These iron-shod red leather boots appear rugged and worn. While wearing boots of striding, you can move more easily than usual over rough and difficult terrain. These boots allow you to move freely over difficult terrain without having to roll for checks, once per adventure. In addition, you can move up stairs and slopes at normal speed and run or charge downhill without making a Balance check. These boots require no activation.

Mask of Giants [Head]
(Shapeshifting Skill Required)
This wooden mask depicts a leering humanoid with an oversized nose and ears. If the wearer has the shapeshifting skill, the mask allows her to use shapeshifting to take the form of a humanoid with the giant subtype. The forms allowed mask of giants are ogre, troll, fire giant, frost giant, or stone giant. You gain all benefits (and detriments) of being a large size.

Dae:
Sheath of Stealth [Magic Item]
This mundane-looking but serviceable sheath fits any bladed slashing weapon, from a dagger to a greatsword. When a weapon is placed into the sheath of stealth, both it and the weapon become invisible until the weapon is drawn, at which point it and the sheath become visible again. The invisible sheathed weapon can still be detected by touch, but the bearer gains a +5 bonus on checks to conceal the weapon, and casual inspection does not reveal it at all. Other effects that detect or reveal invisible things work normally on the sheathed weapon.

Mercy:
A crystal locket with a trio of flies embedded inside [worth 100gp]
Amulet (Or Ring) of Channeled Life [Neck] or [Ring]
This amulet consists of a pale translucent gem in a dull gray metal setting etched with ancient runes. When worn by an individual with the skill "Tomb Taint" (or any creature harmed by positive healing energy), it alters the effects of positive energy on his body. When targeted by positive energy that heals living creatures, the wearer instead is healed for half of the hit points. For instance, a healer heals you of 10hp of damage, with this ring you transpose the positive energy into negative energy and heal 5hp of damage.

Gar:
Eye of the Beholder [Neck] or [Magic Item]
This necklace consists of a mithral chain set with a metal sphere. Three times a day, the necklace's wearer can command the sphere to open, revealing a living eye set within it. The eye darts back and forth, focusing its gaze on each living creature in the area. It remains open for 5 minutes. During this time, the wearer gains a +5 bonus to Insight Checks. In addition, while the eye is open, the wearer gains darkvision with a range of 120 feet.

River:
A black fan made of kobold skin with graphic images of kobold torment [worth 300gp]
Cat's Eye Crown [Head]
When the gem is attached to the crown, its wearer gains darkvision 60 feet, or increases her darkvision by 60 feet if she already possesses that sense. The gemstone is detachable, and can be rolled into rooms, dropped into holes, thrown through windows, or planted on a creature. Once per day, on command, the crown’s wearer gains the benefit of the clairaudience/clairvoyance spell, but uses the cat’s eye gemstone as that spell’s sensor and gains darkvision when viewing through that sensor. If the stone is held or carried by a creature, even within a sack or some other container, the creature wearing the crown uses the senses of the creature carrying the gemstone as the sensor instead, whether or not the creature carrying the gemstone is aware of the stone’s true purpose or even its existence. Destroying the gem (hp 5) severs the link, but a new cat’s eye gemstone worth at least 100 gp can be fashioned and attuned to the crown. The attunement process takes 24 hours.

Poacher's Blade [Weapon]☼ ☼
A poacher's blade is a sickly yellow glowing longsword (1d6) with a serrated blade. These weapons were initially developed by poachers to aid in their cruel harvest of trophies, but many adventurers have found the qualities of the blade to be especially helpful when exploring areas infested with creatures that have natural attacks. Druids and other guardians of nature find poacher's blades to be sickening and overly cruel, but the swords themselves are not intrinsically evil. A poacher's blade has the baneful (animals) ability (extra 1d5 against animals).

Tesarik One: So, Ophelia was kidnapped... only a few know who took her, but

one of those was Maria. One of the crypts had been marked as Pedur's, well

two had but one was in Kir'viir and after the horrific events of last evening

Maria wasn't

Tesarik One: even sure Kir'viir existed anymore let alone a crypt - so it

was to Kullyr she was sending the group, since Pedur was only marked with two

crypts. It was far easier today for the Port Union mage to manage a portal

than it had been

Tesarik One: to the now nonexistant city of Arhylle so the old mage quickly

opened it according to the map Maria had copied from Ophelia a while back,

and the portal opened into the Kullyrian countryside with a large tower ahead

of them. It was

Tesarik One: not so very far from the old Dunsany Castle, in fact if one

were high upon the tower no doubt they'd see that old castle in view. (Begin

RP)

scales change: It may well not have been too sure of just how Kythin had

come to join them in this particular venture.. after all he was an

occassional resident of that old Castle. However the Black Knight came to

throw his lot in with theirs..

restless impulse: When she arrived, she was clothed from head to toe. Her

hood had been pulled up and over her face, with a veil attached securely

across the bridge of her nose; keeping as much of herself covered as possible

without causing any

RanuIfr: ::Well prepareing himself with a couple spells as he was moving for

the portal, one that would speed his reflexes up and one that would enhance

his senses, well his hearing that was. A prayer offered up to the Zorcan

pantheon, yeah

open was a feat itself, but the thicker leather helped from stabbing people

or things, for now. She really had to get to a healer and soon. Maybe keep a

few sharped as they

anyone else that was aleady present, double checking the lay of her weapons

and pouches before performing a few mild stretches to limber up her muscles

in preparation for the

blessings as he moved for the portal and stepped through shifting the shield

scales change: he had quite a simple though very important, to him at least,

goal to reach. Others were gathering at least.. leaving Kythin to slap a hand

to the brooch at his chest to set off the unfolding plates and chain of his

armor. All else

maneuver, till end of adventure ]. Though it was hard to tell beneath all

that cloth, she was bristling with anger, and stalked her way through the

portal once it was open without a

Mighty Gar thog: ~The dragon was in human form this eve. He looked at those

gathered and asked~ Anyone need aid hitting ghosts and ethereal things? If

so, GarThog has potions to help dis eve...

portals, she pulled off the gloves and tucked them into her belt. A little

tip of her head to the side looking the tower up and down. "Gods...." Praying

for safety for all

DaemianBerazalle: He stepped quietly through the portal, keeping off to the

side as the others came through. He spent his time in silence, patrolling

the area around the tower, staying in sight of the group.

mind over body.) Then through the portal it was! He was apparently not in the

most social mood he'd

Mighty Gar thog: ~After saying that to all, he slipped through the portal,

thinking he should be in dragon form... but, would not fight inside that

towwer. Oh, how he wished he could!~

he got the hells first. A glance over to Dorian. She was moving towards him.

Hand behind her back. "Hello, Dorian." [d]

DaemianBerazalle: He gave a nod to River and a soft smile to her as she

approached. "Greetings, young one. Good to see you, also." He gave a nod

as she started moving off to exchange hellos with the rest, keeping a lookout

for fresh tracks of any

DaemianBerazalle: kind, though doubting he'd find any.

Mighty Gar thog: ~he smiled to River~ And you. We will need extra healing,

GarThog thinks...

psionic wanderer: He sent a little wave to River in response to her hello,

then went into his thoughts a moment, examining what he knew about the owner

of the crypt they were heading on into.

group needed a healer, she had been tried up and wasn't able to help. It had

psionic wanderer: He blinked and stared off at nothing for a moment, then

had a little snicker to himself.

Tesarik One: Well, they are in front of a tower with a set of double doors.

Tesarik One: There are no windows visible from where they stand.

Mighty Gar thog: ~He thought a moment. In dragon form, he could intercept

shots at others easily, but it was much harder in his so much smaller human

form, as he looked at River~

RanuIfr: ::He let his eyes raise up along the tower and tilted his head

some, faint frown was given as he reached into the cloak he wore and produced

Brennahluti. A quick roll of that waraxe was given before adjusting the

shield worn while

RanuIfr: moving towards the double doors.::

psionic wanderer: Well, no sense in dallying, now was there? He stepped over

to the door and reached out with his hand to give a push, or a pull, or

whatever was needed to open them, unless they were locked or closed by some

sort of trickery!

restless impulse: Pulling herself back into her surroundings, she examined

the door from the outside for a moment but made no move to open them: she'd

leave that to one of the tanks.

Tesarik One: Locked.

restless impulse: "mmm." She examined them further, attempting to detect any

traps. [ trap sense! ]

psionic wanderer: "Shit." He looked over to Mercy then and gestured to the

door. "I believe locked doors are you speciality." He stepped back to let her

do her thing!

you win or die: "Shall we knock and see if anyone is home?" The pale gaze

was staring towards the double doors and she was looking over to Kythin. A

sigh, she was following along, but as always. Lingering in the back to keep a

eye out on the group

Mighty Gar thog: ~His shield was animated now. He took his bow from his

shoulder, thinking it may be of better use than the morning start., to start,

this trip, then double checked his Rings~

Tesarik One: It was not trapped, merely locked.

RanuIfr: ::And watching Dorian give a tug and the door not open he would

step to the side iving Mercy room to work since it was pointed out.:: *D

restless impulse: That made things easier then. Slipping her tools out of

her pouch, she'd get to work on the thing, hoping to unlock the doors as

quickly and efficiently as possible.

DaemianBerazalle: Well, quite the advantage that he wasn't crowding the door

as Mercy worked her magic. He just stayed where he was, waiting.

really they didn't want to alert any one within of their presence by having

restless impulse: Steps aside, putting her tools away.

Mighty Gar thog: ~Bow in hand, he looked over the towers facede, to see if

anything might be moving~

psionic wanderer: And once she stepped aside, he resumed attempting to open

the doors! Though getting a bit impatient, he'd give them a firm nudge open

with telekinesis if they pushed. If they were pull doors well, damnit. He'd

just pull with his

psionic wanderer: hand.

Tesarik One: The bricks of the tower were not moving.

Tesarik One: The doors opened with only the slightest trace of a squeak as

they slid over a polished marble floor.

Mighty Gar thog: ~Paranoia could be a good thing, at times~

restless impulse: Quiet doors, always a convenience. She'd follow the others

inside when they made their moves to cross the threshhold.

you win or die: Moving over to Kythin, she was whispering to the Black

Knight A small bow of her head, River waited for the door to be opened. A

sigh, she was moving towards the opening door. First in or not, she was still

heading inside. The

you win or die: marbling of the floor caught her eye. It was shinny. [d]

psionic wanderer: Yep, he stepped right on in, having a look around.

Hopefully not too dark! Though it wasn't as if he couldn't fix it if things

were, it'd just be nice to not have to.

RanuIfr: ::With the doors opened he was moving on in and gave a quick glance

around while tilting his head. Slight frown, brow arched ashe gripped the

waraxe at midpoint on the haft.::

Tesarik One: This was not the same as Kaput's filthy, creepy crypts. This

was the home of someone who cared about what his environment looked like. The

elven necromancer, Pedur, was only a secondary necromancer after all. They

stepped into an

Tesarik One: entry hall that would rival the halls of the royals. Polished

marble floor in various shades of grey, shot through with veins of a dark

blue. Dark blue velvet drapes hung from the window at the back of the room,

there were no

Tesarik One: windows along the front facade. Tapestries (albeit a bit moth

eaten and ancient) hung upon the walls, large from high ceiling to floor no

doubt keeping the drafts of a Kullyrian night and winter from this room.

There were a few

Tesarik One: massive carved benches one on each side wall, and some long

carved tables, and beautifully crafted sconces were upon the walls with

magical moonglobes fitted within to give a soft light to the entry as soon as

the doors opened. A

Tesarik One: set of polished marble stairs went upwards, and downwards.

scales change: A noise more grumble than speech was all River earned from

the Black Knight.. the distraction taking his gaze away from the door. When

his focus returned he stepped right in after Dorian already drawing his

bloodglass sword. What

Mighty Gar thog: ~GarThog would take up position as the rear guard, being

the most worried about backstabbers~ <w> Pretty...~He would try to take the

tapestries later~

RanuIfr: ::Of course he would.::

you win or die: That was pretty stone and this place had her mouth gapping

open. It was magnificent. River was moving towards the drapes. Fingers

touchking the fabric. A glance around as the feel of the velvet was against

her cheek. Blinking, she

Tesarik One: It would take more than one man to remove even one massive

thick tapestry so unless Gar had help, he would not be able to do that alone.

scales change: ever he may have expected clearly hadn't been met with what

the opened doors revealed to them. The consideration to toss a fiery

elemental at the more flammable pieces of the decor was surpressed.. if only

due to the pointless-ness

restless impulse: She would look about the place as she wandered inside,

specifically her eyes focused on the staircase. "...up? I would expect a man

of his .. nevermind. Would keep a prisoner of whom he had a personal

interest, in luxury.

DaemianBerazalle: It had been some time since he'd walked upon a hallway so

vast and grand. He spent his time just enjoying the memories that came

rushing back, though his senses were sharp, awaiting anything that might come

to do them harm.

restless impulse: Perhaps." Or at least, he'd have more class than to have

her shackled in the cellar.

scales change: of the act. River's question earned to motioning hand towards

a descent.

Tesarik One: 17+ would hear what honestly could only sound like a baby's

cry... coming from down the stairs.

restless impulse: She blinked a little. "...."

psionic wanderer: Well he might've been able to hear the baby cry if there

hadn't been rattling chains and moans coming from nowhere. He scowled, and

then his eyes got all cloudy for a moment! (Shroudsight active for now!)

restless impulse: "There is a .. baby .. downstairs?" That was odd enough to

give her pause.

Mighty Gar thog: ~Followed by a muffled laughter around the dragon~

Tesarik One: Shroudsight would show that Gar was haunted by numerous ghosts

and spirits, all close and around him.

Mighty Gar thog: ~Even in human form~

psionic wanderer: "Eh?" He glanced over to Mercy then and scowled further,

then well..down the stairs it was! A baby being in a place like this was an

awful thing, indeed. "Gar, you've got ghosts swirling all around you." Well

at least he told him.

DaemianBerazalle: He looked over to Mercy, nodding as he heard her. That

settled it for Dae. Odds are there wasn't a baby downstairs, but standing

around wouldn't bring certainty. He was headed downstairs.

restless impulse: Well, maybe Pedur liked them young and had turned back

Ophelia's clock. Goodness knows stranger things had happened, and so

downstairs she would go with the others.

Mighty Gar thog: ~He nodded to Dorian, and followed as rear guard, as usual~

RanuIfr: ::Yup down the stairs he was moving also shaking his head some,

thumb slid along the haft of the axe before that axe was brought up to rest

over his shoulder.:: *D

you win or die: There was concerned look that held River features. The fuss

of her own skin was forgotten as she hurried down the stairs before everyone

else. [d]

Tesarik One: The stairs were lit by the softly glowing moonglobes as well,

that lit up right before the first person passed them. The lower level

immediately would be recognized as a laboratory but in far better shape than

any of Kaput's - this

Tesarik One: one was used, and used often, and well cared for. Everything

was in its place, labeled, and shining clean. But, it was not the

laboratory's various items that would grab their attention first......

no..... it was the.....

Tesarik One: pale beautiful woman standing in the room, with an dark wound

in her stomach, where a living baby had been placed and was held there by

what looked like red animated tendrils (her blood vessels). The baby was

wriggling a bit, and

Tesarik One: crying every now and again, but when the baby cried she

caressed it gently. So that was odd..... but not the oddest thing, for

floating around her were more babies, these though - they were not alive any

longer. These had been t

Tesarik One: transformed into floating baby creatures with huge mouths lined

with needlelike teeth. These spawn circled around the lady as she stood there

soothing the crying baby held in her gaping wound.

restless impulse: She felt her gorge rise a little, gagging delicately

behind her veil.

psionic wanderer: Oh hey, a lab! He looked around it a bit, this could be a

nice place to work once he'd claimed it for himself, bwaha! "Let's not go

loot happy, hm?" Well..the whatever it was then grabbed Dorian's attention!

He stared a moment at

scales change: From what he knew of Pedur.. , all of which was secondhand,

Kythin expected the source of those cries to be some variety of aborted

god-baby capable of slaughtering them. Whatever it might be Kythin kept his

sword out and headed
