[ cc: Maereth - red | Sonne - black ]
The surface lands of Kir'viir failed to cause any sense of awe in Maereth. There could be no awe in a natural world that saw fit to bend knee to his surface kin. Since the fall of his outpost, an event he had orchestrated in order to see the transgressions of those fool warrior-borne end in their deaths, Maereth and the crimson-skinned imp called Sonne kept close to the forests that sang their songs and possessed plenty of sylvan occupants. A fate chosen by something deceptive and equally divine certainly must have decided tormenting the fae in order to claim this component or that for his sinister spells was beneath him.. and so what had the divinity sent him? A brutish, fiend-blooded ELF!
If there was irony to this matter Maereth chose not to note its existence. The here and now proved oh-so-more important, and exciting, after all he and Kina required a sea-worthy vessel in order to make their way out of Kir'Viir. After all all the source of deceptive divinity held some plan or other for them.. and the chance to further his own schemes admist proving his budding faith? Oh, simply glorious.
" ...Why by the Nine is that habour eye-piercingly bright!? " The voice of the Imp could not be mistaken for anything else by those who knew the noise for what it was.. a fact that wore on Maereth equal to how much more personable the fiend succeeded in making Kina, if only towards the fiend that caused it! Still.. the mention of the dock-adjacent Glandur, the source of eye-irritant for Sonne, brought Maereth back to the here-and-now and the matter of their securing passage on one of the docked vessels.
" Have a plan do you, Imp, what about you ... Kina.. " No attempt to mask his distaste.. even if it was due to having to view her as an equal in whatever intrigue their mutual Divine Benefactor had in mind. " Best head in.. wouldn't want to miss our ship.. "
