ardent idolatry: The lunch time rush had finished, and Cordelia's staff were
cleaning away the mass of plates, tankards and general mess that had been
left behind by the patrons. The mistress herself was sat at the bar, as
usual, with a tankard of
ardent idolatry: mead in one hand, and a dagger in the other. The dagger was
point down on the bar, and she was using the overly-sharp-instrument as a
fork: she had to eat too! The cooked meat was pushed between her lips, then
washed down with a
ardent idolatry: swig of the alcohol. " You know, Missy. Life is good. I
just won a castle in a fuckin' card game. " The owner of said castle had been
none too pleased that he'd lost, and had accused Cord of cheating - she
probably had, but that was
ardent idolatry: beside the point. " What should I call it? A good castle,
needs a good name. Wonder if I could make it float? " Now she was just
talking to herself because Missy, the lovely woman behind the bar at the
moment had rolled her eyes and
ardent idolatry: disappeared into the back.
cardinal tomb: The journey from Kullyr was not the most pleasant. There were
definitely better routes to take than through Rumeria, and into Doxenia but
she wanted to make sure she had a good sample of herbs before she reached the
guild house.
cardinal tomb: The woman and her horse had barely passed over the border
when she decided that she wanted to stop for supplies, and Drowsing became
her first stop. It was only a whinny from the aforementioned stead that drew
her attention to the
cardinal tomb: inn; he was tired, and he wanted to stop. " What do you
think, Nicodemus? Should be stop? " There was an ethereal own upon her
shoulder, who coo'd before turning its head. Emilia took that as a yes, and
decided that she could use
cardinal tomb: something to eat. After stabling her horse, she and her own
stepped through the doors of the Bullet and Blade and came to a halt. She
was dark haired, quite tall and exceedingly pale; there was a shimmer of
silver to her skin,
cardinal tomb: depending on where she stood in the light and a twinkle of
white through the dark strands. All that could be seen of her clothing was
the large thick fur cloak, and black boots - the rest was covered. It looked
like the rush had
cardinal tomb: finished, which suited her; taking the nearest table to the
door, she sat herself down and pulled off her gloves. The owl hovered down
to sit on the back of her chair.
lurkerinshade: A little lingering around the overlord nation of his island
homeland suited the young Lord just as well as loitering about the local
chapter of the Adventuring Company he'd signed up with. All that lingering
about led close to the border of Doxenia and their ill-tempered northern
neighbor in the duchy of
lurkerinshade: Drowsing. With a head-filled with glory-seeking there was
hardly room for tidbits of what sort of place his traveling about the kingdom
might have just led him. All in all the Bullet and Blade was just as good a
place to stop as any other. Least it looked cleaner
lurkerinshade: than the other stops that he'd made since stepping off the
ship in Westby! Looking every bit the green adventurer in his leathers and
small shield strapped to his back over his thick, winter cloak Adalric
stepped inside without much acknowledgement of any bell
lurkerinshade: or other sounding device that could have been triggered
during his push out of the elements. It proved to be the sight of an owl
inside an inne that stopped him in his tracks.. giving the bird a strange
look before diverting his glance towards the bar
lurkerinshade: instead! -d
edict unwritten: Quinn had been here and there, coming and going as he
pleased, the typical wanderer, going where the money was. The only change to
his routine was that his travels always brought him back to the Billet and
Blade, and for good reason
edict unwritten: too, nut that was his business. Entering the Inne, draped
in his usual heavy furs, he paused a moment at the door way to get warm.
Hands patted what snow there was off of him and he began to discard a layer
or two before proceeding
edict unwritten: further inside and taking a seat at the bar. "Something
strong," he made sure to pay up front, a habit that he had no intention of
breaking. Eyes danced side to side, seeing who was there today, of course
there was the Madame of
edict unwritten: the business and then his gaze caught the other two. He
looked over them closely, but did not stare. Just quick glimpses, hardly
noticeable. He shot Missy a smirk and when his mead finally arrived he took a
drink and savored
edict unwritten: its taste as he attempted to get warm.

lurkerinshade: A bit perturbed by the owl, a mage of some sort.. the woman
with the bird .. a mage maybe? A creepy thought.. mages were.. weird. Making
a point of not making eye-contact or possible mage he came to the bar just to
help out with that matter. " Rainfire Mead on the menu? " Well too much
book-reading might have made a young man a bit.. less than charming. -d
ardent idolatry: Cordelia watched the three make their way in, but didn't
stop eating her lunch; every so often, they'd hear the thud of her dagger
digging into the wood of the plate. " Course it is, friend. What kind of
place do you think this
ardent idolatry: is? " She could see a noble from a mile away, they had a
certain look about them and that meant she could make some money. " Missy,
get your ass out here. " The bar maid did just that, and she blew a kiss at
Quinn before turning her
ardent idolatry: attention onto the new guy. " Rainfire mead? Coming up,
sir! " Her every move was deliberate, even down to the way she turned to look
over the bottles above the bar, and the bend she just had to do, to get to
the tankard. Quinn got
ardent idolatry: his drink first, because she would have to go in back to
get the mead. " What brings you so far north? " Came from Cordelia
afterwards.
edict unwritten: Eyes shifted to the man and then back to Vixen. There was a
smirk on his lips as the man received his answer. The woman had a tongue on
her that could drawa hundred men in and kill them all at the same time, or at
least, that was
edict unwritten: the impression he received. Eyes shifted back to the one
with the owl. His brow raising just a smidge as her and her companion drew
his interest but his attention was broken by the drink being placed in front
of him. A sip was taken
edict unwritten: and Missy was given a long hard stare before turning back
to the conversation, holding his tongue for now.
lurkerinshade: Studious nobles were not nearly as immune to being suckered
into spending their parents' coin any less than the debauchery prone among
their peers. Adalric especially liked to spend his coin a-plenty.. course his
stipend for the month had been put towards his trip to Doxenia! Still plenty
left for a little intoxication and fun.
lurkerinshade: " The kind with good mead was implied. " Adalric gave a
half-smirk, none too commited to toothy grins at the gloryless moment. -d
cardinal tomb: She was used to being stared at, of course, she knew that
letting her owl stay with her all the time she would get those looks. At
least she wasn't the kind of witch that had a hump, long nose and a wort.
That would have been
cardinal tomb: so much worse. " I'll have a Rainfire mead, too. " She had
risen, leaving her owl to protect her furs; at some point during their
exchange, she had shed it to reveal the black leather corset and pants that
went with her boots. " And
cardinal tomb: a room for the night, if one is going. " Her attention was on
Cordelia by that time, because it was obvious she was in charge!
ardent idolatry: One by one, a troupe of men stepped through the doorway of
the Bullet and Blade. It was obvious that they weren't there to eat, drink or
be merry just by the demeanour. There was a large man with a
ardent idolatry: club, a thin man with two daggers on his belt, a smaller
man that didn't look armed and then a rich looking man, with large gold rings
on his chubby fingers. " Give me the deed, bitch. " He almost
ardent idolatry: screamed at Cordelia once he'd pushed his way in front of
his gang, "Or I'll kill you, and your stinking whores! " His voice was
strangled by this point, and his knuckles were white from squeezing his
ardent idolatry: hands into fists.
ardent idolatry: It was a wonder that this hadn't happened before, really.
She was always pissing people off. As soon as he threatened her girls though,
she tipped her head to Missy, who had returned with the mead, and said: " Get
yourself upstairs,
ardent idolatry: girl. " The mead was discarded and Cordelia turned on her
stool to face the man, and his backup. Where was her knight when she needed
him? She'd have a lot to explain to her parents if they saw her with bruises!
" You lost that shit
ardent idolatry: fair and square, Altien. Get the hell out before I put you
in your place. " That would make him angry; so would what she did next, she
turned around in her stool and turned her attention back onto Quinn, the
noble and the
ardent idolatry: woman. " This is a A class establishment, and welcome to it
you are, feel free to take your mead upstairs if you aren't ready for the
fight I'm about to get into. " She could probably take em!
edict unwritten: Quinn just shook his head as the fat man spoke, he kinda
laughed too because if he was a betting man, the fat bastard wasn't all that
great at fighting and no doubt spent a good deal of coin, or what was left of
it on the brutes
edict unwritten: that he was with. He had finished his mead and shook his
head, "free room, drink and food for a night and I'll lend a hand." He liked
this place, but he wanted something out of it, especially if he was going to
probably take a few
edict unwritten: good shot to the face. He slipped off hsi stool and weighed
the mug the mead had come in, it would have to do.
lurkerinshade: The outburst of what should have been a civilized individual
by the look of the loudmouth. The blue-eyed nobleman looked between the woman
and the man with the obvious back-up. " No blood, no glory. Lets have a
little fun at the expense of others. " Came his cheerful response to Cordy.
lurkerinshade: Within less than a second he'd shifted to take his shortspear
from its sheathe and the effort needed to strap his shield to an arm as well.
Maybe he wasn't the best warrior around.. , but he figured he could get
lucky. -d

plenty of combats
lurkerinshade: " Is that mage's hand off the table? " He looked at Cordy
with a look of seriousness. Ah, nobles.. could not let grievances go easily
could they? -d
Georg Pryme: and knew how to set minor bone breaks. He worried over that
hand, though he thought he might know someone that could help. "Baldur

the whiskey he knew she preferred. Carrying them over to her, he shook his
head. "Beats the tar out of me who Cordelia is. As for the help, don't
mention it."
lurkerinshade: The mention of a Pearce caught Adalric's attention. " A
Pearce of Avilon? " Well what other Pearce's were there!? -d
Georg Pryme: He looked over to Adalric as he spoke up, nodding to him.
"Yeah, that's what I know of it anyway. Think they met during the latest
push Rumeria tried."
edict unwritten: "Fire looks out," he ran his hand behind the back of his

reasons.

" Her shoulders were lifted in a shrug, but she let Georg do whatever it was
he was going to do. She didn't think he would let her get away with letting

ardent idolatry: was. To Quinn, he got an upnod. " Take Missy for free
tonight too. " She was being overly generous, she was probably going to
regret it later she was sure! To Aldric, she said - with a smirk, " Missy has
a twin sister if you're
ardent idolatry: interested in a free tumble, too. "
Georg Pryme: He looked the new fella over before he zipped upstairs, leaning
in close to Vixen as he began gently applying the salve to her hand. "Should
help numb the pain some." He found talking while he did things out of his
league kept him
Georg Pryme: from being too nervous. Once applied, he began wrapping her
hand with the bandages and made a sling for her as well, so she could rest it
properly and bump it hopefully less in the process.

he was handling her hand. " My bodyguard is never around when I need him, "
She snorted softly in a rather unladylike manner, before casting a side
glance to Aldaric. " Her

cleaning away the mass of plates, tankards and general mess that had been
left behind by the patrons.
Just quick glimpses, hardly
noticeable. He shot Missy a smirk and when his mead finally arrived he took a
drink and savored
edict unwritten: its taste as he attempted to get warm.

with the bird .. a mage maybe?
He had finished his mead and shook his
head, "free room, drink and food for a night and I'll lend a hand." He liked
this place, but he wanted something out of it, especially if he was going to

edict unwritten: good shot to the face.
" Came his cheerful response to Cordy.
lurkerinshade: Within less than a second he'd shifted to take his shortspear

ardent idolatry: the man that hired him. In the end, he simply nodded his
head a few times, gulped, turned and ran right out of the door, leaving the
noble there all by himself. " The King is going to hear about this Cordelia,
mark my words! "
ardent idolatry: He spat on the ground, and turned on his heel before making
like a tree and leafing, too.
ardent idolatry: [ End Combat! ]
ardent idolatry: Scoreboard: Cordelia 29/44 [22] - Emilia /20 [10] - Adalric
12/25 [14] - Quinn /18 [12] - Georg /47 [10]
ardent idolatry: There is a dagger [1d4] and a Club [1d5] for the taking,
plus a broken wand.
edict unwritten: Quinn dusted off his hands and moved to grab the daggers
that were on the ground. He'd claim those. All else he could do now was help
with what fire there was and try to get the place backin order.
Georg Pryme: He kept his eyes on the twit of a mage as he ran off, moving
back to the Thug's corpse as the mage spat and tearing off a section of the
corpse's cloak to move over and wipe up the spit, then used the now rag to
wipe the rest of the
ardent idolatry: Dagger claimed by Quinn!
cardinal tomb: Emilia was utterly ashamed of herself, but there was nothing
she could do. As the flames started to die down, she exhaled softly. " I'm
sorry. Fire.. " She shook her head a little bit and moved over to where her
belongings were,
Georg Pryme: blood off his blade before sliding it back home to its
scabbard. His attention back on Vixen now, moving over to her and leading
her over to sit down in that comfy chair she normally resided in. "You have
anything on hand I can
cardinal tomb: and her owl; who, because they were linked, had been out for
the count too! She bet her mead was cold now, too! She probably could have
used something much stronger.
Georg Pryme: get to help with that hand there?" He looked about to those
gathered after having done so, nodding to each. "Guess it's true. Better
late than never. Georg Pryme, anything I can do to help?"
lurkerinshade: Still glowering due to the mage running off Adalric made for
the broken wand to snatch it up. He was going to find that damn mage and take
a hand for a trophy! The fact he sported plenty of burns and scorch-marked
leathers.. not to mention the wooden shield strapped at his left arm..
smoldering still. -d
ardent idolatry: Usually, she wouldn't let anyone fuss over her but right
now, all she could think about was her poor hand. " There should be some
bandages and the like behind the bar. " It was her pistol hand, too. That was
when she remembered that
ardent idolatry: it had gone skittering along the ground, and rather than
sit in the chair - she made her way over to where she'd been stood. " Thanks
for helping me with those guys. " She said the thanks as a collective. She
was more worried about
ardent idolatry: the latter threat, than anything. " Think he had the wrong
person though, who the hell is Cordelia? " She was a good liar, so she looked
confused as she was making the question.
lurkerinshade: did not help*.
ardent idolatry: " What do you want for payment? " She pointed at Adalric,
with her good hand, while she looked for her precious gun!
Georg Pryme: Georg wasted no time in moving behind the bar to fetch the
supplies she said would be behind there. Bandages, salve, the whole works of
what she had on hand. He was not a medic, not even close, but he'd survived
plenty of combats
lurkerinshade: " Is that mage's hand off the table? " He looked at Cordy
with a look of seriousness. Ah, nobles.. could not let grievances go easily
could they? -d
Georg Pryme: and knew how to set minor bone breaks. He worried over that
hand, though he thought he might know someone that could help. "Baldur
mentioned knowing a Paladin skilled in healing from Avilon. Something Pearce
. . . I think." He
Georg Pryme: spoke as he gathered up the supplies, as well as the bottle of
the whiskey he knew she preferred.
Think they met during the latest
push Rumeria tried."
edict unwritten: "Fire looks out," he ran his hand behind the back of his
neck and gave the place another once over before slipping the dagger he
claimed into his belt. "I'm headed upstairs." Vixen looked well taken care of
between the two of them,
edict unwritten: he went to check on how everyone else was for obvious
reasons.
ardent idolatry: " I'll pay for a healer, they come around here quite a lot.
" Her shoulders were lifted in a shrug, but she let Georg do whatever it was
he was going to do. She didn't think he would let her get away with letting
it linger like it
ardent idolatry: was.
Once applied, he began wrapping her
hand with the bandages and made a sling for her as well, so she could rest it
properly and bump it hopefully less in the process.
cardinal tomb: Emila took this as her opportunity to leave too, after making
sure that everything was okay. She had a lot of thinking to do, and a lot of
travel to boot!
OnlineHost: cardinal tomb has left the room.
lurkerinshade: " ... That will do. " Well what else waas he going to do with
all that pent up aggression in what was apparently a fairly clean inne and
brothel? The mage could wait awhile that mentioned sister of 'Missy' was much
more close at hand. -d
OnlineHost: edict unwritten has left the room.
ardent idolatry: " Pain, what pain? " She said through gritted teeth while
he was handling her hand. " My bodyguard is never around when I need him, "
She snorted softly in a rather unladylike manner, before casting a side
glance to Aldaric. " Her
ardent idolatry: name is Sissy, nymph. You're gonna have a wild night; free
room and breakfast in the morning - don't think I'll be making a habit of it!
" She nodded to him before glancing up to Georg, " And which of my whores do
you want, would-be
ardent idolatry: Knight? " She grinned lightly before nodding to his
whispered words. " And what the hell are we going to do with the dead body in
my inn? "
ardent idolatry: [ log off! ]
