ardent idolatry: The night before the current afternoon, Cordelia had sent
both Georg and Adalric a message asking them to join her in Mything, of all
places. There was no detail in the message, only that she would be at the
Mything Inn awaiting
ardent idolatry: their arrival. That did indeed to be the case because
Cordelia had made herself at home, taking centre stage and the spotlight from
the usual patrons of the inn. " You should have seen it! " She exclaimed,
holding her hands out as
ardent idolatry: she tried to convey the size of something. " It was bloody
huge, and I had to fit it into my mouth.. all at once! " There was an
appreciative nod at this, from the little crowd that had gathered around for
her story. " Course, I've
ardent idolatry: never had a salmon before, and if I hadn't stolen it..
maybe it would have turned out so much better. " She hummed softly, and
slapped her hand on her knee. " I need mead, " Came the announcement and the
young noble jumped down from
ardent idolatry: the table top, and made her way over to the bar with her
favourite tankard in hand. " Mead! " She demanded. It wasn't how she usually
acted, of course, but there was a rhyme to her reason. Today the Mistress was
dressed in a long
ardent idolatry: black ruffled dress, with red embroidery from her hip to
her breast which depicted a rising phoenix. Her hair was loose and in a side
ponytail, so that the last strands of her beautifully long and lush hair rest
against the top of
ardent idolatry: her breast, to bring the most attention to it and attention
did she find.
Georg Pryme: He'd gotten word from Cordy that his presence was requested, so
he spent some time closing up his shop and bouncing around portals to make
his way to Mything. He'd arrived in time to hear her talk of fitting
something in her mouth,
Georg Pryme: barking a laugh as he heard the reveal of what it had been. A
grin on his lips as he made his way over to the bar, hailing the tender and
asking for an ale of any variety. A wink given to Cordy as he waved while he
approached,
Georg Pryme: changing up the hug greeting to a more fitting taking of her
hand not holding her tankard as he lifted it to his lips and bowed over it to
place a kiss to her knuckles before releasing it. "Some tale there. Good to
see you." He
Georg Pryme: lifted his ale then and took a hearty swallow before setting
the vessel back atop the bar, leaning against it with his left elbow as he
watched her and the crowd while they spoke.
lurkerinshade: Adalric got his start soon as the letter had been received by
his bodyguard. Though the guard had been left behind at the Doxenian Chapter
of the Obsidian Heart, the Little Noble himself took up a steed and his arms
and armor prior
lurkerinshade: to making for Mythin. Naturally he would be the last to
arrive without the benefit of portals even with his closer proximity to their
destination. He provided none of the greeting that Georg proved willing to
give.. his manners much
lurkerinshade: more restained even than a handshake! His presence and a wave
would have to do before setting his ass down atop a stool of his own. -d
ardent idolatry: Georg and his constant public displays of affection amused
Cordelia greatly, and she lifted the hand of the kissed knuckle and patted
him gently on the cheek. " You're a silly old fool. " It was to the aloof
Adalric that her
ardent idolatry: attention turned, and her arm went around his shoulders
when he had finally seated himself. " Now tell me, little noble. " She
started with, before making a look at the room gesture with her arm, moving
it in a large arc. " What
ardent idolatry: information did you and your fool hardy partner in crime
get for me? " She had sent them on a mission after all, and she was expecting
some return on the investment she'd made in procuring the information. Little
did she know that
ardent idolatry: Adalric had paid the man twice, in the end. To Georg, she
turned her head and explained. " I sent my favourite little noble, and the
tracker out to find information we can use to get on board on of the ships I
was telling you
ardent idolatry: about the other day. "
ardent idolatry: one*
Georg Pryme: He just gave a simple nod at the way his affection was
returned, chuckling a bit as he knew it was the best he'd get from her in
public. Sitting himself down on a stool as well, he busied himself with his
drink while she inquired
Georg Pryme: about the information Adalric had sought out. "That so? You
do know . . . I've a way to make people talk without coin changing hands,
aye?" The corners of his mouth turned up a bit as he thought on it.
Torture? Not hardly. He
Georg Pryme: had entirely more fun ways to get people to speak wtihout even
wasting energy.
lurkerinshade: " Your would-be inside man has his vices. Gambling and
bedding his Captain's kin at that.. " The latter did seem like something that
should not be quite as known as it was to be passed on by Dex. A glance to
George brought his
lurkerinshade: shoulders up in a rise and fall. " No coin traded hands at
all. " It had occured to him not longer after the matter had ended that
neither he nor Quinn had pried enough to procur a specific tidbit. Well no
wonder Quinn seemed to
lurkerinshade: have chosen to leave even this to him! -d
ardent idolatry: " That's it? " She enquired with a brow arched; " I paid
good coin for that information, and that's all he gave you? Not a name, or
where we can find him? " Adalric proclaiming that no gold had exchanged
hands, rather than make her
ardent idolatry: angry, made her laugh. " You were taken for a fool, little
noble. What did you promise him? " There was a chuckle, before she turned her
attention onto Georg. " Oh, don't worry, dear. I'll make sure of your skills
yet, but I have a
ardent idolatry: relationship with that particular source of information,
and I like him in one piece. " She had a little network of thieves,
cutthroats, and black market traders. A pat was given to her little nobles
shoulder, before she said: " So
ardent idolatry: which of these strikes you as a ship hand? " The inn was
full of different manner of folk at different levels of drunkenness. In the
corner was a game of Rat, Bug and Spider going on, then in the other a game
of cards; someone had
ardent idolatry: started a drinking competition and someone had taken her
place telling stories.
Georg Pryme: He didn't really perk up at hearing her put his skills to use,
not visibly anyway. Having not much in knowing what to expect, he'd arrived
decked out in the best suit of armor he owned. A bit on the gaudy side, but
ensorcelled
lurkerinshade: " Nothing quite as valuable as I made it seem. " He grinned
despite Vixen's words.. what did it matter really? A little information
gathering would suffice to pick out the deckhand. The inquiry from Vixen set
Adalric's gaze to a

stand out like a sore thumb, but he took the painstaking measure as he'd
designed it to make it as intimidating as it could be. Designed to look as
if it had come from the

listened to the information changing hands, deciding it wouldn't hurt to
learn a think or two on how to select worthy ship hands.

ardent idolatry: The problem with gamblers is that they were all the same,
but Adalric would see subtle things about a few of the men at the card table
that said they were sailors, if not pirates. The tattoos upon their arms,
for instance, or an
ardent idolatry: earring. Georg would see the tattoos, of course and could
make his own estimations from that. Cord, on the other hand, already knew
who was who, because she'd spent the entire night in the Inn. Still, this was
an exercise for her
ardent idolatry: merry men, not her!
Georg Pryme: He took some time sizing up some of the rougher seeming sort,
knowing enough about ships that when it came time to combat, especially on
your own ship that you wanted folk who seemed competent in handling
themselves. Whether or not
Georg Pryme: they had any practical knowledge in fighting meant little to
him. He could train any that needed it if it came to that. He watched how
they carried themselves, if they wore weaponry, listened to their speech
patterns, doing what
Georg Pryme: he could to try and pick out a likely bunch that would be
suitable for the task. He settled on a slightly muscular fella with a mix of
tattoos on his arms, and a wench he could only describe as feisty, pointing
them out to Cordy as
Georg Pryme: he spoke to her. "Not really knowing what I'm looking for, I'd
pick those two. Seem capable of handling themselves in a fight, based on
their posture. Whether or not they have any talent in what a ship's crew
needs is beyond me."
lurkerinshade: Adalric took this oppurtunity to pry out a notebook from his
pack and began to jot down things that had been noted. Course looking the way
he did it wasn't much of an alarming thing.. course for all anyone knew he
could have been

ardent idolatry: the table top, and made her way over to the bar with her
favourite tankard in hand. " Mead! " She demanded. It wasn't how she usually
acted, of course, but there was a rhyme to her reason. Today the Mistress was

Georg Pryme: He just gave a simple nod at the way his affection was
