Simply the most popular and well-loved inne and tavern in the lands! Run by a young, tough lass called Maria Alaria, the Obsidian Heart caters to all. It is a quality establishment, serving a fine meal and excellent drinks. Maria is known to have a bit of a temper, and has no problem banishing troublemakers from her establishment.
The Obsidian Heart prides itself on having the best food and the widest selection of drinks and alcohol available - sometimes even to the shock and amazement of those that wish a particular drink. The normal clientele includes local businessmen, sages, priests and mages of minor repute, and assorted newcomers from out of town. On a busy night, the tavern can hold roughly 50 to 70 people. Clientele is mixed, with no one given preference over another. The tavern openly serves members of any race, even supposedly "evil" ones, as long as everyone behaves themselves and respects the rights of the staff and other patrons.
Anyone wanting to create a scene is quickly advised by Maria to take their business elsewhere, by force if necessary.
The tavern is normally filled from early evening until closing time or just after midnight. The paneled walls, heavy beams, wooden floors, and everburning-candled chandeliers project a cozy atmosphere while two large flagstoned fireplaces provide warmth. Tables are of a uniform polished darkwood and are large enough to fit four to six people comfortably. The large bar is made of the same polished wood.
Guarding the inne is Maria's dog, a gift from Gabriel. His name is Moose.
Upon the large shelves over the hearth, and tacked to the walls of the tap room are the fruits of the labor of the adventurers of OH.
As of right now, you will find:
•A massive troll skull with an embedded iron crown.
•Various shields and weapons
The Inne Rooms
Maria is quite the wealthy woman, and has spared NO expense in building the most modern facility for her adventurers and guests. Yes, you have running water and YES it is HOT and Cold! Thank her contacts in the magical field for that. A very modern system of pipes pumps water into your bathtubs right in your rooms, as well as flushes your waste away from the building in your toilets - even the castle still has old-fashioned garderobes and chamber pots - but not you! A magical warding also keeps the inne warm in winter, and cool in summer.

Comfort (1pt)
A home with this enchantment allows those within to ignore the effects of intense natural heat or cold outside of it. Characters can exist comfortably here, in conditions between -50 and 140 degrees Fahrenheit without having to make Endurance saves. The character's equipment is likewise protected.
Extension (4 pts)
The owner of the home has the innate ability of feeling and manipulating certain aspects of their home. They can tell when one has entered the front door, or opened a window. They can feel where people are, in what rooms, etc, even when they are not present in the home. Also, the structure’s moving parts can be manipulated by the owner with a thought. They can close an open window by deeming it to do so, lock a door or slam one shut, etc.
Indestructible (1pt)
The house that never dies. No matter what the home goes through, even if it is burnt to a cinder or blown apart by the big bad wolf, it will reappear intact and repaired within a 24-hour period.
Healward II (2pts)
Your home is enchanted to heal wounds when someone in need of healing enters the home. There are varying levels of healward you can buy for your building, and it can be upgraded. (30hp per day)

To reach a safe house from the Inne, one must go through the arch in the taproom after hitting the correct runes along the frame to get to the specific one you're wanting. Think Stargate - OH Edition.
POPULAR MEALS
The Barbarian Feast: This huge meal is guaranteed to fill any appetite. The meal is served in a good-sized wooden trough which contains at least: an entire beef or venison roast, three baked potatoes, a large helping of greens, two chicken legs, a half tureen of gravy, and a loaf of bread.
The Doppleganger: Served in a crock, it appears to be a non-appetizing gray soup. The soup magically alters to suit the taste of each diner and will always have a perfect flavor.
The Druid's Delight: An entirely vegetarian meal. Consists of cooked greens with potato slices, large steamed mushroom slices, several types of beans, and various, cooked, sliced tubers, all covered in a unique almond sauce.
Late Night Special: Otherwise known as the leftover special, it consists of a large helping of whatever is left over from fixing the other meals. It literally can consist of a meal of almost anything together.
Pleasures of the Deep: Possible available dishes include: longfin, squid, octopus, marlin, deepwater trout, whale, orca (killer whale), deepwater clams, lobster, or any other deepwater seafood dish.
Adventurer's Fare: Description: A stone-ground bread pocket filled with shredded hard cheese, dried shredded beef, and dried onions and tomatoes. Served in a waxed cheesecloth, along with a flask of whiskey. Perfect for those long, hard treks to that ancient cavern you want to explore!
Chicken or Turkey Stew : A cheap meal, yet effective and filling stew made up of sauteed mushrooms, chopped cabbage, chopped chicken (or turkey) and diced onions in a tomato-based broth, with salt, pepper and garlic to taste. Served with a loaf of bread and steamed carrots in melted butter.
Spicy Stallion Sausages : A special blend of garlic, sage, rosemary, and thyme goes into our delicious stallion sausages, which are grilled with onion rings and peppers and served on toasted sourdough bread rolls. Don't let those nasty rumors that these sausages get their shape from sausage casings based on the shape of a very different sort of 'stallion sausage' deter you from enjoying this savory dinner! A dark ale works best with this hearty concoction.
Magnificent Mutton Stew Succulent mutton is slow-roasted over open flames before simmering in a thick stock with the freshest corn, diced potatoes, and juicy baby onions. We serve this fine meal with a side of fresh black bread, cold butter, a wedge of aged cheddar and a mug of cold ale.
Wise Choice : Crested owl eggs, discovered mere hours after being laid, are spiced with ten different peppers before being scrambled to a gold yellow. Hot pork sausage links, buttered twice-risen rolls, and cinnamon-spiced mulled wine complement the eggs. Also available for breakfast.
Deep Fried Delight : This is a heavy meal on the stomach, though Dwarves seem rather fond of it. We roll thick onion slices, fresh fish, potato wedges, and even pickles in an herb-laced corn meal mixture and fry it all in peanut or vegetable oil. Those who enjoy the meal say it's best enjoyed with an icy mug of ale.
Snake Skewers : First, let us recommend a lemon wine with this meal. A more delectable treat you will never imagine. We take skewers full of marinated snake meat, onions, and squash and roast them over a hickory fire. The meat and vegetables are served on a bed of rice. For dessert, I will bring you a selection of fine cheeses.
Spicy Grilled Corn : A popular meal among the elven blood of the world and those watching their figures! The corn is grilled in the husk and seasoned with a variety of spices. A side of boiled artichokes works very well with the spicy main course. I will start you out with wine-and-cheese muffins and garlic butter and a glass of our popular house wine. For dessert, enjoy a slice of wild rice and nut cake topped with maple whipped cream and a snifter of raspberry liqueur.
Old-Fashioned Beef Sirloin : A down-home, old-fashioned, yet light meal. Take four flour-coated chopped sirloin patties heated in oil and butter until brown and add bouillon before simmering in chopped onions, sauteed onions and dark tamarind sauces. Served with steamed and buttered peas, and whole wheat bread. After the meal, take your choice of pastries, such as small cakes or cookies.
The Wayfarer: The meal is a dry brown square relatively the size of a postcard, about an inch thick, and weighs next to nothing. It has the consistency of beef jerky while tasting like slightly-flavored cardboard. The meal will allow the diner to journey for two days without hunger and will stay fresh for several months. It also has the interesting ability to resist mundane and magical attempts at flavoring, always seeming to taste the same-bad.
Dragon Steak: A rare and expensive treat. The steak is regularly three inches thick, a foot long, and eight inches wide. The cost depends upon the type and age, but is always chromatic. It comes properly cooked to the orderer's tastes with a light gravy sauce. Cost is usually 300+ gp and the availability is at the DM's discretion.
