Quest: The Desecration of Baast, Part 1

Summary: The Temple to Baast in the Rayyan Peninsula has been taken over by a dark naga demon, controlling the remaining guardians and priestesses with it's power. Our job is to incapacitate the the priestess/es and guards, steal the phurba dagger from the priestess, and destroy the naga in the innermost sanctum of the temple.

Tesarik One: In the jungle village of Boubaast at the northern tip of The
Finger (The Rayyan Peninsula) there is a temple dedicated to Baast, the
goddess of glorious & victorious battle. The priestesses who tend
Tesarik One: this temple captured and enslaved a Naga Demon to guard their
holiest treasures, which are said to include more than 100,000 gold and
weapons once wielded by Baast herself in one of the ancient great
Tesarik One: wars. But, enslaving a naga demon does not always work out how
intended, and the demon broke free and has now taken over the temple, and
dominated the remaining priestesses to now serve him.
Tesarik One: Only the High Priestess and two of her personal guards were
able to get away before the naga took over the temple. The High Priestess,
Basmala, asks that none of her priestesses or guards are killed,
Tesarik One: only incapacitated in order to get into the temple. She stands
in the inne with both of her beautiful female guards at her sides, draped in
silks, and tells the gathered group, "You will need to take
Tesarik One: the phurbas from the priestess when they are incapacitated. It
is a spike-like dagger made of gold that she carries and it will be needed to
hammer into the demon to truly send it back to its own
Tesarik One: plane." She paused, glancing around at the group, then to
Maria, "It will seal it's spirit away from our temple. the priestess' name is
Jendaya Jagra. She will be accompanied by four temple guards that
Tesarik One: you will have to get past to get into the inner sanctum of the
temple."

Aphotic Frenzy: Ella made her way to the Inne along side the Company. Seeing
the beautiful female guards dressed in silks, oh that caught her eye. She
moved up to one of them as the Priestess spoke. "Hey." She spoke softly, "I'm
Ella, how's it
Tesarik Five: Well, Warren didn't know much about the area or the temple or
anything about the whole thing that is. Was that a problem? Nope. He was
happy to help the big people fix their little problems. Silly big people,
always getting in
Aphotic Frenzy: going?" She looked the woman down, then back up. No shame.
So Ella. That smirk cast upon her lips was priceless. -d-
SwordOfAtrophy: Jane listened to the spiel with a mute expression. Her pale
green eyes registered everything being said, but seemed to be focused on
staring into some nameless void. Kill, don't kill, she would do whatever
required, didn't matter to
RageofNocturne: :: Viper accompanied them and looked around then looked to
the High Priest and spoke up-- So any weaknesses you know of this Naga? --he
asked her and rubbed his hands together one acting as gold while the right
acted like cold iron
RageofNocturne: which produced a metal on metal grind sound-D-
Tesarik One: The guard glanced to Ella and smiled, then spoke in Kulnama to
the other guard, who snickered. But with a look from the High Priestess the
guards grew silent again but Ella did get a wink.
Georg Pryme: Georg thought carefully on his gear as he signed up for the
mission, coming fully decked in his best of equipment. His
eyepatch(Flinthook's Eye) in place, enabling him to keep a keener eye in
combat, he entered with his armor in
lurkerinshade: " Incapicitate? Not kill.. " That did not sound as easy as it
might otherwise have been were it not for his .. pyromaniac episodes of late.
Pondering that turn of fate.. the chocolate skinned Thanic male shifted to
rest his weight
Georg Pryme: place, the hilt of a greatsword jutting over his left shoulder
tonight. He was focused, slightly determined, to reign in the bigger parts
of his temper this evening. He came prepared to strike, however, knowing
he'd need to be at
SwordOfAtrophy: her in the slightest. The briefest twitch in her lips at
Ella's actions, interesting. Knock out some priests, take the things, stab
the snake thing. Nothing to it. She shifted in the armor, katana in her
hands, and waited.
psionic wanderer: Oh good, a mission where they were actually asked not to
kill! That'd be easy enough for him, he didn't enjoy doing it anyhow. He just
hoped the rest of the gang was on board with that, as he wasn't particularly
confident due to...
Gemmed Wings: - Kei had came along cause it was interesting and now the
tiny fairy with her metal wings would be fluttering close to the High
Priestess looking over her lovely clothing and how beautiful she was.- Oh so
pretty.. I
Tesarik One: "No. But, be aware that as soon as you are in its presence it
can read your thoughts with ease. Also," she nodded to the guard who pulled a
small bottle of honey out from the folds of silks and handed it off to
whoever was going to
Gemmed Wings: want an outfit like that! - Course she was dressed in spider
armor made to look like pants and a vest with a wee pink shirt under it. Her
red hair and bright blue and metal wings causing her to stand out even if she
was
Gemmed Wings: only about 9 inches tall-d
Georg Pryme: the top of his game(Rock Titan: CM: +2 str for the adventure).
Aphotic Frenzy: Ella smirked with the snickers and the wink. She then looked
to the Company and mouthed 'Dibs', and motioned to the one female guard. She
looked her over one more time and smirked before returning to stand by the
group. Chuckling as
Tesarik One: be in charge of it, "The sylphs inside the temple will aid you
if you give them honey."
Aphotic Frenzy: she moved back into the crowd. -d-
Gemmed Wings: - The mention of Sylphs made her giggle.-
Howling Ember: -Soon after Ella, came Crux. She likely teleported or
something again but he caught up and was ready to do his job as her guard. Of
course that did not stop that tall feline from stepping around to check out
those guards- Ok but I
Tesarik One: "Yes, please try not to kill my priestesses and guards. They
are under the control of the naga, but they do not deserve death."
psionic wanderer: well pretty much every previous outing he'd had. As usual,
he didn't have much to bring along, so he was ready to go, at least
physically. All that was required now was a bit of mental preparation, so he
closed his eyes and set abou

psionic wanderer: about* clearing his mind of anything but the important
information.
Tesarik Five: trouble. Sitting nearby he tilted his head as he looked around
a bit before he twiddled his fingers just a bit. "We just bonk them real
good?" Well thats all he'd say before he spotted another new fairy!
Blinkblink. And then he was
RageofNocturne: :: He looked over the others then to Ella and lifted a brow
and mouthed to her-- Not before me. -D-
lurkerinshade: off his left side. " With ease? " He muttered, frowning .. oh
this would be .. fun? Interesting? A travesty? " Stun the faithful.. banish
the naga. When do we leave? " -d
Georg Pryme: "Don't worry. I'll pull my punches." He nodded his assurance
to the high priestess. The eye on his eyepatch moving every which way, quite
unsettling to some, but he was glad for the extra field of vision it offered.
Tesarik Five: gone, darting right up and tackling Kai in mid air while he
hugged her tight and smiled wide. "Hello new fairy friend!" As excited as one
could get when he met a new fairy in this place, as always. Pulling back
after a few seconds
Tesarik One: "Now." Maria stepped forward and nodded to the Port Union mage,
who opened up a portal to the Rayyan Peninsula. They would see jungle on the
other side, as they were being taken to the north of the pensinula, sometimes
called The
Aphotic Frenzy: Leave it to Ella to get the Company up in arms calling dibs
on the hott guards. She chuckled and looked to the Priestess. Trying to see
what she missed. "Do you have any Honey we could use to offer the syplths?
Oh, and do you have
Tesarik Five: he hovered right there in front of her with a big smile on his
face.
Tesarik One: Finger, where the temple to Baast was located. The High
Priestess and her guards stepped back, bowing slightly to the group.
Aphotic Frenzy: anything that can help us with subdueing instead of slaying
your women?" -d-
Tesarik One: The guard had offered the jar of honey to them, not sure who
took it! "I do not, that is why I have come here to your group. I am assured
that you all can handle it."
RageofNocturne: :: He looked through his bag then looked to Ella-- Ive got
some rope, a couple nets and a spiked chain we can use for that purpose. --he
said and looked to the others-- Anyone else?-D-
Aphotic Frenzy: Ella took the jar of Honey if no one else had, and put it in
her pack. -d-
SwordOfAtrophy: "I'd wager punching them in the face would do the trick.."
Mighty Gar thog: ~Arn listened, thinking on the priestess' troubles. A demon
to kill, guards to capture. It seemed like it should be easy. With the mind
reading part, he thought about trying to stop that, when it happened, with an
old
Mighty Gar thog: trick. ~I have rope, as well.
psionic wanderer: "I've got the ability to restrain myself from inflicting
lethal wounds on people." Seemed that should be all anyone needed! He also
had an enchant on his sword for when he was in those duels he liked to fight
so much, but that was
psionic wanderer: really to prevent accidental lethal wounds!
Gemmed Wings: - A squeal as she tackled in midair and then he would get a
hug back and a equally happy smile- Oh hello! You must be Warren! The Captain
told me about you only he didn't say how handsome you are! I'm Kei

Gemmed Wings: so happy to meet you. -He would get another hug even as her
wings mae little clicking noises as they fluttered much to soft for normal
people to ever hear. and she whispered to Warren- Who is Baast anyway?-d
Aphotic Frenzy: She even went as far as to divide the Honey up into her
Empty Vials. "Here, everyone take one, incase somehow you get split up." She
offered a Vial of Honey to Each of the Company Members currently in their
ranks. "Crux..." She
Georg Pryme: He crossed through the portal once the way was cleared, patting
the hilt of his blade. Hilts were great for holding onto a sword, almost
equally great at knocking someone out. He showed some concern about the
Demon behind it all,
Georg Pryme: but would worry over that when the time came.
Aphotic Frenzy: nudged him. "Give each of the bugs a vial." Ella avoided the
fairies. -d-
Aphotic Frenzy: [ Honey Vials for everyone! If there way enough to fill up a
Vial for each player? ]
Howling Ember: Right, you want me to give fairies honey? You realize they
are going to bathe in it and eat it off each other before we get there right?
But of course Lady Ella..-Even as he mouthed off about fairies, he was in the
process of doing
Tesarik One: "As usual, be careful. Your mission is to incapacitate any
priestesses and guards you find, and to destroy the naga. Do not forget what
Basmala said about getting the phurba dagger from the priestess. If you
succeed, we have been
Howling Ember: as she asked, nudging Kei and Warren in the butts with the
vials- Hey you guys, want some honey? It is special honey not for eating
though.. it is victory honey. -d
Tesarik One: promised a nice payment. Off you go."
Tesarik One: (that's fine.)
Tesarik Five: That smile of his was almost as wide as could be, that and his
face turned just a tiny shade of purple when she said he was handsome! Well,
that's not something he was used to. He was still just barely a full grown
fairy after all.
Tesarik One: Would anyone like to make a Knowledge (Religion) check?
SwordOfAtrophy: Jane nodded, taking the offered vial and tucking it into the
pouch at her hip. She stepped through the portal, after Georg, and rolled her
head about her shoulders, preparing mentally for the task ahead. (CM: A
Fighter's Will +8 HP)
Mighty Gar thog: ~Arn would take a vial of honey from Ella, slipping it into
his waist pouch, for easy access later~
lurkerinshade: Lowering the hand he'd been using to distract himself with a
small flickering flames Ini-herit blinked back to the orders of the redhead.
" Does the Naga burn? " Alright so that did not seem quite like the most
intelligent of quest-
Aphotic Frenzy: "Well tell them not to eat it." She mentioned and scrunched
her nose. Shuddering at the sight of the bugs. "Bleehh." She had a bit of a
Phobia you could say. Thankfully it was not a flaw, or she'd be screwed. "See
you later Maria.
Tesarik One: HP Noted.
Aphotic Frenzy: Keep it sexy." She winked towards the redhead and chuckled,
moving with the group. -d-
lurkerinshade: ions, but he was aware enough that demons might not burn
well! Pondering that matter too deeply proved all too distracting for Ini. -d

RageofNocturne: :: He looked to Ella and reached over to take the vial of
honey-- Thanks. --he said and looked over the others-- I guess ill aim low to
take out some legs instead of killing them. These fists are lethal weapons
anyhow.-D-
Tesarik One: "It might, I do not know."
Tesarik Five: Though he didn't say anything about that just yet. "Oh! You're
the fairy Metal Man told me about? I like Metal Man! He's so funny." A bit of
a giggle was made at remembering that. Though when asked who that Baast
thingamabob was he
Tesarik One: (If you wish to be the leader for our quest tonight, roll a
1d20 and add CHA)
Tesarik Five: gave a shrug. "Don't know. Never heard of it." Then he was
poked in the but with something. Blink blink. And looking to the vial he
placed his hands on the vial, holding the rather large thing before he spoke
again. "We can't eat
Tesarik One: (Make sure you actually want to LEAD before you roll)
lurkerinshade: " Good.. the Naga might burn. " It was enough to set
Ini-herit happily off to the incapitating of priestesses and the like! [
abstaining. ]

Aphotic Frenzy: Ella followed the path towards the temple. "Alright, What
means do we have to subdue the priestesses? I know someone said they had
rope. I have fifty foot of it as well. I'd be chop it up to tie them up." She
looked back to the
Georg Pryme: He took the vial, tucking it into a pocket of his cloak as he
gave a nod in thanks as it was passed his way. He remained quiet for the
time being, doing his best to keep himself in line. He'd been more than a
bit surly all day,
Tesarik One: As you all step through the portal into the jungle of The
Finger, it is quite a bit warmer than it was back in Sarkotos. Pleasantly
warm at this time of year even, and you are surrounded by thick and busy
leaves, tall canopied trees
Aphotic Frenzy: group as she traveled towards the temple. "Anyone know
anything about this religion?" -d-
Georg Pryme: the past few days, but things were looking up of late. He
definitely looked ready to do what needed doing.
Howling Ember: Yes, I am a cruel horrid kitty man.. Now come on my little
fairy minions! -Since Ella did not like the Fairies, he would be their leader
for her and have his own little brigade of dive bombing tiny people-
Tesarik One: and blooming flowers of all sorts of colors and fragrances. It
is truly a beautiful place, and you are standing in a small footpath through
the jungle. You can see the small village of Boubaast through the vegetation,
and just
Tesarik One: beyond it, the pillared beauty of the ancient temple.

looked around at the jungle then over for the village-D-
Tesarik One: She was in human form tonight, though stepping into the jungle
did make the feline want to shift and run about - but it was a bit too hot
for the snow leopard lycan. Instead, the white haired woman stepped up behind
Gerry and then
Tesarik Five: Blinkblink. "Fixed your wings?" He could hear the little
ticking sound but he didn't think anything of it. "Oh....Maybe!" Maybe they
could! But he had plenty of honey chips in his pouch for his own personal
use. Then off through the
psionic wanderer: He did like the pleasant warmth! He s miled a little and
had a look around, taking in the sights a bit. "I've got manacles in my
pack." He didn't figure they'd need them with all the rope people had!
Aphotic Frenzy: "I was busy checking out the hott guards, bugger off Viper."
She hissed at the man with a smirk. Playful banter between brawlers unless he
took it the wrong way. Seeing Ini-herit she smirked, "Why, hello Ini-herit.
Been a while."
Tesarik One: turned to Ella when she asked of the religion, "Baast is the
goddess of glorious and victorious battle, and has been known to take the
shape of a lioness. Only females serve her as priestesses and guardians of
the temple. She is
Mighty Gar thog: ~Arn added nothing in at this point, he was just following
along, looking at the plant life, watching were he was stepping~
Tesarik One: fond of cats. Baast is a very seductive, felinesque goddess...
I approve." She smiled a bit.
Howling Ember: I can probably figure something out with my magic if those
things fail. -At least the wild life out here was nice and pleasant, a change
from the cold winter. It really made him miss his siblings being out here and
he sighed a

hardly anyone around. No children running around the little huts, no women
cooking over fires, no men. Only cats here and there. The village was pretty
much deserted,
Tesarik One: except for a few that remained hidden inside their huts. The
village was clean though, and looked to be a decent place to live when it
wasn't so deserted. They soon arrived at the steps of the temple, sweeping
staircase upwards
Tesarik Five: Well, on the outside anyway. But on the inside he felt much
the same. He giggled to what she'd said though and gave them a good look
before looking back up to Kei. "They are very pretty. Many lots of pretty."
Tesarik One: that led into an open courtyard surrounded by pillars, with
beautiful gardens around it, and silk curtains blowing in the perfumed
breeze. All deserted it seemed. They had been told they needed to reach the

Tesarik One: Oddly enough (or perhaps not), the fact that she'd been on the
threshold of death shook the hold the demon had on her - at least for the
moment. She rose upwards, still unable to walk on her broken legs, and let
out a howl of pain

pummel a human's bones and flesh after all, despite the little bit of

one she had tried to talk to and that was now being held onto and there! On
