In the courtyard was a twelve foot tree, ready for Vilkas to come along, and blow ice upon its branches forming a thin layer of ice upon its needles which made the green needles glimmer in the light. Thin candles were then affixed to the branched themselves to illuminate the night, the candles would be placed throughout the tree, so no part of the tree was left in darkness and all the pretty ornaments would be clearly seen. Delicate glass orbs and spirals of an array of colors hung from each branch.
The giantkin walked around the tree, hanging wooden sculptures small in size, the Dragon hung gold coins upon a tartan sash representing the colors of his Shalott nobility.
