Note: Following the concept of how the quest played out thus far they have come across no gold nor played taking anything other then the two vials that Wesh's snake took. As such I only put down the exp payment for the loot. However, if the default concept is that the IC situation of the quest doesn't matter in regard to the gold loot then please give 4,000 gps to each as well. I'm fine either way



Small Summary: The Heart had received a request from several tribes in the Thanes Desert to come and help with an unknown problem. An ancient temple like compound had appeared in the desert at some point after the events that destroyed Kir'Viir in the north. Anyone who got close to the newly discovered grounds never returned and word of strange sounds and shadows at night soon followed. The Heart has been sent to investigate and given the description of the area the portal will deposit them about 50 yards from what has been assumed to be the main gate of the compound. The time is roughly 11AM, very sunny, very bright and very hot. At this time the temps aren't considered extreme.

Though with some forethought, she had taken the time to wear clothes to

moderate her temperature, and had a hood pulled low to shield her eyes

Tesarik Five: Sadlin had been here and there lately, but today he had been

suckered into joining a group to venture out to solve yet another problem for

the Heart. Not that he minded really, it paid well,, he always found

something extra to fill

Tesarik Five: Scouts cart up with, and he got to have a bit of fun. So off

into the portal he went, a hand blocking out the sun rather quickly as he

squinted and looked around.

SwordOfAtrophy: Ellis, perhaps because he was young, or foolhardy, or just

dumb, or all three, heard a call for exploration, and he rushed right there.

Boots fitted with Endure Elements would protect from the heat, or so he

hoped. He'd take the

amrour with weapons and shield in their places her sheild bearing the

markings of Knight from the Order of the Silver Flame, she gave everyone

there a nod and held their

SwordOfAtrophy: portal, catching up with those who went on ahead. "Oh snap,

Sadlin's here, must be some serious business then." "Oh good, someone with

actual sense." And of course, he was still saddled with that jerk of a

sentient sword.

Tales0fBeauty: gaze briefly and she would join them in stepping through the

protal to join them on the journey ahead.

Tesarik Five: Seeing the Drow, he couldn't recall if he'd met her before or

not, he smiled that award winning smile of his. Stepping up to her as he saw

her struggling with the light he reached out a hand toward her. "Well hello

there. I don't

Tesarik Five: think we've been properly introduced. I'm Sadlin, the resident

mender of the lands." Cocky, but why not be. Hearing Ellis had him turning

his head toward the boy for just a second and offering him a wink to

acknowledge his comment

Mighty Gar thog: ~Wesh was at the inn, and picked up his gear. He double

checked he had the flask of endlesswater with him, then followed Raelgil ou

and through the portal, ready to visit thisstrange place~t

looked old and worn but it wasn't falling apart or decay. Sand rested against

the flat surfaces, clinging higher in places as if the sand

them was thick and made of wood. The walls were about 12 feet high, so not

too high to scale but they weren't seeing anything from a normal

Tesarik Five: He blinked at what she said. He remembered Longbottom, hard to

forget that. But her, well he must of been distracted to not notice her then.

came from his back as he went up, flying to the top of the wall to look over

the door. Maybe it was paranoia, but he was accustomed to watching where

others weren't. "Maybe she's just not that into you."

time to look on before turning back to the others. "Three walls that I can

hand back as if it had bitten her. "Well. That is .. well." She was at a loss

for words, really.

SwordOfAtrophy: Satisified that he saw nothing amiss, though he couldn't be

entirely sure since there were many things that crawled under the sand.

"Backside looks clear, so far. Patrols? Anything you can recognize?"

few, so would try to stay near them, the one woman he saw, he did not know,

so was quite wary of her. He was bad with languages, so did not even try to

Pursing her lips, she rolled her shoulders beneath her airy clothing. "It

thing would shut up.

Tesarik Five: "Just figures, to far away to make anything out on them." And

with that said he dropped back down with the others, using his wings to

soften his landing as it were. "Most likely their leader, or some dark force

they worship as a

Mighty Gar thog: ~Wesh remained silent, as the snake remained coiled around

onearm, as he looked at the others.~

was certainly his area of expertise .. she would not be surprised if he was

capable of naming the cult just from one glance at the door. Speaking of, she

turned her attention

Depending on their gear, race and other factors they may be a bit

uncomfortable considering it was well above 110 degrees at that moment. The

would take more than her strength to open it. (No traps present. Total

much, she was a dexterity based fighter not strength based!

Tesarik Five: His handy dandy ring of Exploration kept him at a nice cool

temprature at all times. So the heat not a problem. The sun, well it did

bother him just a touch, but nothing he couldn't handle. "Hold on just a

sheild and she would use it to bash open the door that stood before them.

staring blankly at the lot of them, not understanding common. Of course, they

were guards and as such... well they were about to attack the intruders.

going. and she would try to avoid whatever mess that snake turned into.

Tesarik Five: 1 Well hiding seemed to be what they were going to do. He

wouldn't argue with that. Seemed solid enough.

I Yield to None: As the patrol made its way around it came to the open door

and understandably moved forward to investigate. Stopping in the entrance way

the fallen pieces were viewed, scanned and then.... well things got worse for

the adventurers.

I Yield to None: The constructs returned behind the gate which suddenly shut

violently after one of them spoke a single word which tales would realize was

"Intruders!" There was another sound as an unseen mechanism was activated....

they weren't

I Yield to None: getting that door open again. Furthermore, from within the

walls a giant rumbling would be heard... but it was moving and moving

quickly... it seems contructs and bronze serpents wasn't the only thing

guarding the compound....

I Yield to None: something had been.... released.

Mighty Gar thog: <w>Well, we should have just slaughtered the guards.

SwordOfAtrophy: Whispered to the people who could hear him. "Well, at least

they think we're inside, doubt they'll come out again."

Tesarik Five: Still flying, he blinked as he heard the sound coming from

inside. "Yes. But it's going to make it harder for you guys to get in."

Mighty Gar thog: ~Waves for Sadlin to come lower, so he would not be too

restless impulse: Harder, but not impossible. From her place of concealment,

she'd examine the wall to determine whether her magic rope would be capable

of reaching the tops of the wall.

I Yield to None: Walls are still only about 10 to 15 feet high. Nothing has

changed in that regard.

Mighty Gar thog: We have no rope? You can fly. Put the two together and we

have a way in, no?

adventurer."

a thought, though he wasn't who he was by turning and running. Lowering

himself down he then wrapped one arm around Mercy, giving her a soft smile

levitating, and using rope were some of her specialties .. the insult she

would have to deal with later.

Tesarik Five: Poor Sadlin. Always gets the bad end of things. Trying to help

and what's he get? Anger. No matter, being who he was he was used to it by

be revealed behind her back and she would pick up kaldra and flew with him

over to the other side dropping him off and then landed back on the other

side looked to ellis

from within the rings as something big... or lots of something small kicked

up a lot of friggin sand. It looked like a sandstorm was starting

moving over a branch but it wasn't reptilian. Thought any additional

restless impulse: Something that large would be more than capable of viewing

five adventurers standing on top of a wall .. exposed .. sitting ducks for

any ranged attacks .. yeah she'd go back into stealth, and sneak a few paces

away from the other

restless impulse: party members to avoid getting hit with any crossfire.

Tesarik Five: as he gave them a bit of a grin. "Hope you're all insured."

Meaning their life, a little healer joke. Obviously he was going in, it's

what they were being paid for after all.

SwordOfAtrophy: "Pfft, not afraid of any dust cloud." "Pfft, that dust cloud

can murder you." "Sign me up then, we'll either escape it, or we'll kill it."

Tales0fBeauty: She was a paladin, they didnt back down from nothing, so she

of course would be going in "im sure whatever is in there if we all work

together we can and will be victorious." (D)

I Yield to None: (No patrols are visible, just the massive thing moving

about further inside. But even then it is just glimpses of something. Other

than that it is sand.)
