Before the great surface lands of Arith took root and spread gloriously into legend, the world was vastly different: a time when the great cities and lands of the underdark carved their legacies into history and the God Titan ruled his empire on the surface. The time of the God Titan is one of the few eras in Arithian history where a single empire covered the entire known world, however, such a feat simply spelled centuries marked with suffering, agony, tyranny, and oppression. The God Titan and his twisted creations ruled over Arith as the gods they had made themselves out to be and gods they surely could have been. Those beneath them were nothing more than slaves and a food source, entertainment and tools: means to an end. No surface dweller could stand against them and it is very much possible that the nightmares of the past may have been our present if not for the God Titan's attempt to subjugate the underdark.
It was the underdark that rose up in defiance and imprisoned the God Titan and his followers, freeing the surface to forge it own destiny. Though it wasn't without sacrifice and losses and there are even some whispers that The Great Purge of Drowdem from their kingdom, Aphyonvloriss, was the result of the God Titan's initial attack beneath the surface. It took over a half of a century of fighting before Arith was truly free but even then it was only a temporary reprieve from the devastation because now, with the events of the solar flare that destroyed Kir'Viir, a chain reaction has begun which has awoken the monstrous pantheon of the God Titan and weakened their prisons. Will the denizens of Arith, surface and underdark alike, be able to survive? Will they be able to stop the rebirth of the God Titan? Or should the world of Arith prepare to descend into a second era of terror and fear?
