Tesarik One: ---Ok! So, you have just exited from the corner room (#6) which

was the laboratory. It held the heart that began to beat when they got near

it, which caused cold damage as well as drained quite a bit of hit points

from most of you.

Tesarik One: So, you are now out into the hallway again, it turns to the

left and there are two doors down the hall same as there were on the other

side. Six large paintings, exquisitely crafted of skeleton armies, and rising

zombies, and

Tesarik One: battles with all manner of undead line this hallway as well.

(Just a note - Cassandra took 1 painting, Gar has taken 5 so far)

DaemianBerazalle: He began heading down the hallway, the paintings

distracting him a moment. He could have sworn he'd seen them earlier while

he was scouting. He just simply shook his head and chuckled, heading towards

the first of the two doors

DaemianBerazalle: they had yet to open. He paused a moment to give a listen

at the door to see if they'd disturbed anything else as of yet.

Mighty Gar thog: ~mutters about the dumb bird pecking the heart, making it

explode~

lurkerinshade: Why anyone would bother commiting theft involving these sorts

of painting even Maereth simply could not understand. Illusionary magic was

practically required when working with the undead if you were smart enough to

keep that they

Tesarik One: It actually had nothing to do with the bird, it was their heat

and life. Bird or no, it would have began to beat on it's own and sucked out

their life. But of course they did not know that.

psionic wanderer: He didn't much care for creepy paintings, he preferred

other sorts of creepy decor. He was, in fact, tempted to just burn the lot of

them that remained, but well..priorities. Right now he moved over to the door

that Dae was not

of the group, hand wrapped around her blade's hilt, and stopped as they began

listening at the

himself with exciting the molecules of one he hadn't got to yet to burn it

t-those is cursed and you get sucked in to become a fixture in it.

Tesarik One: Gar you are stealing all six of Kaput's undead paintings? You

realize they are each 2 foot by 3 foot.

Mighty Gar thog: (Yes. Into the backpack of holding)

Tesarik One: So five. The one that is on fire, the figures on the painting

are writhing and look as if they are screaming but there is no sound.

Tesarik One: Ok, noted.

psionic wanderer: He might have noticed the writhing and all, but well..he'd

got the painting started and then considered his work done.

Tesarik One: 15+ hear scuffling noises within the room where they are

listening near the door.

Tesarik One: "That is a very bad choice, you should put them back upon the

wall this instant," stated the ghost elf to Gar as she frowned, and watched

the one burning. A shake of her head, and she listened to see if she could

hear anything going

DaemianBerazalle: He looked around the hall, backing away from his door a

moment to reveal he heard movement within. He'd go in when the group showed

they were ready, holding off on opening the door til then.

Tesarik One: She moved back as well, she certainly was not going to go in

first unless everyone else proved to be too much of a coward to do so.

Mighty Gar thog: Why tink dat? Da paintingsare likely enchanted... mayhaps

cursed... /d

psionic wanderer: Well if Dae backed away from his door he just assumed it

was good to go in, scuffling or not, so he'd go in first! Certainly wouldn't

trust most other people to do it. "Fuck the paintings, focus on the damned

mission." Into the

psionic wanderer: room! Or at least the door opened.

Tesarik One: She narrowed her eyes at Gar, "Yes......that is why I told you

to put them back on the wall."

RanuIfr: So t-that means a bumbling dragon should t-take t-them? ::When

Dorian moved into the room he was moving second for it, shield was readied as

he growled.::

DaemianBerazalle: He just nodded in agreement with Dorian. His focus was

the job, not the loot, and he followed the man in, drawing his bow and

nocking an arrow. He was a bit rusty with ranged weaponry, but he'd be able

to put it to good use

DaemianBerazalle: regardless.

Mighty Gar thog: Curses should be remoed. ~he said, as if it was just

psionic wanderer: "The next person that talks about those damned paintings

is getting shoved through the nearest wall." He wasn't sure why he was

feeling irritable. Maybe it was his health being lowered, or maybe the fact

that he had a leg in his

Tesarik One: She waved her hand, done with talking about it, if the dragon

wanted to make his own decision he could. She moved along when Dorian went

into the door to peer in from

Tesarik One: the side.

lurkerinshade: Maereth came by an expression between annoyance and

amusement.. agreeing with the elf caused one.. and the words to the Dragon

the other surely. Personally he elected to remain away from the fool Dragon

and the pilfered paintings.

Tesarik One: Inside this large room are three cages against the back wall.

It is filthy in here, and horribly smelly like dead rotting flesh. Bones and

even hunks of flesh are in the corners rotting. Flies fill the area.

Tesarik One: All three cages, from where they stand, look empty save for the

detritus.

DaemianBerazalle: Well, this was one of those moments that having increased

senses was not fun. He hated his nose at the moment, doing his best to keep

the odor from entering. He gazed about, relying on his other

senses(darksight 60 ft, blindsense)

Mighty Gar thog: ~The dragon would follow after taking and packing up the

paintings, hoping he might find a way to save the figures in the paintings~

DaemianBerazalle: to fill in the details he normally relied on his nose to

do.

psionic wanderer: Well, that was unpleasantness! He scowled, the smell

making him even grumpier than he had been, but oh well. Time to have a poke

teeth, bones, bits of flesh..... Dorian's search turned up what has already

been described! Though, because he hadn't noticed anything

did not notice that some of the detritus had started to move, to lift up and

form a tiny creature made up of all the gross stuff. It

Tesarik One: The second one was creeping along the wall.

DaemianBerazalle: The thing reeked of being Undead. He could easily switch

weapons, but he was just as adept with a bow. And this one, was an

exception. He put Frostmourne(Composite Longbow, Bow of the Frostmoon, 2d8

plus half my quickness in

DaemianBerazalle: addition to normal quickness boost on damage), drawing

sight on the second of the two. He drew back, timing the shot perfectly,

letting the arrow fly towards the critter's heart.(Combat Marksman if needed,

Ranger Bonus: +2 ranged

psionic wanderer: Well, smashing seemed to work just fine, so he'd try that.

He grabbed the critter itself in his telekinetic grasp and attempted to bash

it against the wall until it fell apart!

Tesarik One: There was nothing but filth in this room, there was really no

sense in them taking time to search it, a cursory glance would tell them

nothing was of note in here besides those disgusting little critters.

DaemianBerazalle: He tested the draw of the string, nodding as he acclimated

himself to the pull more. He'd practiced little with the weapon, too much of

his training focused on close combat of late.

psionic wanderer: "Little bastards." He left the room then, and made his way

over to that other door that'd been in the hallway to have a look there!

RanuIfr: ::He turned moving for the door shaking his head and was walking

out with a grunt, axe was given a spin to sling a bit of tomb mote gunk off

the head letting it splatter to the wall.::

Tesarik One: She used her foot to move some items around, but the stench and

flies in this room were enough to push the ghost elf out of it. She moved

into the large hallway again, and moved downwards towards the last room.

Mighty Gar thog: ~Tilted his head, looking at the three cages...

mayhapssomeone would have a use for them... but he decided it would be too

much form him to carry~ /d

lurkerinshade: With the minute specimens no longer a viable source of

study.. Maereth continued on with the others starting back down the hallway.

Tesarik One: The final door opened into a large marble floored room with a

spiralling staircase going downwards. There was nothing in the room except

for a a beautiful glass orb about the size of a basketball attacked to a

large ornate

Mighty Gar thog: <w to Dorian> Should burn dat room clean, still.

Tesarik One: adamantine stand in one corner of the room. It was a dark gray

color.

RanuIfr: ::Countdown to Dragon Drool in,..five,..four,..three,..two,..one!::

Mighty Gar thog: ~The dragon in human formlooked at the sphere... then

backed away, feeling a sense of dread (activating true seeing)~

Tesarik One: They were not the type of cages you could carry anyway, they

were built into the walls, three in a row taking up the back of the room

DaemianBerazalle: He took the heart as a reminder and began moving about the

room in opposite direction of the orb. He was more concerned with keeping

alert than meddling with devices he was best not touching.

psionic wanderer: "Hey look, something you can spend a damned hour prying

off its stand while we're doing work." Said with a gesture towards the glass

orb. He just want straight for the stairs. He was quite irritated by Kaput's

sheet and refuse

psionic wanderer: attacking him, and he wanted very much to just draw the

necromancer out and destroy him. So yep, stairs.

lurkerinshade: Well finally there was someone with some fire in their veins,

so to speak! Maereth went for the stairs naturally.. there didn't seem to be

much of interest unless he wanted to waste a moment trying to destroy that

orb. Which he'd

lurkerinshade: choose not to for now. Perhaps on the way out. -d

DaemianBerazalle: He, too, took to the stairs, readying another arrow as he

moved. He kept close to the wall as he moved up, trying to get a better view

of the second floor before actually coming fully to it.

RanuIfr: Have fun Lizard,:;and he walked pasty moving for the stairs giving

a nod towards the ghost elf as he walked past.:: *&D

Tesarik One: The spiralling staircase moved downwards into what had to be

the basement of the building. Dorian, Maereth and Dae have moved down into

the darkness of the lower room.

Mighty Gar thog: ~The dragon would go last, staying by the wall, as far away

from that orb as possible~

Tesarik One: She eyed the glass orb, then headed down the stairs with the

others.

Tesarik One: This is what is waiting at the bottom of the stairs for you!

DaemianBerazalle: He went without light, not needing it with his senses. He

kept quiet as he moved, ready to respond to whatever they'd find.

Tesarik One: Appearing similar to a corpse that has been dug up and

surgically modified, this creature stands nearly 7 feet tall, but is

extraordi-

Tesarik One: narily thin. Its arms are extra long, hanging nearly to

mid-calf. Its head is wide and wedge-shaped, with a split mouth that

Tesarik One: opens wider than that of a normal humanoid. Its teeth glitter

like shards of black, steaming ice

psionic wanderer: Well that was certainly a something! He narrowed his eyes

at it. "Try to keep this one in one piece if possible, hm?" He had an idea!

But if someone went and chopped the thing into bits he wouldn't be able to

try it.

Tesarik One: Dorian, Maereth and Dae are given free attacks due to going

down first.

Tesarik One: Dorian-

psionic wanderer: Well in the spirit of trying to keep it in one piece, he

gathered up some energy and then thrust his hand at the creature to try and

send it into the opposite wall and break something important!

observational approach. After all.. he could have sworn he'd made mention of

He slung it around his frame as he charged in, reaching into his cloak and

drawing his blades. He charged forward, sending the tips of each blade to

eyes, and his face showed displeasure - though it always did. A

that looked like headless zombies, but with globes atop their bodies
