Sadlin:
- Poacher's Blade [Weapon]☼ ☼
A poacher's blade is a sickly yellow glowing longsword (1d6) with a serrated blade. These weapons were initially developed by poachers to aid in their cruel harvest of trophies, but many adventurers have found the qualities of the blade to be especially helpful when exploring areas infested with creatures that have natural attacks. Druids and other guardians of nature find poacher's blades to be sickening and overly cruel, but the swords themselves are not intrinsically evil. A poacher's blade has the baneful (animals) ability (extra 1d5 against animals).

This silver edged monocle gives you 2 extra crafting points for one type of crafting per week. Each week you may choose a different type of crafting if you wish. It can be worn around one's neck, or considered your eye slot.

-Stirge's Gauntlet [Hand]
This wicked, black metal armored glove has long slender spikes mounted at the end of each finger and acts as a spiked gauntlet (1d4). Once per combat, if used for a melee attack that hits, it also drains blood from the target to revitalize the wearer. The gauntlet heals damage for double the amount rolled for the damage it deals. I.E. if you roll your 1d4 and roll a 3, it will heal 6 damage.

Ellis:
-Madder Boots [Feet]
These soft leather boots are so well known in Madder, that they have taken the name of the kingdom. The wearer is granted the power to walk on water in swampy environments, provided the water is no deeper than 5 feet—this effectively lets him move through swampy terrain and mud at normal speed. He leaves no tracks or other sign of his passage as long as he's in swampy terrain, and never becomes uncomfortable or wet from rain, fog, or other forms of non-freezing precipitation. Finally, the boots grant him a +2 bonus on all Endurance saves made against poison and disease while in swampy terrain.

The cut and color of this solemn vestment varies from religion to religion, but its properties are the same. The wearer may command the cassock to display the holy symbol of her deity or hide this symbol. This garment can be used as a focus for divine magic. Additionally, the wearer gains a +5 bonus to all Charisma-based checks to influence creatures that match her alignment.

This bracelet is forged of silver and crafted to resemble numerous tentacles linked together. The bracelet's wearer can make Knowledge Checks on knowledges he does not have, gaining a +3 to those checks. He also gains a +2 to Insight Checks. This does not stack with skills that allow bonuses to untrained knowledge checks such as Voracious Reader.

This item resembles a pair of fins that can be attached to boots, rather similar in that fashion to crampons of climbing. When worn, they give a +5 to Swim Checks.

This finely crafted silver flute resembles a rolled-up spell scroll, with its holes lining the edge of the "parchment." When two short notes in any key are played on the flute, it emanates light, and automatically dispels any of the following magical effects within the light effect's radius: fogs, mists or clouds. The flute's second ability is revealed when you play three long notes in any key. The flute unrolls like a scroll; revealing an area that can hold one magical scroll. When rolled around the flute in such a way, you may invoke the magic of that scroll when you play the flute.

This bracelet is forged of silver and crafted to resemble numerous tentacles linked together. Vilkas:
-Poisoner's Gloves [Hands]
These black, rubbery gloves have sharpened digits. Fine channels lead to the tip of each finger, which are often stained with foul chemicals. The gloves are used primarily by assassins to deliver poisons while in combat. Each glove may be filled with a single dose of poison, a potion, holy water, or similar liquid as long as the liquid would not harm the gloves (for example, alchemist’s fire and acid cannot be used). The wearer can deliver the dose to a target as a melee attack or as part of an unarmed attack. The wearer can use both gloves in the same round if they have the dual wield skill. Each glove can be used once per day. Filling a glove during combat takes your full turn that round.

Tesarik One: If no mistakes, you all should know the situation. The Blue
Tempest is heading towards open sea, and the Serpent's Pride is following.
The ships are about 250ft apart at the moment, a bit less distance than the
length of a football
Tesarik One: field. I'll allow some open rp for a few moments. Begin!
SwordOfAtrophy: "You know, I respect the whole oath to upkeep law and
everything, but they're coming after us." He was watching the other ship,
though hanging out behind a convienently placed barrel to avoid getting shot.
Mighty Gar thog: (How far are we from the docks?)
Tesarik Five: Well now wasn't this just like the good ol days? Ship speeding
away from port while another ship followed behind, cannons at the ready and
ready to plunder and loot. Granted, he was normally on the ship doing the
plundering and
Tesarik One: your ship is about 300 feet or maybe more
fionnadh na tine: Well, Finn was at the aft of the ship, to seehow close the
other ship was. The answer was far too close! He was standing on the rail
because..why not? "Couldn't just leave the corpses where they were, fuckin
paladins." He glanced up
Tesarik Five: looting, minor details really. "Might be wise to get the
cannons ready, secure the rigging, and get ready for a boarding party." Just
a hint to the others who weren't sea fairing folk. As for the reason they
were being followed?
Mighty Gar thog: ~Kerrog was watching, smiling, waiting until they were
deeper in the water, further out to sea. He wandered over to the captain.~
Might I ask, where do we store our cannon balls and powder?
fionnadh na tine: at the sails a moment, took a moment to get a feel for how
the sea was moving, then ran along the rail back around the ship, heading on
over to the cannon crew and giving out a good stream of information on where
they needed to
Tesarik Five: Well he really didn't care. A good sea battle was always fun.
"Below deck...Of course." Said to Kerrog "By the cannons."
fionnadh na tine: start aiming those things. The other ship was a good
portion larger than theirs, so attacking the sails, mast and rigging was
ideal.
fionnadh na tine: Their ship wasn't large enough for a separate gun deck,
ha!
SwordOfAtrophy: "I would.. if I knew how to do any of that. Anyone got a
bow.. some arrows and something that burns pretty heartily. Maybe we can set
their sails on fire and end this before it begins."
Tesarik Five: What the hell kind of ship were they on? A dingy?!?!?!?!
fionnadh na tine: A small fast ship.
Tesarik One: They were on a 70 foot caravel.
Tesarik One: 70 feet long, 20 feet wide.
Tesarik Five: Yes, a dingy. ;p
Tesarik One: The pirates were on a dromond galley, 175 feet long.
Tesarik One: When they were sent to retrieve the girl, no one thought they'd
engage in a sea battle! So yes, they could all see the pirate ship following
them. They were moving a bit faster than the pirate ship though.
Tesarik One: Roll Spot!
Tesarik Five: Well, with the new realazation that they were on the smallest
ship on the sea he blinked! "Hmm. Perhaps some chain shot? Is there any
here?" Well he'd not count on it, but a bit of chain shot and skatter shot
could do them a load of

Raelgil when she offered up their lil ship for a battle!

Tesarik One: 20+ can make out the sailors on the pirate ship moving about,
far more than when they were on the ship, as the pirates below deck and from
the warehouses had all gotten back on board.
SwordOfAtrophy: "I don't want to sink the ship, just cut off the wind."
Tesarik One: The pirate ship could hold 200 crew after all! Their ship...
could hold 30.
Mighty Gar thog: ~Kerrof hands the paladin his borrowed longbow and quiver
of arrows~ fire away.
Tales0fBeauty: "I agree with ellis if we can slow them down we can escape
with ease." (D)
fionnadh na tine: "Well at least you're showing some sense. We need to take
down their masts." He looked back to the other ship once again and squinted
at it, then refined his calculations he gave to the cannon crew to do just
that.
Mighty Gar thog: ~he gave a huge smile, then chanted loudly~ Oh Mighty Mirk,
grant your priest this wish today. Elusiveness to not be seen, as death comes
to the pirates.
Tesarik One: Now a longbow only shoots about 100 feet without any distance
enchant. A composite longbow shoots about 110 feet.
fionnadh na tine: And then he finally hopped off of the rail.
Tesarik One: So, let's be logical tonight please!
Tesarik One: Your ships are 250 feet apart at the moment. You can't even hit
it with a distance enchant that doubles.
Tales0fBeauty: She looked to kerrog "thanks when they get close enough i can
use this" (D)
fionnadh na tine: "We need to figure out who's going to do what. I'm
guessing that Maka and I know guns better than anyone else here, so we should
probably be in charge of that."
Mighty Gar thog: (hehheh Kerrog knows very little about weapons)
a clockpunk red: Maka was quiet, leaning on the side of the ship though she
could not make out what was going on the pirate ship. She pulled away though
and moved towards the crew that were already getting the cannons ready. "I
can probably be of help with these."
Mighty Gar thog: ~he nodded~ Certainly. I have another idea in mind, though.
Tesarik Five: Sadlin gave a slightly lifted brow to Fin as he let his
shoulder lean against a post, looking over toward Maka just after, before he
moved his attention between the two. He still wasn't sure about them. They
seemed to know something
Tesarik One: The captain of their ship glanced around, he was not happy, and
stared at the bodies then over to the group, "You were just supposed to
rescue the girl. No one told me we'd be engaging a galley in a fire battle.
Now, if we do manage
fionnadh na tine: "I can figure out aimin, Maka is terrifying and can scream
when to fire." He snickered a little. And gave himself a little speed boost
with his magic, since he could probably use the extra boost when running
about the ship. (Faster

Tesarik One: to get away, if ANY of you try to dive over the side to
retrieve the dead fucking bodies of the pirates you kill, I am leaving you
behind. Savvy?"
Tesarik One: Spell noted.
Tesarik Five: about ships and the like, but he wasn't fully sure they really
knew what they claimed to know. Either way, he'd find out. He then chuckled
to the Captain before he shook his head and a motion of the hand was given
before he headed

perfectly happy just rescuing the girl." He in fact had done that while the
battle was still going on! "Regardless, we're in this situation whether any
of us want to be or not, now
SwordOfAtrophy: "To be honest, if they're after the bodies of their
comrades. I doubt they'll sink us. No, they'll board us."

ships. He knew guns. He probably designed better cannons than this ship had,
and he knew the math to aim them properly!
Tesarik One: Ok folks, let me explain what's going to happen. Hold rp.
Tesarik Five: closer to the man. "Might want to keep us out of their line of
fire. Quick passes across the front." (Can't think to spell the other word
for front of a ship. Lol.)

Tesarik One: Your ship has 2 light bombards (cannons) and 2 heavy bombards.
There's 1 light and 1 heavy on each side, and the light can shoot behind and
to the side.
Tesarik One: The light is 3d6 and can be shot every 2 rounds. You have crew
that is doing all the loading, cleaning, etc.
Tesarik One: The heavy is 4d10 and can be shot every 4 rounds.
RageofNocturne: Sapphire Shield/ Vilkas Silverblood/ 2d68/ HP- 47/ Healing
points 18/ Devout/ Paladin/ Combat/ Flaws- Bravado, Love of Nature, Dark
Premonitions.
Tesarik One: Shooting/ aiming the cannons is a use object roll with QCK. So
whoever is in charge of those will use your own QCK and any use object boosts
you have.
Tesarik One: Those who are not using the cannons, there isn't too much you
can do until / if they board. So, IF you have magic that will reach the
distance you can use magic, OR you can repair the ship so it doesn't sink.
Tesarik One: If you repair, you'd post that you are repairing and roll a
1d25.
Tesarik One: IF you have Artisan Crafting (carpentry) then you get a +10
boost to repair. If you have Artisan Crafting (seamstress) or something
comparable you can repair the sails with a +10.
Tesarik One: Any questions?
Tesarik One: Now, as I said before our ship is small. 70 feet long, 20 feet
wide. It has 24 hull sections, and if 6 of them get destroyed it will sink.
It has three sections of rigging.
Mighty Gar thog: (Nope. hehheh)
Tesarik One: The pirate ship is 175 feet long, and has 60 hull sections and
15 need destroyed before it will sink. It has two rigging sections.
Tesarik One: Is anyone opposed to Maka and Finn running cannons since they
are gunners?

Mighty Gar thog: (No. any idea, do we have, on the amount of damage needed
to destroy 1 rigging section or 1 hull?)

Tesarik One: Ok y'all can continue to rp while I set up our sb for the
battle.
SwordOfAtrophy: "..Do we fire on them first? An ultimatum? Do we wait until
we're attacked?" Were there rules for battles on the ocean? Sure, there had
to be, hell even dinner tables had rules. But hell if he knew them.
Tesarik Five: "They are pirates. You shoot as soon as their in range."
Tales0fBeauty: She didnt know much about ships so she would keep watch till
the ship got close enough to use that bow agaisnt it, and would try to help
fix and repair things as best she could if it was needed. "agreed, they have
already showed
fionnadh na tine: "I don't think they'll be interested in a chat. And even
if they don't intend to sink us, we can't really let them board us either,
we'll be in some serious shite if that happens."
Tales0fBeauty: malicious intent, we fire when we can hit em." (D)
Tesarik Five: "Anyone sailing under the flag of a pirate is automaticaly
fair game to fire on. No warning needed." Those were the rules of the ocean.
Pirates were bad. Bad got shot.
SwordOfAtrophy: "Don't suppose putting the bodies in a long boat and leaving
them behind to flee while they stop to grab them is an option, huh."
RageofNocturne: :: He looked to the ship then to Raelgil and nodded--
Indeed. We try to disable....or sink them and let the gods have them.
Whichever comes easier. --he said and snorted cold air from his nose-D-
fionnadh na tine: "For all we know, they don't even care about the bodies,
they just care that they were stolen. They are crazy fuckin pirates, after
all."
Tales0fBeauty: She looked to ellis "and let them get away with what they did
to that poor fathers daughter, kidnap, rape? even if she was under some silly
spell they defiled her, and they will not get away with it." (D)
Mighty Gar thog: They resurrect their dead, Finn. Raelgil, stay out of the
water, away from the edge. You'll sink fast in that armour.
Tesarik Five: Tilting his head just a touch he looked back behind them
again, a small grin playing on his lips before he let his fingers tap lightly
against the engraved gold of his pistols. "Sadly, what they did to the poor
girl is probably the

Mighty Gar thog: ~Oh, he felt bad, saving lives. But, by saving the paladin,
she would kill many more later~
Tesarik Five: nicest thing they've done in a long while."
fionnadh na tine: "Everyone fuckin resurrects their dead, that's hardly
relevant to how crazy they may or may not be." He looked to Raelgil. "And if
you're so dead-set on making them all pay, why don't we just send you over to
fight them all single-

are closer.

stay close to our own ship.........Or all sneak onto theirs and steal it." He
lifted a brow a bit to that.

aiming. "Try six to one, based on the size of that ship."
Tesarik One: Finn is in charge of the Heavy Bombard - 4d10 every 4 rounds.
Tesarik One: Maka is in charge of the Light Bombard - 3d6 - every 2 rounds.
Mighty Gar thog: ~He smiled at the male paladin~ I need you to be a huge
distraction. Maybe fly at their rigging, try to ice it, so the sails do not
flutter and catch the wind.
Tesarik One: Ok the way I did sb is it's only got the ships right now since
no one can target individuals that I know of. I've put the amount of hull
sections on the board and will keep up with the hp myself for now and just
post how many
SwordOfAtrophy: He sighed. It would be nice if something added up properly
for once. "If you say so." He didn't know what to do, so he'd just wait for
something to happen and react. Not much else was an option.
Tesarik One: hull sections are destroyed. The first DC is hitting a
particular hull section, the second DC is hitting the whole ship and it will
be random where the dmg goes.

Tesarik One: The Stormcaster was high on the ship, hands in the air, working
her magic as the winds began to blow and swirl around their ship, pushing
them to double their speed so that they'd quickly be in range of their heavy
bombards. (Call
Tesarik One: Winds. Ship is now within great bombard range. The crew knew
their job well, and the ship was taking a slight move allowing their cannons
to finally take aim alongside the side of the ship.
