they've stolen two small children. So, into the hive we go! Fighting 15
soldiers, a taskmaster, and then the myrmarch only to have them go
Tesarik One: further in the hive and block our way.

Tesarik One: Ok....so nothing changed. You could have just said that lol.
Tesarik One: Anyway, let's get moving.
Tales0fBeauty: Well she went up a rank, i musta had her health wrong last
time....)
Tesarik One: So, you all are in the hive, a cave system near Rocky Field,
and you fought a bunch of soldier ant men, a taskmaster, and a myrmarch.
Several of them got away through an opening in the big cavern and large rocks
were rolled in
Tesarik One: place over the opening. (Begin RP)
OnlineHost: Seitoshi x Tsumi has entered the room.
SwordOfAtrophy: His face blanched as he saw the way blocked. He exhaled
slowly, damn things always making everything so damn difficult. He stretched
a bit, and looked towards Viola. "Vi, darling, be a dear and get the door,
would you?"
OnlineHost: Seitoshi x Tsumi has left the room.
Raufak Agnarsson: Bastards, all blockin stuff. He was prepared to stat
chopping and shoving and breakin through the rocks if he could, but
well..Viola was asked first, so she could do it if she wanted! Sword went
onto his back once more so he could
Raufak Agnarsson: watch and see what she did.
Roguish Luck: Heavy steps gave away his approach, purposefully heavy steps.
The hood attached to his shirt had been pulled over his head once again
having to travel abroad. "Someone having a problem with a door?"[d]
Tesarik One: Viola stepped towards the large rock that was now blocking
their way further into the hive, and tightened her hand wraps. "Give me a
moment," she had to center herself, and took a deep breath as her hands moved
to touch the rock
Tales0fBeauty: She would see the way blocked and she would hear ellis talk
to vi and she would nod firmly to them both as she would let the badass monk
handle things. Kaldra would be by her side sitting on his haunches his
little pointed ears
Tales0fBeauty: flickering this way and that as he looked forward, his muzzle
would twitch as he sniffed the air and his tail flickered behind him.
Raufak Agnarsson: He looked over towards Logen when he heard him and
grinned. "Seems that way, and the small blonde girl's been asked to fix it.
Which would of course be one's first choice when there's large muscly fellas
about."
RageofNocturne: :: Moving away from the wall he hung his hammers on his belt
and looked to the others-- Anyone else want to pound away at them for a bit?
--he asked and then looked to Raelgil and smiled-D-
Tesarik One: before her a few times. Her hands grew bright blue as she used
a little bit of magic to increase her strength (Eagle Claw spell, +2 STR) and
then she used her fists to crack the stone open. At least, that's what she
hoped to do. She
Tesarik One: might very well just hurt her hands. (Water Splitting Stone -
INT and STR which would work great if she actually had any STR lol)

Raufak Agnarsson: "Well if she don't get it, I call next."
Tales0fBeauty: When vilkas smiled to her she would return his smile with a
rare but warrented smile of her own and she would watch vi do her thing, if
vi didnt break it there were pleanty of others who could try as well.
SwordOfAtrophy: "I have faith in my girl. Besides, nothing like watching a
lil girl crack a rock with her bare hands." C'monnnn Vi.
Tesarik One: A crack formed where she hit it, moving upwards, but.... not
quite enough to take the whole rock down. DC is lowered though.
Tesarik One: She stepped back and shrugged, snickering. "Ok big fellows, you
do it."
Raufak Agnarsson: He wasted no time at all in darting in to chop at the rock
with his big ol falchion, to try and finish up the job!

SwordOfAtrophy: He reached out, with one arm, and snagged Vi around her
waist to pull her into a hug, his other hand patting the top of her head.
"Awwww, you're still cute thouggghhhh..."
Tesarik One: She grinned and hugged him as well. "Good."
Tesarik One: The rock cracked and big chunks could be pulled away, so they
could follow into the crevice.
Roguish Luck: Logen's brows raised up as he watched the young one crack the
boulder. Alright, he was impressed. He was alright letting the half-orc put
in the elbow grease. The Northman opted for flesh to strike with his blade,
not stone. [d]
Raufak Agnarsson: And, just in case he'd done something silly like forget to
put his weapon back to its adamantine state where he liked it, he checked the
blade out to make sure he hadn't just fucked it all up against the rock.
Seeing that he had not
Raufak Agnarsson: been that dumb, he nodded, put the weapon on his back once
again, then started tuggin out big chunks of rock and tossing them aside.
Tales0fBeauty: When the rock was finally broken she would move to help clear
the chunks out of the way so they could move forward.
Tesarik One: She moved in and pulled big chunks out of the way, clambering
over the stones to peer down the passageway where they'd gone. "Remember, we
need to find the two children," she reminded the group.
Tesarik One: Anyone who has "Alert" skill, will hear the clicking and
chippering of Insectid down the passageway.
Roguish Luck: Twitch of the lobe at the foreign sound. Logen stepped forward
and signaled silence to the others. "You all hear that?"[d]
Tales0fBeauty: She would give a firm nod to vi and then she would follow
after her, kaldra stayed at her side those long pointed elven ears would
flicker on either side of her head as she would hear the familiar clicking
and chippering noises up
Tales0fBeauty: ahead "yeah we must be getting close..."
SwordOfAtrophy: Ellis wasn't physically suited for manual labor, so he let
the people with actual muscle do the lifting, though he tilted his head.
"Yea, they're probably waiting for us."
Raufak Agnarsson: "Nope, can't hear a thing." Maybe he hit the rock hard
enough that his ears were ringing? No, he just never heard a damn thing!

Tesarik One: She couldn't hear anything herself, and stopped a moment when
they said they heard something. Moving aside, she wasn't keen on being the
first one into
Tesarik One: a hive full of ant men, no telling how many there were deeper
inside!

Tales0fBeauty: When Vi stepped aside she would move forward she was a sheild
so she didnt mind being first at all!
Tesarik One: It is a crevice passageway you are moving through, but there is
light up ahead, and the shimmering that bespoke of water ahead as well. You
get to a smaller cave where an underground pool feeds into it, and a few
pails have been
RageofNocturne: :: He would lift his shield and bring out Rejavik once more
and stepped forward after Raelgil-D-
Raufak Agnarsson: He was just fine letting other people go first for a
change, so he followed along after the zorcans.
Tesarik One: tossed aside as if those getting water began to move quickly.
There is the body of a man, dressed (from what you can tell) as a farmer, his
body has been halfway picked off and eaten.
SoI Knight: ::Ralen was walkin behind the group as he looked forward to
takin out these ant people for takin those children. Lookin over towards the
half eaten man, he'd narrow his eye's a bit and then looked ahead, attemptin
to stay alert
Roguish Luck: "And I thought the crows could clean a corpse.." Logen stepped
forward coming to kneel next to the body. "Anyone recognize him?"[d]
SoI Knight: unknowing when they may be attacked.:: [d]
Tales0fBeauty: As she moved forward she would touch the shield tattoo on her
arm and her sheild would materialize in her hand and her sword was drawn as
well, she would stop when she saw the body and she would shake her head some
"Those ants are
Tales0fBeauty: horried creatures..." as much as she loved nature, she did
not like these giant ants one bit!
SwordOfAtrophy: He'd bring up the rear, mainly as a vanguard, but in a small
way because Vi had a nice backsi..or just as vanguard, someone had to make
sure they didn't end up in a pincer attack. "They're the same as anything
else, defending their
SwordOfAtrophy: home. Of course, kidnapping children is bad and well, we
should ensure they pay a price for that."
Raufak Agnarsson: "They're not horrid creatures, they're just doing what
ants do, only scaled up." There was an upside to knowing a bit about
everything!
Tesarik One: She moved over towards the man's body and knelt down, then
shook her head. He wasn't anyone she knew, but she hadn't spent much time
this far west in Sarkotos. "Poor fellow." She rose, and glanced around.
Tales0fBeauty: She would give ellis a frim nod as she would hear his words
those pointed elven ears twitched slightly on either side of her head "I just
hope the childern are still alive."
Tesarik One: As you look around the dimly lit area, you find two
passageways. One straight across from the crevice, and one is much smaller to
the right. They would have had to squeeze their big bodies through the one to
the right.
RageofNocturne: :: He looked to the body and shook his head a bit-- Poor
man. --he said and walked on after Raelgil--The quicker we get to this lair
the sooner we can save those children...--he said and looked around at the
passageways-- Hmm...-D-
Raufak Agnarsson: "Not like they kidnapped the children because of some
malicious intent, they just found the newest food source and took some for
their queen. That's what I'd guess anyhow." Shrug. He wrinkled his nose at
the hole on the right, that
Raufak Agnarsson: didn't look fun to get through.
Raufak Agnarsson: nearest, not newest!
Tales0fBeauty: When she saw the two passage ways being in the lead she would
look down to Kaldra as if trying to see if he had discerned which path to
take as he was the tracker of the group though one looked like it would be
harder for them to
Tesarik One: "We need to decide now I think, if we find the children, do we
continue into the hive to find the Queen or do we leave when we find the
children?"
Tesarik One: Kaldra could tell that both passages had been used recently.
RageofNocturne: :: We will have to protect the children though the hive is
an ever present issue and must be dealt with aswell.-D-
SwordOfAtrophy: "Sure, but if we 'defend' the children, they'll realize it's
a food source more trouble than it's worth, and we can convince them to look
elsewhere. Without calling in the army for genocide."
Tesarik One: "If they are intelligent enough to reason." They were, after
all, simply hive minded creatures following their orders from the Queen.
Tesarik One: Straight?
Tesarik One: To the Right?
Raufak Agnarsson: He opted for straight, so he'd start heading that way,
unless someone stopped him!
RageofNocturne: :: Raelgil and myself can provide a nice defensive wall for
the children if it comes to that Ellis. Nothing before has ever broke though
a defense Raelgil and myself have mounted.-D-
Tales0fBeauty: fit through, then she would hear vi's words "Well our quest
is to find and return the childern...." then she would nod to kaldra "Both
paths have been used recently so if we go straight it looks the eaiser path,
and that was the
Tales0fBeauty: path she was going to take.
Tesarik One: It was a short path, and the Ant Men were ready as they went
further into the hive. You all step out into a larger area of the hive, with
tunnels dotting it all over, going here and there. There are soldier ant men
guarding
SwordOfAtrophy: "Any creature can realize that loosing several of it's
comrades isn't worth harvesting that type of food. Like eating a certain
cupcake means losing a finger, soon you'd lose your appetite for it."
Roguish Luck: "Hive mind... Their mind isn't their own... Some losses are
acceptable... Pawns and knights..." Logen tapped at his temple as he walked.
"This could be the Queen testing her enemies' reaction."[d]
Tesarik One: the tunnels on paths around going up three levels. They held
spears, and stared down at the group as they entered the bottom area.
Tesarik One: More soldier ant men stood at the ready on the main level, with
a task master behind them as before, but this time a myrmarch was with them
already, donned in a bronze helm.

Tesarik One: Each group of "Ants" are 3 soldiers sticking together in a
group. So they are counted for us ooc as one enemy, but in flavor they are 3
ant-men each.
Raufak Agnarsson: "Yeah if it's even possible to convince them to leave the
people alone it'd be through the queen. Thankfully, I'm here, so if we get to
her we can actually talk to her." And there were ants. He sighed, drawing his
weapon once
Raufak Agnarsson: again. "Speaking of 'if'."
RageofNocturne: :: He would turn his head and watch Raelgil and then stepped
forward aswell then stopped on seeing the soldier ants and narrowed his
eyes-- Great more to smash..--he said and growled a bit then exhauled cold
air-- Raelgil...lets try

Tales0fBeauty: When she heard vilkas' words she would give a firm nod, they
were the sword and sheild its what they did! Then she would see the ant men
ready for battle her shield and sword already at the ready, "Sounds like a
plan to me."
Tesarik One: Just for clarification, everyone you are fighting is on level
1, there's soldiers guarding all the little ant holes on higher levels but
you aren't facing them yet.
SwordOfAtrophy: Ellis shook his head, and dropped into a ready stance.
"Don't suppose you guys would just give us the children so we can be on our
way? No? Have it your way.." He was speaking rhetorically, as he didn't
expect an answer, since he
RageofNocturne: :: He said then ran in his shield lifted to make his way
through any guarding up till the Taskmaster then would hold Rejavik firmly in
hand and slashed with his shield for the things body then struck with the
hammer for the things h

children huddling and hugging each other, far too scared to make a peep,

Tesarik One: Battle Sense - Reflect, The Taskmaster watched as Vilkas
approached, and readied his spear to stop the attack, and then send the spear
into his chest with a chitter.
Tesarik One: So 71 dmg then, to vilkas.
RageofNocturne: Celestial Smite- Reflect)
RageofNocturne: :: As his hammer and shield clashed with the spear and it
came in his body would glow with divine energies as he adjusted his shield to
clash with the spear and slice at the things arms and swung the hammer up for
the things head to

Tesarik One: (Fighter's Def - Evade) The ant man wasn't about to take damage
from this humanoid, and darted, skittering out of the way.
SwordOfAtrophy: He leaned closer to Vi, kissed her softly on the cheek, and
returned her whisper. "I'll distract helmet head, then."

Tesarik One: They let out a chittering, which anyone that understood
Insectid would just hear as a war yell, and headed into battle. One group
swayed over towards Raufak, slamming their spears in various places against
him.

Raufak Agnarsson: Thankfully he was ready, so he did some parrying and
evading to get out of the way of that. He chittered right back at them too!
Tesarik One: She smiled, and gave him a nod, then focused upon the children.
They could fight, she'd try to make her way towards the kids and get them out
of the way of all this combat lest they get hurt.
Tesarik One: He got a chitter back from the Myrmarch.
Raufak Agnarsson: He blinked, looking up towards the Myrmarch and chittered
once again!
SwordOfAtrophy: Ellis walked calmly through the carnage, towards Myrmach.
"Hey toodles, nice place you got here.. too bad you took what's not yours..."
Then he was moving, this way and that, dancing across the floor, blades
whirling to and fro, and
SwordOfAtrophy: cutting this way and that on the big ant with the shiney
helmet. (Deceptive Dance - Attack, plus 4rd stun, Save is WLP DC: 23)

Raufak Agnarsson: "You can't just...have some ant children!" He furrowed his
brow when Ellis went in all swords-blazing to incapacitate him.

Ellis came dancing his wya towards him he skittered to the side, but still
close to the children.

Tesarik One: Ellis and Raufak were keeping the Myrmarch's attention pretty
well, at least she hoped so. She used a bit of her magic to boost her
acrobatics, and her boots became covered with incarnum energy, soft blue
light
Tesarik One: that formed a pair of magical boots over her normal boots with
blue white fur at the tops. She darted towards that crevice, climbing the
sides of the walls like they were horizontal surfaces, (Walk the Walls) to
make her way around
SwordOfAtrophy: "...Are... are they trying to crossbreed?"
Tesarik One: the fighting and flipped down in front of the crevice (can move
up 8 feet without a check btw with Walk the Walls). If she managed to make
it......
Tesarik One: (Acrobatics to dodge past the myrmarch and to the children)

Tesarik One: then for the moment she crouched down in front of them,
whispering softly to them to comfort them while protecting them with her
body. "Shh, we're here to take you back home."

Tesarik One: The myrmarch chittered angrily as Viola slipped past, then his
attention went to Raufak as he seemed to be raising his "voice".
Raufak Agnarsson: And well, he didn't much care for getting stabbed at while
conversing, not to mention they hadn't stopped fighting and given up the
children, so he laid into the group of ants around him (ants 1 of course!)
with the choppin and
Raufak Agnarsson: hackin. "Well that's a bit fucked up." Oops! He repeated
that to the myrmarch in insectid! Chop chop.

breeds." Logen was taking slow steps towards a group of ant men. Gauntlet'd

men the size of halflings to over 7 feet tall working, carrying rocks away,
making more tunnels, expanding the hive. Some of the larger caverns which
looked natural made,
Tesarik One: but being used for the hive, had underwater springs, or even
rivers, where ant men fetched buckets of water. They would also see many
skeletons of various creatures picked clean (and possibly find some
interesting items along the
Tesarik One: way that were of no use to the ant-men). It was confusing in
the hive, and everything felt heavier the deeper you go, as if gravity was
heavier inside her hive.
Tesarik One: It was also very heavily lawful aligned, so anyone who is
chaotic will feel just the slightest bit of ...uncomfortable ... the deeper
they go.
Raufak Agnarsson: Yeah he didn't like it one bit. His weapon probably didn't
either.
SwordOfAtrophy: He wasn't very happy. Too much order for his taste.
Raufak Agnarsson: It was entirely too interesting to leave though!
RageofNocturne: :: As he moved along he would look over the items and shook
his head and looked to them-- As if we may take the items that are laying
here. Better use for them in the vault then laying in the dirt.-D-

Tesarik One: The myrmarch was actually taking them the shortest route to see
the queen, though it seemed that they walked for hours. Time moved different
deep within the hive, for they seemed to pass between the Material Plane, and
the Plane of
Tales0fBeauty: She would nod hearing vilkas words "yes maria could always
use more stuff in the vault for the new ones!" she would pick up what she
could along the way and she would continue to follow the ant to the queen.
She was Lawful good so
Tesarik One: Earth with every curving tunnel they took. Finally, they
arrived in a very large chamber that was filled iwth all manner of ant men,
hundreds of them, and several more myrmarchs with bronze helmets guarding
her. She was huge....
Tales0fBeauty: she actually felt right at home with the vibes of the place
though that heaviness was pressing on her the further they went into the
tunnels!
Tesarik One: with a brownish red carapace, ten foot long body, four feet
high, and 3,500lbs of big juicy ant-lady. She could not move. At all. She sat
there, being tended to, and laying eggs.
Tesarik One: She was the only female in the hive, for if an of the eggs
birthed females they were taken away to make their own hives.
SoI Knight: ::Well coming to the large chamber and seeing that the stronger
soldires stayed next to her. Looking up to the giant ant lady. Ralen's eye's
narrowed and a deep breath was taken. Nothing was said....::[d]
Tesarik One: "You have arrived," the voice was again through telepathy to
their minds in their mother tongue.
RageofNocturne: :: The lawful feeling didnt bother him much and he would
also collect any stray unused items and put them in his bag for the vault
then walked along into the large chamber and looked around then to the
Queen-- Indeed we have....you
Raufak Agnarsson: "Yes, it's wonderful to see you in person! You're every
bit as majestic as your voice in my head led me to believe." Said with a grin
in a very sincere tone, because one of the things his dad trained him in was
acting damnit!
Tesarik One: She has true seeing, by the way, so if anyone is not in their
true form she'd know. She can also scan surface thoughts, so if you are
thinking about killing her still, IM me.
RageofNocturne: wished to show us the inner workings of the hive and i
believe i have seen it. It is actually quite lawful here....but what i cannot
understand is what if it is so lawful...why attempt to steal innocent
children to enslave them?-D-
Tesarik One: Several of the soldier ants move towards Ralen, simply standing
nearby, butts of their spears on the ground.
SwordOfAtrophy: "Lawful does not mean good, Vilkas. It means orderly."
Raufak Agnarsson: "I think you've confused lawful with good."
Tesarik One: "I do not understand," she said to them all, at Vilkas
question. "What law of my people tells me I cannot seek servants of the
lesser creatures?"
Roguish Luck: Eventually Logen would calm and set the Bastard back in it's
scabbard. They hadn't been followed out and there wasn't any voice in his
head anymore. For the time being, his eyes fell to the young ones infront of
him. Who knew how
Tales0fBeauty: Kaldra was a bit nervous and intimadted by the huge queen so
she would pick him up and held him in her arms as she would pet him softly
she would look to the queen and she would speak in the ant language "is there

Tesarik One: The girl ran to Logen and wrapped her arms around him, while
Viola held the boy and made their way through the rocky area. She was
actually glad that Logen had come with her, they had traveled quite a ways
from the village after all
Tesarik One: "Thank you for your aid."
Raufak Agnarsson: He let out a small sigh. He'd already gone over this, of
course, but he'd let them yammer on about it! He decided to look around a bit
more.

talky thing. He walked over to the ant group, and looked over their spears.
"I suppose you make all these yourself.. not too bad. Materials are less than
stellar though."
Tales0fBeauty: She would look to the queen "not search out and enslave
others, perhaps only stick to those who wander on your territory and we can
inform the surrounding villages to stay away, if someone comes here its their
own fault..."

Tesarik One: She did not seem to change her already pleasant voice in their
heads though she still was confused as to what Raelgil wished of her people.
"So we are to sit in our hive, all 400 plus of us, and wait for food to
wander into our
Tesarik One: hive? Would you tell the village where the younglings came
from, that they were only able to shoot and kill the deer and wild boar and
squirrels that happen to wander into their village?"
Tesarik One: "Why do you think of us as lesser beings than those of your
kind?"

Tales0fBeauty: "food is different, im sure there are pleanty of large
animals around you could feast on instead of intelligent beings....but i
would ask you not enslave others. and no i dont think any less of you or your
kind, i just wonder if

Tesarik One: Viola smiled towards Logen and the girl, and hadn't remembered
he had a horse! So good, once they got to the top, they'd be able to get them
to their parents quickly.
Tesarik One: "So you do not slay intelligent creatures?" She moved, just a
little bit, but not much. Wiggled really. She knew the answer.
Tesarik One: She was able to connect to any willing mind up to 50 miles all
around her.
Raufak Agnarsson: Not to mention they'd killed some of her ant people.
Roguish Luck: Stay out. No trespassing. Violators will be butchered.[d]
Tales0fBeauty: She would look to the queen once more "I dont seek them out
to kill them no, only if they pose a threat to others or break the law..."
SwordOfAtrophy: "You still eat though... that's what she means."

follow the 'laws of the lands' you travel? what makes YOUR laws right, and

are going to live side by side with other beings and races, and you dont want
other groups like us coming and decimating your hive or killing you I would

yes further negotiations seemed a bit useless she would then hear vilkas'
words and gave a firm nod "I will find stormy and instruct her to do so." She

Tesarik One: Most of what you see are just ant bodies, of all sizes, and
piles of eggs behind the Queen but there is one passageway off to the side,
that a quick glance down spies what looks to be a sarcophagus, but it is only
a glance for more
Tesarik One: ants move down the passage blocking the view.
Roguish Luck: calvary warhorse would show up. His coat was midnight with
warpaint on his haunches in an old Zorcan symbol of the wolf. "He'll seat the
three of you and ride longer than if it were me." Logen wagered he weighed
more than the three

Tesarik One: Viola nodded and helped the children up on the horse, then got
on behind them. "You want us to ride ahead?" Viola asked Logen.

Tesarik One: As they began to make their way out, the myrmarch would lead
them back the way they came. More hours spent in the hive, as the heaviness
wore off, and the feeling of law pressing upon them felt lighter. They had
passed into the
RageofNocturne: :: He nodded to Raelgil and lifted a brow-- Excuse me Would
it be alright if i took a look at that Sarcophagus before i go? --he asked
the Queen and stood in place still-D-
Tesarik One: material plane again. What they would find though, is that they
had only been gone a very short time, despite it feeling as if they'd been
gone a good 5 hours in the hive. Time moved differently in the hive.
Tesarik One: "We must begin moving, you may take a quick look. It is of no
consequence to us."
Tales0fBeauty: She still held kaldra in her arms and she would follow the
ant out the way they had come."
Tesarik One: Already, a whole bunch of ant men were getting ready to lift
the queen. It would take a LOT of them to lift that much weight and move her.
Roguish Luck: The Northman nodded giving Viola a hand with the children.
"It's not but thirty minutes from here as the crow flies, right?"
Raufak Agnarsson: They could do it, ants were mighty!
Tales0fBeauty: indeed!
Tesarik One: She nodded.
Tesarik One: Yes they were!
RageofNocturne: :: He nodded and went over to the Sarcophagus and would look
it over then would well pry the thing open to look within since he was given
permission to look at it-D-
Tesarik One: There was more Valdenese markings on the sarcophagus, and when
opened, a mummified body lay inside. There was a scroll on its chest, but
nothing else.

Tesarik One: And, you all make it out, and the children are happily returned
to their parents. There is little you can do for the ones the ants killed and
ate. But you all have found something very interesting.... which should be
brought to
