Tesarik One: Mistakes, IM me.
Tesarik One: Perhaps one of the more odd requests was given to the OH group
for this mission. Deep in the forest of Peristyle Park, near Farthinghelm in
Zyon, there are ruins of an evil goddess' shrine. The goddess Aris, known for
her greed,
Tesarik One: cruelty and downright evil nature. Outside this shrine is a
fountain of sinister make, still in use by the deviants who have figured out
that by offering sacrifice into the fountain they may still seek the aid or
power of Aris.
Tesarik One: Their goal for this quest? Destroy the sinister fountain so
that it can no longer be used for vile means. A portal at the Port Union is
ready and open, taking them into the thick woods of Zyon's Peristyle Park. A
small stone has
Tesarik One: been enchanted to locate the presence of an evil aura, to
assist them in finding it. The stone is white and smooth, and will steadily
grow hot in the hand as it leads to the shrine. Like the game hot potato!

I Yield to None: -Sinister female? Check. Probably hot when she was in her
prime? Check. Evil bitch with lots of power? Check. Still coming to grips
with the fact he actually died and becoming power hungry? Check. All the
right ingredients for the
Ashton Locke: Zyon, hm? Well well, seemed he was going back home for a bit!
That was not a bad thing, particularly if they were cleaning up some evil
nonsense. No sense in letting that keep going on. So, Dorian was clearly
going along this time!
I Yield to None: drow the descend from his room, into the main hall of the
inne and then out the front door to wait for any others by the portal. As he
waited various items were adjusted and repositioned as the master of poisons
continued to enhance

Ashton Locke: Probably first through the portal for once, in fact. He'd wait
for the others on the Zyon side of it!
Tesarik One: Dorian was given the stone!
FIames of Winter: ~This was the first time she had left her home lands,..she
had decided though she knew she would be surrounded by Sveks she had been
told that they were allied with the OH, she was in essence a part of their
group so pressing her
Allegro Luna: Allegro had recently changed her outfit into something much
more durable, although it would appear thatd she was barely
dressed,occasionally there was glints of nearly translucent silver threads.

led to the OH HQ and then to this port union through yet another set of
portals. They were not exactly her favorite,..portals and teleporting but she
had learned to deal
Allegro Luna: lver claymore resting in between her wings for the time being.
She was fluttering directly through the portal and to their destination. She
appeared to be very agitated and ready for combat.somebody was going to die
tonight.-d
I Yield to None: -As the drow double checked certain items he remembered a
rather important spell he wished to try and as such two words were mumbled
beneath his breath as his fingers bent and extended in odd movements.

I Yield to None: -Upon seeing others already walking through the drow simply
followed in silence, looking at the various individuals and letting his gaze
linger on a few of the females. He may have died once, but he was still very
much alive.-
RanuIfr: ::He was of the same mind as Sigyn, moving through the portal he
had the shield strapped across his back over the wolfskin cloak. The head of
the wolf came to rest covering the left pectorial, beneath the shields hull

FIames of Winter: with it. Hyrralmr was slung over her shoulder now a quiver
of arrows strapped to her back. Red hair was pulled into a tight braid to
fall down her back, she had read up on the area and knew that it was not as
chilly as Alzorc so she
Ashton Locke: If there were cultists, there may well be magic flying around,
so as he waited for the others, it occurred to him that he ought to do
something about that. (Spell: Strengthen the Shield, +2 willpower, and +2 hp
due to that as well)

RanuIfr: rest in a harness of special make allowing the axe to be drawn in a
blink of an eye. Dark hair tied back partially, the upper half in a thick
tail, the lower left free to fall along his back. Head tilted some as he
looked left then
RanuIfr: right before glancing back towards Sigyn as he moved through the
second portal at port union.::
Tesarik One: Well, Dorian held the stone. As they stepped through, Dorian
would find that the stone became slightly warm when he held it in a northwest
direction. There was no path, it was thick forest.
RanuIfr: ::Arriving he would close his eyes a moment, silent communion
knowing there would be a battle soon. A mutter in Zorcan, just briefly as he
felt his resolve hardening now.:: (Indomitable Will / +2 WP Stat boost /

Allegro Luna: She wore a jade ring from when the poor dragon was
unceremoniously smashed by a "friend". she resisted the urge to do
something for the time being. Flying around the group almost silently.around

Ashton Locke: Oh and he got the stone! He had been distracted when he was
undoubtedly told what it did, something about getting warmer? Well he shifted
a bit until it warmed up pointing in one particular direction, then started
walking along. He
Ashton Locke: didn't particularly NEED a path, though not having one might
make things problematic. He hung back before moving too far in favor of
letting ...anyone else lead the way.

I Yield to None: -If she was still pissed at him then she would probably be
even more annoyed to see the drow sporting a nice new pair of dragon boots.-
Allegro Luna: Dundundun... she did not react to what she saw... everything
came in time.
Tesarik One: As they walked along, they'd find mosquitos and gnats and other
southern foresty type critters bugging them - they were fairly near the bog
region of Zyon and Madder after all - but besides the bugs and spiders and
Tesarik One: other forest wildlife nothing jumped out at them. The stone
easily showed the way, getting the hottest as it led them this way and that
through the woods into a much deeper, darker area. The canopy was thick and
despite the sun in
Tesarik One: the sky it was quite dark. Light sources while not absolutely
necessary, would not be a bad idea.
Allegro Luna: She was also slightly irritated by some of the mosquitoes and
was constantly swatting at them , almost nonstop. She concentrated heavily
and her halo that was above her head became considerably brighter around

Ashton Locke: He...didn't seem to notice the mosquitos, or the bugs, or
anything unpleasant, so much. NOw that he'd figured out what the stone was
doing, he was focused more on that so he could give directions to whoever had
overtaken him.
RanuIfr: :::He was frowning at the insects, though he just continued
trudging along. A shake of his head, teeth slightly ground before spitting on
the ground. Hands curled into fists a moment before relaxing, another glance
back towards
FIames of Winter: ~This was territory she enjoyed, frozen or leafy the trees
were perfect. It pleased her enough to give a slight sigh of pleasure. She
didnt mind the darkness however she had a sharp eye on her, and she kept her
eyes moving between
RanuIfr: Sigyn, yeah the only one here really worth while trusting.::
FIames of Winter: the ground and infront of them along with the trees, she
didnt know exactly what they were walking into but if there was any others
that had come this way she wanted to know, and kept her eyes on the ground
for any sort of prints.~

cowl and sent out a small statement of insectid trying to convince the bugs

Allegro Luna: She was using a lot more effort to fly in an attempt to stay
warm from Expending a little bit of energy.3 For now she was protecting
Droian.-d
Tesarik One: Somehow, the bugs didn't bother him quite as much.... some were
stubborn and wanted to taste him and see for themselves but certainly quite a
few left him alone.
Ashton Locke: "Obviously that's what the tastiest food would say." Oh look,
the drow wasn't the only one that spoke insectid! "He's lying through his
teeth."
Tesarik One: Uh oh, roll Bluff.

Tesarik One: Well, they buzzed around Dorian, and around the drow seemingly
confused. Several of them decided that Rhyldrin was lying though and decided
to bug him.
Ashton Locke: Now then. He went right back to focusing on where they were
going, pulling some water from the air to condense around him in an extra
layer of protection, just in case it was needed. (Spell: Water Shield, 9
point absorb)
Tesarik One: Before a war of the Insectid Whisperers could happen, that
stone got hot enough to damn well burn Dorian's hand. There were vines
covering the area before them, but when they were pushed aside, the remnants
of a shrine could be seen
I Yield to None: -The drow lifted an eyebrow before turning and looking at
the bugs before pointing to the big mouthed one. "He is still pure, a virgin,
his blood is much more delicate." This was in insectid of course.-

Tesarik One: but the shrine wasn't the most 'spectacular' sight, in fact,
the fountain dominated the shrine's courtyard. As soon as the vines were
pushed aside, the aura of evil assaulted them. Anyone with a Good alignment
would feel suddenly
Tesarik One: ill.
Ashton Locke: Snort. If the insects could tell the difference they'd find he
was no virgin! He wasn't in the correct state of mind to respond to that
though since his hand was getting all burny, maybe even causing some steam to
rise from that
RanuIfr: ::At all the buzzing he just shook his head and gave a quiet grunt,
brow creased in a deep frown. When the vines were pressed aside, he reached
back unharnessing the waraxe adn shield, the shield on his left arm, right
hand closed
RanuIfr: securely around the axes haft.::
Ashton Locke: water shield if it was hot enough. He winced and tucked it
into a pocket, where it would hopefully not burn through his jacket.
Tesarik One: This unwholesome fountain looks like something out of a
nightmare, or at least out of a macabre vision. The whole thing stands about
as tall as fire giant. It resembles a twisted tree made from
Tesarik One: bleached bones. A hideous fiend head, horned and skeletal, tops
the bizarre sculpture. Three basins that look like great claws protrude from
the main trunk. Brackish water that smells like it came from the
Tesarik One: foulest swamp on the planet dribbles from the head's eyes and
mouth. The fetid liquid plops into the basin below, and then overflows that
basin and falls into the next until it finally reaches the
Tesarik One: bottom basin, where it drains away with a throaty gurgle. The
whole thing sounds and smells like a slow-running sewer. A nasty-looking
vapor, like steam from a swamp on a cold day, rises from the
Tesarik One: fountain.

Allegro Luna: Allegro was holding her stomach almost as if she was suffering
from food poisoning. speaking to nobody in particular." I do not like this

I Yield to None: "I wonder if Maria would like this in the center of her
inne." The drow looked upon the fountain.... almost with fascination. He then
lifted an eyebrow and turned his gaze toward the fox girl. "Did you eat
something that didn't
I Yield to None: agree with you? Perhaps some bad... dragon meat?" Yea, he
was being a dick today, even without his Rough Demeanor flaw he was in one of
those moods.-
RanuIfr: Svek aint got the stomach for dirty work,::the words accompanied
another wad of saliva that was spit to the side and into the trees. Turning
his gaze back to the fountain, he rolled the axe quickly, the haft went
across the back of
Ashton Locke: "I'm certain she would not. And bringing it back is not at all
what our task is, at any rate." He wrinkled his nose a bit. It really didn't
smell very good, did it? He figured out how it worked while staring at it for
a moment, but
RanuIfr: his hand so that as his fingers once more curled to it his grip
rest nearer to the endcap of the axe.:: *D
Ashton Locke: that really wasn't something he felt like informing the rest
of the group of. They didn't need to know how it worked.
Tesarik One: They had arrived, and the fountain was before them. Their
mission could truly begin....
Allegro Luna: "it is the awful stench of evil, I mean drow..I mean evil" it
was very difficult for her to be mean effectively and she runs blacking out
of her words.She drew Vulpis Lunaris into both of her hands and was
preparing to attempt to
Ashton Locke: And if they were expecting the slow-ass psion to begin for
them, they were as crazy as they looked.
Allegro Luna: destroy the fountain to the best of her ability." Can I just
smash it?"
Ashton Locke: "By all means, go right ahead." He didn't know if that'd work
too well, but it'd be worth a shot.
I Yield to None: "This is going to be.... fun." He said, almost with a
sinister sneer upon that dark mouth. He lifted both arms, embedded in each
palm were the Black Focus Crystals he manifested earlier. Along his arm dark
magics began to swirl
FIames of Winter: seems a bit to easy to just stroll in here and blow it up
doesnt it ~She muttered mostly to Ran but well for anyone else that might be
listening. Still heck she was never one to complain about some bashing and
crashing, though she
FIames of Winter: doubted any normal arrows would work. She really was going
to have to look into getting arrows that went BOOM~ (D)

from his hands and were sent toward the fountain. Within each pillar an orb

thing..... Lifting an eyebrow he lowered his arms and absently began to latch
on his heavy claws. "Well then, it's going to be a bitch is it?" He said
mostly to himself though it

what could she do but take a shot at the blasted thing right. Hyrralmr was
slid down her shoulder and she took aim at the neck part of the statue hoping
it might be thinner

weapons. Go on and smash the thing, I'd like to see what happens."

seemed to lick along the bow and then on to the arrow as she released it at

felt it being answered. Veins stood out for a moment, the world took on a

more as he felt the divine rage building, and boiling within him now.::

Allegro Luna: She lifted her incredibly large two-handed claymore and
grinned to Dorian with her tail wagging Very excitedly. noticing what
happened she decided to try something different and placed her hand on the
very edge of the fountain."e

Tesarik One: Rhyldrin-
Tesarik One: Though the unholy water dripping and filling the fountain
basins did bubble up a bit when she touched it.
Allegro Luna: She did stub her toe!Ow.
I Yield to None: -Watches the team..... well continue to do nothing. Shaking
his head he decided to keep his distance and try another attack. Pulling his
paired Composite Shortbows he twisted them around until the one he wanted was
available and
Ashton Locke: He sighed at the...multitude of failed attacks on the
fountain. "Hit the damn thing, goodness. It's not like I'm asking you all to
figure out complicated brain surgery."
RanuIfr: ::He stared, head tilted and he spit a third time,::óvitr. ::Well
in his eyes that was an idiotic move and he would roll his axe over his hand
again growling. Legs bent, muscles tensed some as he rest on the balls of his
feet
I Yield to None: notched an arrow. Pulling it back he aimed for the skull
looking thing at the top and let it go. The big mouthed one was lucky the
drow had already let the arrow go as he hissed with annoyance. Though before
the arrow was drawn back

I Yield to None: the acidburst enchant was activated which when the arrow
impacted sent a small wave of acid onto the surface.-

Tesarik One: As the fountain is finally actually attacked and damage done,
it reacts quickly. Out of one of the statue's eyes a vine begins to grow,
snaking around and out of the fountain until it reaches a full sized assassin
vine. The flow of
Tesarik One: water turns a sickly green, like scum on a stagnant pond and
long tendrils of weeds grow from the lowest basin, extending around the
fountain. The weeds rapidly wrap around each of the heroes, entangling them.

Ashton Locke: He was going to try throwing some powder at the fountain, but
well...now there was that vine around. He eyed it and summoned up some
energy, then sent it at the thing....and something went wrong, because black
energy flew out of his
Ashton Locke: hand and flew straight at the vine, rather than whatever it
was he'd been trying to do. (Invocation: Rot)

flow from the statues eyes turns from the scummy water to a scalding stream
of polluted water. The heat is enough for those not immune to scald if they

upper basin, then grow until it is a full sized bearded devil which jumps
down to the ground with it's sawtoothed glaive in hand. Moving in for Sigyn,

Tesarik One: From one of the remaining statue's eyes something like grains
of golden sand dribble free. The stream of water from the top turns golden,
like a stream of honey and the smell of rotten fruit - now burning - assaults
their senses.
Tesarik One: The Grains of dust become black and yellow wasps with red eyes
before they even hit the upper basin, a stream of hellwasps pouring from the
statue. They headed for Dorian and surrounded him, trying to find good places
to sting him.

Ashton Locke: Well, no more wasps, and no more vine, and yet that fountain
was still around. Had they all lost their minds entirely? First they
eliminated his only real way of doing damage to the fountain, then they just,
for the most part,
Ashton Locke: stubbornly refused to attack it. Well, he'd just have to
improvise. He looked over towards the fountain, then lifted up a few big
heavy chunks of rock with his telekinesis, then slammed them into the rest of
the fountain to try and

still it was clinging to it's magic.

Tesarik One: The remaining statue's eyes and mouth turn pale gray and the
fire fades. They can now see the hellcats since there isn't enough light to
keep them invisible... but the grey sludge oozes out of the statue and drops
to the water

the lowest basin overflows, dumping a gray ooze onto the ground. It slithers
towards Dorian, wrapping around his legs like a consttrictor snake, it's acid

her, and then both attacked at the same time. One bit down hard onto her
thigh, and on the other side it raked it's nasty claws down her body as it
attacked.

Tesarik One: As that final strike of the shield hit the fountain, it had
taken all the blows it could take and it crashed down around him, probably on
top of him too. But, that was very little damage compared to what happened
when the magic was
Tesarik One: broken. First, all the summoned beasties the fountain had
summoned completely disappeared, as a palpable wave of evil energy was
released from that extremely huge, and powerful, ancient evil relic.

I Yield to None: -When the fountain exploded he felt the wave of dark,
ancient and powerful evil erupt outward. Normally he wouldn't mind such a
feeling but considered it was done against him he groaned a bit and shivered
for a time.-

RanuIfr: ::At the additional damage he snarled, no it was more a roar of
rage before shoving up causing the rubble to crash from the shield into the
water around him. Panting, flesh blackened in areas and bleeding he moved
from the water and

flowing through him. The feeling of such immense darkness seemingly stealed
his resolve away to become even more powerful than what the fountain

Breathing heavily he gave a grunt, even spit out a puff of black smoke from a
bit of charred insides. Fingers released the axe handle, the hand raised and

destroyed it. Looking around he ammused himself with such thoughts while
attempting to bring his body back under control.-
RanuIfr: drawing inward, seeking Eir's blessing. The prayer was to mend as
much as his damages as she would allow, eyes was closed as he reached out to

Ashton Locke: He felt that wave of evil energy of course, but it didn't
bother him much at all. He wrinkled his nose as it felt a bit unpleasant, but
it could've been worse. Eyes shifted over towards Ranulfr. "Do you require
healing?" He looked
Ashton Locke: worst of all of 'em, really.
FIames of Winter: ~She hissed softly feeling the flow of power over her, not
something she wanted to feel again in the future if she could help it.
However seeing Ran flop out she hurried over to him, ignoring the little
annoyance the flow of evil

RanuIfr: ::Teeth grit some, he felt the wounds working to heal. There was
still quite a bit of burns on his flesh but he was no longer crawling into
the grave. Eyes slowly opened and he coughed shaking his head,::no not t-the
grave yet.
RanuIfr: Was close,::a nod before shaking his head towards the one asking if
he needed healing.::I still have a bit left in me. ::He grit his teeth some
and was using a bit of his own inner reserves to continue repairing damage

point. It would probably be a good idea for someone to grab a piece of the

Ashton Locke: He nodded. It was probably for the best, as he couldn't
provide much healing anyway. He was more of a disease specialist, not wounds.
He moved over to the fountain and grabbed a chunk of it, then away he went,
opting to just
Ashton Locke: teleport back rather than take the portal. He'd leave the rock
so they could find the portal, however.
I Yield to None: -A couple of chunks were gathered actually, just in case
any powers remained that he could manage to pull out. Either way three pieces
were taken in all before he began to make his way back with the others.-

RanuIfr: ::He took that rock, a touch was given to Sigyn as he was tapping
