Update 2.44
Greetings, OH Members:
This week you'll find that we've decided to do FLAWS a little differently. From now on, every flaw taken by a character must be accompanied by a small explanation of why that flaw fits your character unless it is self explanatory (such as Blind, or Deaf). We have also decided that you cannot take the same flaw more than once.
We will not force those who've already chosen flaws to go back and do this, but it is still a good idea for you to go back through and look at your flaws to determine WHY you've taken them and if they make sense, or if you just took them cause they looked "easy" and didn't really think it through for your storyline. We will give you THIS WEEK ONLY to change your flaws if you wish. No penalties, no questions asked. Send your new flaw list with at least a sentence or two of why this flaw fits your character to (tesarikone), and (scaleschange), and you will now have a new flaw list.
Remember, flaws are optional and there are great penalties if you choose a flaw and then do not abide by it!
By the way, I tweaked several flaws so it would be a good thing for you to just double check your flaw against what I've written on the site. Most were tiny changes, but there were a few changes made.
Don't forget, if you have crafting skills it's time for you to ask for your crafting points. Don't forget to tell (ashtonlocke) and let him know how you want your points divided between skills if you have multiples...i.e. "Alchemy 8CP, Artisan 2CP". If you have skills or items that give you more points, you need to claim that on your email.
NOTE FROM THE TREASURY MOD
Lately a few people have been re-sending shopping/crafting/whatever requests again after a few days. I know sometimes it's hard to be patient, but I'm very busy this time of year with work, so it may take a day or two longer than normal for me to get things processed. What I need from you all is to not resend your requests. All that does is clutter up my email even more than it already is. If you have a question on an order, feel free to send an separate email after a few days, but please, please do not resend your request unless I ask you to. Thanks.

Only after three days should you be sending any questions back to Andy about orders you've placed. This is a busy & stressful time of year for some, many of us have extra IRL work, so please take this into account.
WEEKLY CHALLENGE
Please send the log to tesarikone in order to be credited with this challenge. This is a one per player challenge this week, so be sure to note where you wish the gold and reputation to go when you send it in. You have until the next Weekend Update is issued in one week!
You are to choose one flaw you've taken on any of your characters, and write up a short story of at least 500 words about how that flaw became part of your character's life, or a story where your flaw is a major part of the story.
Your challenge this week will earn you: 3,000gp & 1 Reputation
QUESTIONS and ANSWERS
Question: How do reflects work? Can you reflect any type of attack?
Answer: Reflects work using common sense, where you stop an incoming attack and in turn attack that person giving them the damage you were to take. For instance, if someone is shooting an arrow at you (a ranged attack) it is not logical that you reflect that with your sword (melee attack). You could evade, but unless that ranged attacker is using Point Blank Shot, you are too far away to stop it and then attack with your sword.
Now if you are using a ranged weapon, then it is far more logical that you knock the incoming arrow out of the way and react with your own arrow to the attacker. This also is the same for reflecting magical attacks. If you are using a melee weapon, and a mage sends a magical attack towards you, you're going to find it very difficult to somehow stop that incoming magical attack as well as reach the mage for a reflective attack.
While there are exceptions (such as a ranged person using point blank shot against melee), a good rule of thumb is melee vs melee, ranged vs ranged, magic vs magic. So, a melee attack can be reflected with a melee attack, ranged with a ranged, and magic with a magic attack.
