To gain entrance to the NW HQ via the hidden door near The Snake’s Cup two things are required; membership to the Nefarious Works Guild (NW) which provides an enchanted NW badge to reveal and unlock the door and knowledge of it’s location (see the description for "The Snake's Cup" under the Drow Deities and Kingdoms post for more details).
The “enchanted badge” requirement is handled by group permissions on these boards. The "door" will only be shown to members of the Nefarious Works Guild who have the enchanted badge (NW Members forum group).
All that is left is the knowledge for the secret door: Do You See It?
The above link goes to board page that shows an image that is a link to an AIM friendly private AOL chatroom. If your username isn’t a part of the NW Members forum group you will get a permissions denied warning, aka, the door isn’t seen. The actual room name will be changed, most likely on a weekly basis, to keep the feeling of a "secret door" fresh and exciting. Non-NW members can be linked to the private room to lurk, however, unless their character has been invited by another character, whom is a member of NW, and that is actively RPing in the room at that time, RP by the non-NW member isn't allowed as it wouldn't make sense. Only the "hidden door" (the page mentioned above) is hidden from non-NW members as part of the “secret” theme, everything (boards, polls, posts, etc.) are of course visible to everyone in OH.
If you are interested in having your character be involved in NW please contact iyieldtonone@aol.com to discuss and be added to the forum group.
