount quietly, keeping a watch on their sides, head
moving in a constant swivel while he scanned the terrain. He knew some of
the faces here, and he knew enough about those to know they were more than
capable allies.
Tesarik One: (oh it's fine, I havent' played her in a long time so it's
logical they might think she's new)
Mighty Gar thog: (lol ohhh)
Georg Pryme: The rest would be proven, and with luck he'd get to try a few
new things he'd acquired.
I Yield to None: The night hair was thick and moist, soon - unless they had
means to avoid it - their skin was sticky and they would most likely be
uncomfortable. For those who could avoid, well, aren't you just
I Yield to None: special! Slowly, from the fog, the outline of the town
would begin to appear, followed by the soft glow of orange signaling the
torches by the entrance and along the wall. Upon entering they would see,
I Yield to None: despite the time of night, a rather lively street with
merchants and buyers. Despite the weather, it was more pleasant at the moment
then in the heat of day. It was clear to see which building was the
I Yield to None: inn as the horses stopped right in front of it!
Tesarik One: Had her Endure Elements going! Her long silver hair and pale
skin seemed to glow softly in the light, though it was something she could
suppress for the moment she did not since it was not as if they were trying
to be stealthy. As
Tesarik One: they approached the town, Melethril resisted the urge to jump
off and run around sniffing things, but he was a good puppy and he'd been
told to Heel, but he sure was panting and watching everything around them.
As they stopped
SwordOfAtrophy: And a graceful, (sort of) dismount from said horse, he pet
it on the nose a bit. Ugh, heat.. sweat.. wonderful. When he made the
decision to change boots for swamp travel, he forgot it was the other pair
that made him all nice and
Tesarik One: at the inne, the graceful yet frail elfess stepped off the disk
and waited for the others to dismount. "Melethril, Stay."
SwordOfAtrophy: cozy. Though that wouldn't stop him from giving that big
fluffy dog a hug for a long minute. "Oh who's a good boy, you are.."
Tesarik One: If anyone wished for Indrila's magic, they need only ask. They
could tell just by looking at her that her hair was not sweaty and she looked
quite comfortable!
Tales0fBeauty: She would pull out her nexus crystal from her bag of holding
and she would use it to help aid her in enduring the envoirnment they were in
currently. (Nexus Crystal)
Tesarik One: Mel lapped at his ear and put big paws on his shoulder as he
was hugged, hugging him back! Mel was far friendlier and enjoyed affection
more than his mistress.
Mighty Gar thog: ~GarThog was happy to have his adaption jewelry on this
day, as others looked a bit uncomfortable. He had gotten that, self built it,
as a jeweller, long ago. He dismounted~ Oh, ~Thumped his chest with his fist~
Mighty Gar thog: GarThog... greet-tings... ~he looked at the inn door~
Should we jus seek da one inside?
Tales0fBeauty: and kaldra had special oil on his foxy fur that well made
things like hot sweat just trickle off him so he was good too! When the
horses stopped she would stop too and she would dismount from her pegassus
and her ring shield would
Tesarik One: "Yes, let us waste no time," she said softly, and moved to
enter the inne with a flutter of her black shadowsilk cloak.
RageofNocturne: :: He could feel the the heat but luckly he was in his war
form and a bit more dragon than human so he wasn't sweating. He got down fron
the Aerostrider and back into his pack it went as he stepped over to Raelgil
and lowered his gog
SwordOfAtrophy: The dog fur was making it worse, so after a bit he couldn't
stand it and had to pull away, though that was no fault of the dogs! He wiped
his forehead with a sleeve. "Gee, how do you all look so frickin comfortable?
I'm losing my
SwordOfAtrophy: body fat here."
Georg Pryme: Giving his mount a rough pat on its neck, he dismounted with
ease, moving over to join the group. His charm kept him from being too
bothered by the climate, his cloak stirring in a breeze of its own as he hung
back towards the rear
RageofNocturne: gles down into place giving a look around discerning each
person he saws alignment, good, evil, neutral-D-
Georg Pryme: of the group, out of habit more than anything else. Always
mindful of his swinging room more than anything else in lands he didn't know
well.
Tesarik One: She reached out with a delicately pale, bejeweled hand and
gently touched Ellis' forehead, and suddenly all seemed right in the world.
At least, the world as far as the heat and humidity. (Endure Elements)
Tales0fBeauty: go back into is place and the pegasus would return to shield
form and she would touch her shield tattoo and her sheild was gone. And she
would open the door to the inne and stepped inside since that is where they
needed to go.
Tesarik One: Indrila was neutral good, if he was looking at her! After
aiding Ellis, she stepped further into the inne and gazed around the area,
looking for the one that they needed to speak to about the mission.
I Yield to None: Upon entering the inn they would come upon the innkeeper.
Bennifer was a slender man and from every visible part of his skin; hairless.
Was it of choice? He was cleaning out a glass in front of a pair
Mighty Gar thog: GarThog made a magic piece dat makes it nice for GarThog
everywhere... ~he was heading for that door, after the ghost elf~
I Yield to None: of patrons who, upon turning to look upon those who
entered, ever so slowly moved out of the way. Not that they were told to
mind, simply because, well, the group looked badass and badass people were
I Yield to None: given their space. "Welcome to paradise mun!" bellowed
Bennifer. These people certainly enjoyed their home! He motioned toward the
four or so seats between him and them in case any wished to sit
I Yield to None: before getting down to business. "Not many will say it but
we owe ye for comin on out. Mighty strange happenins these days, mighty
strange."
SwordOfAtrophy: Blink. Then he looked at her with a fawning expression. "Oh
you're a saint, dinner's on me.." Though he always offered 'dinner' as a form
of repayment, he'd never actually needed to come through on it, though he
would.
Tesarik One: If anyone would make him pay up, it would be Indrila! Though,
she would be a cheap date, she didn't eat much.
I Yield to None: While Bennifer was thankful, he was still an innkeeper and
upon hearing sword's words his eyes lit up all chi-ching like! "Did you all
need something to eat before leaving? We be havin a nice stew tanight!"
Tesarik One: Her voice still soft as she spoke to the man, "What sort of
strange happenings, and what exactly did you need our assistance with?"
(Unless we were already told and I missed it?)
Tesarik One: She shook her head, she wanted no food, eating before combat
always gave her heartburn.
RageofNocturne: :: In he would go after Raelgil his shield still upon his
arm. He looked around looking to the keeper then over the others within the
Inn to discern everyones alignment around the group -D-
Mighty Gar thog: ~GarThog took no seat, trying to place himself where his
back was most protected. He was always a bit paranoid about assassins~
Tales0fBeauty: She would agree with the ghost elfs inqury "indeed please do
tell what strange things are we to be investigating? and where are they
happening?. She would shake her head to the offer of food "perhaps when we
are done with what we
Georg Pryme: His eyes fell upon the innkeep, Bennifer. He remembered
something his mother always told him about skinny innkeepers, so he kept most
of his attention on Bennifer. "Perhaps a meal after we get the job done."
SwordOfAtrophy: "Normally I'd be all for stew, but not before business." He
turned one of the chairs around to sit on it, and wait for an explanation as
to why they were here.
Tales0fBeauty: came here to do we can enjoy a meal...for now there is work
to be done."
I Yield to None: The gold coins left Bennifer's eyes with a sight before he
nodded and began explaining that the weeks leading up to the events that
would represent the Obsidian Heart incursion into the Foulspawn
I Yield to None: Swamp of southern Madder were marked by many peculiar and
troubling events. Animals and beasts, usually found only in the deepest areas
of Foulspawn were suddenly making residence along its outskirts.
I Yield to None: There also seemed to be stronger currents and tide changes

I Yield to None: of the animals and environment itself odd sounds echo from
the insect infested swamp at all hours of the day. Violent thrashing, the

I Yield to None: that could make the biggest of dragons take pause. Several
parties and local adventurers have dared to venture forth to find the source
of these happenings, but few have returned and even less seem to
I Yield to None: have any true insight.
Georg Pryme: He chose to remain standing, claiming a chair which he turned
sideways and propped a boot up on it, crossing his arms over his knee as he
leaned forward to listen in on what they were sent here to take care of.
Tesarik One: (brb, mother is here)
SwordOfAtrophy: "Forced migration, strange noises and a shift in the tide?
Sounds like something big moved in."
Tales0fBeauty: She would nod to ellis "sounds like something indeed possibly
even supernatural if the animals are behaving that way and nature is as
well....either way it is best it is dealt with sooner rather then later,
ecosystems are a delicate
Mighty Gar thog: ~GarThog gave that smile sneer of his~ We are to
investigate den? Jus bring back information?
Tales0fBeauty: balance and the balance has been disturbed and we need to
restore that, the sooner the better..."
Mighty Gar thog: Dat depends wha is da cause... mayhaps, da new creature out
dere jus needs a homeland, like any udder...
I Yield to None: "At this point anyden would be helpful mun! Our paradise is
lost at da moment. We need it fixed, however you go about doin it!" He
reached down below the counter before producing a standard map of the
Georg Pryme: "Well, time waits for no man. Has anyone gone missing through
any of these occurrences? Any regulars here not show up since all this has
been going on?"
I Yield to None: area, though there were two marks on it. "Dis is where we
are, and dis is where we think the issue is coming from mun. No one has lived
to confirm tho." He left the map to them before pointing to
I Yield to None: this right, near the fire, "Ol' Howie is a trapper of many
years, you may wish to speak to him before heading out to see if he has any
new information for you." He then thought for a moment before
I Yield to None: nodding, "there is also a family in the refugee area that
saw the creatures that have come out from the depths of the swamp.... Again,
if you be wanting more information."
I Yield to None: "They be called the Heners..." He added after realizing he
didn't give the family name. Silly innkeeper!
I Yield to None: "Several families have been murdered by the beasts that
came out of the swamp. Most of the homesteads between the town and the main
boundaries have relocated here as refugees."
RageofNocturne: :: Yes it truly does sound as though something moved in to
take residency up in the swamps somewhere. --he said and looked to Raelgil
then heard the keeper giving some leads and nodded-- Sounds like we have some
people to locate th
RageofNocturne: en to find out what we need to know-D-
Mighty Gar thog: Da fsamily is named Heners? We should seek dem out, speak
to dem first, den to da trapper...~It was starting to sound more like an
invasion force to the dragon~
Tales0fBeauty: She would look to the map and then she would nod memorizing
it to her memory, and then she would go over to the trapper and she would
offer him a respectful nod "is there anything you can tell us more of these
strange happenings?
I Yield to None: Ol' Howie, as pointed to, was across the room they were
currently in, sitting by the fire and enjoying some stew! The refugees were
near the entrance opposite to the one the group originally entered through.
Tales0fBeauty: and the activity of the animals?" she would nod to vilkas
"indeed when we are done talking to the trapper here we can find that family
and talk to them as well, sounds like a situation we should know what we can
before we enter it."
Tales0fBeauty: was just a thought she had.
Georg Pryme: His ways of gaining information from people wouldn't be all too
much of a boon at the current time, so he opted to wait for those with
different tactics to take a stab at it.
SwordOfAtrophy: Snowflake seemed to have the trapper well in hand, so he'd
walk across the room to the refugee group, adopting his best innocent kid
look. "Hey there, kiddos. I'm looking for the Hener family, if you wouldn't
mind."
I Yield to None: Ol' Howie was about to shove a spoonful of delicious soup
into his mouth when the female approach. "Well aren't you just a dumplin of
beauty!" Yes swamp people were strange. He would look from her to
I Yield to None: the rest and then back to her. "Adventurer's I presume?"
Mighty Gar thog: ~GarThog would pick up the map, folding it, to slip into
one of his many pouches, then went over towards the trapper, listening, but
also looking around at others here~
Tales0fBeauty: that was an even better idea! ellis would go talk to the
family she awaited the trappers answer to her questions. She would blush at
his words "indeed we are and we plan on dealing with whatever is causing
this, so whatever you have
Tales0fBeauty: learned of the situation would be most helpful im sure...."
I Yield to None: Some of the children looked up at the badass adventurer in
awe while a few ran behind the table they were all crowding around. "They be
at their tent down the road mista. Are they in troubles? They
I Yield to None: didn't do no wrong!" The child was very sure of these fact.
Georg Pryme: Georg made his way over to join Ellis, curious as to what
information he could draw forth from the refugee family. He put on his best
mean face, though he did manage to stick his tongue out at the kids every so
often when he caught
Georg Pryme: them looking up at him.
SwordOfAtrophy: "Oh heavens no, no trouble. Just checking to make sure
they're ok. Quite a bit of a sticky bit around here lately, yes? We're just
here to help."
I Yield to None: "I normally don't take well to strangers but for a bell
such as yerself.... and well no one else has been out to try and fix the
problem in a way.... so either way I need to help ya...." He then looked from
her the group. "Have a
I Yield to None: map?" (d)
RageofNocturne: :: He spoke through his shield to Raelgil and moved after
Ellis since he and her could communicate far distances with the shield it
only made sense-D-
I Yield to None: The childrens' eyes lit up and they swarmed sword and
georg. "You're going to slay the demon!?" Another one quickly added, "and
chop off the giant's head??" They had many ideas of what was in that swamp.
Cute kids. Loud kids.
Tales0fBeauty: She would look to him and noded "yes the innekeeper gave us a
map" she would blush again at his words "A Knight of the order of the silver
flame will always help! What can you tell us my friend? anything that may be
useful to our
Tales0fBeauty: survival?"
Georg Pryme: He simply crossed his arms over his chest as the children
gathered, looking each one in the eye at every question given and returning
in kind with a simple nod of his head in affirmation to them.
Tales0fBeauty: She would speak back to vilkas through her shield as well.
cause they were linked like that!
I Yield to None: "Need to see that map rose." He said before swallowing
another spoonful. "I'll show you a secret... well I've showed a couple others
but since they didn't return I'm sure it is still a safe secret..."
SwordOfAtrophy: "You can be sure whatever it is, I'll send it home crying to
it's momma. You just sit tight and be good, and we'll be back before you know
it."
I Yield to None: "YAY!" The children grew louder before running off to the
table and acting out the events which had yet to be determined.
Tales0fBeauty: She would look to (garthog forget what character your
playing) and she would nod to him "well you heard the man let him see the
map!"
Tales0fBeauty: She would give the trapper a very rare warrented smile, as he
was being most helpful to them "Secrets are always a good thing!"
RageofNocturne: :: He smirked hearing the kids and chuckled--
RageofNocturne: Indeed we will end whatever is in these swamps young
ones.-D-
Mighty Gar thog: (soory froze up)
SwordOfAtrophy: "Tent down the road, they said." And he'd skedaddle to the
refugee tents down the road. Vilkas would let the others know, or he could,
because of those silly insignias, but info must be gathered!
Mighty Gar thog: ~He withdrew the folded up map and spread it out upon the
table before the man, watching the mans hands~
RageofNocturne: :: He nodded and spoke again through his shield to Raelgil
as he would get ready to head out with Ellis-- Let us go and gather the other
information. I can call Raelgil if we run into trouble. --he said and
nodded-D-
Tales0fBeauty: She would nod to the trapper "there is the map, please do
show us this secret of yours..."
Georg Pryme: He opted to keep up with Ellis, matching pace to keep up with
the fella. He'd have to trust that skinny innkeepers could be trusted long
enough out of his sight, but he was curious to know what came of the
information gained at the
Georg Pryme: tents.
I Yield to None: After finding their way to the tent a young couple and two
children would emerge. Three of the four were ok the wife had most of her
face bandaged as well as her neck and an arm. "Yes?" The husband
I Yield to None: asked while protectively putting an arm around his wife's
waist and pulling his kids close with his other.
Georg Pryme: (afk a moment)
SwordOfAtrophy: "Hey there. We're here from the Obsidian Heart." Ellis
approached, hands in plain view, away from his weapons. "We're looking for
the Hener family, if you please."
Tales0fBeauty: Those pointed elven ears of hers would flicker on either side
of her head as she heard vilkas through her shield and she would nod and she
would speak to him through hers as well touching the tattoo on her right arm
to do so, her
Tales0fBeauty: shield appering in her hands.
RageofNocturne: :: No need to fear. We are from the Obsidian Heart here on
business to clear the swamp.-D-
I Yield to None: Ol' Howie would wipe his hands on his pants before looking
at the map. Pointing just east of the town, heading toward the swamp boundary
he would show them a small mark that looked to be a mine of
I Yield to None: sorts. "Tis an old mine shaft, goes deep and goes long.
There is another opening within the swamp by an old logging camp. I dun know
what, if anything, is in there but that will get you past the beasts
I Yield to None: that moved out of the swamp."
I Yield to None: "We are the Hener family......" Still unsure, especially
with everything going on, the family huddled together a bit more.
Tales0fBeauty: She would nod and offered the trapper another very rare smile
from the battle hardened zorcan "Thank you for your secret, that will be most
useful if we can avoid what battle we can, I am sure whatever is causing this
is more then
Tales0fBeauty: enough trouble with out fighting innocent beasts..."
Tales0fBeauty: She would then speak through her sheild once more to vilkas.
SwordOfAtrophy: "We're investigating the unusual occurances in the swamp,
and we were told you had a firsthand experience. Could you tell us about it,
please?"
I Yield to None: "Oh dear..... no lass, these aren't innocent beasts..... We
be talking hydras, plant beasts, man eating crocodiles and more.... Don't
take them for innocent... swamp devils they be!"
Georg Pryme: (Back)
I Yield to None: The husband motioned for the children and his wife to go
inside the tent before lowering his voice. "I'm sorry but they are still very
frightened, I don't wish to make it worse..... It all happened in the course
of a week..... Like
Mighty Gar thog: Yes, tanks. Information like dat is often of great aid...
is dere anyting else to add? !eyes upon the trappers face~
Mighty Gar thog: (wb)
Tales0fBeauty: She would nod to him "by innocent i meant they are out of
their element and not where they belong and not of their own doing, doesn't
matter how dangerous they are the sooner the order is restored the sooner
they will return to their

the beasts to the heart of the issue they will be with us shortly.-D-

she did love nature after all, no matter how terrible its creatures my be.
I Yield to None: the tide they emerged... It was just one or two at first
but by the second day they were all there. Until that time we had only heard
of them, but they never came so close to the swamp boundaries. But...." He
paused, he was
I Yield to None: conflcited because of what they had done to his wife. "They
were scared.... you could see it, they were fleeing something. We were just
in their way..... They stopped once they realized the swamp didn't continue
in abundance."
Tales0fBeauty: She would look to the trapper with those silvery eyes of hers
and offered him up one more smile "is there anything else we should know
before we part ways and catch up with the rest of our group?"
I Yield to None: "Call it what you will, they just need to go back." More
soup was swallowed before he held it up between them. "Say.... if you make it
back, might I presaude you to accompany me on a midnight boat tour of the
swamp?" He offered her
SwordOfAtrophy: "Frightened animals do that, I'm afraid. What kind of
creatures were they?"
I Yield to None: smile with a few missing teeth, though he was sweet and all
that.
Mighty Gar thog: (think that was the trapper, Mark)
RageofNocturne: brb)
I Yield to None: "We were attacked by dire crocs... Came right through the
wall. We've also heard of plant beasts, hydras and massive snakes.
I Yield to None: (Call it what you will is the trapper, we were attacked by
dire crocs is the family.)
Georg Pryme: "Aye, now that's more like it. Definitely will be plenty of
work to be done." He nodded with a grim smile on his lips.
Mighty Gar thog: (ok lol)
SwordOfAtrophy: "Well, we'll do what we can to fix the issue and get
everything back to normal, or as normal as it could be. You just stay safe
and rest."
Mighty Gar thog: ~The dragon just gave the trapper a nod, then went out,
after the others, to leave Raelgil to handle the flirter~
Tales0fBeauty: She would look to him and gave another warrented smile
"Because you shared your secret I would be most happy to do so when we
return" she spoke with utmost certianty to that fact after all she had
nothing but faith in herself and
Tales0fBeauty: her fellow members of the heart in their capabilities to do
this mission. "If there is nothing else pertiant, then I shall take my leave,
thank you kind sir for your help!" she would give him one last smile and
noded to him, and
Tales0fBeauty: then looked to the others that were with her "shall we go
join up with the others?
Tales0fBeauty: "
I Yield to None: ^v^ 1/3/2015 9:39:38 PM ^v^
I Yield to None: Well they had some information. The question was whether or
not they would share it with each other and also which approach they would
take. Would they try to go through the beasts from the swamp or
I Yield to None: attempt to get past them by going through the mine shaft?
Mighty Gar thog: ~GarThog just strolled up to Ellis, stopping by his side,
looking at the man speaking~
Georg Pryme: "Been some time since I've fought a hydra." Well, in truth,
he'd never done so. "Best to go at this all together, if the reports aren't
anywhere near exaggerated."
RageofNocturne: :: He looked to the dragon man and then past him more to the
point the way he came looking for Raelgil and as he waited his hand came to
rest on his warhammer-D-
SwordOfAtrophy: He'd let the family get back to what they had been doing
before. Pacing back and forth to muse to himself. "Hydras aren't that big of
a deal really. Try fighting one on a ship, while it's being sundered by
cannonfire, that'll trip
SwordOfAtrophy: your head."
Mighty Gar thog: ~He nodded to the male leader of the Hener family~
Greet-tings ~a fist thump to his chest~ GarThog... ~Was one of the most
famous people throughout the land now~
RageofNocturne: :: He smirked a bit recalling that fight-- Indeed Ellis.
--he said and chuckled-- You were not in that alone if I recall correctly-D-
Tales0fBeauty: She would join up with the others as she headed up she made
sure indrelia followed as well so she wasn't left alone and she would look to
them "I think we should avoid needless fighting once we restore the balance
these terrible
Georg Pryme: He moved away from Gar as well, heading over to where the two
he'd been joining had gone to wait. He drew Deathblow while they waited,
eyeing the edge and balance of the blade, sending it back to its scabbard
with but a thought
Tales0fBeauty: beasts should return to their natural habitats and should no
longer be trouble to the refugees, the trapper was most helpful showing us
the way to the mines..."
Georg Pryme: once satisfied with the result. "No saying they'll go back
right away, we should probably be prepared to need to deal with them in the
near future if no change comes about after we're done, if that's the course
we take."
RageofNocturne: :: He looked to Raelgil and nodded-- I like the plan but he
is right. And knowing beasts, they have found also a new plentiful food
source who is to say they would retreat to their natural homes rather than
stay and snack on the peo
RageofNocturne: ple-D-
SwordOfAtrophy: "Takes a lot more than a week to change ingrained habits,
but you never do know. But sneaking seems like the best bet, if for our sake
rather than theirs."
Georg Pryme: "Well, I'll be the first to point out that my training never
really covered the sneak around and not be seen or heard approach. I'll do
my best there, but let's just say I'm prepared for what comes after I'm
spotted."
Tales0fBeauty: She would look to both ellis and vilkas "well if we restore
the balance and they dont leave then we can deal with that later, for now
restoring the balance of nature i think is prioity..."
I Yield to None: Suddenly the world grew quiet. Not just in the town but the
entire region around the swamp. It became quiet because of violent burst of a
bellow, dulled by the time it reached them, but still powerful
I Yield to None: for being so far away. Soon after the bellow they would
feel tremors shaking the ground for several seconds before things calmed. A
moment or two later the swamp came alive once again.
Mighty Gar thog: ~He looked at the leader of the Hener family~ Has day
happened before?
Mighty Gar thog: *has dat
Tales0fBeauty: Her pointed elven ears would twitch as she heard that sound
and then felt the ground "my point exactly, we need to go take care of
whatever is causing that first, we can deal with the creatures later if it is
even needed..."
SwordOfAtrophy: "The thing about nature snowflake.. it will right itself.
But that worries me. Migratory species can mess things up beyond natures
control."
I Yield to None: The man was trembling and pale before whispering, "all the
time." He then went back into the tent.
Georg Pryme: He tried to pinpoint the direction the sound originated from,
but gave up trying, being unable to discern it. He just gave a low, long
whistle in appreciation of it. "That's either one very big, ugly bugger, or
multiple of just
RageofNocturne: :: He turned his head in the direction of the bellow and

clenched the fingers of his right hand into a fist, knuckles popping and he
grinned as he thought of the prospect. "Probably best we save more of our
energy and
Georg Pryme: resources for whatever it is. Show me this secret approach you
mentioned. Let's have at it."
Mighty Gar thog: ~The dragon walked over to the others, sighing slightly~ We
need to get to da heart of da problem, soon as possible... da ground quakes
are regular now...
I Yield to None: They would have to go in the same general direction to
reach the swamp as they would the mine shaft. It would take about 30 minutes
to walk there, they wouldn't be able to get any of the town's horses
I Yield to None: to move for the rest of the night. They were terrified.
SwordOfAtrophy: "I agree, the back door seems like the best bet.. where's it
at snowflake?"
Georg Pryme: He rolled his shoulders, adjusted his scabbard and checked the
straps of his armor. He was ready to go, he just had to wait for those who
knew where the mine was to lead the way.
Mighty Gar thog: ~Instead of walking, GarThog would fly, just a few feet off
the ground, as they headed towards their destination~
Tales0fBeauty: She would point in the direction it was "anyone who cant fly
can ride my pegasus" she would say as she would put her shield on the ground
and it would turn into a white pegasus at her command.
Tales0fBeauty: She had her manticore wings so she could fly herself or she
could ride on vilkas after all she was his rider.
RageofNocturne: :: He nodded-- Any others can use my Aero Strider. --he said
and brought it back out from his bag of holding and dropped it to hover over
the swamp and would spread his wings and lifted from the ground to fly over
it-D-
I Yield to None: Well if everyone would have the ability to fly it would
take them about 10 minutes or so (about one post) to reach the entrance to
the mine shaft.
Georg Pryme: He thought on the options, running or flying, and he trusted
his own devices first. With a thought, Stormbringer(Greatsword, 2d10,
lighting, thunderclap1/day, electric immune to wielder, limited flight to
wielder). He willed the
Georg Pryme: blade into action, lifting off the ground a few feet and nodded
to signal he was ready.
SwordOfAtrophy: Ellis slipped off the vanish cloak, sliding the silver wyrm
mantle around his neck. It only allowed for about 15 minutes of flight, but
that looked like it would be enough this time. "Let's move then."
Mighty Gar thog: ~GarThog would take the lead, flying out to the mine. In
his humanoid form, he should even be able to fit in the smaller places now~
Tales0fBeauty: Well with everyone taken care of he made sure indrelia was
still with them and her dog and got them vilkas' aero strider so they were
taken care of and then she would lead the way "very well then off we go" she
would mount up on her
Tales0fBeauty: pegasus since no one else did.
I Yield to None: Unless they had darksight or low-light vision they wouldn't
see the mine shaft until they were right on top of it. Does anyone have
either of those skills?
Georg Pryme: (Not I)
Mighty Gar thog: (I do)
RageofNocturne: nope)
Tales0fBeauty: (I do kaldra does and through her link with the beastfriend
collar raelgil can see what her fox does)
I Yield to None: The shaft would come into view and so long as someone
pointed it out they would be upon it. It was deserted and partially boarded
up. Debris from when it was an active mine, old broken carts, the rail
I Yield to None: tracks coming up out of the darkness and broken equipment
were littered about.
Tales0fBeauty: Kaldra would lift his head and he would bark as he saw the
entrance to the mine and raelgil would see it too and she would lead the way
as she pointed it out to the others "over there!" she would call out to them.
Tesarik One: (ok sorry about that, back)
I Yield to None: Those with darksight or low-light vision would see
footprints of various sizes and ages (when they were made) going into the
mine but none coming out. If those who don't have a relevant skill wish to
Tales0fBeauty: (we made sure indrelia was with the group!)
I Yield to None: see the same roll 1D20 spot check with a DC of 15+ needed.
Mighty Gar thog: ~The GarThog would just fly down to it, since he lead the
way. It just made more sense. So, he landed at the boarded upentrance!~
I Yield to None: (I didn't do anything bad to her I promise )
SwordOfAtrophy: He landed gracefully, switching out the flying mantle for
the invisible one again, to be prepped for all sorts of subterfuge. "Still
boarded, looks like nobody's been coming in and out."
Mighty Gar thog: (wb)
SwordOfAtrophy: (I did though winkyface.jpeg)

Tales0fBeauty: She would look to ellis and vilkas and the others "There are
foot prints leading in but none coming out....we best proceed cautiously..."
Tesarik One: So...... Indrila and Melethril were somewhere or another with
the group!
SwordOfAtrophy: ..."Yes, I see that now.."
Georg Pryme: He'd land, deactivating the magic of the blade and willing it
back into its scabbard, conveniently he wore only one(Magnificent Sheath of
Melee Weapons). With light being an issue, he reached up and grabbed the
hilt of the blade
Tesarik One: Melethril had darksight, and Indrila would cast "Nighteye" upon
herself so she could see in the darkness as well. (could someone please IM me
with a brief summary of what I missed?)
RageofNocturne: :: He landed aswell and looked around then looked to Raelgil
and had his Aerostrider move forward as the thing had lights on it!-D-
Georg Pryme: that was visible in the scabbard, drawing it free. As he did
so, the blade came to life with pure magical fire, more than compensating for
his inability to see in the dark(Fizzwinken's Vitiating Diagnostic
Combustible Zweihander,
Georg Pryme: Greatsword, 2d10, fire, special feature: deal extra 1d4 dmg
when taking a target to half health or lower).
Tesarik One: Indrila and Mel stepped off the strider, and Mel sniffed about
where the footprints were seen. Indrila, normally quiet, listened to what the
others might have to say and would follow where they decided to go.
I Yield to None: They could enter without removing more wood from the
boarded entrance if they so desired. Or else they could rip the rest free.
Either way the entrance was there for them to enter or continue on.
Tales0fBeauty: She would dismount from her pegasus and she would let it turn
back into its shield form and she would hold her sheild in her hands as she
looked to the boraded up mine and lifted a hand to press againt the boards to
test their
Tales0fBeauty: strength and not wanting to compromise the mine she would use
the entrance that was already there to enter leaving the boards alone.
Tesarik One: The slender elf slipped easily past the boards into the mine
shaft, Melethril was a bit meatier but he managed to get in as well without
needing to remove wood. Moving further inside, one hand moved to rest on the
hilt of her dark-

Mighty Gar thog: ~GarThog made certain his Naga scale wasactivated and
stepped on into the entryway~
Georg Pryme: He kept close to the front as the group entered into the mine,
keeping his eyes open as they started making headway within.
SwordOfAtrophy: He slipped in through the boards, because he was pretty
small, and he'd follow along behind those who could actually see, because
just lighting things on fire was dangerous unless it was necessary.
RageofNocturne: :: He would press into the mine with his Aerostrider which
soon released its spider legs and began to crawl ahead to illuminate the mine
ahead of them with its silver light-D-
Tesarik One: "Does anyone wish to see in the dark?" Indrila was freely
offering of most of her spells, after all what good was it to be a
spellcaster if it wasn't used to help the team? She glanced around, to see if
any wished her assistance.
SwordOfAtrophy: "Only if you want two dinners. I'm starting to think I
should find a permanent solution to my problem with the darkness."
I Yield to None: The interior of the shaft was old and worn. Musty and
filled with spores of mold and various other nasties would be noted. While
toxicity wouldn't be noted just yet they would be able to tell
I Yield to None: something thick was on the air. Cobwebs would be found in
the corners of the shaft though they had since been pushed aside in the
center by those who entered before. It would have been pitch black if it
I Yield to None: wasn't for the light source in the front of them.
RageofNocturne: :: He looed to Indrila and nodded-- It would be useful
please and thank you. --he said and stepped over to her-D-
Georg Pryme: "Hmm . . . might be better than advertising my presence. Aye,
I'll take you up on that, Indrila." He slid the sword home, quenching the
flame as he did so.
Tesarik One: "There are magical items that could help with that," her soft
voice carried as she moved near him. Again he'd feel the tender touch of the
ghost elf, and he'd be able to see as she touched him. She moved to (rage's
char) and touched
Tesarik One: him as well, Vilkas that's it!, and then to Georg, and they all
got that touch and could see in the dark. (Nighteye x 3)
RangerBlue: Gar thog.. you know me. Die well.
SwordOfAtrophy: "Oh but then I wouldn't get to buy you dinner." He smiled at
her as his eyes focused and he could see her in the dark! Magic was a great
thing.
Tesarik One: She smiled briefly to Ellis, and then moved along with her
sainthound once she'd cast the spells.
Tales0fBeauty: She would pull out her sword that was a fizz sword and glowed
a blue moon soft pale light which would light the way for her as well. "I can
enchant someones blade with briallnce if needed as well..." she would offer
as she would
I Yield to None: Please roll a listen check.

going deeper into the cave~

darkness, before whatever they were disappeared into the cracks of the shaft.

preferred the darkness, but it was merely because it was what felt
comfortable to her and it

something hidden in the darkness. It was heaved into the air and crashed into
the ceiling hard enough to disable it and turn out the lights on them.

what might happen, she did quietly draw her elven thinblade. It's dark metal
blending into the shadows that she tried to walk amidst.
Mighty Gar thog: ~The dragon tried to not laugh, pulling out his Kitris
stone~
Mighty Gar thog: Kitris (10gp) gemstone with peircing light (This
enchantment creates a light so piercing that it is unaffected by even the
darkest and thickest of magical darkness.)
Georg Pryme: Thanks to Indrila, he could see just fine and he was grateful
for it. He refrained from drawing a weaponn yet, knowing it would be simple
enough for him to do so when the time was necessary. He had a fun surprise
in store for
Georg Pryme: whatever hostile critter he came into contact with.
I Yield to None: Aaaannnd before those hostile critters could attack the
light returned and they retreated. It would seem that so long as they kept
the lights on they would be fine. However, the strider was covered in webbing
and offered a twitch
I Yield to None: every other second or so. Webbing, mine shaft, noises....
hmmmm.
Tesarik One: Oh yay, spiders.
SwordOfAtrophy: Skittering... yay
Tales0fBeauty: Well her sword still offered light so they werent in complete
darkness! and she was still infront of everyone. Her blade was not put out so
easily.
RageofNocturne: :: Hearing the sound of the metal hiting the ceiling and
crashing down he turned taking his hammer up and moved up ahead and seeing
the webbing on the strider he narrowed his eyes and used the sharpened body
of the hammer to cut the
Tales0fBeauty: She would continue onward holding her blade out noting that
light was a good thing for them all.
Tesarik One: She had her flamma oracalcum on her belt, which if needed she
could seek it's light which also pierced magical darkness, but for now Gar's
kitris seemed to be keeping the spiders at bay. She stayed towards the back,
though, as using
RageofNocturne: webbing free before he put the thing away in his bag of
holding it went-D-
Tesarik One: darksight in light was a wee bit difficult. Low light being
better for that of course.
Mighty Gar thog: ~The dragon was just continuing on, not swayed from the
goal by the spiders of darkness in the least~
Georg Pryme: So long as the light was there, and the group continued to move
forward, he did so as well. He had no concerns over spiders, though
admittedly it was because he knew their venom wouldn't harm him.
I Yield to None: So long as the lights remained on they would be able to
continue on without much trouble. A few hisses would be heard from time to
time but nothing came out into the light, especially that nasty
I Yield to None: piercing light the tall one carried! Soon they would feel
"fresh" air coming from the darkness.
Mighty Gar thog: We seem to be coming to a more open area now. ~he said back
to the others~
Tales0fBeauty: She could feel the fresh air and she would look to others
"Fresh air a good sign" she would press on further as she continued to lead
the others.
I Yield to None: Emerging from the darkness they would find themselves
within the swamp, the mound of earth they now stood upon above the waterline.
Stumps from trees long since cut would be seen all around the
I Yield to None: clearing and some were even visible in the darkness of the
swamp as outlines. As the last one emerge angry chitters would erupt from the
shaft, having missed a meal all because of the retchid light! Filthy
I Yield to None: surface dwellers!
Mighty Gar thog: ~Well, he was in the front, so he was technically leading
them. He went on, to see what might be ahead~
Georg Pryme: "Fresh air in a cave of spiders that actively try and remove
light . . . I'll believe it's a good sign after we've gone through it
unscathed." Well, and here they were in the swamp. He just gave a slight
nod at that.
RageofNocturne: :: He looked around once out of the mine and looked around
then back to the mine and hissed right on back at the beasts within-D-
SwordOfAtrophy: "Oh glorious, swamp.." Yea, he wasn't too enthused about it.
He turned back to the mouth of the cave. They probably wouldn't understand a
damn thing he said, but for his own piece of mind he'd say it anyway. "You do
realize we
SwordOfAtrophy: would have ended you and your entire bloodline, so consider
yourself lucky."
Mighty Gar thog: ~Since they were outside, he would look about, trying to
see if anything seemed... out of place~
I Yield to None: From the darkness erupted two projectiles of webbing, one
at rage and one at sword. Roll Acrobatic Check to see if you avoid them.
I Yield to None: 18+ Needed to Avoid
OnlineHost: SwordOfAtrophy rolled 1 20-sided die: 11
SwordOfAtrophy: +18 = 29
OnlineHost: RageofNocturne rolled 1 20-sided die: 5
Mighty Gar thog: ~Not looking at them, behind him, he would again try using
the Fizz object to detect thoughts in the surrounding swampy area~
RageofNocturne: +8= 13)
SwordOfAtrophy: He avoided that by simply moving to the side, then stepping
out of range. "Yea next time bring your A game.."
RageofNocturne: unless Raelgil's amulet thing helps in which case its 18)
I Yield to None: Think it only helps with saves as far as checks go.
I Yield to None: Sword gets out of the way just in time, rage on the other
hand gets covered in webbing that will require removal (Use Object of 15+).
Until removal rage suffers -3 Strike.
RageofNocturne: ok then 13)
Tales0fBeauty: (+5 to all damage, saves and spell dcs)
Tales0fBeauty: (amulet of teamwork in play, totally spaced that guys sorry!)
Tales0fBeauty: (if it a save then yeah it helps)
I Yield to None: (Ok, this was a check so we are good.)
Tales0fBeauty: (I would think its a aave cause your avoiding something but
your the DM)
Georg Pryme: "Well then, let's no longer antagonize the ones that can't
attack us. Which direction did the map say we're to go from here?" He
didn't exactly find standing in a swamp a fun thing. Movement was life.
RageofNocturne: :: He backed up and hissed angrily then would struggled
using the rending barbs on his armor to cut the webbing to try and free
himself-D-
OnlineHost: RageofNocturne rolled 1 20-sided die: 20
RageofNocturne: +8= 28)
Mighty Gar thog: ~With no reaction from the scan for surface thoughts, he
took out the map again, refreshed himself with the route, and then put it
away, trodding on~
SwordOfAtrophy: "It doesn't, really, just an indication. Though it would be
difficult to say where we even are at this point."
Tales0fBeauty: She was about to help vilkas get free but he was more then
capable of doing that himself she would smile to him "you alright love?" she
said as she would then look to teh others "we best be moving on, those
creatures can be dealt
Tales0fBeauty: with later if we must on our way back..." she would press
forward in their mission, as the balance of nature being restored was a
piority.
RageofNocturne: :: He hissed a spit a piece of ice to the swampy ground then
turned and moved with Raelgil without a word-D-
Tesarik One: Indrila held her weapon at her side, walking along with her
faithful pup at her side. She paused as webbing got sprayed, but then when
the man got out with ease it was onwards again.
I Yield to None: (Sorry for the confusion. I just clarified something with
Pam in regard to checks and saves. Since the character was avoiding something
it can be considered a save. Following that Rage would have passed the
acrobatics roll and as
I Yield to None: such wouldn't have been hit with the webbing, or needed to
get out of said webbing. So just nix that from the characters' memories.)
I Yield to None: And with that we bring this part to a conclusion. When we
pick up again they will venture into the swamp to see what they can find out
and what needs to be confronted.
I Yield to None: Hope everyone enjoyed themselves!

I Yield to None: There also seemed to be stronger currents and tide changes
in the swamp than ever before, the ripples and white caps oddly present even
when the wind wasn't blowing. In addition to such strange phenomena
I Yield to None: of the animals and environment itself odd sounds echo from
the insect infested swamp at all hours of the day. Violent thrashing, the
sound of ancient and massive trees snapping, and feral bellows
Tales0fBeauty: She would nod to him "by innocent i meant they are out of
their element and not where they belong and not of their own doing, doesn't
matter how dangerous they are the sooner the order is restored the sooner
they will return to their
RageofNocturne: :: He hearing Raelgil nodded-- They got a way to get past
the beasts to the heart of the issue they will be with us shortly.-D-
Tales0fBeauty: homes and not be bothering those that are seeking refuge..."
she did love nature after all, no matter how terrible its creatures my be.
"That's either one very big, ugly bugger, or
multiple of just
RageofNocturne: :: He turned his head in the direction of the bellow and
growled in his throat-- Lets get moving. --he said and looked to the others--
We deal with the bigger issue first then we deal with the other. --he said
and would take his ham
RageofNocturne: mer in hand and lifted it giving it a once over-D-
I Yield to None: ^v^ 1/3/2015 9:52:33 PM ^v^
Georg Pryme: slightly smaller sizes, or my Father wasn't an Elemental." He
clenched the fingers of his right hand into a fist, knuckles popping and he
grinned as he thought of the prospect.
OnlineHost: SwordOfAtrophy rolled 1 20-sided die: 17
SwordOfAtrophy: +14 = 31

Tesarik One: metal thinblade as she scanned the area.

Tales0fBeauty: We need to keep an eye on those spores, if we leave them

others as they would continue to venture further and those pointed elven ears
would flicker on
Tesarik One: Mel sniffed, tilted his head, and then moved over to Indrila
and bumped at her hand. He was trained enough to not bark out just for
anything, so he was trying to tell her that he heard something . She didn't
hear though, and just
Georg Pryme: "Only one way to know then, isn't there?" A dark gleam was in
his eyes, the muscles in his arms tense, his jaw set as he readied to meet
whatever it was they were about to find. He continued forward, not letting
the sounds rattle
Georg Pryme: him too much.
Tesarik One: pet her sainthound on the head and nodded, "Good boy," she said
in a whisper.
Tales0fBeauty: either side of her head as she would hear the sound and
hearing ellis words she would nod and she would continue "we best be prepared
then for whatever it is that is the source of said noise." she would look to

Tales0fBeauty: "Suppose i will lead the way" and she would do just that,
after all she was one the groups tanks and she perfered if she took the brunt
of something rather then the others.
I Yield to None: Things were moving outside of the boundary of the glow from
the "sentry" machine upfront. Only glimpses would be seen, outlines in the
darkness, before whatever they were disappeared into the cracks of the shaft.
They didn't like
I Yield to None: light that was for sure.
RageofNocturne: :: He continued to move along with them but as Raelgil took
up the front he took up the back and would move with his back to the group
moving backwards as he did so incase anything came from behind them.
Meanwhile the Strider contin

Mighty Gar thog: ~GarThog would have been fine without the light, but
allowed it to go before him. He used Fizzwinken's Comprehensive Omni-Barrier
Apparatus to try to detect surface thoughts in the direction of that
movement~
Tesarik One: "Melethril, Defend," stated the ghost elf quietly, as she moved
along more near the back of the team as they began to move forward. She
preferred the darkness, but it was merely because it was what felt
comfortable to her and it
I Yield to None: There was clattering, the strider striding right into
something hidden in the darkness. It was heaved into the air and crashed into
the ceiling hard enough to disable it and turn out the lights on them.
Darkness washed over them
I Yield to None: followed by silence.
SwordOfAtrophy: Cramped spaces were horrible to fight in, and the spores
weren't fun, though he wasn't worried about them. He would keep his eyes on
the areas the shadows moved to after the light passed, so see what they did.
Tesarik One: honored Kanesh, Mistress of the Shadows. Though, unknown of
what might happen, she did quietly draw her elven thinblade.
Roll Acrobatic Check to see if you avoid them.

out of range.

I Yield to None: (Ok, this was a check so we are good.)
Tales0fBeauty: (I would think its a aave cause your avoiding something but
your the DM)
Georg Pryme: "Well then, let's no longer antagonize the ones that can't
attack us. Which direction did the map say we're to go from here?" He
didn't exactly find standing in a swamp a fun thing. Movement was life.
RageofNocturne: :: He backed up and hissed angrily then would struggled
using the rending barbs on his armor to cut the webbing to try and free
himself-D-
