Tesarik One: I'm gonna do our usual summary since it's been several weeks
since we did this quest line. If you don't need to read it, that's fine.
Tesarik One: (Part 1) You've all had a taste of the Bog of the Fungus Demon,
it seems to be attached to planar sources and there is tale of a mushroom
vampire, and a demon and a fungal god. The very place tried to
Tesarik One: kill you all! We are still looking for evidence of Gator Bone's
ancestor who never returned from this place, but we've met a ghost named
Thansa and a arctic werepudding / dwarf named Robear Flintoc
Tesarik One: who has offered you some items to kill Leucopraxus. You've all
returned to Maria to give a report, and better prep yourself.
Tesarik One: (Part 2) Meeting Robear Flintoc again, he gives us the Arrow of
Slaying Fungi to help us kill Leucopraxus. But first we must deal with the
mushroom folk vampire Ju'rran Tji and his Black Slime
Tesarik One: upstairs. He was more formidable than he looked, but they were
both defeated and a sword called "Spore Slasher" was found.
Tesarik One: (Part 3) Lalibor Dunce and his two mushroom friends Mee-Shak
and Shad-Rak were released from the prison where Leucopraxus put them years
ago. Moving into another room (11), goblins were seen tending a
Tesarik One: massive jellyroll fungus, which turned out to be able to read
your deepest thoughts and spit out replicas! A fight ensued against the
jellyroll and the replicants, that ended with the jellyroll being
Tesarik One: destroyed.
Tesarik One: (Part 4) Breaking up a party in the Homage Lounge, they find
more replicants and a creature called Lawshrew, who turns out to be the smut
demon Darkspore with a bunch of fungus friends. He is very
Tesarik One: nearly destroyed, but runs away through the jelly membrane
door, leaving the group to deal with Ralen and his demon spore infestation,
and two invisible Phantom Fungi tormenting them! They've also got
Tesarik One: their first look at Leucopraxus on a tapestry.
Tesarik One: (Part 5) The phantom fungi dealt with, they head out and get a
good look at the living buildings they've been traveling through. A fungus
golem is tending the building, but they leave it alone.
Tesarik One: Going through another jelly door on pursuit of Darkspore, they
find themselves in the Fungal Jungle, and making their way across ends up
sparking an unseelie pixie assault! You all approach an algae
Tesarik One: infested large pool of water on the other side of the jungle.
Tesarik One: (Part 6) You make a deal with the slime dragon, Slurmshara, to
get rid of the annoying rooting graylings for her and if you do she will let
you pass. You dive into the filthy water following the light
Tesarik One: and find yourself in a cave with three ways to go. The left
ends up with a near-beheading from shelf mushrooms, the right slides you into
a cave full of treasure, two bog dogs, and a pit of bubbling
Tesarik One: black tar.
Tesarik One: (Part 7) Vincent steals the sword in amber, while Warren and
Alexis dip into the various chests and coffers to take what they can carry.
This enrages the bog dogs, and the mummifungus Kulpapec who
Tesarik One: follows the group back to the hallway and engages in combat.
Though, he ends up slain and the group heads down the straight path, finding
white fungus on the wall which freezes Raufak solid. A secret
Tesarik One: door is found, opening up into a very strange room with a big
mushroom inside of it and a round door.
Tesarik One: Don't forget Raufak has tiny mushrooms growing all over him.
aelvican: [ Mushroom Folk Vampire? Sounds like a Finntroll song. ]
Tesarik One: Ellis your skin is really thickened and get 4hp.
Tesarik One: Logen and Daemian, your skin has turned a luminescent green for
the next 24 hours, or take a potion of fungicide.
Tesarik One: Vincent and Alexis, you are still cursed and are covered in
black hairy fungus that is making you chilly. You need a Remove Curse.
Roguish Luck: "I've heard of freezing warts off, Rauf, but I think you went
too far for the mushrooms..."
Tesarik One: Raufak is finally thawing out, it only froze him for a few
rounds. I'll post the description of the room again.
Tesarik One: The long magenta floor of this 40 ft by 50 ft room is flanked
by black obsidian walls striated with white marble along the length of the
passage. At the far end is a massive round door made of pink
Tesarik One: granite, and next to it is a giant blue mushroom growing from a
wide crack in the floor. There is a platinum bar that apparently keeps the
door sealed but no hinges are visible.
Tesarik One: (Y'all rp!)
Tesarik One: "I don't think that mushroom's supposed to be there," the
little swamp halfling headed on through the secret door when it was found and
opened, and took a look around. They were still trying to find the remains of
her long lost
SwordOfAtrophy: "This is... far too nice a room to be here.. what gives.."
He stepped around, carefully, looking at the decor, keeping a bit away from
the mushroom, if such a thing were possible. He scratched his leather skin
absently, and was
RageofNocturne: :: Since they had a bit of a break so to speak he looked
through his bag and then brought out two remove curse potions and opened one
then drank it down then looked to Alexis and walked over and handed her the
second he had out-- He
Tesarik One: ancestor but so far had just found a whole lotta creepy shit.
RageofNocturne: re drink this...--he said and looked around the room
slowly-D-
SwordOfAtrophy: annoyed again. "So, do we kill it then?"
Raufak Agnarsson: Being frozen didn't kill off those mushrooms? Well that
was a waste of a good freezing. He thawed out and grunted as soon as he was
able to, sporting a face full of scowl. "Shoulda brought some more alcohol
with me." He needed a
Raufak Agnarsson: drink after all that. But he'd drank it all with
the..whatever fella that wanted to share a drink!
Roguish Luck: Logen stepped further in to the room with obsidian walls with
each step echoing throughout the corridor. "Nah, we loot the pink door then
waste time killing it."
AMarieDarkrose: :: she was inthe tunnel as she looked to the froze Rauf as
he beginsn to unthaw , takeing the bottle that Vincent gave to her she
opened it and drank it knowing she could trust him in what he gave to her::

Tesarik One: If anyone has Knowledge (Planes) I'll allow a knowledge roll.

Roguish Luck: The Northman continued to study the room only to move over
towards the mushroom growing through the crack in the floor. His eyes went to
the platinum bar and the pink door then came back to the mushroom.
Raufak Agnarsson: Of course someone had knowledge planes, that's why Raufak
was here! Hopefully is brain unthawed.

Tesarik One: As Logen approaches the door and the mushroom since they are
beside each other, the mushroom gives off a burst of spores. Logen roll an
Endurance. DC15.

Roguish Luck: Logen waved his hands while holding his breath as he spotted
the mushroom burst some spores in to the air. He was moving away from just as
soon as he could.
Raufak Agnarsson: "Uh, don't..." Well, spores were already unleashed! He
cringed and waited to see what happened.
Tesarik One: Logen passes, you are unaffected by the spores.
Roguish Luck: "Watch out... It's live."
Raufak Agnarsson: "Yeah, and the spores age you."
SwordOfAtrophy: "...Now can we kill it?"
AMarieDarkrose: :: she looked to Rauf as she shook her head:: and you
thought iwas bad at touching things
Raufak Agnarsson: "Considering I'm pretty sure my lifespan's already shorter
than all of yours, someone kill that fucker with fire before I get near it.
Please."
Raufak Agnarsson: "It'll just grow back unless it's fire though, so I mean
that in the most literal sense." He backed away from it as far as possible
while still being in the room and not touching the walls.
Tesarik One: The Indigo Temporal will not actually attack, but if anyone
gets near it, it will send out spores.
SwordOfAtrophy: Ellis dropped the campfire bead on the floor, to create the
fire. It was a giant mushroom, it was doubtful that the campfire would hurt
it, but he did need flames. He took out a few arrows and the greatsword bow
from his
SwordOfAtrophy: back. "Anyone got some spare cloth? I'd rather not destroy
my shirt..."
Tesarik One: "I can help," She was a shaman after all and had some magic in
her little cute halfling bones. She didn't want to get too close though, so
she just focused with the aid of her gator bone staff and sent a burst of
fire towards the
Tesarik One: indigo temporal, right after handing over some spare cloth to
Ellis.
RageofNocturne: :: I dont have any but what im wearing but i can breath
fire. Step back. --he said as he got ready but then Gator did her fire with
her staff-D-
Tesarik One: "Go ahead and breathe it, it's not going to hurt." She sent her
blast of fire at the giant mushroom and stepped back.
Tesarik One: The one blast of fire from Gator Bone would catch part of it on
fire but it needed a little bit more than one blast of halfling fire.
SwordOfAtrophy: Taking the cloth, he wrapped it around a few arrows, then
lighting them on fire. Hopefully they would stay lit as the arrows hit home
in the mushroom, then he fired at some at the shroom, making sure to keep
everyone out of the line
SwordOfAtrophy: of fire.. for safety reasons.
RageofNocturne: :: He nodded then changed his armband for the chimera band
then used a charge of it to breath a cone of fire down the way over the
mushroom!-D-
AMarieDarkrose: :: she watched as the mushrooms caught fire and tilted her
head :: hopefully that will take care of the dayum things
Roguish Luck: Logen just watched the barbeque about five feet away from all
of this fire slinging. "That really smells terrible..."
OnlineHost: Howling Ember has left the room.
Tesarik One: Between all the firestarters, the Indigo Temporal was burned
away to ash. It did smell terrible, burning shroom, but at least they were
now able to approach the round door with the platinum bar across it.
Raufak Agnarsson: "Smells like when my dad would cook over a campfire while
we were between towns." He wrinkled his nose. "Never did learn to cook, I
guess." Alright, he'd move closer to the door then to have a look at it.
RageofNocturne: :: He kept the bracers on then walked over to the door and
looked at the bar-- What a pretty metal that bar is. -D-
Tesarik One: The door appears far more ornamental than practical. The bar
isn't locked or anything, just sat in place.
SwordOfAtrophy: He put everything away again, trying to ignore the smell.
"Yea, that smells like when I cook.. well.. anything.." Ugh.
Roguish Luck: Logen made his way to the bar past the stinking mushroom.
While Raufak was studying, Logen made the attempt of removing the bar.
Raufak Agnarsson: Well if nobody else was going to, he'd try and open the
door up. Ah but there was Logen to the rescue. After being frozen solid, he
was a bit more hesitant to touch anything.
Raufak Agnarsson: And according to Pam the bar lifted without trouble and
the door would push forward and down like a drawbridge!
Roguish Luck: Huzzah.
Raufak Agnarsson: (Except bold that last one since I forgot to.)
Tesarik One: Yep it did, sorry was afk.
Tesarik One: The door has opened onto a 10 foot wide ledge attached to a
rickety, wood planked bridge that stretches across a chasm of darkness. you
can see the tops of giant mushrooms below, but not the floor on
Tesarik One: which they rest. Rugs and tapestries of elaborate weaves cover
the ceiling, and all depict scenes of unknown battles. in stark contrast to
other designs you have seen elsewhere in the complex, those
Tesarik One: pictured are dwarven.
Tesarik One: At several points along the 50 ft bridge are glass cases
suspended from the ceiling. Inside each glass enclosure is an urn, a wand, a
book, and an amulet. Attached to the front of each pedestal is a
Tesarik One: tiny plaque. Words are written in Fungin, Abyssal, and Common.
Roguish Luck: "Now there's something I didn't see coming.." Logen regarded
the dwarven deco with a wave of his hand. He looked to the bridge and it's
planks. He wagered Rauf and Logen on the bridge at the same time would be a
bad idea. "One at a
Roguish Luck: time...?"
SwordOfAtrophy: He peered past the people at the door. "Oh joy. Who wants to
bet that tries to fall on someone..."
Tesarik One: Well it was rickety but it would hold them up.
Raufak Agnarsson: Oh good, three languages for the price of one! He
shrugged. "Works for me." On through he went. He gave a little thump with one
foot to see if it'd hold more. If it held him at least, everyone else should
be okay! Just not all at
Raufak Agnarsson: once perhaps. Or perhaps it was sturdier than it looked.
He looked at the little plaques and the glass cases to see what they were all
about.
AMarieDarkrose: :; she watches Logen and Ruaf on the bridge to see if they
are going to make it across first before she would step onto it ::
Roguish Luck: Logen was going to allow everyone to go before him. Logen was
over three hundred with all of his gear.
Raufak Agnarsson: He certainly had to be close to that, himself! He did pick
off one of his mushrooms and toss it over the bridge, however, maybe that'd
lighten the load.
SwordOfAtrophy: He took a moment, to affix the mantle of the silver wyrm to
himself. Raufak had used one charge, but it still held two more, and it just
might save his life or someone elses. He'd wait until second to last, in case
he needed to do
SwordOfAtrophy: a dive bomb to catch someone.
Roguish Luck: "Get going. If Rauf didn't fall through, none of you will."
Logen waved them on.
AMarieDarkrose: :: nodded to logen as she steps on the rickety bridge and
began to cross it , her hand on the hilt of her sword not sure what will come
out as she walked carefully :: Rauf think he just needs to well stop eating
perhaps ?.. ::she
AMarieDarkrose: chuckled a bit then wrinkled up her nose to Logen then
wink:: just messing with you dear`d
RageofNocturne: :: He nodded a bit then walked slowly across the bridge
looking around as he held the ropes on his way across-D-
Raufak Agnarsson: "Well I didn't give it my vigorous dance across the bridge
test. Some of 'em might walk too heavy, never know." He was still checking
out the glass cases! They could go past him probably.
Raufak Agnarsson: (Hang on, Pam's comp got unplugged by the doggie)
Roguish Luck: "Why the Hell would dwarves make a bridge like this...?"
Weren't they stone masons and all that mess? Logen watched two pass by and
then he looked to Ellis. "You're next."
AMarieDarkrose: come on Ellis with your skinnyass you should be able to just
fly across it

SwordOfAtrophy: "It's a long way down, without some kind of support from
below, I don't see how you could get the stones to stay long enough for the
mortar to dry." Though he wasn't an expert on bridge building. He'd travel
across, being probably

SwordOfAtrophy: the second lightest. "My ass is no skinnier than your ass,
babe."
AMarieDarkrose: oh?.. so now you are checking out my ass again Ellis.. i
thought i warned you about that :: she chuckled to him then gave him a
smile::
Roguish Luck: "You're both skinny... Start flicking Rauf to get him moving
as you pass him by." Logen allowed some distance between him and the others
before he started on to the bridge. "If he isn't going to take'em, there's no
point in staring
Roguish Luck: at it."
Tesarik One: Ok, so you are on a 10 foot wide ledge across a chasm full of
mushrooms and there are glass cases suspended from the ceiling along the way.
Raufak Agnarsson: But he didn't wanna move, he was readin and lookin!
Tesarik One: Urn, Wand, book and Amulet
Tesarik One: Each item has a plaque written in Fungin, Abyssal and Common.
If you read a plaque, let me know. If you touch an item, make sure I know
which one you are touching.
Roguish Luck: "Let's go, Gator. Perhaps your ancestor rests in the urn."
Raufak Agnarsson: Raufak's just readin plaques, which is why he's taking a
good bit to get across the bridge. He also had to see how well the three
languages were translated to each other, bwaha.
SwordOfAtrophy: "You did.. but it's soooo prettyyyyyyyyy.." Wink.
Tesarik One: "Maybe..." she headed on over the ledge, it was 10 foot wide
after all, plenty big, and stopped at the urn to read the plaque.
RageofNocturne: :: He looked around then looked to the amulet plaque and
would read it after he had made his way across the bridge-D-
Tesarik One: The Urn Plaque says, "Urn of Speaking Ashes, stolen from Duke
Szeffri."
Tesarik One: The Wand Plaque says, "Wand of Mudholes, stolen from Emperor
Ozhile."
AMarieDarkrose: :: she had saw the plagues and moved over to one of them
then looked at it to read the one with the amulet and touched it ::

Tesarik One: The Amulet says, "Ocarina of Summoning, stolen from King Bakel
Arra."
Tesarik One: The book plaque says, "Volume of Scribes, stolen from J.K."
Tesarik One: Alexis, roll a Willpower vs spell.
Raufak Agnarsson: Well that one was most interesting to him. "Who the fuck
is or was J.K.?" Could he roll a knowledge on that? And no, he wasn't
touching anything yet.

and looked around-D-
Tesarik One: BUT as soon as Alexis touches the plaque.... a spell instantly
is cast upon the door that you used as a drawbridge. It doesn't close, but
you cannot pass that way while the spell is in effect. (Antipathy Spell)
Roguish Luck: "God...damn it.."
AMarieDarkrose: :: she turned to look at Rauf as she lowered he rhead down

Tesarik One: At the far end of the ledge you are on, is what looks like a
solid wall. It is in fact a solid wall! There is a 6 inch hole near the floor
though.
Raufak Agnarsson: "Probably an asshole, have you ever known a friendly
king?" Wait what? Did that mean they couldn't go back through it or they
couldn't go further in? Oh a solid wall. He couldn't see the tiny little hole
from where he was.
Tesarik One: You cannot go back the way you came, and going forward brings
you to a solid wall with a hole through it.
SwordOfAtrophy: He had kept walking, ignoring all the silliness and
treasurey things. He came to a wall. "Huh.. dead end.. sort of.. there's a
hole here.. not sure I wanna stick anything in there."
Raufak Agnarsson: "Surely they wouldn't just put this here. One of you
perceptive types check out this wall, I'm gonna have a think on these names."
AMarieDarkrose: ::she then turned to Logen :: God didnt damn it i think i
did :: she looked at the now solid wall with a tiny hole in it :: great now
what the fuck have i done

Raufak Agnarsson: "Just put in one of the fingers you don't use very much."
Roguish Luck: Logen had passed by those that wanted to continue to look and
touch things. He was at the wall by now. He looked to the hole, then
crouched and peered through it.
AMarieDarkrose: sure Ruag you do that and tell me how it turns out yes?

waited to hear what was through that hole-D-

Tesarik One: Gator was having a hard time not touching some of the items,
but she was reading the various plaques. She kinda wanted the book, but she
wasn't about to break the glass and take it - at least not yet. She peered
down as Logen was
Raufak Agnarsson: "Couldn't be worse than being impaled by a jagged chunk of

Tesarik One: A mass of goo is ejected from one of the holes, rising in the
form of a giant cobra-shaped ooze. Two slanted indentations appear as eyes. A
whispery voice in your head says, "You shall live if you can

SwordOfAtrophy: Snake oozes now? All these weird hybrids. Ellis shrugged. He
didn't know how to mentally communicate, so he just said aloud. "Ok, what do

Tesarik One: "We haven't found Leucopraxus, and we haven't found my
ancestor. We should keep going!" She bounced a little.

Tesarik One: This 50ft by 60ft egg shaped chamber has an 8 foot long
platinum sarcophagus resting in the center. near the top of the room is a
giant black gem that sheds a morbid glow. The walls are pocked with
Tesarik One: hundreds of 3 inch to 5 inch sized holes.
Tesarik One: "Yeah, if I can get myself through behind you. But what of the
others?" She pointed to Alexis and Logen.
Roguish Luck: "Yeah... Let's get on with it..." Logen stood up right on his
own two feet, hands falling to his sides.
Tesarik One: "My father.... has not been here in a very long time. I
believeeee his enemies have finally destroyed him. My father put me here to
protect me, and now I am trappeddddd."
Raufak Agnarsson: "Guess I'll go right ahead of you then. If they wanna go

longer shows up and so I believe he is destroyed. But what am I to doooo

moved to the sarcophagus to do the investigating.
Tesarik One: "There is a Forbiddance spell upon letting me leave a certain
area. The spell must be destroyed."
Raufak Agnarsson: "Ah, alright. And what's to stop you from dissolving us
all as soon as we've helped you out, then escaping to wreak havoc on the
world?"

fake slit eyes over at it then to the group.
Roguish Luck: Logen shrugged and then set both hands on the lid to shove it
open with all of the strength in his legs, arms and back.

Tesarik One: The lid was extremely light, far too light to be a true sarc
lid in fact, and fell over with ease. In fact, it was not empty but what it
was full of was not pleasant. The entire sarcophagus was full of purple
mildew which
Tesarik One: immediately released it's spores into the entire room! Gyvzaq
laughed in their heads, "I told you it was not of importance. Humanoids do
not ever listen."

spell on them as well. She offered a wink to Ellis.
Raufak Agnarsson: "Hm. Well. Nevermind, now you don't have that leverage I
guess. What else you got on offer?"

ridiculous fizzwinken weapon to shift it from a falchion to a warclub. A

Roguish Luck: Logen didn't hear a damn thing Rauf said. He was just
listening to Gator speak to the goo-snake.

and slid across the floor to one of the passageways. It looked like all the
other small holes in the walls, hundreds of them in fact, but when she

The look on Logen's face was getting more and more agitated while the ooze
form continued to speak in his head.
Tesarik One: As for the room Gator and Ellis were heading into, it was
bathed in total darkness, not even your light sources can pierce the
darkness. The smell of decay reaches your nostrils and you can sense movement
within the chamber.
Tesarik One: Gyvzaq was getting annoyed, and when they wouldn't just tell
her, she just up and polymorphed into a gray moth, very tiny, and it flew
into one of the small holes.
Tesarik One: "Fine. Enjoy all the surprises. When you decide you want to
help me, come find me."
SwordOfAtrophy: He put a hand on Gators shoulder, and leaned down to
whisper. "Tread carefully doll. This might not go the way you're hoping it
will." In the darkness, he couldn't do much except wait.
Roguish Luck: Logen looked up to the glowing gem in the ceiling wondering
what shape it was.
Raufak Agnarsson: Well...that was a thing. A moth? "Y'know I wish ooze
demons were just oozes that were bigger or something, and not...that shit."
Tesarik One: It was just a crystalline shape jutting through the wall,
glowing a soft black light.
Raufak Agnarsson: There, whisper session done.
Raufak Agnarsson: "Think we should follow 'em through that hole?" Assuming
it stayed big enough. They probably would've heard a horrible crunch if it
hadn't!

darkness go away, being that it was seemingly a deeper darkness spell. She
began to back up, and head the way she'd come. She wasn't comfortable not
being able to see or do

means he's dead, right..?"
Tesarik One: anything in the darkness.
Raufak Agnarsson: "It'd take too long, there's way too many of these damn
holes. We should mark the one we came through, though. So we can at least get

other two, finally. And probably unhappily.

held back for a second. He had to take a chance, regardless of how it might
end.. though if she was safe that was ok. "Risloneaux? Are you in here."
Tesarik One: A little creature appeared... a jelly quasit. A wee demonic
jelly, which was Gyvzaq's familiar. He'd been sent to attack, which he did!

and then slammed his foot down on top of it to smash it in to the earth.

Raufak Agnarsson: Well he couldn't do much of anything if he was surrounded
on all sides. He figured the tunnel actually went somewhere that wasn't..more
small tunnel.
Tesarik One: "Aye, I'm comin', here I come..." Risloneaux reached out,
grabbing whatever hands were waiting for him, the Shadows in the room could
not harm him but you all can feel the utter cold of the evil shadow tutors as
they move around.

Ellis didn't go much further since it's pitch black)

would find it. "I'm right here.." He half turned his head to talk to the
others. "Go back, I'll bring him out.. not a good idea to remain in here."

something but as of yet combat has not started in that room.

Tesarik One: It's deeper darkness, darksight does not work. Anyone who is in
the tunnel needs to back out, so that Ellis and Gator can get Risloneaux out.
There's nothing but shadows in that room and they will attack if the group
goes in.

Tesarik One: While we wait for Logen everyone should just head back out,
sorry for the confusion.

grasped firmly enough to lead him along.
Tesarik One: Logen is fighting a tiny sized jelly quasit in the main room
with the sarcophagus.
Tesarik One: Out he went, with Gator and Ellis, until he was pulled out. He
dusted himself off and looked around.

looked around her the place gave her the chills as her hand went to her

researched the Fungal Jungle for many years, and followed one of the
creatures into this section of the

Tesarik One: As the others appeared back in the room, the jelly quasit
chickened out and dove into one of the other holes, which widened into a
normal passageway. 3/5 passageways found.

Tesarik One: AND, this is where we will end tonight. Not enough time to
really fight Gyvzaq and explore the other rooms.

Tesarik One: Thanks y'all! We are almost done with this... depending on some
choices you all make, we could be done in one more session. At the most, two.

week. there's lots of options. such as just leaving the ooze demon in her
trapped area and going back the way you came. you got Risloneax and you are
pretty sure
