Family; it was the hardest thing to do. It was hard to look at someone that knew you so well, that was linked to you by the very essence of life as it coursed through your veins, and for them to see that you had changed. That was why it had taken Ophelia so long to look for her sister, and why she had remained as far away from Bryony as she possibly could. In the end though, there was no denying that she needed her sister. It was not only the solace of her understanding that she required, but it was the familiarity and the knowledge that Viola, of all people would support her decisions.
Ophelia had decided it was time to live up to her promise to Kythin, and become his wife. The promise had been made years ago, and so much had happened since then. She wasn’t entirely sure that he still wanted to, but before she broached the subject – she wanted to make sure that Viola would be there. That was why she was in the woods that surrounded the capital city; it was where she always came when she was looking for her younger sibling. While Ophelia was tied with the ocean, Vi found her comfort with all of nature. It was something that Ophelia yearned to feel.
“Viola?” Phe almost sang her name, it was so beautiful and so rich of a name, that there was a song and a tune with each letter that fell forth from her lips. While she waited for her sister to make herself know, Ophelia sat down on the moss covered stump of an old tree. She was in her dark green, and brown leather hunting gear that day for the forest was not the place to be in pure white, nor was there a need to use it against her sister. “I brought cakes!” She was going to be in so much trouble, she knew it. That was why she almost ate all the cakes herself.
