This spirit acts as an unseen servant, though unlike the force created by that spell, the summoned hero is not entirely mindless. While the summoned hero is active, it attempts to guide its wearer to victory via telepathic warning and advice, granting its user a +2 bonus on all saving throws the wearer must make. If desired, the wearer can summon the spirit to aid another instead of themselves.

This bright red strip of cloth, stitched with images of a cheering crowd throwing garlands toward a chariot, fits across the wearer's shoulders and then diagonally down his chest to reach his opposite hip. Once per day, it will remove the effects of any type of fear upon the wearer.

-Treasure Seeker's Goggles [Eyes]
These sturdy but plain goggles help the wearer locate secret doors and coins and identify treasure. While wearing these goggles, the wearer can detect secret doors at will. The goggles do not aid in determining how secret doors are opened, though. Once per day on command, the wearer gains the ability to locate object, but only to detect stashes of at least 100gp in a small area, such as a backpack, chest, pouch, or sack. Three times per day, the wearer may use identify to determine the worth and magical properties of an item.

The slim bracers of brachiation grant the wearer a climb speed as fast as their normal walking speed in forested areas. The user gains a +8 bonus on all Climb checks, and can always choose to take 10, even if rushed or threatened while climbing.

-Wand of Rezz [Magic Item]
This wand can be used to rezz a person or animal companion. You lose dice and a rezz as per the rules for dying in the game. You are brought back to 1 point within death, such as 9/10hp so healing will still be needed.

Raelgil:
-Cocoon Cloak [Cloak]
This ruffled silk cloak is incredibly durable despite its soft, delicate construction. Anytime the wearer falls asleep (whether the sleep is natural or brought on by a magical effect), the cloak immediately transforms into sticky strands that envelop the wearer’s body, hardening into a solid silk cocoon. The wearer can breathe normally. While enveloped in this way, the sleeping individual is protected from damaging attacks or spells. The cocoon opens and transforms back into a cloak once the wearer awakens.

This tribal rattle can be used to assist in defending against arrows and bolts from archers. It is a painted wooden handle decorated with feathers and dried seeds. While it is being played, it protects everyone from archers within a 30 foot area for 1d3 rounds of combat.

This eyewear consists of two thick, gold-rimmed glass lenses encased in a leather band. When worn over the eyes, a pair of discerning goggles allows you to determine creatures' alignments with a single look. Good creatures appear to faintly glow blue and evil creatures to faintly glow red. Neutral-aligned creatures appear normal, as do creatures under the effect of an undetectable alignment skill, spell or similar effect. These goggles function only during times when you normally would possess sight; for example, they do not work in darkness unless you possess darkvision.

Tesarik One: As for what's going on, since Georg wasn't here last night, so
I'll briefly explain. We went to the town of Night Falls to check out an
issue with wards in their graveyard. The whole town's business is the
funerary business, the
Tesarik One: graveyard called Tomb Steppe is massive and old. For many many
years people would bring dangerous bodies here to bury or put in tombs
because it was one of the safest graveyards around. We've heard a tale from a
gravedigger's
Tesarik One: assistant that he saw a ghost in the main tomb, skull tomb, and
that means the wards in that tomb are broken and if that ghost gets free we
are told he will wreak havoc across the countryside again. So we have gone
into the
Tesarik One: graveyard, found a way past the weeper guardians, and are now
inside (ROOM 1) on the map of the tomb that I sent you. I'll repost the
description in a moment. any questions?
Tesarik One: I take your silence as no.
Tesarik One: The doors open into a round hall with a domed roof far
overhead. The musty smell of disuse fills the air, and every little sound
echoes off the dull, stone walls. The floor of the chamber is made of
Tesarik One: closely set tiles, each engraved with words. In each corner of
the room, a basalt statue of a life-sized, snarling wolf stands upon a small
bronze base marked with runes of death and guardianship.
Tesarik One: Without warning, one of the statues howls, and black light
streams from its eyes. Where the light hits the floor, dust swirls and
coalesces into a canine skeleton, its red eyes glaring as it searches for
Tesarik One: prey.
Tesarik One: The tiles are the wards, those who passed that last Spot Check
realize that each stone has had someone carve into the ward runes to ruin
them. Not easily noted, whoever has done this has tried to do it very
sneakily. Also, the words
Tesarik One: on the statues reads in various languages, "Only the buried and
their bearers may enter here. The Guardians shall not violate the tomb, but
they shall do violence on any tomb robber." Furen has figured out through
divine delving
Tesarik One: that this means if you come into this room with a dead body,
the trapped statues will leave you be.
Tesarik One: --You all may have a few moments of open rp, while I set up the
SB for the combat with the creatures.
Tesarik Five: "The runes have been tampered with." The first words he'd
spoken thus far. He thought it was important enough to let them all know as
it were.
Raufak Agnarsson: "Ya don't say." Wasn't that pretty much the reason they
were here? Wards didn't tend to tamper with themselves, after all! "More
pressingly, there's that thing." Said with a point to the glowy eyed skeleton
with his free hand whilst
SwordOfAtrophy: Ellis had been deafened, so he couldn't have heard Furen,
though he probably would have just made a snarky comment about exactly where
they were going to get a dead body. All he could do, was trust in those
around him, and steel

machete off of his back once again, thinking about it a moment. (Knowledge on

Georg Pryme: He'd followed the group akin to his normal fashion, keeping an
eye on those around him, sizing them up so he'd be ready to fight with them

what he'd been learning lately could be put to use! That was the other reason
he'd chosen a staff

in her hand, then pointed at the flat of the blade, smiled to her and nodded~

fangs protruding from the jaws and red pinpricks of light glowing in the
sockets. It began to stalk around the room, jaws snapping together and then
it lunged towards

when it chomped into him, but his armor worked rather well! (19 def

Tesarik One: Viola was tightening the wraps around her hands, thankfully
she'd used Ellis' albedo to gain her hearing back and glanced over at Kerrog
a moment, then back around. "Didn't that guy say he found a whole pile of
bodies?"

Raufak Agnarsson: "Fucker." He took a hand off of his staff and belted it in
the chompers with a fist to try and get it to let go, then shoved it back and
grabbed the staff again to give it a good wallop to the head.

rather large dire flail from his back and let the set of two spiked metalic

her back and began to edge towards that door that was slightly ajar, it had a

Tesarik One: She stepped into the room, finding 20 bodies of various states
of decay, some skeletal and some only a few days old. She grabbed one of the
'fresher' ones by the feet and then lifted it up over her shoulder and hauled
it back into
Tesarik One: ROOM 1.
Tesarik One: As Viola came into the room bearing a dead body, the skeletal
worgs ceased attacking, clawing at the floor and then finally disappearing as
the black light in every statue's eyes went out. They were free to pass into
ROOM 3 where
Tesarik One: they would find the rest of the bodies. They all wore shrouds
with the crossed shovel rune of the Funerary House on the shroud.
Tesarik One: Does everyone move out of ROOM 1 into 3 with Viola?
Raufak Agnarsson: He grunted, then picked up his falchion once more and onto
his back it went. "Well that was a thing. Everybody alright? Anyone dying?"
He eyed the lot of them. They certainly didn't look to be dying. He headed
towards Room 3 as
Raufak Agnarsson: well. (yep, brb)
SwordOfAtrophy: He'd follow Viola anywhere.
Tales0fBeauty: She would hear his voise in her head and she gave him a
warrented smile as whe watched him attack the worg and then she would do as
he said and went over to room 3 where viola was Kaldra would follow.
SwordOfAtrophy: Mainly because she's currently in use as his ears.
Tesarik One: She turned once the creatures stopped attacking, and motioned
with her head so Ellis would understand and began to haul it back into the
next room. "It's dark, so you all need some way of seeing."
Mighty Gar thog: ~Kerrog nuttered, grabbed a pair of bodies by theankles,
dragged them back through the statue room, to the doorway into it and left
one body laying there~
Tesarik Five: He wanted to finish killing them, and possibly watching those
he was with suffer a little too. But as they stopped attacking he offered a
sigh and placed his weapon back where it belonged before following the young
woman into the
Tesarik Five: next room...Though he did keep his distance a bit, that smell
wasn't a very nice one after all.

Tesarik One: Well if that worked then whoever had brought those twenty
bodies could have just left one in ROOM 1, so obviously that was not the
answer to leave them in the room with the worg producing statues.
Mighty Gar thog: ~Thought Vilkas had that grweat lantern for light~
Tesarik One: The bodies had to be carried through the room for the trap not
to spring. You can't just toss a body in.
Mighty Gar thog: (left it in the doorway, in case someone else came to
enter)
Tesarik One: "Isn't that the same symbol that's on our shovels?" She put her
body down on the pile and pointed to the funerary symbol on the shrouds.
RageofNocturne: :: As the Worgs vanished he stepped into the next room Room
3 and hung his hammer on his hip and then lifted the Silvern Lanthern and
looked around-D-
Tesarik One: There are three doorways out of ROOM 3 - double doors to the
left, double doors to the right, and a single door straight ahead into ROOM
8.
Tesarik Five: Looking about just a bit in the next room he then tilted his
head slightly. Stepping to the left then he leaned against the set of doors
there, making sure they wouldn't just swing open on him first of course,
while he awated orders
Tesarik One: She pointed to the symbol and shrugged at Ellis, since she was
trying to stay close to him. That was fishy, to her. But then again they were
the only funerary business in the area, so all the dead bodies would probably
come from
Tesarik One: them.
Tesarik Five: It seemed like these people enjoyed giving them, at least from
what he'd seen earlier.
Tesarik One: So Iymril is leaning against the doors into ROOM 5?
Tesarik Five: (Yeah)
Tesarik One: The doors are stuck shut tightly, so they will need a Strength
Check to open.
SwordOfAtrophy: He shrugged as well, then pointed from the shovels, to the
bodies, then the town, then all around at the mausoleum. As he figured it,
they would be responsible for everything here, as far as they knew. It had
been the town business
SwordOfAtrophy: for possibly as long as there'd been a town.
Tales0fBeauty: She used her sword as a light to see her way in the darkness
as she looked around room 3 as it was embued with light/brilliance powers.,
she looked to vilkas with a glint of curiosity in her silvery eyes ~what

Tesarik One: She nodded, and then looked around, towards the drow against
the one set of doors, to the other set and then the single door. Then she
glanced to Raufak since he'd taken charge. "Ok Rauf, should we split up and
check out the doors
Tesarik One: or all go in one way?"
Mighty Gar thog: ~He pointed at a set of doors (to 2)~ Lets try those.
RageofNocturne: :: He looked to Raelgil and gave a shrug to her-- Im not
sure my love but we should keep our guard up im sure more tricks are lurking

locked? Oh! It wasn't locked. So he opened it on up, then had a look inside,
stepping in a bit.
Tesarik One: An altar stands on a dais at the far end of this room. On the
wall beyond it hangs an immense painting designed to look like stained glass.
The rest of the room is filled with crumbling wooden pews
Tesarik One: placed in rows, temple-style. The air is still, and dust covers
all the furnishings. There is a symbol of a deity in this chamber, if you
have Knowledge (Religion) you may roll to see if you recognize

want this?"
Raufak Agnarsson: "Well there's certainly not an angry ghost in here, unless
it's well-hidden, and we weren't brought here to loot the place, so don't go
stealin a buncha shit." Said to Kerrog, specifically. And then he'd start
heading back towards

Said with a pat and a squeeze to Viola's shoulder, and then it was on through

Tesarik One: The doors pop open suddenly. One falls from its hinges, landing
heavily on the floor with a loud clatter as rubble spills out from the
rock-filled chamber beyond. The ceiling has obviously collapsed,
Tesarik One: and a vast pile of both worked and raw stone fills the whole
space beyond. The largest chunks are easily 10 feet in diameter. A space no
more than 2 feet wide runs across the top of the rubble, but
Tesarik One: even a cat would be hard put to squeeze past the stone and
gravel in some spots. No passage is visible beyond the rock.
Raufak Agnarsson: "Bullshit she is."
Tesarik One: Hearing the man say that the lady was stronger than a half-orc,
that made her laugh. At least that cheered her up, it was rather ludicrous.
She had just found the sweet spot to hit it, is all.
Raufak Agnarsson: "I woulda got it open handily if I'd used my gods damned
adamantine weapon too, so I won't even be hearin that." He eyed into the room
a bit, then frowned a little. "Well, probably not headin through here, I'd
guess."
Tesarik One: Raelgil would find herself the target of a swarm though, since
she'd been the one to bust down the door releasing what was behind it. From
the tiny space a massive swarm of centipedes began to rush out, moving up her
feet first,
Raufak Agnarsson: Or, centipedes.
Tales0fBeauty: She would not be able to hear anything anyone was saying but
now with the room open she still held her sheild in hand and her sword at the
ready, never know what your gonna face next in places like this!

her entire body. They weren't magical, or anything, they were just plain old
poisonous centipedes that had amassed.

Tesarik One: Well while everyone else just stood there watching the woman
covered with centipedes, without helping her, she was far too good natured to
not assist. She had her wraps on after all, and she moved in and began to
sweep them off her,
Tales0fBeauty: She would find herself overcome with little cintipedes and
she would try her best to get them off of her and then she felt nausaited as
well and held her stomach as she felt she was going to lose whatever she had
eaten that day.
Tesarik One: brushing and trying to get as many as she could, then stomping
on those on the floor. "You might need to take off your armor and get them
all off, but I'd suggest we move before you do that. Anyone have fire? That
might scare them."
Raufak Agnarsson: He didn't know how to assist against centipedes crawling
under clothes apart from tearing the lady's clothes off to get to them! Or
just roll her around and squish them. Neither seemed like a good option to
him. He did stomp on a
SwordOfAtrophy: Ellis, being the helpful sort he was, would not attempt to
impede Viola, instead stomping the mess out of them as they were swept off to
the floor.
Raufak Agnarsson: few that wriggled too close and ushered Raelgil back so no
more would come swarming out at her. "Fire? I can make my weapon fever iron,
but that's not quite the same thing."
Tesarik One: "No, not quite the same, and I didn't bring a torch with me
tonight."
Tesarik One: She wrinkled her nose, terrible things.
Tesarik Five: Well he wasn't about to go helping a elf. Bah! No, he took a
few steps back and watched with a wide spread grin at his lips. Enjoying the
show as it were.
Tesarik One: Oh crap I forgot the poison. Raelgil, I need a second Endurance
against poison.

well, he held the sword in his hand, and the crimson claws lit the thing up
like christmas tree. He held it close to her, so the bugs would feel the
heat, but not too close to

fallen stones, and Raelgil was going to go ethereal with one of her skills I

course. So he went on over to the door as well to peek in, since the
centipedes seemed well in hand.

Tesarik One: Now the room Viola has peeked into.....
Tesarik One: The smell of freshly turned earth pervades this simple stone
room. Neither the walls nor the ceiling features ornamentation of any sort,
but the floor was obviously a thing of beauty at one time. Its
Tesarik One: stone blocks, once skillfully set in careful patterns, have
been dug up and scattered roughly about the chamber. Each of these displaced
stones has a complex pattern of rune carvings on one side.
Tesarik One: She stepped inside and went to examine one of the stone blocks.
These runes were also wards, and unlike the simple one out with the wolves
whoever had taken the trouble to dig up these runes truly did not want the
wards to be

looked to her face and lifted a hand to pat her back-- Alright my love?-D-
Tesarik One: restored. She wasn't even sure she could put them back into the
ground in the right way. She sighed and shook her head, "This is bad, really
bad."
Mighty Gar thog: Ah!Like a broken puzzle! ~he said when he saw it~ To fix
the runes, we just need to put the pieces back properly.
SwordOfAtrophy: He would tap one of the blocks, then try to nudge it with
his weight, to see how easy it would be to push, without trying to macho-ly
shove it across the room.
Tales0fBeauty: Now that everything was back to normal for her she could hear
even! she would be following the rest of the group to room 8. She looked to
vilkas and offered a warrented smile "of course i am"
Tesarik Five: "And do you know the proper order?" He pushed past the others,
walking into the room and looking around slowly, taking it all in before he
glanced to the turned up floor with a sigh. Well this wasn't going to be
easy.
Raufak Agnarsson: He was right behind Viola, then looked at all those stones
all lifted up and scattered everywhere, frowning a bit. "It does seem quite
bad. I wonder if putting them back would even work, and if someone who
doesn't know how to read
Tesarik One: They were very heavy, about 500 pounds each in weight.
Raufak Agnarsson: the runes would be able to just eyeball it based on what
fits where." Jesus, even Raufak would have some trouble pushing those! He
probably could, but it wouldn't be speedy. "Wonder how the hell someone
managed this so thoroughly

thinking it an odd thing to find "why would someone want to sleep in such a
place?"
SwordOfAtrophy: He'd discover some things, and wave peoples attention to
him. Legendmaker, sort of helpful at times, voiced what he saw. "A bunch of
crowbars here, along with the remains of meals from several people. Real
beings were in here.
SwordOfAtrophy: Recently in fact."
Tesarik One: She turned, when the bedroll was pointed out, then looked back
to all the stones that had been dug out. "Well it probably took a LOT of time
to dig these heavy stones out."

Tesarik One: She heard the sword and then frowned, "Or one person coming
many many times."
Mighty Gar thog: I think we need to do both, But, if we started working on
these, the ghost might seek us out.
Raufak Agnarsson: "Well we don't really have time if it's gonna get free by
the time the sun comes up. I think destroying the spirit is the best plan,
myself." Plus then Viola won't have enchanted all their weapons for no
reason.
Tales0fBeauty: She would give a firm nod to that then those elven ears of
hers would twitch this way and that as the ellis' swords words fell upon her
ears and she would look over where he was and noded again "we are getting
closer then..."
Tesarik One: She moved over to the door into ROOM 8A and tugged on the
handle.
Raufak Agnarsson: He'd check out 8B! That wasn't really splitting up, since
they were so close together.
RageofNocturne: :: He nodded-- Indeed...i am with Raelgil. We locate this

Tesarik One: The door was not locked in fact it had been used so much
recently that it opened freely. It was a small storage room. Not much is left
in there right now though, but Viola you can roll a search.

how strong whatever pulled them up, must have been~
Tesarik One: But everything has been ruined by now, rot and mildew, leaving
a mass of moldy fabric and wood and a strong musty scent of decay.

parchment can be seen. When it's pulled out it reads in common:

two heroes must breathe their last upon their broken remains. This act breaks
any hold the light may ever have over this place and frees
Tesarik One: the darkness forever. My master craves true freedom. Once he
has it, his secrets will be mine. . . ."

hs lantern and read it aloud for the others to hear what he read-D-

Tesarik One: She moves over and takes the parchment when he finishes reading
it, so that she can show Ellis since he is still deaf.
Mighty Gar thog: But, they belong to Mirk now. We need to find this servant
and slay him.
Tales0fBeauty: She heard the words vilkas spoke and she would ponder that
for a moment, what exactly did they deem a hero, was the question that went
through her mind "well then we should make sure we all make it out of this
alive." she would say

Tesarik One: "I don't think Rao would approve of such a thing... that really
doesn't make a lot of sense that Rao would have a shrine in a tomb that holds
some great evil darkness. Rao isn't evil."
Raufak Agnarsson: "Doesn't matter what they are, if they're the secrets of a
creature of darkness, now does it? Seems a bit unsettling." He eyed Kerrog
then and blinked. "Why the servant and not the master? And yeah, nobody go
dyin if you fancy
Tesarik One: Moving on! You all can go into 12 or down the corridor into 9.
Raufak Agnarsson: yourself a hero." He headed over to the door to 12 since
it was closer!
Tesarik Five: "The shrine was a facade." Not that he really knew that, but
it was his impression on the situation at least.
Tesarik One: ROOMS 11 - 12 - 13 - 14 were completely empty and unfinished.
Apparently whoever was buried in the tomb had plans for a grand tomb, but had
died before it was finished. Nothing of note in those areas. Empty.
Mighty Gar thog: Because, the master they will try to revive again., if the
servant is not slain.
Tesarik One: "It felt like a holy place, so I don't think it was a false
shrine.... but perhaps it was a facade for the person...or creature buried
here."
RageofNocturne: :: He nodded-- We need to ensure none of us die down
here.....--he said and stepped towards Door 9 and lifted a hand to open the
door-D-
Tesarik One: It is locked.
Raufak Agnarsson: "If the master's destroyed and not just imprisoned, then
he'll have a hard time of that, now won't he?" He eyed the big ol emptiness,
then yep. On to 9. When it showed up locked, he grinned to Viola and gestured
to it. "Your chance!
Raufak Agnarsson: It's come back."
Tales0fBeauty: She would follow vilkas to room 9 those silvery hues watching
as he tried to lift the handel "locked?" kaldra was right by her side "anyone
with good with a lock?"
SwordOfAtrophy: He read the document, and frowned. Surviving, he could do,
so that wasn't an issue, but it seemed like this ghost needed to go back to
whatever afterlife it came from.
Tesarik One: Those who are deaf, will find the deafness wearing off by now.
SwordOfAtrophy: "I can try..." He said, though probably too quietly since he
was used to not hearing and trying to keep from yelling.
RageofNocturne: :: He nodded-- Locked. --he said and stepped aside and
looked to the others and lifted a brow-D-
Tesarik One: She heard him, and grabbed his arm and gently pushed him
forward before one of the Zorcan's powered through the door or something
again. "Try it. Ellis can try to pick it. Can anyone sense for traps?"
Tesarik One: The way her perception was going, she wouldn't even try.
Mighty Gar thog: I'll try after Ellis, if need be.
SwordOfAtrophy: "That, I can't do. So, if something bad happens, just
remember I love all your faces." He knelt down and started to work on the
lock.
Tesarik One: "We need a rogue when we go prowling around these dungeons and
tombs," she snickered a little, but it was true!

a glare to the door. "Anyone hit?"

shield arm and grabbed the hilt of his sword and looked around once inside

Tales0fBeauty: She would hear the clicks and she would raise her sheild to
protect herself and vilkas' back as he protected ellis, and then the dagner
was gone, she watched those needles fly into the wall "yeah we need a
rouge..." as much as she
SwordOfAtrophy: He wasn't sure if it was his reaction speed or being jerked
around by Vilkas that did it, but he brushed himself off. "No holes in me."
Tesarik One: She'd rolled and gotten low to the floor, tugging down Ellis as
well, though he seemed to be even quicker and more agile than she was!
Mighty Gar thog: ~looked around~ Don't think so.
Tales0fBeauty: had a distaste for their proffession she had to admit their
skills came in handy.
Raufak Agnarsson: "Good. Moving on, then." Through the door it was!
Tesarik One: Anyone want to open the door?
Raufak Agnarsson: Vilkas did!
Tesarik One: No breeze or air current stirs the centuries of dust in this
chamber. The air here is cooler than it is elsewhere, and the heavy stone
walls radiate a strong chill. The floor is littered with the
Tesarik One: bones of long-dead rodents and the shells of insects. The
ceiling is painted black, and old stains cover the rock walls and floor. The
room has several doors, most of which stand slightly ajar.
Tesarik One: 9A - In one corner of this room a few old wooden chests stand
with coins and items spilling out of their rotted seams. You've found a
Treasure Room.
Tesarik One: 9B - Empty
Tesarik One: 9C - This room contains old and rotted priestly vestments with
Rao's symbol on them, they've suffered the ravages of time and is no longer
usable or valuable.
Raufak Agnarsson: Treasure! He eyed it, then the empty room, then moved over
to c and d, wanting to check things out before they lost all their attention
to the treasure. It would be a perfect time to sneak up on someone, after
all!
Tesarik One: D is locked. We'll save that for our Part 3.
Mighty Gar thog: ~nudged the drow and whispered~ treasure in there.

Jack pot in here....just what a dragon loves to find.....treasure to add to

side, his ears flickered atop his head now he could hear again so he was a
happy little fox!. She heard vilkas words and her eyes sparkled with amuest
"you and treasure..." (

Then as the door was opened he followed the others in. Looking around just a
bit before he was nudged. A snarl offered tot he man for touching him, then
he looked to the
