Update 2.32
Greetings, OH Members:
This month is flying by it seems, I hope all the various storylines and quest arcs are keeping you busy and happy roleplayers. Please, if you haven't plugged into one or more of the offered storylines going on right now, please do so. Right off the top of my head there is the Dark Omens storyline I'm leading, Jake is starting a storyline with war up north, and Tim has his Dunsany storyline. Jake is even attempting to work out the kinks for a message board run quest, so keep an eye out for that if that interests you.
I want to remind you all about rolling a natural 20. Even if say a spell save is DC26, if you roll a 20 you pass that save. It works for all checks. And as you all know a 20 Strike is a Critical Hit. Critical hits double the combat dice you've rolled ONLY.
We've added a good number of new skills this week, most of which are corresponding to the new races we added last time. But, Black Mage has also been revamped a bit. My next project is revamping Priest, as I noticed while trying to build an evil priest that most of the priest skills cater to the holy - not the unholy. It needs some work.
Don't forget, if you have crafting skills it's time for you to ask for your crafting points. Don't forget to tell ashtonlocke and let him know how you want your points divided between skills if you have multiples...i.e. "Alchemy 8CP, Artisan 2CP". If you have skills or items that give you more points, you need to claim that on your email.
RECRUIT BONUS
You don't have to sit in a boring stuffy recruit hall to recruit! The best recruiting comes from just roleplaying in public, and having people wander in and ask questions. There's going to be an incentive for recruiting starting tonight, allowing new recruits to start at a higher rank than they normally would.
All new characters start at 30XP, and 2,000gp. This allows a new character to start at Crystal Journeyman (2d28), and with just a little bit of work they'll easily rank up and be able to choose their first profession.
You get 10XP for recruiting a new player's character into OH. This does not include recruiting characters from current players, or your own new characters. It must be a NEW player to the game. Make sure to remind them to put your screen name so you will get the credit.

--5. Immunity to Charm
We have struggled to define this skill for a while, so I finally officially defined it. It had zero parameters before and could have been abused very badly, so now it has parameters. If you have this skill and no longer want it due to the change I've made, feel free to switch it out - for free. This week only.
Immunity to Charm : You are immune to the sweet and seductive words of a Charmer. A Charmer cannot seduce or charm you by any means, magic or otherwise, outside of combat. The following skills do not work: All You Can Think About, Aura of Lust, Forgetful Caress, Smoldering Glance and Pheromones. Spells that attempt to charm or seduce the target outside of combat simply do not work.
Prerequisites: Bard, Noble, Rogue, Thief Adept, Swordmaster, Charmer or Arcane Class only

--6. Growth Potion Changed
This potion causes you to grow twice your size, including anything on your person such as weapons and gear and clothing. During the time you are twice your size you may double your Strength Trait on attacks, but you are easier to hit, taking a -2 to your Defense DC. It lasts 1d2 rounds.
