Combat Skills


Extension of Self - Roll combat dice twice. Once per combat.

Power Dualist - You have become skilled enough with two weapons that you deal more damage with two weapons. You may roll 1d extra with your combat dice. You may do this ONCE per combat.

Combat Marksman - No penalty for ranged attacks with others in melee

Battle Sense - Turns damage meant for you back to target once per combat.

Counter Attack - If an enemy attempts to attack you and you take damage, you may counter attack them immediately with your full dice and weapon damage, if you make your Strike against them. (No skills, etc.) This can be used once per combat.

Acrobatic Backstab - Upon being attacked and taking no damage, you dart past your opponent, ending up perfectly positioned for a counterattack at that moment, allowing you to attack that same attacker instantly without taking up a turn. Fearless - This does not mean you have no fear, it merely means you are able to handle any fear that wells up without reacting negatively, or running away from the area or creature.

(Flavor) Keen Memory - You have a memory so fine tuned that you can recall any event as if it was currently happening. You can remember passages from books you've read once, or signs you just briefly glanced at in passing. You can perfectly repeat to others what you hear. Whenever you make a successful Listen check to hear a noise, you can describe that sound any time up to 1 hour later with such clarity that any individuals hearing the description are treated as if they had heard the sound themselves. This trick is particularly useful if you overhear a conversation but don't understand the language spoken, since it allows you to repeat it verbatim to an ally who might be able to translate.

Primary Weapon: Fizzwinken's Galvanized Sparking Shortsword (1d6)
This shortsword's steel has been coated in a dark substance that will cause the weapon to never rust, and never will the holder feel the shock of electricity from his own sword. Within the hilt of the sword is embedded a round piece of white coral, when activated, the sword is sheathed in crackling energy. Once per combat, you may give your enemies an extra jolt of electricity of 1d3 damage.

Secondary Weapon: Fizzwinken's Spectral Lacerating Guillotine Double-Blade
This powerfully sharp enhanced blade does 2d8 DMG. Fitted into the hilt of the blade is a slender dagger, which can be used separately and does 1d4 DMG, but it is most useful when it is slid into place, causing the entire blade to shimmer with a soft otherworldly aura, enabling the blade to hit incorporeal creatures.

2."Heart of Obsidian Ring" -- This ring carved of jet into a heart set in platinum is only given to members of the Obsidian Heart Adventuring Company. It is enchanted as a safeguard for the members, by pressing the stone down, they are instantly teleported to the nearest safe house owned by the Obsidian Heart. It also informs Maria instantly if it is used, to tell her where her members have been taken.

1. 3 Doses of "Bandersnatch Quill Poison" - Each dose of quill poison can be placed on a weapon (you can place 1, 2 or 3 doses on in one turn - or before combat). Each dose affects one target. The target must make a DC15 Endurance Roll or suffer from the Sickened combat effect (-4 to ALL rolls) until they receive a Cure Poison.

The water must be fresh, and once filled it immediately has the powers of healing. It heals up to 20 hp per adventure. It only turns one flask of water into healing potion once per 24 hours.

Black Salt Rod [Magic Item]
Ink-black salt forms the full length of this 1-inch diameter, foot long rod. It feels rough to the touch and tasting it confirms it indeed is made of salt, although the magic prevents it from dissolving. The black salt rod detects unnatural creatures and protects its bearer from them. If a construct or undead creature comes within 60 feet of the rod's wielder, the rod emits an acrid, briny smell and stains its bearer's hand black (the stain disappears when the creature is not in range, or the rod is dropped). The rod detects disguised, ethereal, hidden, incorporeal and invisible constructs and undead as well as those in plain sight. If the bearer concentrates for a full round, the rod pinpoints the location of the nearest creature and indicates how many are in range. The rod can be used in this way three times a day, each use lasting up to 10 minutes. The rod protects it's bearer from any type of supernatural attacks or effects from an undead that will turn the bearer himself undead, and grants a +2 to any magical saves against an undead's spells or effects.
