MAJOR ORGANIZATIONS & LEGENDS
Steel Guild
Symbol: Two crossed swords pointing upwards with "S" and "G" worked into the crossed blades.
Alignment: Any
In order to craft blades and weapons officially with Doxenian Steel, one must be a member of the Steel Guild. Alden Baron is the Master of this guild, and you must prove yourself to Baron himself in order to be accepted into this organization. If the smithy does not have the Steel Guild crest hanging, then you are not getting a true Doxenian blade.
Order of the Howling Wolf
Symbol: Howling gray wolf's head.
The official knighthood of Doxenia, each member has been chosen and knighted by the King himself.
These are the ranks of the Knights of Doxenia. A female knight is called "Dame" instead of "Knight" in these ranks.

Eyes of Chaos
Symbol: Chaos Star
Alignment: Chaotic
The Eyes of Chaos are a group of Doxenian individuals from every wealth level, race and walk of life, all brought together by one common element - chaos. These chaotic individuals relish in chaos and in causing chaos at various levels. Once a year, on a date that year known only to the Eye, they have what is called The Surprise! On that day, they all work together on one chaotic project. One year, they painted the Westby college's dormitory pink. The Suprise! can be done anywhere, but it is usually on a large scale. It can be simply harmless fun, or even quite dangerous. If anyone outside of the Eye happen to guess what will be done that year, they are treated like the Eye's best friend and honorary member for a month. It's only been guessed a few times in the decades of the Eye's existence.
Brotherhood of the Moon
The monastery that considers lycanthropes to the be the purest form of being. They often utilize polymorph magic to become the beasts they so admire.
Fountainhead Guild
In the dark corners of the city of Westby, an elusive group of psionic rogues ply their trade with uncanny skill. The Fountainhead Guild is a tight-knit band of high-level rogue/psions who use their varied skill sets to maintain anonymity while accepting commissions from wealthy and influential patrons. The guild has no single specialty; most of its missions involve stealing something of value, using blackmail or psionic powers to influence the actions of a specific individual, or discovering a prized piece of information. While they are willing to engage in activities such as theft and blackmail, the Fountainhead are not wholly evil. They shy away from assassination unless they are avenging a deliberate attack, and they seldom work directly against the good of the kingdom or city in which they reside. The guild is willing to risk the enmity of individual nobles or wealthy merchants, but not the ire of an entire kingdom or city. Because of the guild’s shadowy reputation and the fearsome combination of skills its members possess, few are willing to cross the Fountainhead, and few can afford their rates. Thus, they often work on their own initiative to gather information, undertake special missions of their own design, and even adventure outside their home territory to hone their skills in different environments and open combat.
The exclusive Fountainhead Guild is slow to grant membership to even the most trusted of candidates. Membership is by invitation only, and the existing guild members take the time to be sure of the abilities and loyalty of every potential member. Since those with a predilection for both stealth and psionics are rare, the Fountainhead Guild is careful to monitor any such individuals within the city before they decide to offer an invitation. Members of this group are known by a single nickname.
Leader: "Edge"
The Sea Wraith
The Sea Wraith is the most feared pirate on the shores of Doxenia, and hails from Doxenia. His flag sends shivers down the spine of those that spy it, and very few that have ever crossed his path have lived to tell the tale. Legends tell of the Sea Wraith's treasure split up and buried in numerous areas along the coast. Befitting the cold seas he sails, he is said to be as cold-blooded and murderous as they come.
