Update 2.40
Greetings, OH Members:
I am gathering DM's and Mission Leaders for our activity week, so far so good. Please, if you've ever thought about running a mission this is the perfect time! We will help you before, and during so don't worry about that. I'm trying to schedule folks for not only daytime and nighttime quests and missions, but even some late night (after midnight) missions and quests so we have something going on every day. Email me if you're interested, ESPECIALLY DMs!
Don't forget, if you have crafting skills it's time for you to ask for your crafting points. Don't forget to tell (ashtonlocke) and let him know how you want your points divided between skills if you have multiples...i.e. "Alchemy 8CP, Artisan 2CP". If you have skills or items that give you more points, you need to claim that on your email.
ACTIVITY UPDATE
When sending in the log for a match you proctored, please include not only a header stating the winner, loser and final scores, but also advise which of your characters you want your proctor XP (1XP) to be applied to. If you do not list this preference, the XP will be added to whatever character you used in the match.

WEEKLY CHALLENGE
Our weekly challenge this week is going to be a bit more work, but you'll get a better reward!
Your challenge this week will earn you: 5XP & 1000gp
Your challenge is to roleplay in public for at least an hour with two other player's characters.
IMPORTANT Note: Log your roleplay, make sure the top of the room shows up saying you are in a public room. Label the top of your log with who participated in the roleplay, along with how long you roleplayed. One reward per day, per character.
QUESTIONS and ANSWERS
Question: What are the levels for quests?
Answer: Here are the quest levels in OH:
DIFFICULTY -1- Most monsters start at 2d50, this is the easy range between Crystal and Topaz ranks. They have 5-10 trait points and 5-8 skills.
"Recruit Level"
DIFFICULTY -2- Medium monsters with an average dice of 2d60, from Amber to Sapphire ranks. They have 15 trait points and 8-11 skills.
"Novice Level"
DIFFICULTY -3- Emerald level monsters around 2d70.
"Standard Level" They have 20 trait points and 14 skills.
DIFFICULTY -4- Emerald level monsters that are 3d70 to low level Ruby monsters at 2d80-2d84. They have 25-30 trait points and 17-20 skills.
"Heroic Level"
DIFFICULTY -5- Ruby level monsters from 3d80 to low level Obsidian at 2d90. They have 30-35 trait points. They have 20-23 skills.
"Legendary Level"
DIFFICULTY -6- Obsidian monsters that start at 2d90, and go to 3d90 through 3d95. They have 35 trait points and 23 skills.
"Mythic Level"
DIFFICULTY -7- Obsidian monsters that are 4d90 and above. They have 35 trait points and 23 skills.
"Fucking Impossible Level"
RECRUITING CONTEST
It's that time again, a "Back to School" Recruiting Contest! It is never a bad thing to try to bring in new players. They bring in new ideas, new twists and storylines and new blood to the game! This ends at the end of October.
Indeed, there will be prizes, but as always, this is not for recruiting current player's new characters, this is for bringing in new PLAYERS to the game! And please bear in mind, recruiting players that do all the work of sending in an application only to never show their face again does nothing for our game, so for this contest I will not count a person as recruited for this contest until they attend their first QUEST run by an official DM! You will still get your 10XP per recruit though (not including your own new characters or current player's characters). If there is a tie (such as several people all recruit 1) I will roll dice to see who gets first, second and third place.
First Place - 20XP to Any Character, 10,000gp, 2 Reputation Points
Second Place - 15XP to Any Character, 5,000gp, 1 Reputation Point
Third Place - 10XP to Any Character, 3,000gp, .5 Reputation Point
Leaderboard:
1 Recruit - *Allegro Luna, *Tesarik One, Ascending Aria
*Unconfirmed, the recruits need to attend a quest.
You don't have to sit in a boring stuffy recruit hall to recruit! The best recruiting comes from just roleplaying in public, and having people wander in and ask questions. Open up some of our chats, and if you WANT you can open up a recruit chat!
Here's just a few places you could open in and around Navahla and the OH Inne:
Arts and Entertainment - Obsidian Heart Inne
Arts and Entertainment - OH Pincer Lake
Arts and Entertainment - OH Navahla Market
Arts and Entertainment - OH Amelia Park
Arts and Entertainment - OH Archgate Library
Arts and Entertainment - OH Knifedge Arena
We also have an incentive to new characters starting during this contest.
All new characters start at 35XP, and 3,000gp. This allows a new character to start at Topaz Adept (2d32), giving them 10 trait points, 5 Crystal skills, 3 Topaz skills and a Class & Profession. Starting now, if you transfer in you either get the TRANSFER or the INCENTIVE. Not both.

UPDATES, PATCHES, CLARIFICATIONS
1. KNOWLEDGE
If you have the Knowledge skill it is upped to +10.
2. HOME ENCHANTMENTS
You may now enchant your homes, and even your businesses (Entrepeneur Skill Only). Here are a few examples:
Aversion 10,000gp ☼ ☼ ☼
The home emits an aversive feeling to those who have not been in the home before. Any approaching the structure must succeed on a DC 15 Willpower save or be overcome by a powerful aversion to the home. They will not approach until that aversion is overcome, or unless the home’s owner permits. This is a mind-effecting enchantment, and it is great at keeping door-to-door salespersons away!
Comfort 3,000gp ☼
A home with this enchantment allows those within to ignore the effects of intense natural heat or cold outside of it. Characters can exist comfortably here, in conditions between -50 and 140 degrees Fahrenheit without having to make Endurance saves. The character's equipment is likewise protected.
Sustenance 5,000gp ☼
Your home is always welcoming to you and your guests, and so is the main table of the abode. This enchantment gives a never-ending feast with endless portions. The time of day converts the meal as needed, set to model a menu deemed fit by the home’s owner. Breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, desserts—maybe even a fourth meal! It’s your choice.
Extra Credit: Answer a question for 2XP. Remember, one per player. Tell me where you want the 2XP when you reply!
Which enchantment for homes allows you to heal when you walk in the door?
